The Wi-Fi doesnt work. The bed was hard. The keys didnt work half the time. The pillows were old and lumpy. The microwave was dirty. The only good thing is that the room itself was clean.

Shity shity service! Both day and night staff was so rude! Did not honor anything. Wifi is free for a few hours and didn't work when I was connected! Tub was dirty and the toilet wobbled! People walking back and forth from the time of 630am when we arrived and at 12pm when. We left. Next time I'll pay the extra $20 for a nicer hotel!

The staff was friendly. The room was clean, but the bathroom door was hard to close and didn't latch all the way. We only stopped and stayed for one night as we were just passing through. They only had 1 towel for each guest staying, I think they should have had at least 2. I am sure they would have given us more if we requested it though. Overall, it served the purpose for us.

Arrived 6 hours early, Accommodated accordingly … Not even charged extra, staff extremely nice, Pool big, Rooms were very clean as well, Not that loud, Great breakfast, Excellent price! Will most definitely stay here again! If I could give more stars I would!

One of the best hotels in Palestine, just be careful leaving, Palestine Police Department likes to harass people when leaving because they assume literally every guest is there for drugs and are too scared to go after any ACTUAL drug dealers.

Great stay for two nights.
Abel took excellent care of our (very) large group for breakfast. He was an excellent host.

First off, the beds are lumpy and uncomfortable. Over my stay of a week there, I did not wake up one morning without my back hurting. There are some very undesirable people it seems living there running around and being loud at all hours of the night. The rooms I've stayed in all have practically no cellular signal, and the free Wi-Fi is very iffy on getting a signal at all. When you do get a signal it is dial up speed slow. The entire place feels like it's right out of the 80s. Some rooms still have the old style televisions. The washer and dryer both were broke and both cost 2 dollars each. Only one ice machine works and it is almost always empty from overuse. The company books this place because it, and the hotel are cheap. I would rather sleep in a tent than there.

Hands Down Best BBQ around! Well worth the $ and the drive to Palestine! Friendly people and Mr. Shep puts huge portions of meat on your plate!

Nice place. A little noisy though. The main thing was the bottom of the tub felt bumpy. It really bothered me and made me feel like it was old and nasty and maybe they just repainted it. Ewww the other annoyance was the bumping and door slammin next door down stairs. I woke up out of my sleep a few times it was so disturbing. I thought someone was trying to break in or maybe fighting outside and I was upstairs. Other than that me and my hubby had a great stay at the express in n @Palestine tx. We missed the darn 6-9am breakfast so if anyone tries it let me know if its good.

Very nice rooms only concern is excessive traffic all hours of the night… I have personally seen people smoking weed and using other parafanela outside the rooms this needs to be moniterd often.

The staff is super friendly and they're quick to answer any questions. It's also really quiet around here so it makes for a nice stay.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. The staff just handed me my keys. No information. Then realized the heater didn't work, the door wouldn't lock and you could hear everyone in next door rooms and outside the door. We ended up leaving and just finishing our drive home. I intend to ask for a refund.

Rooms r nice but because of the hurricane they are going up $20 a night from $56 to 75. Kind of messed up if you ask me.

Nicely remodel very satisfied with my stay great breakfast coffee in the room was nice other than the loud music coming from the pool in the late hours I had good stay.

Placed in room 101 Friday of Father's Day weekend. Air-conditioning unit did NOT work! Rather than being offered to move to a working room… We were given a BOX FAN! A BOX FAN! I have been staying here while in town for over 10+ years! I was beyond disappointed! Not even offered a discount for having to sleep in a hot muggy room! (No refunds) Service has drastically​ gone down! My small children had to sleep in there!

Good accommodation for the budget price. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed. Decent breakfast. Second time here. Will come again.

Loved it my whole entire family comes here for our family reunion for 3 days every year from Houston rooms are great they always change the sheets pillows (etc) I love it and the pool is amazing.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Internet is kinda slow, but other amenities more than make up for this. Pool, Exercise Room, Outdoor Grilling Area and Laundry Facilities.

I travel all over the country and stay at allot of motels. I'm plenty happy with my stay. Decent TV and Wi-Fi. Comfy bed, wish there were fluffier pillows but that's my personal preference. And great water pressure.

Its ok for the money, had an issue with the room, the shower handle was broken, but they did fix it right away. The breakfast was horrible, everything was either stale or rancid, even the waffles did not come out right. The pool was very nice.

I stay at this hotel often. I love how comfy the beds are and how clean the room is. I usually stay in a smoking room because my significantother smokes. I never smell old smoke when walking in. Loveit!

I've stayed there on several occasions over the last 3 yrs and have had positive reviews each time but on this past wknd I experienced bed bugs in room 134, was bitten several times and called the office. They moved me to another which was the same but nicer in my opinion but they turned me off a bit just wanting to change the sheets instead of moving me right away and apologizing for my trouble (which they didn't). I stayed in the same room they moved me to the next night and sleep just fine. Besides that experience I give them positive reviews, their night person just needs better manners and training.

This hotel hosted the dinner service for my father's funeral. It was very nice and everyone was extremely courteous.

Dishonest! I made a reservation on 11/9/11 for the upcoming weekend. The reservation was made through SW and was prepaid. I called the hotel directly within about 1 1/2 hours to cancel the reservation. The clerk on duty pulled up my reservation without my telling him my name. Told me he'd canceled the reservation and there would be no cancellation fees, that I was within the criteria of their cancellation period. I checked my credit card statement and sure enough, I was charged THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE RESERVATION! I called SW and was given another number to call. In the meantime, I called the hotel directly and was told that the cancellation was never recorded. (How convenient! ) So, I called the other number that SW had given me. They in turn called the hotel directly and spoke with the owner who said "nope, sorry, I'm not giving a refund"! Thanks, jerk! Train your people better.
