Just has the eggs benedict special was absolutely amazing deffo recommend.

The food is delicious, the rooms are lovely and the people are friendly and welcoming.

Had takeaway pizza this evening. It was absolutely amazing. Bacon blue cheese and mushroom. We would definitely recommend. Beautiful food, lovely and hot. Great service. Thankyou. X.

Awesome meal from the specials board tonight, Steak/Stilton/Mushroom/Onion Calzone with a Peppercorn Sauce… absolutely delicious, courtesy of Chris the Chef… hopefully to be repeated on the menu soon.

I've just been for a lovely lunch at the Kings Head House. The food was great and very reasonably priced — proper home made chips and a lovely steak. My friend had pizza from the wood-fired pizza oven, also declared delicious. Liz the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The ambience is cosy and relaxed. Can highly recommend!

Huge thanks to Anthony the Manager and The Kings Head Hotel team, we enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch yesterday for our birthday celebration (candles on our cheeseboard and singing included! ) and returned again in the evening for Music Bingo and many laughs as organised and hosted by Angela x.

I’ve been very impressed with the Kings Head Hotel after a recent visit. Having booked for lunch a couple of days in advance, the staff ensured that my party were well catered for. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

A pub that has struggled but, since changing hands has made great strides forward. A good selection of food and drinks. Welcoming and friendly staff. Also a good place to stay the night. The rooms are modern and light, very well furnished.

Really lovely modern pub. Friendly staff and good food for Friday lunch, although my Ragu was a little dry for my taste. Would love to go back again to try out other dishes though! ☺️

Stayed 1 night, checked in around 10pm. Room was very clean and bed was super comfy! Also had a Big breakfast in the morning, coffees were lovely. Hosts were also great, very helpful. Defiantly would recommend.

This is one of my favourite pubs for many reasons. The food is really good… especially the pizzas from their wood fired pizza oven (and yes, they do take away pizza). You can see that the chef takes pride in everything he does. There are a good selection of wines and the Wickwar beers are very good. All the staff here are really nice and friendly, they always make you feel welcome. There is an enclosed rear garden which is a really peaceful place to unwind and is safe for little ones and our four legged friends. Dogs are welcome here with pls th of treats available for them. Anyone I've spoken to that has stayed at the Kings Head say the bedrooms are really nice and the breakfast is superb. If you've not been for a while then give it a go… I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Nice place for a bite of lunch. Good service, tasty and fresh. Good coffee and cake too.

Absolutely love this pub.
They have just installed a new wood fired pizza oven. The food before was good but these pizzas are truly exceptional.
They are also dog friendly with an enclosed rear garden and make every effort with our four legged friends… bisciits on the bar.
Drinks are well priced and a good variety of wines.
Will be visiting again… and again… and again!

Our Sunday roast was not as good as our meal last week which was from the evening and la Carte menu. There were too few vegetables, burnt roast potatoes and the beef was rather tough. Although the menu suggests there are gluten free options, we had to ask about making the gravy gluten free and the only pudding option was icecream (until we were offered fruit in addition)

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was absolutely lovely. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Landlord was quick to take our money but slow to tell us they no longer serve food on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. As we were only staying on the Sunday we had to go to the only local restaurant that was open, La Campagna, which was delicious. Also, damp in the room was attempted to be covered up by paint and air fresheners and the room sloped so drastically that when I got up in the morning I nearly fell over. Dump.

Great place for locals and visitors alike lovely atmosphere and tasty food.

Had a roast dinner today and I have to say it was the best one I’ve had in a long time. We went months back and it was nothing compared to what we had today. It was Definitely worth the money and even better with the kids eat free! We Will definitely be booking to come again in a few weeks time! Thankyou.

Best roast dinner around! Even better than the last time I went a couple of months ago! I don’t know where you get your veg from but I haven’t had carrots that tasty in so long!

At last a serious landlord. We had Sunday lunch last weekend and it was good. Roast potatoes crisp as you like, and gravy to die for. Most importantly it was a quick served very hot roast, which is a priority for me. Try their sea fury ale, (Doom bar plus). Very nice. This pub is a vast improvement.

Lovely, warm friendly staff. Stayed for 1 night, cosy, spotless rooms. Ate in the restaurant and would definately recommend the prosciutto wrapped chicken!

Stayed here for 1 night the room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The landlord was very welcoming and friendly. We had a drink in the bar all the locals were very friendly. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Had a nice, clean room for 3 days. Some issues o cured diring our stay. All solved by the general manage who is very friendly. Restaurant and room staff need some more advice how to handle claims and issues. Due to the issue we woke up by a wrong fire alarm in the morning we got a discount without asking for…

I rate this place highly as it is a beautiful old building that has been well restored and the interiors are cool and well designed. The staff are very friendly too. I appreciate it as it is near a big motorway and it was so much nicer stopping here for a break rather than one of those snack-factories on the m5. We should do more to support these kind of local establishments.

We had a lunch here before Christmas prior to booking The Boardroom for a family party later this year. The staff were very personable and helpful and the food exceptional. Now looking forward to the party.

More of a restaurant than a pub, this is a stylish establishment with excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices.
