Nice room love everything.

Definitely I will not recommend this hotel. They have a really bad customer service, the rooms were dirty, bed linen wasn't changed, the photos that they posted on FB and Booking. Com didn't reflect the reality. We paid for two suites with jacuzzi and none of the rooms have this feature, the bathrooms gave hair on the floor, ammenities were used by a prior guests, corners of the floor were dusty, furniture was in bad condition, kitchen was disgusting. We asked for changed rooms to the front desk agent he just ignored our petition, none of the employees have name tags or professional uniforms. The environment was unsecured and the lobby was dirty. No recommend this hotel at all.

Most of the staff is rude. Checked in on Saturday and Monday we had no power. The staff wasn't at all helpful until we asked several times what was going to be done, they sent us to their sister hotel that did not have water. I know Texas is having a hard time currently, but they were rude about it and didn't try to offer bottled water or jugs of water. When you ask for a manager, they always say she isn't there. We paid extra to have a balcony but didn't get that when they moved us rooms. Soda machines were always sold out. Pool had pretty lights, hot tub was cold. Very upsetting, we stayed there 2 years ago and they were awesome! No breakfast like they advertise. When we asked for a refund or partial refund they refused. Told us that if it was that bad we would have left. (we are out of town with no where to go! ) I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

0ur third year here. We stay in the Patio/balcony rooms. We watch the pool guy throughly clean the pool every morning. The maids do a fantastic job the hallways are always clean. The front desk personnel have always been accommodating. If ever we had issues with our rooms, they were taken care of in a timely manner. Yes parking is a pain in the ass, and even made into a bigger problem right now because it is under construction. Some people have complained about a towing scam, there are signs posted all over the parking lot that this is Blue Bay inn parking only and that you will be towed. This is understandable, because the parking lot is already congested enough without the added store shoppers.

Horrible service, rooms aren’t clean well. Poor customer service. Don’t even try! They said they will change the sheets they never came.

Got here and 7 went straight tio the pool came at 9:45 to put the sticker and or car was gone… 275$ we can't stay the extra night cause our money is gone and they wont refund our money for the extra day.

Room was full of gnats and flies. To top it off the receptionist was rude and didn’t want to give us a refund. Staff there is not helpful at all. Manager as to say kept arguing and interrupting us as we spoke. Worst experience ever, would not recommend this hotel at all. Manager kept laughing in our faces and kept saying she was the only person in charge.

We just rented and the shower does not work and I called to speak to the manager and she said she was it so I explained my situation and she said they dont have maintenance if I want to check out but with no refund been here for a few hours and because of a shower not working she said I can check out if I didnt like it she was making fun of my situation and was very unprofessional for being the manager I dont recomend this place to anyone if something breaks down you have to tuff it up or check out worst costumer service.

AC went out in the middle of the night. Front desk only offered a fan. Horrible experience.

Nice Staff and really clean modern rooms with a great view of the Laguna Madre … for a Super great price.!. Totally worth it!

Avoid at all costs! They stole $515 from a vet and a 11 yr old child for a three night stay for the 4th of July and tried to give us a nasty handicap room, instead of the room that we had reserved from Hotels. Com. They choose not to give us our money back and we had to resort to call the police and file a criminal complaint. We are filing complaints with the AG, BBB and the SPI Chamber of commerce as well as the local JP thru the police complaint we already filed. What a travesty and rip off this place is! We drove 10 hours to enjoy a 3 day vacation and they absolutely ruined it! The worst place and people to deal with! They should be embarrassed of themselves on how they treated us. What a nightmare we had because of them! What a nasty and disgusting place this is!

Great place to stay and enjoy the island, the best sunsets are here.

It's a nice cozy spot right as you come onto the island. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was very clean and the large television made winding down a pleasant experience.

Only booked off Priceline because it advertised a pool side bar. Pool side bar is closed it's just storage. Not worth the $114 per night when I could have went somewhere I could have a cold drink on location in the evening.

The bad: In the room: dirty windows (could barely see the bay because of the dirtiness), some lights aren’t working, TV remote is missing a part, low water pressure for the bath, restroom had body wash/shampoo dispensers, but they were empty, and the toilet paper didn’t have a holder. If you plan on charging your phone, good luck finding a good outlet for it, as there aren’t many options. Breakfast: not as many options as surrounding areas, barely any gluten free options, all cereal is unhealthy, no eggs and sausage The good: In the room: It was nice and clean when we walked in. Beds were pretty nice, only having two small sheets, if you’re fine with that. The big, high definition TV was mounted on the wall, with a good variety of channels. The microwave and minifridge are a nice addition. Restroom looked nice and clean, a good amount of room in there. Breakfast: Had many drink options, including milk, coffee, and juices. Had one fruit (a banana). Verdict: This hotel gets the job done as a place where you can rest on your vacation. You get what you pay for with prices as low as these.

The room was very spacious and clean. The mattresses were a little hard, the stove top didn't work and I also saw some roaches, not a lot if them but one here and there. Other than that friendly staff and they had some breakfast items early in the morning.

Hotel is less than expected at check in BUT when we went into our room I was pleasantly surprised. Very high ceilings, modern art, dark intimate colors, kitchenette with fridge stove and sink included although we didn't pay extra for it. My bed was AMAZING. I actually took a picture of the tag because it was so very comfy. The pool wasn't fantastic, small and attached to the hot tub which was dirty. They so have an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from the beach which was nice. The staff was also nice. Would definately stay here again.

It's nice rooms and space are awesome! Have stove fridge and microwave unlike other spots. The costumer service is great and nice employees. The pool is awesome!

Very impressed with room. Decor is great. A king and queen plus a foldout and kitchen for a low price. Breakfast could be a bit better. Obviously been remodeled to please. Very refreshing.

Awesome service. We were on the ground floor which is noisy and no view. They moved us up to the third floor no charge the next day the moment it became available.

They have done a lot of renovations in the hotel rooms. The showers and tubs are still the original ones. We stayed in a suite and it was a very spacious room with kitchenette and mini fridge. Jet juccuzzi tub was a nice feature. The hotel still has an old feel too it. The breakfast consists of waffles, cearal, and danishes. The room cleaning people were amazing. They do a great job cleaning. There is a pool and hot tub in the back.

Decent place to stay, nice room set up and nice balcony, but they have to get the roaches under control. My wife hates roaches with a passion and they are UN ACCEPTABLE.

Good bed, clean rooms, best room for price and right off bay. Views where amazing. Could add few things to breakfast but was a great stay overall.

The staff was always friendly, the breakfasts were good, the room we stayed in was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, made service, cud use some help they like to walk in without knocking, we were close to the beach n that was great… besides the noise frm the stairs next to me everything else was good n ill be coming bk next yr. I'm giving five stars to this two star hotel because of its value location, view, and laid-back but helpful owners and staff. In the off season rooms can be had here for around 30 bucks.

Good location, clean rooms and bathrooms, little interest from the staff, no bathroom services (shampoo, conditioner, body soap)

It was a nice comfortable room. Seemed clean. Offered breakfast. Microwave and fridge included. Walls are all paper thin though and you can hear everything. A bit annoying. The entire building reeked of Marijuana but they don't offer any rooms for smokers. Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst.

This place will forever hold a good memory for me and my family. They had such a great staff on top of the price. The rooms were kept warm and dry during the time we went. Its was pet friendly and had no problems with no leash. Breakfast was great for the room and price located on a pretty outlook of the bay.

I liked staying here, up until the stupid maid walked in on me while I was naked changing. Not even a knock! Who does that? No respect! Any how all is good till morning comes and you spot roches walking around in that flat stove.

In low season is a good option.

Ir was nice. Good customer service. It wasn't clean hallways room pool area. But it was good.

Pros: bed was clean, room was clean, pool was clean, clean air, cheap, nice enough view, breakfast atleast had waffles and cereal, people were nice. Cons: hotel in general wasn't up to date or well taken care of, microwave didn't work (well most buttons), soap dispensers in shower was empty, breakfast was cheap and small. Other than that it was good enough, I didn't have really any problems that I couldn't deal with.

Close to everything, clean rooms. Continental breakfast included. Bath towels were limited and extremely small. If possible, bring your own towels. Our room had a kitchenette that was lacking all dishes to cook. I didn't call front desk to request those items. I found it annoying that we paid for a room with a kitchenette and we received a stove with nothing to cook. I will come back only with a very good price otherwise, I will skip this place.

This Hotels was a nice, our queen size bed was comfortable. We had some difficulties with the AC getting the room temperature adjusted. The refrigerator made a buzzing load noise and we found a cockroach, behind it, which made us concern. The room was cleaned and towels were ok. The hotels is being remodeled we got a room that was already done and it was very pleasant. Including furniture. NO carpet whith is a plus for us. The room smelled fresh and the lining was also fresh and new. For the price this location was good. BF was pastries, coffee, waffles and apples. We would try this location again if we returned. Pet friendly too.

Hotel is currently under renovation which took away from the curb appeal. My husband booked online and they gave us the wrong room. The desk attendant offered to give us the correct room the following day but who wants to pack up again while on vacay? The room we had supposedly had a kitchenette, but it was just a 2 range countertop insert right next to the bed! Really? The exterior looked very cheap. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was an emergency. The stars are for location and the staff.

OH MY, SUCH A GEM! I was genuinely surprised by how elegant the room was. The price was outstanding, so I just braced myself for something sub par. I was blown away. I stayed in room 214 and didn't have any issues. Great view, the continental breakfast was so good, and I had a whole kitchenette with a glass top stove. Seriously, why don't more people know about this?! I think they just did some renovations, so its a whole new experience. I 100% would recommend this place. I don't have anything bad to say about my stay. Management is doing a great job. The place looks so different from two years ago.

Worth the cheap price. Room was clean and the kitchenette did work. The mattress was old and had developed the impression of previous renters. My back was out every morning. I had to borrow an extension cord for my cpap, because there were no nightstands or outlets at the head of the beds. Also it looks like they are trying to renovate. I can only guess they did the bathrooms themselves, or hadn't finished the finishing. No safety rails for a walk in shower. I was nervous. It would be worth spending a bit more for something with more outlets. If you have a cpap go somewhere else. They need to get new mattresses.

The room smelled bad and the breakfast was very bad.

My wife called the same day to reserve a room and of course we get there and they had no clue of the reservation. So we had to settle for something else and even though it was cheaper then we originally were going to pay it was not worth it. First thing I see when we get in the room is a roach crawling on the door. Went to take a shower and the water pressure sucked. The sink counter tops looked like they had stains that have been there for yrs. Oh and the beds lets just say you get what you pay for I guess. Overall it was a crappy stay and would recommend you do a lot more research before staying here.

Wasn't too bad. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette. Took the fridge awhile to get cold. Saw a roach in the ice machine. Staff was very nice and friendly. The hot tub was only lukewarm… but the staff raised the temp when we asked however the color or the water was a little… questionable. But it had a great view!

Very courteous staff. Nice clean rooms. Cold air. Breakfast was great. Nice pool area. Forgot my phone charger at home, called down to front desk and one of the staff members loaned me theirs. Life saver! Thanks Blue Bay Inn.

This place has seen better days and they could do a better job with maintenance. Balcony was dirty. What's good is the central location and for the most part the staff is very nice and accomodating. Beware of the elevators.

Currently staying at blue bay in. It is 3am. I cannot sleep as I am too busy cleaning out roaches from my children's luggage. My daughter woke up to use the restroom and informed me of the bugs. The started crawling out of EVERYWHERE. The bed frame the microwave the mini fridge. You name it. They moved us to another room on the 4th floor. It's cleaner but there are still tiny dead roaches in the restroom. FML! I have plenty of pictures to show someone who can hopefully do something about this. As for me, I will not be staying here again and I would not recommend any one to stay here.

The room was nice looking, I can tell the place is getting renovated, I think I got a room that hasn't been worked on yet. It has old carpet and the grout in the bathroom floor is cracked or barely there. The metal toilet paper holder which is supposed to be attached to the bathroom counter keeps falling out. My 4 year old son cut his finger on the metal. The sliding door is hard to open. Our microwave didn't spin. The water pressure wasn't the best. The pool was pretty small, about the size of a home backyard pool, as a size reference. But on the bright side, the beds are better than some I have slept on, the flat screen is at least a 55", pillows aren't too bad if you use two, and the breakfast was good.

This hotel is currently under construction and I feel a little bad for them because their crew is doing a poor job. Paint everywhere, chunks of carpet missing, elevator was down, common area filled with building supplies, smelled weird. The couch had burn stains from smokers. However, the bed was comfy, the room was spacious, it had a small kitchenette with a stove, and nice fixtures (with paint all over them) Excellent view and good location. Not the best place, but not the worst.

This was our first time visiting South Padre Island and staying at this hotel ruined the whole trip. We actually found a dead roach in our refrigerator like other customers, mold in the restroom like other customers, a crack in the tub that pinched my foot while showering, the towels were stained, the sheets smelled like sweat, the a/c rattled during the night just overall bad experience will not stay here again. Front desk staff was polite & quick kl addressed my concerns (nothing major). Nothing fancy but decent. Great sunset view was a bonus.

My wife and I stayed in the king suite for our honeymoon, which was more than the other rooms because of the kitchenette. But we couldn't even use the kitchenette because they don't stock any pots, pans, plates, cups, or utensils. After complaning multiple times, we were given 1 pot, 1 pan, 1 spatula, and told we could use the plastic utensils and paper plates from the breakfast area. The view was excellent, but not worth the service, or lack of.

Want to save money? Come to this hotel. It's nothing special and I was satisfied with my stay. The staff was trying to cheat me by giving me a room I didn't book but it worked out in the end. The AC wasn't cold enough, and the halls were stuffy to the point of being uncomfortable. Would come back unless I needed to save some cash. Has potential, but ehh. 3 stars mang!

This is an amazing hotel! We ONLY stay here when we visit SPI. Great service, and the rooms are very comfy and relaxing, it's a good view from balconies to the bay and its in distance of lots of things.

Their service was terrible. The people at the front desk were trying to cheating us by telling us that rates had gone up and that they were sorry they didn't update our receipt. We already had a reservation too, but they charged us an extra $100 per person calling it a "rate change". They seemed clueless and just wanted more money by tricking their customers. They also messed up our reservation multiple times by giving us wrong dates, a different room from what we reserved and increased the rates. would not recommend this hotel because they are ready to cheat you to make more money.

Bad hotel. My experience is that the rooms are not well sound isolated. There's noises coming from everywhere. The halls, the rooms upstairs, rooms next door so you can hear even a nail drop. That's something you don't get in a good hotel. Wifi service sucks. No strong enough signal. The breakfast is cheap. I will never book here again. If you are a light sleeper dont come here you wont sleep.

We booked our room for Blue Bay Inn on Hotwire so we got it for only $60. My husband and I both think OUR room was worth $60. As for reviews online maybe we got a better room than some? Pros: it was a really big room, clean, AC worked, bathroom was big, nice hardwood floors (fake) so you didn't get sand in the carpet. Cons: the jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, the kitchenette is pretty basic no pan, no utensils, but maybe most motels don't have that we just were at one that did. As far as for the motel, the hallways were super hot and it's just not a super nice motel. We were satisfied with our one night stay tho. We would probably go back if we were trying to save money again.

Will I stay here again… No. That being said it did serve the purpose of the price being reasonable for the last minute booking. This is the kind of place that has the potential of being better. Like replacing light bulbs, putting toppers on posts that are on the balcony, replacing cracked outlet covers so fingers from children don't find there way in the wall… Little things like that. I did appreciate the manager letting me see an alternative room b4 I booked to make sure I'd be satisfied. (That got an extra star. ) The view was cool but the pool was down below so the sounds of pool activity the later hours were something to adjust to.

I just stayed here four days. It is definitely not the Marriott but neither is it a run down hole in the wall. If you are looking for a good moderately priced hotel you can do no wrong.
The front desk staff was attentive and courteous. They were knowledgeable about local attractions. Maid service did a good job cleaning, and to top it all off we had a beautiful ocean view from our balcony. Next time I am on the island I am staying here again.

We enjoyed going over to the Island on Halloween that we are going back over Thanksgiving. Staying with this wonderful place again. Our room was so nice. Looking forward to going and so is my husband. The people there are so nice. Everyone took really good care of us.

Had a reservation and even called a week prior to my stay to make sure everything was ok. The day of check in they ended up downgraded before I came in and after charging my card. The room wasn't even painted and had patches all over walls and no ac. Worst customer service. Had to stay somewhere else.

Things usually never go according to plan for me. Sadly, this has been the story of my life and my trip to the island with my family this past weekend was no exception. But thanks to the excellent service that the professional staff at the Blue Bay Inn & Suites provided, my weekend turned out to be one to remember. The quality of service they offer is truly unmatched by any other. It is at the perfect location with the perfect price and the perfect measure of comfort and style. It is our new home away from home and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay and relax. I am extremely fortunate to have found a place with such a dedicated staff who will always put your best interests first. Thank you all for helping us create memorable moments. A couple of friends and I decided to stay at this place this past spring break because of the low price, and close distance that it was to everything. Little did we know what we're we're getting into. Not only did simple things in our room not work properly, but when we asked and notified the management. They denied everything and said that we must of done the damages ourselves. We also had to ask multiple times for our room to be cleaned every morning. The worst part was that they kept our $200 safety deposit after we had the manager himself inspect our room before we left. I went through weeks of arguing the claim with them and my bank. They did to this to me and several of others from my school that stayed in this hotel during this past spring break. I think they do this every year to students, because of how easy it is for them to not ever have to deal with them. Learn from our mistake, and do not stay here.

I absolutely loved our stay here! We had an awesome view, the personnel was awesome, there are no restrictions when it comes to pets, our Great Dane was welcome and loved it too! Shops and restaurants are close by, beach is right behind the hotel. Returning next month.

Hated it. The new owners are so rude. And when we got here the clerk was on the phone, and couldn't find our reservation. Then gave us an altermatum to stay or to leave and check in at 3. BC our check in was Friday at 3 pm. And we arrived 12 a. M. And never gave us the check in time and never gave us the check out time eather. Woke us up by calling and 30 mins later kept on calling and knocking at the door if we where leaving. There was 4 girls there we take. While to get ready. Dont stay here there rude and cant help u with anything.! on leaving there was a lady who had a reservation and they lost her reservation and wanted to charge her $150 to get her another reservation for the room. There money hungry dont go here at all.

This very bad service, the people who care for you beds do so wanting that do not return, the rooms very badly chuecas not rest, continental breakfast poor refractories where was the cereal were dirty nejos that or wash them, Brown arranged to 2tazas and already, do not put enough, the toaster nadama Serbian one, Lady k put more bread did so reluctantly no hygiene I sincerely do not return nor recommend it, hopefully made changes because I don't think k lasts so long, that day several people went mad for it, in fact us ivan to give an avitacion and not enfriava the air, told the girl and gave us another more face, but how to say no we rested with those crooked beds, and they gave the room to another lady she is complaining the day following and only you revajaron 30 dlls. K ill, if k knew not enfriava the air so rent it. Acavamos go two weeks ago.
