Always friendly staff, asked for food at 20:20 but the kitchen was closed, know the food’s good but don’t know when they stop serving.

We got kicked out! We got kicked out of the pub just because our girl was crying after she felt off.
The worst place ever! If you are looking for a family and friendly place this one is NOT… my little girl of 16 months old felt off and started to cry one of the employees KICKED US OUT! She never ask how was the little one, that was not important for her, she just want to see us out because the other people were eating! It supposed to be a family friendly place, other kids were there and the other people said they understand because they have kids, but definitely doesn’t matter for the employees of the place! AVOID THIS PLACE unless you want to have negative and horrible experience.

Just ate here with Mum this lunchtime. We were welcomed by smiley friendly staff and served straight away.
I ordered a prawn sandwich with chips, and Mum the gammon, egg & chips. Both meals came out within 10 minutes and were really tasty and the portions generous. Will definitely eat here again!

Had my first pint of Guinness after a long time away from Stony Stratford, in this hotel. So full of history, obliquely opposite from the Cock and Bull hotels on Stony high street . Yes, that is where the expression. A cock and bull story, came from. Image yourself immersed in the "past" enjoying a pint of ale in this establishment. Indeed a great experience. And the regular patrons are friendly.

Lovely old pub, wonderful old town, always enjoy staying here and have many fun memories! it was a tea room years ago, had a gorgeous aroma! good ale's, good food, stay for breakfast. Got a new cover for outside which will take a while to blend in!

We meet hear almost every time we go out in stony Stratford, very quaint pub with old beams. Serves great food also.

Fantastic oldy worldy pub oozing with character and attracts fabulous characters. They have a different band playing every Friday and Saturday night. Food is good too.

Live music so loud it made our beds vibrate! No warning what so ever that there would be live music! Would never stay here again! What a waste of money — certainly not going to be sleeping!

Busy pub with live music and a late licence. Not conducive to a good night's sleep. Kept awake until after 1 in the morning and then women at 6am by cleaners. Strongly recommend that you do not stay here.

It's a nice place to eat and drink but it's not the cheapest in town, apart from that everyone is very friendly and it's maintained its originality over the years so if you're looking for something different I recommend it.

It is what it is; basic rooms above a busy pub, nice (for a few nights) but better suited to tourists than business travellers.

This is my favourite watering hole in Stony Stratford. Friendly staff friendly regulars and make you feel welcome. A must go place for great entertainment also.

Live music regularly. Quiz night Evey week. Good drinks and friendly staff. Great for a cheap but tasty cooked lunch or dinner. It's a perfect local pub with Lots of history, character and charm.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. I had stayed before and liked it. This time we had some problems which we relayed to the member of staff on duty. She wasn't a manager but said she would pass our comments on. We asked if someone could contact us. In essence we had a very uncomfortable bed directly above where the band played. We love live music but we were not warned that we would be in this room and we believe that the hotel have a duty to let you know if you are in a noisy room. The bed was many years past its best and we kept rolling in to the middle. Basically we got far too little sleep. I wouldn't have given this review if the hotel had contacted me to discuss it. The fact that they didnt seems to show a don't care attitude.

Only went in for a drink but beer was good, atmosphere was relaxed and service was fine.

Nice place. Nice breakfast. Don't park in the rear car park unless you're the one blocking someone in. As I write this I'm sitting here waiting for the bloke who has blocked me in to get up out of bed because they don't know who it is and won't wake anybody up. Maybe an idea to take guests registration numbers? Definitely park on the street. I'm now half an hour late for work…

Great atmosphere, fun staff, downside is the drinks are a little pricy, but so is most of Stony.

Stayed while we were at Silverstone for the week-end what a great pub, so busy live music. Food was great, pity our room was other side to to live music, But in saying that I could sing along to the group while in Bed. Good group xx
Shower needs sorting as goes from freezing cold to scalding, that was the only problem.

Bad service. We waited twenty minutes for two coffees to turn up. Then we found that we had been forgotten. One coffee appeared and we were told tthat they had run out and had to make some more. Another fifteen minutes passed before the waitress acknowledged our presence and apologised for forgetting us for the second time. If they can cock up so badly on coffee, I dread to think what would happen with lunch or dinner.

Had a lovely meal at the Old George! A nice, friendly place to stay :).

Have had many pleasant meals and drinks in The Old George's clean, tidy and friendly bar and restaurant. I've seen a number of the rooms, and they look comfortable and clean. Enjoy your stay.

Worked here for a week. Crap and badly run. Still waiting to be paid. Food microwaved rubbish. Avoid.
