This was an excellent hotel, we went there for a family celebration and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to organise, we were given a private lounge for our 2 day stay which we could use whenever we needed it. The breakfast is excellent with a large choice of food on offer, from fresh fruit and berries to cereals or full English breakfast if you wanted that. My only warning would be this is a very old building do the doorways are quite low and some of the floors are a bit uneven. This hotel is very well placed in the middle of the Cotswolds so would make a good base for sight seeing the surrounding areas

Amazing rooms. Great service. And very tasty food

Well worth staying in this great hotel.

A large, very well appointed, room. Even a nice page in the guest guidebook giving some of the history of the place. No reliable reception for Vodafone but, as there is excellent Wifi, web based alternatives like Skype and Facetime work nicely. Friendly receptionist and when we came across other staff, they were too. Is this a family business? It certainly seemed that good. Dining room is comfy. Shows some of those historic features I mentioned earlier. Breakfast has lots of choice — home made muesli or other cereal, full English breakfast, various eggs and nice coffee tea fruit juice etc. Some other nice pubs and restaurants nearby. Sometimes the main road is busy one way but it is easy enough to get across. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful building in a charming cottage high street. Room clean and full of character even if the floors are a bit off tilt. Staff are fantastic and really friendly and the food is amazing.

Excellent location on a beautiful street. The rooms are old fashioned, but they are clean and tidy and have everything you need. The food is decent and the portions sizes are large. A few more options and maybe a specials menu would improve the dinner. The breakfast was very nice, a lovely spread with many different options.

Fully featured rooms with Sky TV, tea and coffee facilities, biscuit's and bottles water. Great character. Great service. Great food and drink.

A lovely hotel with a great atmosphere. Very old with wonderful creaking floors and old beams. The room was comfortable with power points near the mirror, plenty of storage and well equipped. The food was delicious and breakfast was a treat, so much to choose from. But the best thing about staying here was the cheerful and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I hope I get the opportunity to visit again. Burford is a lovely place with individual shops and is central for touring.

The restaurant and service has been outstanding consistently without lapses for all the times I've been there. A must-try!

Nice staff, beautiful decoration, comfortable atmosphere, excellent food (freshly made juice and homemade honey in mornings), great position and lovable price! All of these make it reeeeeally hard to even try to find a thing to complain about this lovely place! Pity that I met it just before I were to leave Britain.
