Lovely little Hotel only 5 minutes from the beach and five minutes from the town centre. Book in for one night to go to the Pavilion to see a show good breakfast staff attentive.

Most comfortable (and by far the biggest) hotel bed I've ever slept in! Really nice room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of food and choice with the breakfast (included in the room rate). Very conveniently situated for both town centre and sea front. Parking a bit difficult, but you can reserve a space if you book early enough. Will definitely stay there again.

We visit every year to relax in the run up to Christmas, staff very attentive and very clean hotel. As for the breakfast it is lovely and sets you up for the day. Totally worth the five stars!

The double room was pleasantly decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was no shower just a bath with rubber shower hose to connect to the tap. Could have done with a full size mirror in the bedroom. I would stay there again and would recommend. Try to pre book your parking as space is limited. Close to car park though and good central location.

Only stayed briefy on a work trip but had a very relaxing stay. The room was very bright and modern with a tremendously comfortable bed. The breakfast the following morning was perfect with pretty much all bases covered with their menu. And very friendly staff too!

Stayed there, bad room it was cold, it was smelly. No wheat or gluten free choice for breakfast. Parking a nightmare and bedding was poly mix and linen too.

Stayed for a weekend. Rooms were a great price, basic but very suitable, although shower pressure was low. Breakfast was great, lovely clean restaurant. And of course, super close to the beach. Exmouth is a great place, especially in the summer.

Clean room, smart reception area and food was good. Parking is an issue so make sure you ask for them to reserve a space. Its got a nice feel to it and really close to the seafront.

The reception staff at The Dolphin hotel are friendly and efficient. The reception area looks stylish. The bed and breakfast is good value for the area. We had pre-ordered a vegan breakfast. There was soya milk waiting on our table in the breakfast room, along with a nice selection of fresh fruit and cereals. The waitress offered us eggs and did not seem to understand that vegans choose not to eat animal products. The cooked English breakfast consisted of sausages, baked beans and hash browns with dry toast. It could have been improved with margarine, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach. The only negatives are: The electric sockets in our room were down by the floor. To plug the kettle in, we had to place it on the floor. To dry my hair, I had to sit on the floor. The only mirror was too far away and too high up to look in whilst drying my hair. Install another socket please! We would still stay here again.

Friend hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Perfect location.

My nan and grandad had a great time. They visit us every year and they always stay at the dolphin. Great service.

Brilliant hotel. Well run, very clean, brilliant breakfast in a large dining area. Cannot recomend this place enough! Stayed due to work but will be coming back for a stay with my misses and explore Exmouth. Cannot recomend enough.

A little concerned having read 2 spurious reports from others. We all six of us Booked in early afternoon. The place was clean tidy with intresting decor, the staff were very friendly and accomadating. We were shown to our rooms personaly, the rooms were clean tidy with great attention to detail in laying out the towels and toiletries. We had asked for some hairdryers which were duly deliverd to our respective rooms. I wonder what others expect for £30 a night? breakfast was brought forward 30 min at our request no problem! Breakfast was comprehensive and diverse Thank you Sharon. This is an old building and as such will not be brand new in its decor but what has been achieved was above average and to a very high standard. All in all a good stay & great value Nice comfortable welcoming bar again well decorated and adorned very friendly staff thank you all once again see you later in the year.

Great hotel. Excellent location, short stroll to town centre or beach. Rooms fresh and clean, bathroom spotless. Staff very friendly. We spent the evening with friends in the bar area, lovely squidgy setees. Breakfast served very quickly, lovely full english. Much better than staying in a stuffy hotel, highly recommended.
