Review of Eastside Lodge 2*

This hotel is so beyond rude and disrespect that I don't even know what to say. We had food leftover from our breakfast that we didn't get utensils for. I called the front desk asking if they had anything that we could use, and the person at the desk was EXTREMELY rude. He told me that there was a convenience store at the corner that we could use, but didn't know if they had anything. I asked "you don't have any utensils that we can use? ", where he proceeded to tell me, "I may have something here that you can use that I bring in myself. " I told him "ok"… then the awkward silence presumed, where I waited for him to tell me if they had anything. But he didn't… he just sat on the phone… where I just proceeded to tell him I'd be fine and manage. After using one of their plastic cups to try and make a makeshift "spoon" and spilling it all over (see picture), I called front desk to try and get SOMETHING I could use. When they answered the phone, they said "Yes, again". I couldn't believe it! I told him that I was up here trying to use one of their plastic cups for a spoon, and wanted to know if they had anything. While I was trying to talk to him, he asked me to put me on hold… WHILE trying to tell him that I'm eating my soup with one of their plastic cups! I proceeded to tell him that this was not ok to treat someone like this, and that it would be going online. I CANNOT believe how rude this hotel was, and I would recommend that you find somewhere else that cares that you're staying. If we hadn't already prepaid for our room, we would go and stay somewhere else. And you would think after being so rude they'd come up and say something… we didn't even get a phone call. We stay up here about 3 times a year for about a week at a time, and found others that have treated their pets with more respect than we have been treated here. Will never stay here again.
