I'm going to try to be as honest as possible here and get all sides of the story. The food was great. The drinks are $2.50 each and they only have like 5 options. They do have a bar, though I did not try anything. The plates ranged anywhere from like $17-$7. The whole menu adds up quickly. They have a nice variety with a good balance of seafood and mexican. They also have a interesting menu with great, new items; one of them being a fried avocado. When we went it was really loud and when we were ordering we had to raise our voices to be heard by the waitress. All the staff members were sweet and accomidating. I would recommend going for a late lunch or early dinner. They had already closed before we left and they were in no way rushing us. This was definitely one of — if not — the best restaurants around.

Huge room, very clean, nice staff, well priced. Win all around! Staff helped us with bedding, helped me figure out the washer and dryer. Awesome kid friendly pool but also a caribian resort feel with the cabannas. They even have warm towels out by the pool. Our sweet even has raised ceilings to feel extra roomy. The breakfast is amazing yall. Eggs, sausgae, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, texas waffles, cereal, pasties, yogurt, and such a sweet dining staff!

Expensive for regular motel. Breakfast predictable. Bathrooms semi clean. Room comfortable with adjustable A/C. Walls are paper thin and can hear conversations from other guests. Poor security for pool area. Guests opening gate for non guests/ family/ friends to come in and use pool and take up space for paying guests. Also being drunk and noisy all while "supervising" children. Best to come during the week as weekends fully booked.

Stayed here with my husband and son on Memorial Day and we loved it. Everything was so unexpectedly great in the service department and the pool/breakfast were amazing. Ladies working there were all very welcoming and great with my little one. It’s a little expensive but they’re good. Only complaints are that it is very noisy, could hear our neighbor snoring through the wall all night and the pull out bed on the couch had a dirty bottom sheet but it was very comfy after the sheets were changed. We definitely plan to make another trip back out just bringing some ear plugs to make the place perfect.

Location is convenient, room are under construction due to hurricane Harvey in August 2017. Some security issues that I was uncomfortable with, room not properly cleaned during check-in (i. E. Hair in shower/bathtub, urine on rim of toilet underneath seat), someone else's bags were in our room at check-in. Overall it was a good stay. Construction is all day & evening, but I understand this is usual since the Rockport community is having to rebuild & they expect it to take a least a year for the whole town. I gave them some slack because of that. There were other issues too, but I think they were shorthanded (as many places around here are due to the hurricane) so I kept that into consideration too. Maybe we'll stay here again next year when the town is better prepared. We come to Rockport every October for our anniversary & typically stay in a rental house, but 80% of homes/buildings were damaged so we had limited options for accommodations. Mostly a good stay for the 3 nights we were here.

Nice new rooms. Clean and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again.

Nice place. Not what you expect from La Quinta for sure. Pool really nice but overall the cost per nite is to high for offerings.

Nice and new. Good breakfast. However price was way too high, $244 for the night is about twice as much as I would think La Quinta Inn is worth.

A really good place to stay. Quiet, clean, very comfortable beds, well maintained building. Staff were helpful. Complimentary breakfast was excellent.

Elliptical machine hasn't worked since at least November eventhough I notified a front desk employee. I came back in Jan, it still wasn't fixed and neither did cycler machine work. Stairwell areas were constantly littered with debris such as landscaping bark and cigarette pack plastic. One elevator had dirty handprints inside from construction workers and key pad was filthy. Chest of drawers in our room had been missing a foot and was therefore off balance so door didn't shut properly or at all. But staff is happy, friendly and helpful most of the time. Breakfast is good.

Very friendly breakfast attendant, I wish all people were so courteous and cheery. Clean rooms, not too much wear to be seen. Only downside was a woman who killed a big roach in eating area. I suppose most hotels have them and indeed most homes in TX, I just haven't seen them.

Tiny roach babies crawling out of bathtub drain, but not intimidating like full sized ones. Breakfast was great, friendly staff there and at front desk. Workout room was decent.

Excellant. Super nice place in our new favorite town. The staff is friendly and the room was great. Restaurants nearby made our stay here wonderful.

I stayed a few days at this La Quinta in January 2017 and really loved it and would stay there again if I ever returned to the area. I hope the hotel survived the hurricane. It is comfortable, clean, with friendly staff, and good breakfast buffets.

Wonderful, clean, smells great. Pool beautiful. Staff friendly… I wanted to add more to my post since I noticed the owner commented. Our maid service, Mary was awesome. The employee's are really hard workers. They make you feel welcomed.

Nice Hotel with a modern charm. Clean and a great costumer service from checking in breakfast, questions and checking out. Great Pool with Cabanas recommend this hotel.

Had a pleasant stay there; rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and professional. It's easy to reach and offers plenty of parking (which is a big plus on a road trip). Pool area offers spaces both exposed and shielded from the sun. All in all, I'd recommend it.

June 3, 2017. Exceptional stay at the La Quinta. Squeaky clean, pleasant staff and an awesome bed. Bathroom gets a 10/10. Modern decor, feels like you've arrived in 2017. The only thing that pisses me off is that pets are allowed. Pet people, please go stay at some other joint, your pet loving BS is more suited for the Super 6 or La Hacienda Inn than here.

Animals are allowed which can be bothersome, when they are barking. I reserved a king suite with kitchen. It turns out that it's just a king bed and couch with a kitchenette area. The kitchenette was nice but was expecting a much bigger room. It is in no way a suite. The pool area is very nice. Love the cabanas. Daily breakfast is nice too. About 2 miles from the beach.

Right on the highway (easy to find and navigate to) but also very quiet at night. The rooms are large, the breakfast is decent and the Wi-Fi works. A little on the pricey side, but clean, convenient and comfortable.

Great property… well located… easy to find… very clean… smells fresh… nice cookies… room decor lovely… nice staff… pet friendly… enjoyed it immensely. It is a great value for the money and was just what we needed for an affordable few days away!

I'm currently staying here for work. I think is the best LQ I stayed in. They served free breakfast, and free cookies in the evening. The gym is great since they have dumbbells and all in one work out station. Everything is so modern, new, and the whole building smell great. The pool area has a resort look. The only down fall is that you have to pay to use there grill. $25 for 3 hours.

Hotel and Room were very clean and comfortable. Good location. Very good breakfast. They even had omelets. The staff was great. The breakfast attendant was super friendly and very informative about local attractions. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay there again.

Love this La Quinta. We have stayed a few times as they are a dog friendly hotel with a very nice room. The only issue we had in the past was the dog area was unattended and my dogs would not step foot in it. That has since been rectified, either someone is attending it or people are doing a better job of cleaning up after their animals. Overall it was a great stay. The pool is amazing and we will return as we always do.

The people are friendly and it's clean and quiet. I'm not sure if the entire hotel is smoke free but you don't smell any smoking stench. It was also nice that they are a pet friendly place for no extra cost. The designated rooms don't stink of pets or look messed up from any pet damage. There were alot of pets during our 4 day stay and you didn't hear any annoying barking or animals out of control. Everyone used leashes and there was a designated grass patch with a bag and trash can station for picking up pet messes. We did notice that about half the people didn't use this even thought it was provided and so easy to access. We even brought our own to keep it friendly and clean. We appreciated and enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast every morning. There was hot coffee all day and baked cookies in the afternoon. The saltwater pool was nice. It was nice that we didn't have to use all of our room towels because there were pool towels provided by the pool. The hotel location was quiet and easy to get to and from. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. It was so nice to have Rockport beach was only 8 minutes away too. Because we had never stayed at Rockport before I was worried about my choice of hotel, but I soon realized it wasn't bad at all. We had a nice stay and a good time for our short summer visit.

We stayed at two other La Quintas in Texas, this was definitely the best. Because it's privately owned. There was a lot more attention to detail the food was better the room cleaner the staff more helpful. Great location in Rockport better than staying in corpus Christie.

This hotel is very clean and updated. The pool is also clean and has 3 cabanas with ceiling fans and outdoor couches. Overall, the hotel is quiet and the breakfast is good — waffles, sausage patties, biscuits, home fries, muffins, etc. It is about 5 minutes from Rockport beach. Will come back.

A nice new location. Hot water could use some help. Took a while, but it did get very hot eventually.

Rooms were nice, employees nice, had no problems. They allow pets so there might be a bark here and there but no complaints from me. Breakfast is ok, nothing special.

Friendly, clean, and cozy! The continental breakfast was delicious as well. The pool was well kept and beautiful! I would stay here again any night! Easy to find and right on the major highway.

A very nice and welcoming staff well informed on Rockport. The rooms are beautiful and clean. My fiancé and I were so impressed with the hotel and all it has to offer, We will be spending our honeymoon there.

The staff and Management team were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is until 10, for people who like to slepp in. The pool was awesome. My kids had a blast.

We are Elite Status Member of the LQ Rewards program as well as Hyatt PLatinum and HH Honors. We stay at a lot of hotels and but will NEVER stay at this LQ in Rockport Texas. The General Manager Jane G is by far a huge liability to La Quinta organization. She belittles her employees and guests. We booked our room with our Yorkies to spend the holidays there and she ruined our vacation. We had booked thru our Rewards program and asked them to update CC info on file 3x and they still had our old CC info, when they ran it (obviously) it declined. The GM calls our room and states she is kicking us out if we don't get downstairs with an updated form of payment. When I tried to explain to her why, she said "I don't care, I don't want to hear it. BUT, before she said that she was in her office laughing it up with her friends while in the meantime the lobby assistant asked her to come in the lobby 3x to deal with a customer complaint. Jane even started cussing at me then called the police. I'm sorry that La Quinta lost our business and we have spread the word to other friends and other guests.

Loved the stay. The hotel was well maintained and I was taken back by how nice the room was and how pretty the pool area is. The price was very reasonable. Just wish the pet area was monitored so that way the establishment could charge extra for the terrible pet parents out there that think picking up after their pets are below them. Or have staff that cleans up that area a bit more as we have a picky pooper and she did not want to step in the pet area.

This place was fantastic! The older lady with blonde short hair wasn't very friendly, warm, or welcoming but the rest of the staff more than made up for that. I loved how dog friendly this establishment was and the fact that they didn't charge any sort of pet fee. Unfortunately due to people not picking up after their pets one of my dogs refused to use the restroom in the dog area. PRO TIP they have kitchenettes and FREE COOKIES in the lobby. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed mine.

Although it's a nice new hotel with friendly staff (except one) the dog walking area is horrible. It isn't kept clean, you can smell it before you get to it and our dogs wouldn't step on it. We got in trouble for walking our dogs in another area. Not keeping the area clean will cause parasites and diseases, I for one will not subject my dogs to that. If you advertise "pet friendly" then there should be a clean, healthy environment for our pets. Carol.

A very modern hotel with comfy rooms, a nice swimming pool with cabanas, and a very well balanced complimentary breakfast menu. Belgian waffles in the shape of Texas is a nice touch. Will be looking for the nearest one come next trip.
