My hubby had to come to SC on business and I decided to tag along. His company gave him a list of places he could stay and he picked this place. From the minute we checked in I knew we were going to love it here. The people are extremely nice, the property is very clean and the rooms are very spacious. Fast forward 3 weeks and we are back here again. Just when I think our stay couldn't be any better, they pulled out all the stops again! The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the food is very yummy. Monday thru Wednesday nights they offer social hour, again with yummy food and drinks! Hubby has to come back in 3 weeks and will again be staying here. The property is clean and safe. We also enjoyed sitting out on the patio by the fire pit. Staying here made our trip very pleasant.

How this place even has the name Marriott on it is beyond me. Let's start with the section of town it is in and the people who are the regulars there. Watched some shady things happening in the parking lot. This hotel could have been a an episode of Cops. Noise at all times of night. The bathroom in the rooms are garbage. Dimly lit and out dated. We will never stay here again. My suggestion is if you are looking to stay anywhere in the area don't. It's crime central.

Nice hotel in a very busy section of town. You can go anywhere from here.

The hallways or lobby towards rooms were stinking, did complain. Even though I have elite membership was not given water or my gift reward on arrival or even asked. I myself asked for giving me points as reward as per my eligibility. Generally Residence in has great service, was little disappointed here. This time.

The rooms are very nice, and the service is awesome. They offer a great social hour menu. I will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable hotel and friendly staff. Being pretty brand loyal to Marriott is why I stayed here, overall it was a nice experience. As an extended stay property they offer larger, studio style rooms with amenities needed for longer stays. Rooms feature comfortable beds, stove tops, large microwaves, nearly full sized fridges, a dish washer, small dining table, pots, pans, plates and more. Nice breakfast service 7-days a week, complementary snacks and drinks Mon-Wed. A decent sized pool, laundry room, exercise room with free weights and cardio equipment.

Stayed in a suite that had 2 king bedrooms with private bathrooms and shared kitchen and living room. It was comfortable and pretty. It was less than getting 2 adjoining rooms.
Outdoor pool was clean. Tiny, cute putting green. Very friendly staff member Blake saw to our every need cheerfully.
Construction next door but not problem at night. It will be going on for awhile.

Extremely clean, staff welcome you like you are family arriving home, Monday and Tuesday breakfast and dinner served, pets are welcome, very large suites with full kitchen. One of the very best places we have ever stayed even extended our stay without a problem decided to stay extra based on experience here.

The hotel was very small and the staff was not friendly at all, I did not feel welcome during my stay. Also I brought my dog, a 10 lb. Chi. Mix and I did not find out until I got to the hotel that my dog was not allowed to ride in the elevator, he was not allowed to be in the room by himself at any point, and any barking would be cause for us to get kicked out. I still have not found the pet bathroom area so I had to leave the premises for him to use the bathroom. So I couldn't enjoy the town at all because I had to sit with my dog in the hotel, and they charged me an extra NON refundable $100 fee just for having my dog there. I will never stay here again.

We had a party of 5 and this was the only hotel we could find that offered 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is such a bonus having that 2nd bath. This location has the most friendly staff we have ever experienced when we have traveled. They all went over and above in making us feel welcome. This is a reflection of the management of the hotel because they selected high caliber employees. We can't thank you enough for all the thoughtful assistance we received during our stay. Thank-you for everything.

Comfortable rooms, nightly happy hour/snacks on weekdays. Stayed in a studio with a king bed. Decent free internet. Good sized smart TV on a swivel to be viewed from the couch or bed. Complimentary full breakfast. Definitely worth staying.

I have stayed here with my family and church family. Each time it was outstanding. Clean rooms, very helpful and tasty breakfast.

I love Marriott! Always so quick to help and have worked with me multiple times to get a reservation during a quickly planned trip. The staff is extremely helpful and quick to give you a smile! I've been a rewards member for almost eight years and it is a great program with awesome rewards that I would recommend to anyone that travels for business or pleasure. Also check out their rewards credit card. This Residence in particular is very nice, convenient to downtown Charleston without being stuck in that traffic. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available for those that need. Just a great place to stay while you explore all that Charleston has to offer. If you are looking for a family friendly atmosphere with a modern setting, I would highly suggest you check out Residence Inn in North Charleston!

Wonderful as usual. Missed the warm cookies they have at many locations. Nothing like checking in and getting warm cookies! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This is one of the nicer hotels in the area, even though it is a little harder to find from the main road. Everything is clean and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is pretty lackluster compared to other places but it isn't too bad. Not that much variety but at least it's buffet style. As far as rooms go, most of them include your many nice amenities (since this is a residence inn and not Fairfield) including a kitchen/stove, fridge, sink, dining table, etc. Great if you're planning on staying for an extended period of time. There's even a convenient little area with a computer and printer for business work. Definitely saved me a couple of times when I forgot to print something out for work! Theres a bunch of places to eat nearby and plenty of shopping plazas. All in all, A+!

Updated, clean hotel with excellent staff! Very accomodating and friendly staff start your stay off right. The rooms are freshly updated and very clean. 5/5! Would definitely recommend! The breakfast is also better than most complementary breakfast options at other hotels.

Loved the front desk woman she was sickingly sweet — in the good way! Room 311 great set up nice sized mini kitchen.

I have been a corporate traveler for over 8 years staying at Residence Inns, and have never had an issue with getting housekeeping with my cats except I want to be there as the housekeepers prop doors open and I don't want them running out because they are scared. I only get housekeeping once a week on weekends so I can be there to make sure they don't run out the door, and yesterday I asked for someone to try to come early as I only had yesterday off this weekend. At around 11:30 am, I finally called and said I was putting my trash in the hallway and leaving for my one day off so I didn't spend it sitting in a hotel room. I asked for service first thing this morning and finally around 9:45 am (they start at 9 am) the housekeeper and supervisor came to my door and asked if the cats were secured. They run from other people and hide and are not a threat and I only want to make sure they don't run out the door but do not cage them. This has NEVER been an issue in 8 years of staying at Residence Inns, and the housekeeping staff used that as an excuse to refuse me service the ONE DAY a week I ask for it. They did this because I complained about not getting early service yesterday, which I wasn't that upset about, but I sure as hell am now. I will never, EVER stay with Marriott or Residence Inn again. I will be having my company find me an alternative hotel Tuesday. I have enough stress with this temp job without getting a hassle from my hotel.

I am a long time Marriot member and I have never been so disappointed.

Staff with courtesy and friendly they was nice they tended to all my needs and I will stay again and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I have been staying at this property on and off for 4 years! I have had some excellent experiences then I have had some subpar experiences. This review is being written because I have been asking for a day and a half for someone to remove dog feces from the stairwell of the hotel. It has a pungent smell as well. It has yet to be removed. As well as I am still waiting to hear back from the General Manager after waiting a month for a check to replace my retainer that they washe and dryed, even though I had valuables on my bed and stated I didn't want bed cleaning services. I will be finding another property to stay at while visiting Charleston.

Very well located with direct access to Highway to Charleston.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Hotel well equipped and clean.
The only small blemish is due to the proximity to the airfield and the highway is a certain level of noise.

Overall I'm staying here for 49 days. The service here had been really amazing. Love the location being close near the highway, shopping is close by from a mall and outlets. I would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here to view the eclipse. They gave out free glasses and had a viewing party on the front porch. Great service overall. The rooms are clean, modern, homey, and spacious. And they have HBO, for you GOT fans.

We were there for a Family reunion. Although the Sleep Inn was the designated hotel for the Family reunion, we stayed at Residence Inn because we needed the kitchen. The staff was excellent especially the evening staff. The accommodated our every need. Would recommend for families, bridal and girls weekend. Was very disappointed that the pool was not open, however we were offered to use the Fairfield Inn's pool next door. Management team for Residence Inn you should give your weekend staff a big appreciation for the great service they provide during our stay from Thursday thru Sunday.

Stayed here for 4 nights. These people must take customer service classes like every day before starting work. I have never been treated this well in any hotel. They were all so accommodating. Our room was nice and very comfortable.

Clean, modern, friendly staff. Great free managers reception on Tuesdays! Like dinner meal. Served bratwurst with all the trimmings, even roasted onions and peppers, sauerkraut, and homemade potato salad! Fresh fruit, green salad, chips, soda, beer and wine. Impressive! Full hot breakfast in clean facility. 24 hr fitness center and outdoor pool. Just off freeway and close to shopping and restaurants.

4 stars as our rooms were not ready when we arrived, and when we were finally able to enter the room it had an unbearable animal smell. We were given a new room and it was wonderful. Breakfast was the best at any Marriott. Healthy chicken sausage, spinach and greek yogurt available for breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Also got a 4 as there was no hot tub, just a small swimming pool.

The hotel is great, just what you would expect from a Residence Inn. Right from the start the front desk staff was smiling and cheerful upon our arrival, was able to accommodate all our requests and guy is in early to our room. The ribs are fantastic. Kitchen is stocked with what you need. The bed is very comfortable. Just a great room. Overall I'm very happy with this hotel and would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay and if you are in that area I recommend you to stay with them. I definitely will be going back there again.

The best staff n hotel in Charleston… Feels more like home then a hotel! As many times as I've stayed here I have never ever had a bad experience, it has always been 5 star service!

my son and daughter in law. Visiting family in the area. Only disappointment was no pool open to use… but everything else was great.
The Gentleman in charge of the breakfast area was on his game… very well done.
I would definitely recommend… kitchen was up to date and very well appointed.
Beds super comfortable… Staff extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Price was less than 2 hotel rooms anywhere else in the are.
But beware of traffic… Ashley Phosphate is an extremly busy intersect with I-26.

I used to make this hotel my go to hotel when in town, which is 100 days a year, but not so sure I'll be back. The housekeeping issues have been numerous this trip, no towels, no soap and shampoo, and just not cleaning the room at all some days. Patio furniture is getting pretty shabby, many of chairs in the "Mix/breakfast area" are in pretty rough shape. Worst of all, the police are here almost nightly to corral the locals who seem to have decided this is just a place to come hangout when you have nothing better to do. Starting to feel more like Motel 6 than a Residence Inn, which is a shame.

I made a reservation to this hotel and I pacifically ask for a two bedroom suite no handicap standards and I confirmed twice when I arrive they put me in a handicapped room anyway she said in the morning though switch me to a standard two bedroom suite I waited all day they switch me to another room and it smells like ass when I go back to front desk they're mad and frustrated.

Room was clean, the place was quiet, and the staff were friendly. No complaints at all. If I need a room in this area again, I will be back for sure.

The Residence Inn Charleston North location was a fantastic stop after a long day on the road. Immediately upon arrival, I was invited to the Residence Inn MIX. A weekday social hour, offering complimentary food and drink, as well as a chance to mingle with the other guests. The offerings change daily, but the Tuesday I stayed, they had burgers right off the grill as well as a salad bar, also beer/wine/soda. Again, all of this on the house. It's worth noting that the mixer is held in a large, comfortable area right off of the lobby. Ample seating, as well as a large outdoor patio complete with fire pit. Very welcoming and very comfortable. Plenty of staff was on hand to assure guests were taken care of or just to shoot the breeze. Everyone here was so nice! Speaking of staff, the crew here at Residence Inn Charleston North are top-notch. Every person I spoke with from the front desk, to maintenance, housekeeping, and management was pleasant, courteous and helpful. Morning, evening, and even late night. Residence Inn should be especially proud of the staff at this particular location. With all of the fun downstairs (including a pool, fitness room, and Wi-Fi) you might not even want to head to your room. When you do, though, you will be thrilled. I had a very large suite with a full kitchen. Exceptionally clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The main sitting room in the suite offered plenty of seating and workspace.

The hotel was superb, Ms. Robin was a wonderful host and the service was impeccable. Room was one of the nicest I had been in for a while.

I stay at a lot of Residence Inns for business and this one is very nice. I hate that Res Inn stopped the evening dinners from Mon-thurs and started this evening social bull$hit. That was a great benefit that is missed by myself and all those with whom I travel.
