The bed was FILTHY when I checked in. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

Terrific room for the price.

We have stayed at this location several times now and we always enjoy it. The night manager is very kind and helpful and the rooms are always in good condition. The place does need a face lift though.

Staff was very nice. Room not as clean as I'd like. The bathroom is run down with a strange fabric shower curtain that's not completely waterproof so the floor gets wet. The toilet is tall and the shower head is really low. I'm 5'6 and I had to bend down to rinse my hair. Love that there is a fridge and microwave in room. It was nice that there was a little closet area but there was only one old wire hanger available. Overall I guess it wasn't bad for the price, but I don't think I would choose to stay here again if I visit the area.

Comfortable and clean mid-priced motel, exactly what you would expect. I always stay Red Roof when traveling with my dogs. I’ve stayed here twice now and would return again. The only thing I don’t like is the area. I got a little nervous at night walking my dog last time I stayed because it’s not very well-lit and there was some partying going on at the neighboring motel. Give the pancake house next door a try!

Price was good but small beds and the floors were filthy furniture was broken, the shower head was meant for people 5 feet or smaller, there was a soap holder in the shower that was installed 5 feet up in the middle of the wall, I picked up my baby and hit my head in it. It really hurt, why would anyone put a soap holder there? Overall I will spend the extra money to stay in a better hotel. If your tight with cash then this place is good for you. Don’t stay on the first floor you can hear everything coming from the room above.

Cheap place for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog to just shower and sleep for 12 hours. Our delivery dinner of pizza, spaghetti and salad cost more than our room. The bathroom needs updating and repairs but the night check in guy, Chris (I think was his name) was pleasant.

Good location, good service, bath/shower could use some care but overall good rooms.

Very friendly front staff. Check in was quick. They have nice outdoor pool. Seems like owners have taken alot of time and care to make the motel nice.

I don't know if I would stay here again when I have my kids with me. Paint was peeling in our room. The metal door frame was rusted out in the bathroom. Hairs on the shower wall (not ours). Not very clean but, not super dirty.

Desk clerk very rude when I arrived at the Red Roof Inn. I was paying cash but he insisted I have a credit card with a $200 limit on it for jncidentals which I didn't have. The hotel was not full. I've stayed in Red Roof Inns in neighboring cities with no problem. Horrible service. Will definitely not return. The property down the street took care of me and even offered me a discount which was unsolicited. The Red Roof Inn in Williamsburg has horrible service! Don't waste your money there!

Clean rooms. Comfy beds. Stiff pillows. Very close to Busch Gardens. No late check outs. Coke machine will drop 1-10 sodas for $1.

The Red Roof Inn was a decent hotel for an affordable price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the air didn't get very cool and the drain in the tub didn't drain without being propped open. I did not notify the office staff until we left so I am unsure how they would have handled the situation if I would have brought it to their attention. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay.

Very clean, newer decor. Had a fridge and microwave plus room service was excellent.

I stand pretty firmly by my reviews. The employee was about as friendly as a paper cut to the eye. Not only quick to talk over me and letting me know there was no smoking (I do not smoke in doors) be decided it was also welcoming and appropriate to tell me he saw me put out a cigarette and he didn’t want to have to tell me again not to smoke anywhere, my car, the parking lot, or anywhere on the grounds again. I had my ID out and was trying to check it. So welcoming that I would gladly prefer bodily injury to going to this hotel. I did not check in. I would not with such and overly warm greeting.

Man at front desk very nice room was spacious and very clean.

Clean and inexpensive. Wi-Fi was great — no issues during Nor'easter storm 2018. Staff friendly and helpful.

Not to be one of THOSE reviewers, but my sister was literally stranded in a blizzard in Williamsburg this January, and they wouldn’t let her get a room. They had rooms, and she had money (cash, and a debit card) but they weren’t willing for her to combine the two payment methods to get the room. I tried to pay for the room myself, over the phone with a credit card, but they wouldn’t let us do that either. When my husband asked if there was any way we could work this out and requested to discuss it with the manager (who was there but not willing to get on the phone with us) the lady got frustrated and said, “I don’t want to give her the room. ” I don’t actually blame her — I think she was limited by what the manager would let her do — but c’mon, people, there’s a 20-year-old girl stuck in a blizzard, parked in your parking lot. You can be a little flexible. The Travelodge, also on Capitol Landing Rd, was willing to work with us and gave her a room, so they earned some loyalty from us. Red Roof did not.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. The receptionist was very attentive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, average in size. There is a swimming pool. Almost nothing works in the evening nearby.

Love this place. The staff is fantastic and it is out of the way enough that it is very quiet.

It is an old hotel but not bad. Needs some fixing up. The guy that checked us in was very very friendly and helpful. I would stay again if in the area.

My daughter and I were very satisfied with our two-night stay. We will stay here again.

Lukewarm showers, cockroaches, cigarette burns in the sheets and upside down light switches. It was cheap though, but you get what you pay for here. Stay away from the local hardees though. Made my son cry.

ROACHES! We just went with our family and went to go to sleep when we saw roaches on the wall! Absolutely disgusting! I went down to the desk for the guy to act so surprised however their are reviews stating the same thing, how ridiculous! We moved to another room in the middle of the night with two little ones then couldn't find the Manger the next day, how convenient. Not just the roaches, but my clean towel had hair on it, there was a females hair tie on the night stand (maids didn't see this), a pillow wedged between the wall and bed and then last but not least the bug catcher in the floor with a big piece stale bread! The place is also very noisy because there is no carpet. I don't normally do reviews but was so upset with this experience I feel I need to warn people. They clearly don't care there, sad!

Comfortable rooms, options for pets and 100% smoke-free. Outdoor pool available until 10pm. Wi-Fi is fast and free, but the signal may not reach into the room and sometimes is only accessed in the hallways or the main office.

This was the worst red roof we have ever stayed at. The first night we had to request a new room because there were roaches crawling around the doorway. When we complained to the front desk the guy didn't seem like it was a big deal. Dirty. The rooms could use better cleanings and an exterminator for sure.

Price was resonsble for the area. Room was tidy. Beds we're fairly comfortable although the pillows were lacking. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

It was actually pretty nice. I noticed some few bugs outside but the inside was relatively bug free; I looked everywhere. The outdoor pool with lights that change color was a nice addition.

Good budget hotel! The beds were nice and there's a Keurig like machine in the rooms for coffee and tea. The bathroom is fine, would have liked better toiletries. The pool is small but very popular with guests. Location is amazing! Walking distance to Pancake House and McDonald's (which is good since breakfast is not served). Very close to Colonial Williamsburg.

Had a very pleasant experience here. The room was so low priced I really didn't know what to expect. It was easy to find, the staff very friendly and the rooms very clean. It is a pet friendly motel and they do not charge extra for them. Would I stay there again? Certainly would.

Nasty reception guy, my sister and I told them the room phone wouldnt work. We couldn't get reception here. The Wi-Fi dropped every 2 mins. We had to call the Wi-Fi hotline after failing to connect we connected the older reception man he caught an attitude: he said we didn't connect the right way! Please reader pleaaase dont sleep here it smells like smoke and it's dangerous. Never give these assholes your money.

Very clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay here agin very convenient to water parks and restaurants. Great experience.

I would not recommend this hotel. My family stayed here as a last resort. The bathrooms are tiny and I'm only 5foot 5in in height and had to duck to take a shower. The swimming pool was dirty and not well maintained. Lastly, the website says in their amenities they have a continental breakfast, they do not.

The checkin process was very helpful due to the employee at the time. He helped us with parking next to our room and assured us of no smoking in the grounds. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of outlets. The floor was hardwood which can be a bit jarring if you like to walk barefoot everywhere.

Nice experience, clean rooms had enough towels ans pillows. The only problem was when I opened up the washer machine insaw a roach.

The summary could just be, you get what you pay for. Cheap hotel means cheap rooms. Nothing spectacular at all, but serves it's purpose for the reason I'm staying.

Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms were clean with plenty of space but they had obviously had abusive, uncaring guests who had abused the rooms in the past.

It was great we have stayed a couple of times, everyone is nice, room's are clean beds are soft we will return again.

It was waste of my time and money. I booked this hotel from Priceline because they says it was pet friendly. But when I got there, they told me I can't leave my pet in room if I go outside. What kind of pet friendly is that!? This is ridiculous! I called Priceline to cancel this reservation and they told me I can't even get refund back if you have pet with you, think twice before you make the reservation.

We did not even stay here. We drove from California to Virginia and called this hotel to stay. The guy I talked to on the phone was friendly and I told him we will be at the hotel late we have two adults, two kids, and two small 10 lb dogs. He said there are plenty of rooms so no need to make a reservation. Once we showed up at 2 in the morning they refuse us a room because they only allow 1 dog. I spoke to the manager and I told him I called and our situation. This was there mistake but he would not even help us out at all. I was so upset and we were all tired. I am so thankful we were able to drive to a DIFFERENT hotel and got a room that night.

My husband and I stayed here for the first night of our vacation. The online images looked nice and coupled with the price (and free Wi-Fi), we booked it for three nights. However, once we got there, checked in, and got to our room, we were very disappointed. Although the room was decorated like the online images portrayed, we did not think the room was as nice as it looked online. The bathroom vanity was not at all like it was portrayed online. The online images show a very beautiful granite or other decorative stone vanity top with a stylish rectangular sink. The one in the actual room was far from it; it was your typical motel vanity sink. A lot of wear-and-tear was evident around the room, especially around the door frames and such. The paint job was somewhat sloppy around the edges. We only got one towel per guest, and the beds were not comfortable at all. Perhaps I'm being too picky. I wasn't expecting anything super luxurious by any means, but I feel like the online images are not very truthful (my main complaint is the bathroom vanity). Needless to say, we cut our stay short, staying only one night out of three. We ended up switching to a different hotel. However, I will say that the staff were very nice and helpful. The gentleman at the desk when we checked in was very helpful in giving us directions around town and recommended several restaurants to try out. And the lady that handled our checkout was nice and accommodating.
