So far so good. Meet one of the maids while waiting for the shuttle at the airport. Awesome young lady. She was very nice and recommended places to go. Has asked several times since we arrived around noon if there was anything she could do to make it stay better.

I needed a place to stay closer to the airport for an early flight cause I live further. It was an added bonus that there was a shuttle and parking at the hotel because my flight then got changed to an even EARLIER flight. Front desk attendant set me all up to be picked up by the shuttle and waking up at 3 am wasnt quite as miserable as I had though. The bed was so comfortable and everything was clean.

I typically do not write reviews as I believe things can happen and knowing people in the service industry, I empathize with the work they have to do. However the incident I experienced with a woman named Jennifer at the front desk was truly appalling. My grandfather who is 87 years old and walks with a cane had set up a reservation and requested a shuttle service to pick him up once he had landed at the RVA Bryd International airport. Since he had stayed at the establishment before he left on vacation, he had explained to the front staff that his overall ability to stand was not great and that he would appreciate knowing the schedule of the hotel shuttle service in order to minimize the time he had to stand outside. The original woman at the front desk and Jennifer last night confirmed that the Holiday Inn Express Richmond Airport would come every ten minutes and that it would be identifiable by their logo. After waiting for 50 minutes my grandfather called back and asked if they could provide a more accurate time as it was now almost 1am and he was having to stand on his bad leg for more than 50 minutes. Jessica aggressively replied that the shuttle would be there in 10 minutes and hung up on my grandfather. After another 30 minutes he called back and she said that she would call the driver to find out where he was.

Not the best looking, I typically expect a much higher class looking hotel when I stay at a Holiday inn Express. I had accidentally gone to the Holiday Inn, beside the express and that was a much nicer hotel, appearance wise. This was work related so I did not have a choice. I will say the room appeared clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Richmond Va Airport. It was the worse experience of my life. The housekeepers walked in the room twice without announcing themselves. The management is rude and liars. My bank account was overcharged and when I called the front desk to enquirer about the overcharged. I was hung up on and had the police called on me for being a rude over hostile tall black man. Then when I filled a complaint with corp and Expedia about their behavior. The hotel stated that I wasn't kicked out for being rude very hostile tall or black but because I was smoking weed in the room and they have proof of Mr Johnson smoking weed in the room. I m a professional CDL A driver that have never failed a drug test. So just that reason I've decided to hire an attorney to clear my name and to see this proof of me smoking weed in the room. Oh and by the way they still haven't refund me my money for the overcharged. Never will I ever stay at this holiday inn express or any other holiday inn hotel or motels.

We made reservation online, using points and wasn't sure what type of room we would get because some Holiday Inns give customers only double beds if using points. To my surprise, the rep at this Holiday Inn not only upgraded our room, she had written a little note on our room key holder, thanking us for being Spire Members & thanked us in person for choosing Holiday Inn. Now that's what I call great customer service! I think her name was Jennifer… HOLIDAY INN NEEDS MORE JENNIFERS! I'm only giving four stars because the hotel desperately needs some upgrades!

No complaints. Some interactions with the staff felt a little snappy but not anything overtly rude. The room was not exceptionally clean but not anything to complain about. The bed is wonderful. The pool was acceptable for a hotel pool. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good.

Nice hotel but noisy partiers roaming the hallways all night and the 4AM airport shuttle was 15 minutes late. No one at the front desk to find out what was going on with the shuttle. Poor time to schedule a break!

Friendly staff and very convenient. Good breakfast. A little dated keeps from 5 stars.

Extremely clean room and facility. It looked and felt brand new. It is in the flight path for the long runway at RIC so Jets do occasionally pass on the southwest corner.

Nice rooms. Decent looking building. The breakfast is not the greatest simply because there aren't any vegetables, but it's free so that's not bad.

It was nice room. Everything I need to stay for one night. Breakfast was good.

I stay here often while traveling for business. The front desk used to acknowledge Platinum Elite members but lately they don't. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant, lovely smile and very helpful. I did have to ask for water. Wasn't asked if I wanted the little munchies bag or bonus points but points showed up on my account. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast is fine. Front desk staff is always pleasant. I like that.

Great staff annie serves great breakfast.

11am is check out. I called down to ask for a 12:30pm late check out. The indifferent worker behind the desk told me that they cannot accommodate my request because they are too busy. I made the request because I had a rough night of sleep because the AC wasn't working great and the room was too hot therefore, I didn't sleep well. I then got out of bed and threw some clothes on and when I opened the door, one of the room cleaners was in the hallway. I asked her if I can stay until 12:30pm. She said, "No problem. We're not too busy today". Apparently, the front desk needs to be trained on better customer service. I will NEVER stay at this property and I would recommend you avoid it as well. Do not reward bad behavior.

Was an alright hotel. Bed were not comfortable at all but plenty to eat and the internet was adequate. Breakfast was actually more impressive than most and the staff was friendly.

The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was clean, but not hotel clean though. It wasn't dirty, but behind the toilet, the tub, behind the night stands, and along the baseboards we're all neglected as though the last few years the cleaners just did a quick vacuum and dust.

These to hotels are located in a very good location not even a mile from the airport. Very clean environment to stay.

The hotel was very clean, had all the amenities that we needed, they was two people working when we checked in and they were fantastic. Much to my surprise when I came down to head to the soccer tournament, the same young woman was still working and was even more surprised that she called me by my last name. I don't know how she remembered it from the night before. I definitely felt welcomed. My only complaint, actually my son, there was no waffle or pancake maker for breakfast.

The room smelled disgusting. The bed was not comfortable, the breakfast was not good. The only posotive was the friendly staff.

Room comfy, clean. Had no bad things to say. Staff appeared a bit put out by late arrivals but were skilled at how to handle.

Clean, comfortable room. Great breakfast. A bit loud due to the proximity of the airport but not unbearable. 9/10 would sleep here again.

The concierge was awesome! Answered all my questions and I completed my tasks easily!

The breakfast here is by far the best of any HIE that I have been a guest of. She goes the extra step to make it as fresh as possible.

Room was nice, clean. But hotel had NO laundry facility. We were there for a 3 day soccer tournament. Needed to wash uniforms daily, along with hundreds. Of other girls for the same tourney. We were allowed to use the facilities in the Holiday Inn (a "sister" hotel) which was next door, but it was a nuisance. Also, the laundry room consisted of ONE washer and ONE dryer for TWO hotels! The breakfast which came with our room package, was OK. Would have been better if the pancake and waffle station was working, broken entire time we were there. Could have over looked the above, but the house keeping staff… the one in our floor… Two people in our room. We were allowed exactly 2 large bath towels. My hair is short, no issue, same towel for body and then wrap around my head. But my daughter has thick hair to her waist. I asked for an extra towel and was told no. I told housekeeping my daughter needed one for her hair, it is very long and she tells me people usually use the hand towels for their hair. (huh? ) Who are the people who do that? Pinheads? Others on our team had 4/5 people in their rooms and were left with 2 large towels as well. They were told they ran out of towels, would be brought later, it never happened. No pillows/sheets/blankets in their rooms for pull out sofas. We would enter our rooms after 4:00 and they still hadn't been serviced… when we left for dinner 5:30… still no one had come by… what's the point now?

I enjoyed my stay and the staff was awesome. Breakfast was great. Would stay again.

Good enough to flop after cancelled flight. Building showing signs of wear and tear. Staff friendly but not motivated. Breakfast out at 4am for those early flyers.

Stayed for a week. Waited 4 hours for a towel. Finally went to get one myself. I came back to my room during the afternoon, maids left my door ajar all day. Glad my belongings were still there. And they didnt change bedding or towels even though they were in my room. Dreadlock maid told me 3 times she was getting me a towel. Definitely not what I usually get when staying at Holiday Inn. Rooms need better cleaning. Unhappy customer.

Definitely not the best Holiday Inn I've been to. Breakfast has been better at just about every other location I've been too. Which is around 15 or 20. Rooms are just average. Normally more impressed with this chain.

Holiday inn express has such friendly staff working at the hotel. They were so helpful. The hotel was so clean. I am so looking forward to my next stay here.

Had no issues, staff was very friendly and Breakfeast was good. Managers helped me out with anything I needed.

Our stay started out nice. The check-in process was pleasant, the room was nice and the breakfast was good as well. We left the hotel at 8am to spend the day visiting the Richmond area. We returned after 5pm that day to our room to find that nothing had been done. The bed was un-kept, the towels were where we left them, and was had very little toilet paper (which was the case from the beginning. ) We called down to the front desk and the person told us housekeeping had tried to clean our room, but there was a “Do not Disturb” sign on the door. This is untrue, but the only response we received was that housekeeping had left for the day, and the manager would give us a call. We heard nothing more. Later that evening we walked to the front desk and asked to see what was going on. The young lady at the front desk told us the complaint had been logged into the “book” and a manager (the sign said the Manager on Duty was Amy Patel) would call us… on Monday, two days later, when we were already home. No other reconciliation was offered and when we inquired about another room, we were told there were none. Ironically, while waiting to speak to the front desk person, a couple in front of us had also been complaining about a dirty room, so it’s obvious we weren’t singled out. We were lucky enough to get some shampoo and towels, after asking repeatedly. Needless to say, Monday came and went and we never heard from anyone.

We stayed a whole week at this hotel, the toilet leaked but we didn't complain. My husband and I have back issues, I'm on disability. We had to pack our house of 6 years to move to Fl. We were so tired and sore this hotel was close so we stayed. We kept extending it because we thought we would've able to get on the road. Well they put the money on hold on my debit card each day. The rates changed and were higher on the weekends, well my husband heard the manager Amy Patel tell a guest that if they didn't reserve the room through a third party she could give them any rate she wanted. Well Friday night I talked to the girl up front and she said she was sure Patel would give us a discount because we had been there for almost a week. So I took that as a too sign and we stayed the weekend. Monday my husband tried to talk to Amy Patel and she was very rude! And said no, she couldn't do anything. My husband knew that wasn't true because he heard hersay the opposite. Well I had to take my daughter to the Dr before leaving Richmond. While I was out, he tried to extend the room, well the card declined. He told them I was out and would put money in the bank, they said no. If the card didn't go thru in 30 mins we had tyo get out… so of course the drs appointment ran longer and 30 mins later the card wouldn't go thru. So my husband went up there with $700 cash.

My MoM and I were traveling together and decided to try a HIE. First off their military discount makes the room cost more. Still trying to figure that out. Even with my Mom's AARP we payed $121 a night ($146 with dog fee) And for that price, The room was dirty, it looked like something spilled on the bathroom floor and door frame that house keeping was too sorry to wipe up. The phone was filthy as were ALL the lamps. Batteries in the remote were bad and they were unable to replace them. Charged for a service dog to stay. Will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn again.

The hotel staff was very nice but the hotel itself needs to be remodeled desperately. The rooms are outdated and the furniture old and not kept up. Multiple issues with the key cards. I had to get 3 new keys in a 2 night stay. Very frustrating to say the least. But the iron works great if your goal is to soak your clothes. Wi-Fi was ok. Slow but it did work. There is a pool but I did not use it. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was just a few minutes away from the airport. Very clean room, nothing flashy, but courteous staff and free breakfast. Good deal overall.

The staff is awesome they serve two breakfast at 4am is a continental and then another breakfast at 6:30 eggs sausage bacon I've been staying here on and off for the last 2 months rooms are spotless housekeeping does a great job the grounds are kept clean there is always parking even though the place is packed I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This hotel sucks the front desk is awful! the general manager amy patel is the rudest most unprofessional person ive ever met in my entire life … do not stay here! no hospitality at all!

I stayed in thus hotel with my large group as we were attending a convention. This is the worst hotel I have ever seen despite charging 104 + tax each night. Door lock was not working and from 1st night I keep telling desk clerk and nothing was done until we checked out. Room was dirty and old. Toilet flush was brocken as it was rusted and was not fixed. I asked to talk to manager but I was not provided. I would stay at other hotel had not my group stayed here. Strongly consider hotels around this but never this one! You can't stay if your door doesn't love or toilet flush is broken!

The hotel staff was very nice, but the room was less than desirable. The grout in the shower was brown when it should have been white, so that felt unclean. The air conditioner was not working properly, so the room was very humid. We asked to moved to a different room, but there were no other rooms open, so we had to stay in that room. I like staying at Holiday Inn Express hotels, however, I will not stay in this particular one again.

Stayed at this hotel with a large group for a wedding, would have checked out and looked at other hotels in the area if not with a group — — this place is badly in need of renovation and is showing a lot of wear and tear — — the front desk staff was the only thing I could recommend as they were all pleasant and helpful — — each day the housekeeping staffed knocked on the door around 8 to ask if we needed service that day, we requested service each day but on Sunday after being asked again if we wanted service and requesting it the room was never serviced and we had to call the front desk for fresh towels that evening — — nothing was done in the room, bed not made, bathroom not cleaned — — I would not recommend this hotel — — I am a Holiday Inn Priority club member and rate this hotel one of the worse I have experienced.

I had an awesome experience. Everyone and everything was really nice. The staff was very professional and their knowledge of the area helped tremendously.

Nice hotel. Nice people. But most important to me is the Wi-Fi. I just ran a Wi-Fi Speed Test and this hotel is off the charts for Hotel Wi-Fi. Just clocked it at 40 Mbps. Most hotels are closer to 1.5 Mbps. Kudos. To those writing Hotel Reviews on any website please try to include the Wi-Fi strength for those of us that care. :).
