Had a walk through here earlier in the day before going to the rodeo. It has a good range of shops for folk into western wear (or even horse riding, with one store with a great selection of spurs). Felt a bit touristy when we were there during the day, but had a great atmosphere when we came back for the rodeo and the eating places seemed reasonably priced for a touristy area. Definitely needs to be seen if you're in Fort Worth, though if you're into western wear you will find better prices at other outlets further out of the city.

A must do when in the area. Plan to see the cattle drive, walk up and down exchange street to get a sense of the old west and a time gone by. Stop in the local shops and hotels to cool off and experience how it was in the old days. Check out the Championship Rodeo and see the history and see where the action takes place. Wish I could have planned to attend a rodeo, seems like it would be an awesome experience.

Great place to visit. Check the schedule for things to do but it's better adult time if possible. There are a few bars you can go in to and dance and hear love music in the evening time. Billy Bob's is also here and the kids can get in with you as long as they are with you.

This a great place to have a meal there ate many different options. It was amazing to see the longhorn cattle up close and go in and out of all of the shops. I don't remember how much the fee is to park however it wasn't an unreasonable amount. Overall it's a great experience you won't be disappointed.

Great place to have lunch or dinner in the old country living. Great choices for meals good prices great friendly people. Shop before or after a meal walk around the stockyards watch the cattle call the gun fights ride the old train watch a rodeo at the end of the evening. I will definitely be recommending this historical place and will be back when in Dallas/Fort Worth Area.

Came to visit with family. All went well, until we puchases shaved ice from the snow cone cart on Main St. The girl providing snow cones, needs to be replaced b/c she clearly hates her job. -For starters, she had the serving window closed shut as if the stand was closed. -She was adamant about my family choosing 1 flavor for their snow cone. Even before we placed an order. Although, on the flavor list it states that there’s a 50 cent charge for special snow cones. But whatever! — My cousin dropped the top of snow cone immediately after receiving it! you know how kids are. -politely I asked the girl if she could fix his snow cone, I’d be willing to pay and she said “NO” with an attitude. -Bottom line, this girl is not a people person and should not be working in an environment where kids and families are trying to have a good time. She was wearing orange eyeshadow and has short hair cut (bob style). Beware of her nasty attitude!

So happy to see this place! So many restaurants, bars and cute little shops. I’m on a work trip so I was not able to see all the fun events during the day but I will absolutely be back! Great for guy or gal get always, family get always bachelorette/bachelor get always too! Hyatt is right there so be sure to book with them!

If you want to taste a piece of Old West style, this is the place to go. From visiting historic places or buy mementos in trade-posts to enjoy excellent BBQ or Buffalo burgers. You will find all this there. Don't miss the chance to visit this place if you are in the DFW area. I strongly advice this place to visit with friends and family. Everyone will enjoy it.

I had a great time here. There's so much to do and even more to see. Make sure to watch the walking of the bulls. It was like they were all in a trance, but I was only a few feet away from them as they marched. It was a really cool sight to see. The stores are really cool too, but a little pricey. We went to one of the many steakhouses and the food was amazing!

One of the best places to go on a nice sunny day visit a couple of the bars and a couple of the shops you’ll have a great time. If you could catch when the cattle march down the street is even better. Top it all off with the rodeo show and you’ve experienced Fort Worth.

One can spend a day in this very country western looking place. You can see the Longhorns and pet them. There are some shows involving the cattle. Rodeo is another big attraction. Stockyard Station is very nice, but I wish there were more stores. Overall, if you are looking for a day trip, you can't go wrong with this.

Fun place. I didn't do much unfortunately as it was the day I had to jump on the plane home. However I was able to catch the first cattle herding of the day which was exciting! Several men on horses herding the cattle through the center city street. Very unique experience! Otherwise there were plenty of places to shop for souvenirs! Many of them have similar things but if you shop around, some places sell it cheaper!

Great place to take the family for afternoon outing while in the area. There are several good places to dine, while the kids enjoy mock trail rides through the streets. Definitely a place to check out if you're in town for the rodeo in Jan/Feb.

By far a huge tourist attraction, but it was a nice change of pace from the other sites we had been to in the area. For the effort and crowd, the cattle herd was much smaller than I had anticipated. There were a few souvenir shops as well as some nicer boutiques, but the main restaurants on the strips were just okay.

If you visit Fort Worth and do not stop at the Stockyards then you missed Fort Worth. The old hotel is a must-see and still a functional hotel (check out the famous names in the guest book in the lobby) opened in 1908 and still looks exactly the same. Great dining options including Cattleman's Steakhouse. Outstanding night life, from the massive Billy Bob's (Walker, Texas Ranger clips filmed there) to other small saloons throughout the district. Lots of gift shops and lots of things to see and do for the whole family. This is why they call Fort Worth, the "Gateway to the West". Once you visit the Stockyards you'll understand why. The entire area looks and feels like the old Wild West. Give yourself an entire day to see most of it and definitely grab a room close by if you decide to party at Billy Bob's. You won't want to leave until they kick you out at 2 a. M. Enjoy it, I know we did.

Super fun to walk around. Very touristy in areas, but the bars are fun and you can buy cool things. The leather shop is really neat. You can buy handmade tack. The headstalls and reins are simple and high quality. The record shop is a lot of fun and the owner is very outgoing. We had a great conversation! It's kid friendly too. They even have long horns you can sit on and take a picture on!

Loved the shops but the parking situation could be a little more user friendly. The one across from Riskys and the mechanical bull did not have an attendant and one sign that wasn't easily visible when arriving (seen the box on way out…) no attendant but someone slapped a violation on driver side window for 75$ yeah good luck with that. Other than that an awesome place to visit.

Old Western town feel, with twice daily display of ling Horn cows parading down the street with cowboys in full rancher attire. There's the opportunity to have your picture taken sitting on one for a fee ~$5. Locals are friendly and share tips on where to eat and shop. For customade, high end cowboy boots you can stop on Main Street. Same goes for Western art galleries. Touristy shops are centrally located across from the outdoor human size maze and mechanical bull. Tourism center moved into the museum. Across from the museum they have old cowboy shoot-out reenactments immediately following the cattle drive. Parking for a fee is easy but you can park down the road at the station for free.

Visited for the first time just after Christmas and I think visiting during the holidays is probably the best time. I saw they had a corner for Mrs. Claus to read to the children and they have the whole area decorated really nice especially at night. Check their official website for their holiday plans. You should also visit on either a Friday or Saturday because that’s when they have the rodeo even though there are more people. During the week it is pretty quiet and not much going on. The stores aren’t that great and the prices are high. I think that they can do a better job with the stores they have there. There is an area where they have the longhorns and you can get a better look at the group or for $5 you can climb on one and take a picture. Try H3 Ranch or Billy Bob’s while there along with seeing the cattle drive that happens on a small section of the main road twice a day depending on weather. Overall, it’s a nice visit for families and friends.

I'm local now after 19 years and I bring all of our out of town visitors to see the Stockyards always a great time. We visit often even without guests. Love the shops, the cattle drive. History of it all.

Really enjoyed watching the daily cattle drive through the main street. Happens several times a day, weather permitting. Was absolutely incredible to see, up-close, the sheer magnitude of the longhorn bull as they marched by. I could really feel the history come alive in this town, and would consider it a must-see for tourists visiting the area. You can even jump on a bull and take as many photos as you like for $5 per person. Honestly, it was definitely worth the memories. Lots of interesting shops to peruse. If the weather is agreeable, plan on spending several hours walking around. The steakhouses in the heart of the tourist area are quite pricey, but then again, you can order the best cuts with almost endless options, and you can guarantee that your steak will be cooked properly and exactly the way you ordered it. They definitely know their beef!

It's a cute little town that I recommend visiting if you're in the area! It's just a few blocks and can easily finish walking it all (if you enter all the shops) in about two hours. It's really cute and I enjoyed walking around this area. They also have a cattle drive everyday at 11:30/ 4:00 pm! Make sure to get there on time so you don't miss it. I really thought it was neat and every store felt very Texan and nice little shops for souvenirs etc.

We visited one Monday during the day and there was not much to see apart from the souvenir shops and restaurants.
We were a bit disappointed to have traveled a lot of kilometers just for this visit.

It is a good place to visit and know the customs drumsticks is very nice.

Excellent little day trip. Very Nostalgic. Many things to take in, very beautiful shops and little museums tucked away. Very fun to watch the long horns travel the streets. The cowboys where very pleasant and added wonderful charm while being very informative. The woman on crowd control had a very less then desired attitude and bit of a power trip for some one who is in direct public contact. Her manners where disappointing and rather offensive. Everything else was wonderful.

It is a historic and family place you can eat here and take very good pictures I love the way you dress the people who come here. Never know one that characters can one find.

Cowboy vibe in this very touristy neighborhood, good kid. Not to be missed, the exit of the Longhorns in the main street every day at 17:00 for the pleasure of the tourists. Lasts only about ten minutes, but in my opinion remains the major attraction of the day.
Many shops and restaurants (H3 Ranch excellent), easy parking.

Just horny. Driving Longhorn cattle through the city.
