AC working subpar. I was told I was lucky to have that. I was cooler outside once the sun went down. Had 4 fans in office wouldn't offer one to me for my room. Only on ice machine was working! Never again will patronize the hotel again! And I'm seeking reimbursement! .

Check in was easy. The front staff was amazing. Beds we're very comfortable very clean room. I left one hotel to come to this one and very glad I did. I called and they held a room for me. Also loved that pets could stay for free. I will definitely be back to this one.

The employees get a 10 score. All very professional and great service. I forgot something in my room that was valuable and they put it up for me. I was pleased with how honest they were. The hotel would get a 5 from me if the rooms were kept up better. The rooms were clean it was condition. The showers were messed up in both rooms. I had change rooms 1st shower was broke. The second room the shower door wouldn't close and shelf was missing from shower. The floor tiles were messed up too. It was ashame since I was hear 1 years back and it was brand new.

I was here for Memorial Day and one of the 3 days they made the beds but after that our room was never touched again. No clean towels, no fresh cups, trash still in room, beds unmade. I have never seen anything like before. One of the front desk clerks was rude. I will NEVER stay in this facility again. I will earn all of my friends and family from afar to not book this place. The AC didn't work. The room was hot. Awful… just awful! Being very sarcastic, I had the opportunity to me Erica and she had a very poor attitude. She should NOT be at a front desk!

Smelled like a 1960s Bowling Alley when we walked in. Beds were comfortable. Sheet count was equal to the $61 it cost to sleep there that night. Bathroom was recently remodeled and nice.

Booked last minute at 9pm with a dog it was their last room but they had one so I booked it. The area not so great but they have security on premise in case needed and the room could use a little TLC it was an express hotel so bare minimum in the room but it was clean so that was good. Beds were comfortable and shower pressure was great.

The entire night all I heard were people arguing and parties, the police got called multiple times and did not really do anything. The comforter on the bed had cigarette burns in it and the bathroom had a strong smell of urine. Of course the room was cheap and this is truly a case of you get what you pay for.

At check in the staff was rude and unprofessional. I get to my room on the second floor and it is boiling in there. I try to turn the heat off and air conditioning on only for it to continue blowing hot air. I open the door to cool it down and call the desk only to be told that it’s an old system and they switch it from air conditioning to heat so I just have to turn it off and it will cool down. I explain I’ve had the door open since I got in and it has not cooled down more than a couple degrees. Was told to give it five more minutes and call back and they could switch me to a different room that may be cooler but it’s not guaranteed. Will never stay here again, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful at check in and on the phone. It was 60 degrees outside and about 90 in the room. The amenities state the rooms have air conditioning which is only true when they deem it necessary. Worst experience at a hotel I have ever had.

You have bad service hosekipin not clean, combining all the days and will leave you tualla dirty is not the of them kept nor cleaned the avitaciones that this a very bad jueve February 22, not cleaned or left the towel I did not like that.

Price is good for what you get. Staff is extremely friendly. Will stay here again if I'm in the area. Only thing I would suggest is a fridge and microwave.

This was the best Motel 6 we have ever stayed. It started out good with the greeting at the front desk. She was very welcoming. The room was clean and smelled fresh. All this at a very modest price!

The staff are amazing people. They welcomed my daughter and I with open arms. We were very pleased with the hotel. The prices were very affordable too.

My wife made a last minute reservation (around 8pm) and we arrived at the location about an hour later. My wife, an active duty service member, only had a military ID. The sign on the hotels said that military IDs are accepted forms (see pic below). The lady at the desk said she was not allowed to use military IDs and that she got in trouble for taking them. She agreed to take my ID but would have to forfeit my wife's military discount. We elected not to stay; we were unsure if it was Motel 6 or this location that discriminated against service members, but we didn't want to support a business that does so. The lady at the desk refused a refund — we could not stay nor could we have our money back. We called corporate and the customer service person assured us that we could stay with a military ID but could not refund us due to it being after 6pm. She did understand the problem, though, and transferred us to a supervisor. The supervisor spoke to us and spoke to the location but could not do a refund; we had to return to the location to do so. Once we got back the lady at the desk apologized and showed us the screen that only accepts passports and state IDs.

I originally booked the room for two persons, price being around $58 which I guess I haven't stayed in a Motel 6 lately seems very high, the second person canceled, when I arrived informed the attendant of this an asked for another room at a lower rate, she informs me there are no other rooms and I would have to pay the higher rate even though only one person would be staying in the room, I have been given before the lower rate and had two beds in it so I know she could have discounted the room. Given it was late at night when I checked in and the parking lot was void of cars I found this unlikely. I felt I should have been given a lower rate. Very disappointed in this as I usually have a good experience at Motel 6 that's why I choose it. I will say that the rooms were pretty clean, however on the bedspread there was what looked like oil stains on it, but the sheets appeared to be clean and washed. I wasn't there very long because of a early flight. I do feel the room was over priced maybe due to the holidays and there was a police officer stationed in the lobby, felt secure but afraid to go out after I was inside my room. However showers and bathroom seemed clean and well stocked with towels.

I prepaid for a smoke free room and the room smelled of cigarettes and made my son and I have a hard to breathing (allergy). The comforter on bed even had a burn hole in it. The front office had a bunch of people hanging out and being loud and cursing and talking with employee at counter. The lady o dealt with in morning was very rude and continued to have her loud conversation with the other people in office. There was dirt caked up in corners and floor. The shower door was broken so there was a makeshift shower curtain which was filthy and half hung which allowed water all over floor. The bar soap provided was broken up and smelled like it had been there for years. The power went out while taking a shower. The sink water only goes cold. One of the worst motels I have ever stayed at and I had no choice of a different motel because of weather and I had my 1 year old son.

This location provided a solid experience and good value. Of particular notice was the bed was quite comfortable. Everything worked properly. Staff was very nice and accommodating. It was a good choice. Booked via MapQuest.

I thought the people working at Motel 6 Richmond Airport were very nice and friendly and helpful. I liked the simple yet clean room. The price was great!

Excellent in all respects. We stay here several times each year and are always delighted. Office staff is top notch, HVAC and all utilities exceed expectations, and the price is unbeatable!

If you like hookers, dope dealers and crack this is your Disneyland. My girlfriend and I had to wear our sandals in the shower because that's how DISGUSTING it is. I booked a week stay and within 3 hours I requested my refund. Within the first hour of being here I was asked for money and a charger. I HIGHLY do not recommend this subpar hotel. I'd rather spend a week in jail than here. With that being said my firearm is within arms reach. The shower is god awful.

Great value for a cheap one or two night stay. Exactly what we were looking for. Rooms were plain and dated but were clean which is more important. Staff was nice and friendly. The area seems a bit shady but at no time did we feel unsafe and did not worry about our vehicle there either. Yes the airport is right across the street and our room was facing it in the top floor corner but its not overly loud as people are saying. Would stay here again for a quick cheap place to stay.

The room was okay. The shower was the best part honestly. There wasn't a microwave or a mini fridge but what do you expect when it's $38/$39 ($45 with tax) a night. I would've of given 4 stars but the fact that the vent by the bathroom popped open because of an unsecured bolt, 2 stars were better.

Stayed here after a Richmond race. First room they gave us hadn't been cleaned but the staff was polite and fixed it immediately. Okay room for the price. I liked the police officer stationed in the parking lot. Made me feel safer.

Please do not stay here unless major improvements take place to get this hotel to a minimum level of acceptable condition. I have never stayed in a more filthy room, not to mention the cracked vinyl flooring and stained mattress and mold-infused shower. There is absolutely no exaggeration here. There were no non-smoking rooms. I immediately checked out after seeing the room and never looked back.

The location is perfect if you're flying in to Richmond Airport. Literally down the street from the airport. The outside isn't very impressive. But the rooms do look nice. The only problem I had was the "non smoking" room I was given had obvious signs of smoking in the room. There were burn holes in the bed sheets and a plastic bag wrapped around the smoke detector. The non smoking sticker on the door was also peeling off and looked as though it had been peeled off and replaced more than once. Luckily the room didn't smell like smoke so it didn't bother me that much. I did like that it was pet friendly as I, as well as other customers, brought our dogs out and everyone was really friendly. There were some questionable characters hanging about around the hotel but since I only spent my time in my room to sleep I could care less who was around. I didn't have a problem with security, except that my key card was deactivated because I had put it in my cell phone case. The staff fixed it right away and explained the cards are sensitive and are easily screwed up if you have it too close to your cell phone. They were very friendly and courteous, and answered every question I had. Other than that I had a pretty decent stay. If you just need a place to sleep while you're in the area and aren't picky about the details, I would recommend it and I'd have no problem staying here again. The price was unbeatable which is what led me to my stay here to begin with.

I am not quite sure why they are saying modern remodeled rooms? The only thing remodeled is the one wall behind the bed that's been painted and we got the new bedspread! Everything else is the same old crap, and I do mean crap, broken furniture and all right down to the bad attitude of the front desk and maid crew! We spend a HUGE amount of money with Motel 6 and this is on our worst list! The employees that work and live here are given the room amenities with the micro-fridge and microwave, the guest that stay here don't warrant those things apparently. The management needs to remember where the paycheck they get each week comes from and treat the quest like valued customers as your not the only motel in town! SMH.

Not Happy, crime scene in parking lot in the morning. Room/Hotel needs a redo… right away Strange and insulting phone call… from office (Mans voice) This was the first Motel 6 that I had a negative review and did not feel safe. I put a chair against the door along with all locks. Motel 6 you need to check this Motel out right away…

It was awful. They cut the water off, and it was off all day into the night. The room smelt like mildew. Drug deals and prostitution day and night. I didn't stay the full night, I was afraid of being robbed or killed. The staff was very friendly but very unprofessional. I was in the office to register and the office worker was outside smoking a cigarette. I do not recommend this place to anyone that values there safety. In the end, you get what you pay for. .

Our room was clean, but small and very out of date. The floor had seen better days and the TV was from 1995. The power button on the TV didn't work and the volume was hard to change. The shower was backwords; hot meant cold and cold meant hot. Once I got it to work, the hot water was nice, but didnt have any pressure. The staff was nice. I do believe the people down the hall lived there. For about $50 it was fine. It was the middle of may so the pool wasn't open. The parking lot was always full. I would stay there again.

There are a few things that come to mind when I pay $50 for a hotel room. Is it clean? Bed bugs? Working girls? Drugs? Crowded? Etc. This motel 6 was very well priced and you get what you pay for. $50 per night got me a room, two beds (decently well cleaned), and a shower. There was nothing fancy and nothing over the top. You get the bare minimum and it works; it works well. This hotel was sold out every night we stayed (it is right next to the air port). There were some general concerns that come with a $50 room but most of those were quickly put to rest. It was quiet, decently clean, but outdated. The negatives: our door handle was broken on the door, the hot water would come and go, the TV was old and small and the volume buttons didn't work, two beds but only one set of towels, and soap but no shampoo. Overall, it is a cheap place to stay. It works for what you need and the staff did their job. I would stay again based on price but I would consider other hotels first.

Never going here again. Rooms are unsafe for children! My 5 year old daughter was walking out of the room and her toe got stuck under the door! We had to spend the night in the hospital doing x-rays and having her get stiches! Hotel staff did nothing! And I was staying there regularly! Not to mention the insane drug traffic and prostitution!

After switching from the Microtel Inn& Suites By Wyndham because of Hygiene issues our travel agent could only find the Motel 6 for us due to the Race which my sister and I were working all weekend as NASCAR Models. The staff was nice to allow us to check the room out to ensure it was clean before we stayed, they only thing I will say was there was so much activity at this place I slept okay but I saw people who were looking for drugs a lot, and they may even have some prostitution going on also we will not be staying here ever again too much moving around!

The worst hotel ever. I will never waste another dime in a Motel 6 ever again. Blair at the front desk is rude and very inadequate as a functional desk clerk. I am a front desk agent and I know how difficult the position can sometimes be. But when you are rude to people without a cause you should not be the head of the business to meet the people. She turned my three not stay into that one night because I had to get out of there. She was rude and that for me is just not acceptable on any level when I'm spending my hard earned money, I will gladly give them to a hotel brand more deserving of my dollars.

Absolutely love the staff! They are always so friendly and personable. Clean rooms and quick responses to any complaints or concerns.

Stayed here for two nights, not money worth. First night we got there, the door wouldn't open, we had to bang the door open. Then the A/C wouldn't stop making noises all night long so couldn't sleep. The TV is small and busted (and old). There nothing but creeps around here. The only thing I like is that they allowed my cat but other than that, hated it. Even the people at the front desk was rude. Don't wast your time here.

I am a contractor with Richmond International Airport. I have stayed several times before and over the years the service and the building has become more and more run down. I absolutely adore on site manager Tony Turner! He went out of his way to make the stay as best for me as he could. Other mangers on site however had attitudes or were just plain rude, when they were informed about maintenance issues like the mold in the showers or the roaches that were crawling out of the vent in the room I stayed in. Housekeeping does not change linens, the make the bed but will not change sheets. Often do not mop or clean the shower. I stepped into one shower and there was clumps of hair in the drain and on the door. Left over food crumbs in the rooms under the beds. Safety should not be an issue since the police department is less than 2 miles down the road, however there are a lot of aimless wanderers that stay around the hotel ad at night there are at least one police car parked in the parking lot through the night. Which depending on the person I guess can make you feel uneasy that type of monitoring is needed and or required. The front desk associates do not respond when they say they will, it literally takes speaking with a manager to get anything done as simple as asking for towels. I work in the area and would love to continue to stay when I am in town but some of the staff and facilities have made it very difficult to do so. Recently I attempted a second stay.

Vagrants were hanging around outside. Filthy disgusting room. Broken floor. Sticky surfaces. Dirty sheets. Moldy bathroom. Toilet inoperable, overflowed on first flush. Complaints were met with flippant attitude. No offer to soak up the water, no offer to change the bedding and no offer to switch rooms. Staff brought 4 towels, dust mop and plunger for the half inch of water on the floor. Called the next day and demanded refund from manager. Do not recommend. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I will not go into detail because I don't believe in TRASHING people. At the same time, as a regular customer, I DON'T LIKE BEING TRASHED. I will give you another opportunity. You guys need to SCREEN your clients & workers more carefully. They need to be more considerate, otherwise, you will LOSE a LOT of GOOD business.

I would like to personally thank the employees at the Motel 6 for their kind hospitality and for helping me in my time of need. I am in the military and had just received orders to come back home, I had spent the night at the Motel 6 and had forgotten to set my alarm to wake up in time for my fight. I had woken up only 20 minutes before my planes departure and did not think I was going to make it. I had ran to the front desk freaking out and asking for a taxi cab's number, knowing that the cab driver would not make it in time to me before my flight had taken off the Manager had offered to take me to the airport her self. Upon arrival at the airport I had offered the manager money for driving me there but she had declined my offer even after I had brought up the factor of gas. If it wasnt for her I would not of made my flight, Thank you for taking care of me and making sure I arrived home on time to see my family.

I'd arrived in Richmond due to a LATE arrival due to delay in cross-country flight delay, and found the desk clerk wide awake, cheerful, and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the shower spotless, though older. I always had clean towels when I asked, and the housekeeping staff members were both cheerful and helpful. Breakfast consisted only of coffee, though I was in a great location to dine at a number of restaurants nearby. I have to admit that I was surprised, as a former resident of Richmond, and had some concerns as to the location (Very close to the airport) My concerns were unfounded, though, since the area has changed, and security was wonderful. I WILL be staying at that motel on my next visits, and do recommend them to any interested.

While Motel 6 was fine with my dog (the whole reason I booked it) there was nothing good or remotely great about the place. My fiance, myself, and a friend stayed there for four nights in June of 2014. What was wrong: The shower is completely BROKEN. If you like scalding hot or freezing showers you would be in luck, but for any normal temperature there was NO water pressure, the only partial solution was to quickly flip back and forth between hot and cold every minute. I asked three times for maintenance to come and fix the shower, and nothing was done. The AC broke on the second night (no wonder why when every time housekeeping came in they jacked the AC down to lower than 60 degrees) There wasn't any shampoos or soap bars in the bathrooms, and when I asked the front desk they grudgingly gave us one small shampoo and two soap bars, for THREE people. There are no mini fridges (which would have been fine if everything else wasn't so crappy) The TV had a horizontal fuzzy line about two inches wide, right across the middle of the screen, and only five channels. No continental breakfast (this was not stated anywhere) What was ok: the beds and pillow were ok, not the softest but still decent The room didn't smell bad The sheets seemed clean I would not recommend this place to anyone.

For the price I was satisfied. Room was clean and my room was serviced one of the two days I was there — I don't want my towels replaced everyday. I am only 5'5 so the low shower head was not an issue for me but can understand others complaining about it. The front desk staff was pleasant to deal with and both check-in and check-out was easy. I walked my dogs at night as was never afraid to be out of my room. My only real complaint is that the gasket around the shower glass had come out of one side and I was afraid that the entire glass was going to fall to the floor. That should have been fixed before the room was rented out. I would recommend this place if you are looking for cheap and clean. It is not a high end hotel and if high-end is what you are looking for you would do well to find another place to stay. For those of us who are looking for cheap and clean it filled the bill.
