Staying here was like a dream! I felt so relaxed, and even got to meet new people that were also staying there as well. The breakfast was wonderful! This place is what you think of when you imagine Hawaii! Definitely staying here again.

Exelent service, wonderful staff, and amazeing amenities. Do. Yourself a favor and spend some time on these amazeing grounds.

Such a beautiful property. Bre, the Inn keeper made our stay feel like home! The views and property are a must see! My son and I ate dinner on the Lanai and played scrabble for hours enjoying the sounds of the waterfall, animals and rain. So relaxing!

Beautiful. Quiet, escape beside your very own waterfall, topped off with dinner overlooking this magical natural wonder. Worth the $$$.

The waterfall is gorgeous, the staff is accommodating, friendly and engaged and the rooms are unique and spacious. The food was delicious too!

Totally amazing experience! Got to swim at our own personal waterfall! No one else was staying there. View of waterfall from our room and make sure to book the private chef meal, so worth it!

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed and I have stayed at numerous 5 star resorts. We stayed in the Pagoda House for our 2 week quarantine and every morning I woke up to the most spectacular view of the falls!. The staff went above and beyond and made you feel very welcomed. Everything about the Inn beat our expectations and I feel so lucky to have started my life in Hawaii at this amazing place. Thank you Christophe and Marie. We'll be back!

For a truly authentic Hawaiian experience, a place to relax and breathe in the beauty of the Big Island, I highly recommend the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls. The staff are wonderful and attentive, the landscape is breathtaking and the amenities are very comfortable. This will be a repeat place for me in the future. I also highly recommend the cooking class at the Farm. Chef Megan is awesome and the experience of farm-to-table was amazing.

I've been to Hawaii exactly once and this is where we stayed. Couldn't have made a better virgin trip to the big island!
They aren't far from the Helo airport (I think it was all of 15-20 mins), but you do sort of feel like you're lost on the way. We followed the Google map instructions with our rental and we (what seemed like) drove in this ginormous circle as we turned left and left and left — but have no fear your map isn't misleading you, paradise does indeed await at the end!
The facility is simply lovely — all of their Hosts are lovely and the facility is welcoming. We stayed in the Pagoda Guest House which has a view of the Falls. The sound at night is the perfect lull to sleep!
They have Happy Hour in the evening, it’s a great time to meet other guests and sit and enjoy the view of the falls. They offer a few different experiences you can book, my husband and I did the Lava Tube. It. Was. AWESOME! I don’t know that I can describe it properly – in short, lava from a volcano flows through the ground and dries and creates these lava tubes. Hundreds of years later we get to walk through these tubes! Literally, there is dried lava all around you. It’s the coolest thing I’ve done, maybe ever!
Their chef, Dayson, works either 3 or 4 nights a week — you NEED to make sure and reserve at least one meal with him. All of his meals are personalized to his guests.

This place could not be more amazing or more special. I have visited the inn multiple times and my husband and I were lucky enough to get married here. Lexi and Jasmine did everything they could do to make our special day and our stay nothing short of amazing. We hope to come and stay here for years and years to come. We love and miss you guys❤️

Terrific experience and experience is the key. This is more than just a room at an inn. Private waterfall on property with repelling adventure available. Private access to a lava tube adventure. Awesome dinners with private chef available to make your experience perfect. Highly recommend.

A beautiful location and friendly staff :o) We stayed in the Residence Suite which was huge and provided lovely views all the way to the ocean!
We had dinner with them one night which was really tasty and beautifully presented with a view of the waterfall while we ate :o)
The lava tube excursion with them was great fun too! :o)

Serene and peaceful. Overlook the falls, the canyon, or the ocean and lava in the distance. Also visit 'spice' road on your drive up.

Wife and I really enjoyed our staycation. We just wanted a to have a getaway without going to far away. This place fit the call. We felt like we were in a different world. We got there early and ead greated by the inn keeper, showed around and to our room which was ready. Our room (residence suite) was clean and very large. View is of the town, (No waterfall view) very nice. Living area has french doors leading to grass area but I wish the was some sort of screen to allow a breeze in without mosquito. Our visit was a week after huge rains damaged the trails to the river but we could still make it to the waterfall and pond which was awesome. Breakfast was good, coffee juices, assorted fruits, cheeses and a waffle station. They was the good. The bad or could be better, the bamboo garden trail is saturated with mosquito that are starving for your blood you should be advised about that. Being that I am from near this area, I was prepared but wow that was a lot of mosquitoes. The inn keepers change daily and as great as the one that greeted us when we arrived the one on day two was nice but when I met her I had to ask her if she was the new inn keepers midday after I noticed her around the office area with her two young children. I even had to ask her name after she said she was the inn keeper. Just a little better communication there so we know what is going on around us in case of an emergency. Overall, great stay and busy relaxing. Almost 5 stars.

Relaxed, isolated and beautiful. Accommodating hosts with reasonable food, decent facilities, and nice ambience. Shower was excellent, bed decent, kitchen well equipped. Really, it's all about the setting and atmosphere rather than the amenities. Lots of frog noise overnight and very very damp.

One of the most unique & beautiful places we have ever stayed. Truly a hidden gem. The grounds & waterfall are amazing. The staff is friendly, generous & super accomodating. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. I highly recommend this beautiful inn.

I could not recommend going here enough! The inn was one of the highlights of our trip. We were able to swim and stand up paddle board by ourselves in the waterfall which was an amazing experience. Additionally the staff was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like we were the only guests there.

Small, ut of the way inn with macadamia nut trees, a beautiful view of the falls, and experiences you can book, including rappelling down the falls or exploring nearby lava fields. The rooms are sparsely but elegantly furnished. Staffis friendly and knowledgeable. You can pick and crack your own macadamia nuts if they are ripe.

Rooms were nice and view is quite amazing. Hiking trails could have been taken care of better (lots of mud) and rest points were full of trash. Still, overall a great place and recommended!

Truly a hidden gem on the Big Island. We only spent one night as we toured the island and really wished we had more. Tony was a fantastic host and the hike was one of our favorite parts of our entire Hawaii trip. The waterfall was beautiful (wish we could have swam in it but the water was too high and fast). I highly recommend this Inn!

Wonderfully hospitable staff, amazing views from breakfast/lounge deck. Simple, nice rooms. Totally worth being a 20 minute drive from Hilo. Would highly recommend!

If you are a nature lover looking for a peaceful, non-commercial setting you will love the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The falls provides hydo-electricity to the establishment and they are very conscious of being eco-friendly. Although breakfast and a happy hour with refreshments is offered daily, after a few days the menu (or lack there of since there's no cooking on site) gets tiresome. But there are lots of fresh fruits and veggies. The location is VERY remote. So, plan to rent and car and explore the island.

Paradise … great local tips, down to earth staff, chill out environment with plenty to do if you want to. Wish we could have stayed longer. Close to airport but you would never know it.

This place is beyond amazing, I feel truly blessed to have found it — Tony was a wonderful host and historian. He told us about the property and how it came to be. The best nights were spent drinking wine and eating cheese and watching the waterfall. The room was so comfortable and there is also a full kitchen we could have used. A truly unique experience. We also rappelled down the waterfall. Every person made us feel so welcome. Wow!

Small, quiet, incredible friendly staff treat you like old friends. The waterfall is right on the property, and just a short walk down a path. Not a luxury resort. Perfect if your looking for something a little wild, and off the beaten path.

The best Hotel in Hilo, expelling attention, comfort, breakfast, breathtaking view, I would definitely go back without thinking.

It was an unforgettable experience. Of the 3 hotels we visited on Oahu, Hawaii and Maui, it was the cutest. The waterfall and the surroundings make it a really magical place, of which one would never want to leave. Also, the employees are super friendly, they give very good recommendations. It is the ideal hotel to go as a couple. The only thing I could possibly have is that it is necessary to go by car, because otherwise it would be spent a lot by taxi. Anyway Big Island is an island without a car is much less enjoyed.
