Reception staff polite, however, hotel requires a bit of refurbishing, bedrooms really musty, sink plug hole smelled and toilet didn't flush properly. Stayed for one night.

Cheap room, decent location. Only gripe is the noise overnight, as the rooms are very close together and not very well insulated against sound. However, it was a good nights sleep and surprisingly cool on a hot night. Overall, would recommend for a place to stay on a budget.

Get what you paid for advised if you want to save money.

Horrible experience. Never book there. Bedsheet was dirty and not changed. Smell of cigarette in the room. A huge vase in washroom. Single glazed window on the main road, it was a very noisy room. Couldnt sleep whole night. A loud alarm for breakfast woke you up at 7am. Awful.

Friendly value for money overnight. We have stayed here twice in the past month and both times we received a friendly welcome, clean warm basic room, and a good cooked breakfast. For the money paid I rate it as great value and for those who don't rate it I think they are perhaps not being fair for the £40 double price or did not seek assistance of the helpful receptionist as I did one evening.

Nothing like the pictures. Decor is literally falling off the wall, so tired and uncomfortable it would book at your peril. Management is rude and unhelpful. I would just pay a bit more and stay ANYWHERE else.

+ + + clean, comfortable, and good value for money (winter months of January). Breakfast included but finished early (9am only) — small flats small room, no pressure in the shower (upstairs)

Very nice hotel in the suburbs, uncomfortable to get to the center of London. Smell very unpleasant but rooms quite large and spacious. Breakfast.

Hotel looked nice and clean. I was surprised when I was shown to my room and it wasn't even in the hotel. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever lay on. The plus side is the breakfast was very good.

Receptionist was very gentle and attentive Explain everything to my client in first meeting.

Toilets are very bad in condition. Rooms had really bad odour and the carpets were really dirty. Rooms were really dark and the lights were so dull couldn't get ready in dark. Manager is very rude. Will not recommend and won't go back there either.

The area is rather poorer, no hot water, room very cramped, toilet available, however, the standing in it is difficult, as it is directly untet the sloping roof.
There is a bathtub and it is intended for all guests, not a private bathroom.
The breakfast is OK, and the service is very nice, only the rooms and facilities are very poor.

A standard Hotel, nothing as big as a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn but noy that much different to a base version of theres. Staff are friendly, night staff are helpfull. The breakfast room provides english style breakfast in a room on the right of the hotel kust through the bar which has plenty of seating. Parking is free but limited and spaces are a little tight. The room we had was suitable for 4 person (2.2 family) again straight forward for needs and a large shower area. Electrical socket in our room was iffy and limited so next time here I would bring a (safe) socket extention to charge the gadgets and watch TV. Overall I would call here again… not to far from main high streer and public transportation… catch the bus from outside to get to the underground in 2 min. Also there's a park oposite which looks nice but was not open fully during our stay.

I would not even give it a star if I could. Room was so dirty, we had to walk around with our shoes on in our room. The bed was terrible, the shower didn't work. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. I wouldn't like my dog to sleep in there.

Cheap and cheerful rooms. All you can eat cooked breakfast. Can fault it.

Low cost, fairly large and clean rooms, renovated compared to the last time we were there, kettle x tea and coffee available every day in the room, flat screen TV, bar, abundant breakfast. Bus stop right in front, in 3 stops you are at the Metro which in half an hour takes you downtown.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Would Never Ever Recommend! The Shower Didn't work at all and We had no cold water so we couldn't even wash! The Heating couldn't be turned off so the room was just unbearable to sleep in! The room also felt cramped and really claustrophobic and the furniture definitely felt "miss matched" in every way. The location as well is really really noisy and our room was right next to the reception so there was loud bangs, shouting and talking all night as well. The Staff also kept bugging me about my age, I was asked numerous times if I was over 18 even though I kept saying yes! (just because I am very short doesn't mean I am a child! ) Overall it was just terrible, Nothing worked, Couldn't even get to sleep and couldn't bare to stay in the room even though I and my parter were there for one night!

Avoid this hotel at all costs… The room was boiling hot, and the only window opened into a hotel office. The bathroom was dirty, TV didn't work, and all night drunk and noisy people were up and down the corridors being very loud.

Absolutely horrendous I mean I know it was cheap but pins exposed on the bathroom floor and rude staff who don't seem very bothered. Heating could not be turned off room was etrememly hot we waited for someone to come to the room to turn it off they did not turn up. Would not recommend to anyone it's a miracle they have even got any stars. Would have been fine if the staff actually cared and came to help us fix the very small issues would have not bothered to complain.

I will recommend this hotel becouse the service room and Customer service was good. Also I was given a good deal.

Basic hotel with basic breakfast included. For the price and location it's ok fairly well cleaned rooms could do with a bit more attention to detail staff are friendly and helpful. Over all ok for a story stay.

Amazinf park view at the front. Delicious breakfast and nice and friendly staff. I would like to visit this hotel again.

A complete dump. If they have too many visitors they put you in a random house on the street nearby. Pay £10 more and stay in a travelodge.

Wow! What a surprise! I booked a room at Rossmore Hotel (mid April 2015) before reading the reviews. After reading the reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive. On arrival, I was allocated Room 6. I asked to see the room, before making a payment and (without hesitation) was given the key by the very courteous and friendly receptionist. The room was clean, spacious enough for a single and the ensuite shower/wc was clearly recently refitted and was immaculate. I had a good night's sleep, my shower next morning instantly ran as hot as I needed. Tea and coffee available in room. Breakfast was served in a dining room with about ten tables of four (all new matching furniture). The food and drinks were great: choice of two fruit juices, three cereals, well — cooked buffet (fried and scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, beans and tomatoes), tea or coffee, toast with butter, jam or marmalade. Good quality and as much as you wanted. Everything well cooked and presented, staff very attentive and cleared used dishes etc promptly. Five bus routes on the doorstep, a lovely park opposite and strong signal, free Wi-Fi — couldn't have asked for more or better. Would make an excellent base for seeing London — twenty minutes by bus from Olympic Park. All this for £44 — unbelievable! I hope this hotel gets the excellent reputation it deserves.

Stayed in worse places. But I'd only stay as a last resort in Ilford.

AWFUL hotel. First room had damp and NO heating, damp patches all over the ceiling and walls, plug sockets were broken, holes in the sheets, dirty towels, filthy carpets and skirting boards, disgusting bathroom. No kettle, coffee, etc. No mirror. No iron, hair-dryer, etc. Three single beds instead of a double and one single. Only after having to spend the night there and beg/plead/argue with the staff did we get another room at 11PM the next night, which was, again, filthy. Also had a broken bed, and worst of all, water pouring in from the ceiling THROUGH THE LIGHT FITTING. Absolutely zero help from the staff, who had no idea how to handle any situation, although they were also listening to complaints from every other guest there. Staff are often rude, and always hopeless. No night/weekend manager so nobody on duty is authorised to handle any problem of any kind. I was shouted at by an employee of another hotel who had come in to help this one for having the cheek to complain about the state of the rooms. The bar is closed all weekend. The breakfast is microwaved (yes, including the bacon, etc). Not enough space in the dining room for all guests. We are currently seeking a FULL REFUND and will never, ever go near this dump again. It is dirty, smelly and DANGEROUS. Trading Standards, here I come.

Fragrance was off putting. Floorboards were creaky and bed was shockingly bad. Had to sleep on top of duvet in between springs! bathroom? converted cupboard was awful, showerhead broken and no toiletries. All in all don't even go there. for your 40 quid by some broadsheets and sleep in your car.
