Really lovely hotel with friendly staff, good food and beautiful rooms and spa. They were also very welcoming of our dogs and provided beds and bowls which was thoughtful. The only slight gripe is that the only place that the dogs could go out for a wee was in the field opposite and there were sheep in this field, so we couldn't let the dogs off the lead. There were "No Dogs" signs on every other piece of grass around the hotel. A minor issue though and we would very happily return.

Amazing overnight stay been had, amazing time in the Spa and Infinity pool, amazing food also… cant compliment the staff enough, especially Monika, Harry and Josh. Thankyou for doing everything you could to give us the best experience, myself and my daughter will definitely be back 😊

Just had a a lovely meal at Mizu restaurant, absolutely gorgeous food and fantastic service. Thankyou to Emma and Ben, absolutely faultless. Can't wait to come back again.

Do not welcome disabled guests! We’re told to leave as wheelchair didn’t fit in 2ft x 2ft lift. The most obnoxious ignorant manager. Avoid at all costs even the owner agreed that disabled are not welcome! Terrible terrible staff and management.

The room was poor, no air conditioning. Very basic for the price, of £290 Tried charging us for meals we didn’t order Smoked salmon was going off. Ribeye steak was so dry when I asked for it to be medium rare, no taste or flavour Was having a conversation with the head waiter about desserts and he walked off right in front of us and took someone else’s order, Poor hotel.

Sadly it wasn’t as good as the previous year. We didn’t pay for our meals as they were disastrous. Service was exceptionally poor and the room wasn’t worth the money we paid for one night. Rather annoyed that after such a disastrous stay they asked me to pay 45p on my final tab Really 45p…

Just amazing! Like a Swiss spa. Awesome views. Fabulous pool. Friendly staff. This will become my “go to” hotel! X.

Awful service. Ended up leaving after ordering drinks and they never arrived so we went to Mary Mount Hotel 1 minute down road and really enjoyed it and processco is a lot cheaper per bottle. Win win.

Wait an hour to be served bring wrong drinks and missing food. Been going here for over 15 years. Never again. Shocking service.

Great setting let down by poor service and dirty cups, glasses, knives, spoons and carpets.
All in all the setting for a perfect hotel. However it would seam that staff are less than attentive and the dish washing facility’s far from par. Not what I would expect mid pandemic.
Not what you would expect from a “4” star hotel…
All in all a disappointing stay.

A lovely two night stay in this gorgeous hotel and spa. Stayed in a Spa Suite with full spa access. Lovely staff, especially in the restaurants and bars, who couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely hotel, great food and amazing staff, so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. If I could ask them to change one thing it would be to have some standard dining size tables in the doggie area, eating a meal on a low coffee table isn't always ideal…

Facilities were superb, staff very friendly and helpful and the treatments were wonderful. A really relaxing experience.

Visited here earlier this week and couldn’t recommend enough. We started our visit with the loveliest afternoon tea, there was plenty of food that we didn’t finish it all! We then spent time in the beautiful spa, it was super romantic & both of our treatments were incredible. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, I cannot wait to return.

A fabulous spa day started with 2 course lunch in the lake view restaurant with a view across the lake to the snow capped mountains. The Christmas decorations and lights were amazing! The spa and treatment were relaxing and can highly recommend a visit where staff are so helpful and welcoming thank you.

After a recent visit to Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa I thought I would share my views. We found our stay very relaxing. Both the hotel and spa were impeccably clean. We were lucky to stay at the front of the hotel and the views over the lake were amazing. We could not fault our stay. We dined in the two restaurants the Lake View and Mizu, the food in both was excellent but quite different. Highly recommend you try both. The Spa was so good that we booked it twice. The view from the outdoor Hydrotherapy pool was stunning. Our stay was made so much more enjoyable by the very friendly staff. I would especially like to mention Terry who worked in the bar, Colin who help arrange my mum’s 85th birthday celebration in the Lake View restaurant, Kesley who was a very pleasant young lady whose company we enjoyed in the Lake View restaurant and last but not least Holly who helped us book our next stay in December to celebrate my husband’s birthday. A great relaxing place to stay. Look forward to meeting everyone again.

Amazing spa experience with fantastic steam rooms, treatments, view across Derwentwater and a delicious lunch at Mizu restaurant. Can’t recommend enough.

Fabulous hotel! Went for a wedding staff was very helpful, and the grounds are beautiful plus right next to a lake! Where you can take a boat or kayak out, idea for any break.

My wedding day at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa was the best day of my life.
The hotel is beautiful and the wedding staff team are amazing they was all organised and cool and calm on the day.
The stay was very welcoming and the atmosphere in the hotel is very romantic and relaxed.
Every guest said it was the best wedding ever The spa manager Davina is awesome she’s very calming and kind and will do absolutely anything to make your stay at Lodore relaxing & refreshing.
The treatments in the spa was excellent & the facilities outstanding.

Absolutley overwhelmed by the amount of time that the staff at lodore put in before, during and after our most perfect wedding day ❤️ we certainly couldn't have asked for a better venue for our day. The most beautiful hotel in the lakes. The new spa is simply stunning, the best one I've been to. So relaxing. The staff are so friendly and polite. We cannot wait to come back again.

Breakfast good, plenty of choice, but hot food was brought out and we were still eating cereal, felt a little rushed and didn’t finish cereal.

Charged us twice for our room. Have not replied to my emails or calls to resolve. Currently owe me about £1, 500 from an unauthorised transaction taken a week ago. UPDATE — recently discovered that a staff member has keyed in my card details into their machine and then signed on my behalf on the day of my departure. I have correspondence with the hotel acknowledging that I had left early. Joy! Still no refund and we're coming up to a month in.

A wonderful place to visit for walks, good food and that 'Lake District' experience. Take the boat from the near shore and explore Derwent Water before soaking up the hustle and bustle of Keswick. Return to the hotel for the welcoming bar and a comfortable night.

Staying here for two nights for a function, over the weekend, can't wait to leave. Poor customer service, the restaurant service was rushed and abrupt. The bar closes early. Only ham sandwiches were so called available for room service. Poor quality of spoken English for a hotel in England. Bathrooms are outdated and the room keys are the size of an iPhone. Requires new management. I would not go back!

Was here for a team building day. Beautiful location. The food was lovely. Attentive helpful staff and they welcome dogs.

Just spent 2 fantastic days celebrating our Silver wedding anniversary. Suite was amazing, food excellent, staff all well trained and efficient. Thank you for the lovely chocolates this was a nice touch and appreciated.

Perfect in every way. We’ve just had our wedding at this beautiful venue & I cannot fault at all. From Daryl & Georgina who helped me arrange the special occasion and put up with my constant emails, to David who worked like clockwork to ensure we had the best day possible. We would really like to thank all the staff for making our wedding weekend the best ever!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, especially in the UK. The decor is beautiful and tasteful. The grounds are meticulously maintained with well stocked planters etc. The furniture, both indoor and outdoor is of excellent quality. Everything is well appointed with fine attention to detail. The room was spacious and extremely clean and maintained to high standard. It's not cheap, but due to the extremely high standards it attains, it's worth it. You're worth it! My only critique would be the lack of air conditioning, but they'll happily supply a large fan.

This place was amazing! Loveley clean room, great views and the service is spectacular! Me and my boyfriend didn't plan on eating at the restaurant as we are both vegan and assumed they wouldn't cater for us. The waitress we had was so nice and asked the chef to make us our own 5 course vegan meal. Great customer service and would return again.

Okay, I am biased; I got married at this hotel 12 years ago and have always loved the place, but I have to say that the care and attention the owners invest in maintaining the standard of the building, the facilities and the staff training, remains outstanding and I’d not hesitate in highly recommending this hotel. A true 4 star hotel in the beautiful Borrowdale valley, my wife and I try to visit at least yearly and always relish the escape, cocooned in wonderful surroundings… and fine food. And whilst I was slightly skeptical about the new Asian fusion restaurant — Misu — it is terrific and I absolutely suggest a visit whilst you’re at The Lodore. The hotel does attract a certain crowd of “I have money and am grumpy” and they do write unkindly here, but ignore them, go and enjoy a wonderful visit.

Lovely stay for our aniversary. Excellent service and nice dinner and for me took care as I need gluten free for health reasons. Lovely gf scone on arrival too. Just tge breakfast was disappointing.

On Saturday 24th March 2018 we had our wedding reception at the Lodore Falls Hotel. It was a truly amazing day. We were lucky enough to have use of the new function room and the conservatory. The room was a good size and a great canvas for us to express our wedding in the way we wanted to. The room looked absolutely stunning, and was commented upon by all guests and staff. The food which was served (5 courses) was absolutely beautiful. We have been to weddings in the lakes and the food has been poor. The food at the Lodore was beautiful. It was presented beautifully and tasted gorgeous. The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional, the day could not have ran smoother. We had Leroy Johnson perform during the day and his band The Flicks performed with him on the night. A dance floor was set up in the room by staff and again it was brilliant. The rooms in the hotel were also stunning. They were immaculately presented, decorated well, simply stunning. We had a beautiful view of Derwent water from our tower room. Emma Stoszkowski was our photographer and she was absolutely superb. The location of the Lodore Falls Hotel, means that you can get the most beautiful wedding location photographs. You have access to the waterfall, Ashness Bridge, Ashness Jerry and Surprise View. All are within 1/2 mile of the hotel and are just beautiful. I cannot recommend the hotel more highly. It is a must for a wedding. It is beautiful.

Went for afternoon tea. Verdict: Nearly. Lovely location and environs. However, their luxury afternoon tea doesn't quite get it right. It was a bit hit and miss, unfortunately. Some dry sandwiches and some missing filling. We gave feedback, fingers crossed they make the necessary improvements.

Came here for a wedding, beautiful hotel and stunning surroundings, I would highly recommend this for a holiday or an event!

Poor customer service from the so called managers. Emailed them several times to be passed on to several members of staff. Explained to them that we were unable to attend our sons wedding in October due to a family fallout with the bride and her family. Tried to explain to the managers that if we attended this would cause trouble which would look bad for the hotel. My sister got a full refund when she cancelled. They have refused to give me my money back. They have cancelled the room and probably will sell the room again. Totally unaccepted. They are getting paid for the room twice. Its not like its a small concern. They have a chain of hotels. Very selfish and greedy of them.

Gorgeous. We got married in Kendal and spent 2 days before and 2 days afterwards enjoying the Spar facillities. Afternoon tea, lovely walks and great food. Our balcony was right over an amazing thundering river-very beautiful and brilliant double glazing as we didn't hear a thing once the doors shut. A lovely clean modern room. A fantastic stay. Look forward to going again.

Stayed in the Tower Suite which is lovely and has stunning lake and fell views, great hotel with lovely staff and food. Great location, only real downside is that it is a bit pricey!

"ABSOLUTELY STUNNING LOCATION" (made even better with their fantastic Christmas decorations, truly beautiful) It was our first time at the lodore falls, And I can honestly say without a doubt it will not be our last visit/stay. Everything was just perfect, from the friendly and helpful staff, To the gorgeous food, all three courses at night and the outstanding breakfast in the morning was just what the doctor ordered. My only slight criticism would be, There is no mobile phone signal at all and the Wi-Fi signal is absolutely atrocious (now some people might class this as a bonus) but I think every hotel should have Wi-Fi. Also there wasn't any bourbon behind the bar (just Jack Daniel's) If it wasn't for those minor faults I would of gladly given 5 stars.

Nothing particular to complain about, but didn't really reach the expectations we were anticipating, wouldn't rush to return and much prefer the Borrowdale Hotel where the food and service are equally good if not better and the staff are more homely and approachable.

Well me and my boyfriend are currently driving back to Manchester after a lovely day out in the Lake District however on route, the dreaded happened — we drove over a particular rough patch in the road and got a puncture! We attempted to change the tire ourselves but to make matters worse we didn't have the right equipment so I ran over to the first place I found which happened to be The Lodore Falls Hotel and what a good decision that turned out to be! The most decent, kind and helpful gents we could have asked for! They came out in the pouring rain, got the tire changed and sent us on our way! Massive thank you to all of the team and especially to Adrian, Matt and the receptionist who offered his assistance in the first place, you didn't have to help us out but we're so glad you did, we couldn't have managed without you! A fantastic group of people and we hope to come back in the near future and actually stay at the hotel!

Had dinner at the restaurant. Food and service was very good. Negatives are the room smells of old carpet and very limited Wi-Fi in the room (to almost none). We stayed in 208.

Purchased some pots of coffee which was amazing. The service was professional and the hotel is run to an extremely high standard. Seen some people being served some food and that looked incredible too. Do not hesitate if considering a visit.

Stayed for 3 nights with my mum. We had booked two single rooms which were upgraded complimentary to double rooms on arrival. The rooms were luxurious. What a lovely thing to do. They were fell facing, looking on to building site. We were out during the day when the work took place, so didn't disturb us. Breakfasts could be improved, eggs not cooked right twice. Evening meals were very good. We had booked DBB and there was a varied choice up to 5 courses from 2 menus. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay and the bar/lounge area was relaxing and chilled.

Popped in half way through a walk for a well deserved drink. They advertised that they're happy for ramblers to do that which is nice. Nice service!

Stopped in for drinks along the Derwentwater walk after visiting Lodore Falls. Lovely place, attendant staff, beautiful surrounding and excellent food. Will be nicer when all the surrounding building work is complete.

Stayed here early September 2016 — Amazing views over the lakes — Choice of food for breakfast was excellent — Rooms whilst looking a little dated were huge, and the bed was very comfy. — Grounds were well kept and were nice to walk around. — We also ordered room service after our 15 mile hike during the day, food was delicious and well priced! Would definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived yesterday for my husbands birthday with 2 of our friends what a fantastic day and night we had. There were a few minor problems don't get us wrong (we were booked on the lazy Sunday deal some of the staff didn't know what that deal was about so we were nearly given a 3 course meal instead of a 5, we didn't get any canapés with our cocktails as no one had told the kitchen. I had pre warned the hotel that it was my husbands birthday so to really make a fuss of him they had said they were going to put a birthday card and chocolates in the room for him the chocolate was there but no card, we were seated an hour later than should of been for our dinner and it was pre booked for 12pm, some of the staff were generally quite rude and had no idea why we were there or what was going on). On the plus side our room was beautiful and had a balcony overlooking the lake it was really clean and tidy, the food was absolutely amazing I have never tasted food of that quality so fresh and full of flavour, all of the staff came out and sang happy birthday to my husband with the cake that they had made for him, the restaurant staff were brilliant we were waited on hand and foot so well looked after and ROY made our evening the best it could of possibly of been he was brilliant so kind and attentive really looked after us we would definitely return just to see him again and definitely recommend xxxxxxx.

Nice hotel. Amazing location! Slightly disappointing. We did not receive our complimentary scones upon arrival as promised. Nevertheless, perfect location to explore!

We took the ferry from Keswick and stopped off for food and drinks. The waiters were very friendly and the service was exceptionable. We sat outside looking at the breathtaking views. Our only negative was the disruption caused by an extension being built. Hopefully the next time we visit, this will have been completed. Highly recommended for all visitors including walkers, cyclists and dog owners.

The room was good bed was really good but the room service was rubbish and the food was bland others who stayed also had the same issue with their food.

Attended a wedding there. Very nice place. Pretty grounds and the building was very nice. To me the food was standard and staff members were very mixed in how helpful they were.

Stopped for coffee. Staff had to be asked repeatedly to clear the previous guests dirty plates and glasses from the table, didn't seem to know where any orders were meant to be going, and were generally pretty indifferent and uninterested.

Lovely location overlooking the lake at Keswick. We stayed in a deluxe room with patio doors overlooking the lake with a balcony and seating area. We found the room clean but was overwhelmed by the strong smell of air freshener which was unbearable even with the patio doors open. Bed was uncomfortable too. We ate in the restaurant, food & service was good if not a little overpriced. Overall nice hotel in a good location.

We love the Lodore, great hotel, great team of dedicated staff. Whats not to like. And only 200 metres from 's lake side house. Paddle and Pamper yourself in the valley.

I enjoyed the Lodore Luxury Afternoon Tea, served in the bar, overlooking in the lake. I liked being able to choose the sandwich fillings and the bottomless pot of tea. The addition of tea bread and panacotta to the usual selection of scones and cakes made it a little different and I left feeling comfortably full and on a bit of a sugar high.

Excellent location, room, food and service.

Stopped for a snack on a round the lake walk. Lovely service and very comfortable rest spot. We shared the lakeland tasting platter which was delicious.

Well the best staff ever ALL of them, From the time we walked in to paying the bill Lovely time spent in this hotel and the food and service on saturday night 13/02/10 was top class, sunday morning breakfast was just as good, Good clean room 123,. we will be back.
