Had a great Christmas eve night in the back room, only problem was because it was so busy it toon ages to get a drink. Pretty normal for a pub though.

Food was very nice, just had a light lunch, but got my new top caught on a damaged table, (made a hole in it) and when I told the waitress/bar staff, (she was the only person we saw) not interested? Never apologized? or offered a free coffee. I said should put some selotape on the table someone doesn't hurt themselves on it.

Pub in a nice setting but a fairly small place and really hot inside! Food and drink selection is ok given the small bar but food was fairly average I found

Worst place Ive ever stayed in. Noisy Scruffy rooms. No breakfast as agreed. Pub was still shut at 10 am. Breakfast ordered for 8 am. Bar manager did her best Other staff in bar useless. Sid chef had walkedoput. No wonder.

The best carvery I've ever eaten. The staff were very helpful, the service good. The roast dinner was cooked to perfection, every part of it excellent. And it was under £10. Will definitely eat there again, great value.

Good location in Barton-le-Clay. Went a couple of weeks ago and before it was good but a couple of weeks ago it was awful. Sat down and ordered and we could hear a staff member in the kitchen tell another staff member to shut up. That is very unprofessional for staff! When food came out, my wife's food had hair in it, I ordered a Ploughman's which didn't even come with cheese which is one of the main ingredients and my son's was going to be bolognese with long thin pasta but instead he got Penne pasta. Didn't even get a refund or discount or any money off. Not coming here again! Ridiculous!

Stayed over night. Bed was lovely. Unfortunately bathroom was not en-suite but was perfectly clean. No complaints about my stay apart from lack of en-suite

Pretty lit. Terrific chair legs. Some pubs really don't understand what makes a good chair, rigidity, evenness, irregularities — and lack there of, but let me tell you; the Bull is not one of those pubs.

Looked lovely on the site — the service was ridiculously slow — had to send the main course back as the potatoes were cold in the middle like they had come out the fridge — it then took half an hour for the meal to be warmed up and even then it was still only luke warm — the meal did look nice tho but im more interested in the taste than the pretties — and by that time as the others had finished eating I had lost interest! In their defence they did take the price off the bill but that didnt detract from the annoyance. We also had a lovely view from the table of dirty mops and cleaning materials … in a restaurant? not good Bull not good!

Pasing through on a Sunday afternoon, ordered two coffees, couldn't have coffee machine was broken so ordered tea which took forever, was offered milk we said yes and paid for it, then was told milk was coming after 5 mins we were told there was no milk so we had cold tea with no milk, good thing we didn't order food.

Got there and the staff had 'forgotten' to move the guy staying in the double room to the single room earlier in the day, so at about 22:15 there we are at a hotel we've booked, unable to stay in the room we've booked, due to an error. Staff did a great job in finding a room very quickly at a pub up the road: Live and Let Live, so there we stayed on a Thursday night. Staff were very apologetic and a call from the manager was said to be expected the following day. On Friday we had no choice but to go back to the Bull as Live and Let Live were fully booked. It got to 4pm (we were at a wedding — all belongings packed in the car) still no word from the pub. Anyway, called them and spoke to the manager who had no clue what had happened the previous night, but as soon as she had the facts was straight back on the phone and turned the whole situation around. Good stay on them the next night, and discounted food in the restaurant (which was more than enough compensation). Food was nice, maybe a little overcooked with my pasta dish, Tagliatelle was a bit crispy in places. Boyfriend happy with his delicious looking scampi though. Room was nice, double bed, good shower, all that is needed. Could have just done with a hoover. The only thing that went wrong in the morning was the lack of breakfast — we saw the chef and he asked if we had booked it. Our reply was 'no one told us we had too' and alas that was our last disappointment.

After a change of look from the pub, I here great things about it! I haven't been there recently but many have and have told me about the fine bar and seating and inn upstairs! I hope we go again soon.
