Sad to report that most of the guests do not believe in wearing masks. We had to check out after one night. Could not even think about using the elevator or public spaces as guests without masks were everywhere. I am so disappointed that the hotel is not requiring guests to wear masks. We are in the process of moving our family to the area and I have to say, this is giving me second thoughts.

Nice hotel with excellent view of the ravenel bridge and excellent breakfast selections.

We are returning in July for our third visit. Have enjoyed the two previous visits and are looking forward to our return. Lovely room and convient to good restaurants, downtown and Isle of Palm.

Great value for the money, very nice and the staff is awesome. Clean and modern rooms. You want be disappointed.

The room was large and comfortable. Big enough to sleep 5 of us. The breakfast was good.

Leon was so nice he helped us a family of four get into a hotel that was nice and clean. We previously were in the best western down the street and oh my Lord it was the worst hotel I'd ever seen. The employee was nice and super sweet and tried so hard to make things right. But leon was out of this world we all should have a Leon and we all should have the patience, compassion, love, and heart for what we do. Thank you Leon for the sticky finger suggestion and wow was that place good. You made my bad night turn into something out of an amazing story.

Place is mediocre. We asked to leave early due to an unforeseen death in the family they consented which was nice. Then upon leaving they accused us of smoking and presumed to charge $100 just to get their money back. Shady business. I am a lung physician and my wife is a nurse. We've seen countless people die from smoking would never think of doing such. This is just shallow and pathetic. Do not stay here. Ps we had our two small children. No one with any heart would smoke in a room with children.

Very accommodating. Quick to respond to request. More breakfast options than other places I have stayed. Clean. Quiet. Big rooms. Comfy beds and pillows. Huge bathroom and closet. Bridge is a very short walk away. Patriots Point less than 2 miles away. Be sure to check out local eats!

Room felt clean. Definitely enough space. Parking garage was full when we got in Wednesday night around 10. Great food options nearby and quick drive to beach.

Stayed here for a wedding that was in Charleston. I am a regular guest at Marriott hotels and have stayed in them all over the country. While this hotel is new, it wasn’t what I’ve come to expect from Marriott. The hotel’s design is odd, the pool is small and on the east side of the building. By 1:00 it’s beginning to get shaded so good luck relaxing by the pool to get some sun. The rooms were clean though, and the staff was mostly hospitable. The only issue we really saw with staff was when we came back after the wedding, the gentleman working the front desk was very rude to some of the guests who were standing in the lobby waiting for some friends to return. I would highly recommend staying at the Charleston Marriott on Lockwood over this location if you had the choice.

Nicest hotel I've stayed at. The room was very generous with space and the bathroom was incredible. There is a sitting area off the bedroom area with a table and chair which was very comfortable. Some of the parking is covered. There are dozens of nearby stores and restaurants. Easy access to the Isle of Palms and Sullivans Beach. And, easy to get to the Ravenel Bridge to get back into Charleston. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with a lot of food choices. I will be staying here every time I go back to Charleston.

Looks like a new or newly remodeled building. Rooms are spotless and modern. Beds are plush and sleep great. Service is quick and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, grits and oatmeal is just a little of what they have each day.

I must say that our stay here was great. We kinda waited until the last minute to book and it worked out great. The place was super easy to get too, and in a very convenient area next to just about anything you wanted. When we arrived we walked in and out first thoughts were wow this place smells very nice and clean. We go to the lobby to check in and was greeted by the sweet staff. Once we checked in, we walked around just to look around. Everything we saw was very nice and clean. So we went on to our room. Our room was perfect, we liked everything about it. Then, each morning was free breakfast in the dinning area. We also got to meet the local duck that just wanders around the hotel. Overall we had an amazing stay and want to come back again in the near future. Thanks Marriott for our experience.

Nice hotel. Very well maintained and very clean. We stayed for 2 nights. It's a 10 minute cab ride to downtown Charleston. Rooms are a great size and modern looking. Breakfast is ok.

Best place ever to spend the night. Employees were very accomadating. Breakfast was over the top and always filled in never waited for anything.

Friendly and polite staff. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms. The free breakfast had a good variety. Location was convenient to Charleston area attractions. Very pleasant stay.

This is one of those hotel properties that is kind of tucked away in Mount Pleasant but that is a treat once inside. They are very customer focused and service forward… And it's a hop, skip and a jump from downtown Charleston.

Staff is above and beyond polite and helpful. Room had everything we ever needed. Nice and clean! Having a wonderful stay.

Great new facility, spacious rooms, good breakfast. The only thing is location. Can't really walk to downtown.

Nice place, friendly staff, spacious rooms. Only problem, super HARD pillows. Nice mallard duck hangs out near the doors… friendly!

The room was very nice. Had a king bed very comfortable the pillows were a little hard to sleep on but on the whole very nice room. The breakfast was also good.

I can't say enough how nice this place is for the price! And the breakfast is first rate! The best breakfast we've had complimentary! Eggs were awesome! Kudos to Marriott!

Great modern rooms, super friendly staff that goes above and beyond. Literally every person that works here is incredibly friendly. Christina at the front desk was wonderful. This hotel is doing it right.

Staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were beautifully setup and very modern furnishings! Nice free breakfast too with nice choices.

Absolutely amazing staff. The most accomindating hotel ive stayed at in years. The rooms are well kept. Open modern design was refreshing. And during Hurricane Irma they allow dogs is largest mine which I own a German Shepherd at 120 pounds. And this hotel maintain the best value of any hotel in the area and exceeded every expectation. I would like to thank the staff for such exceptional professionalism displayed during the storm. We have the opportunity to meet almost every staff member during the storm and each and every one took the time to be polite and courteous and continually asked if we needed anything at all. Everyone took pride in what they were doing and it showed.

Wife and I stayed 2 days for a wedding in Charleston. Only 5 minutes from the French quarter of Charleston and maybe 10 minutes to the beach (I cannot remember the name of that nearby island, but it's close). Continental breakfast was good (waffle iron, oatmeal bar, cereal, fruit, breads, etc. ) I would've liked a few more organic options (or at least less items with corn or soy b/c my food allergies) but I can't complain. The room was clean, we had fresh towels each day, and had a good opportunity to relax. Would recommend.

Well located just in the other side of the wonderful modern suspended bridge from downtown Charleston. It takes only 5-10 minutes from the historical sites. The staff members are nice, and the building & room are clean and well maintained.

We stayed at Springfield one night while we were staying in Charleston. I like staying on the Mount Pleasant side near the new Waterfront Park pier. Its a beautiful area to walk around. The hotel is beautiful very modern. There is actually a walk-in closet in the room. We all like the feature that in the bathroom even if there's a hot shower going the center mirror does not steam over. We also like the added security benefit of using your card key to be able to get up to the higher floors so no one was going to enter the place where the rooms were unless they were a guest! The sitting area near the lobbies nice. This would be a perfect place for family get-togethers. The pool is a little on the small side but adequate for guest to enjoy. Breakfast was outstanding grits eggs sausage waffles oatmeal fruit. I must say that the customer service from the front desk to the lady helping with breakfast or super sweet and very friendly. The lady who sets out breakfast even though she had put everything away went and got me an extra banana for the road because I was having leg cramps from driving so long. That was very sweet! I will definitely stay here and my next trip to Charleston or Mount Pleasant.

So far, so great! Haven't been here long but so far, my experience has been great. My room is large, clean and stylish. The use of technology adds another layer of security and convenience — enjoying my stay.

Only place we will stay when we are in Charleston. Absolutely loved everything about our stay. The room was perfect, the view amazing, breakfast bar was hot and was always full. We have stayed at other places since we moved to SC 13 years ago and have now found out permanent place to stay.

These Suites are located just outside Charleston SC and ideal spot for a holiday with a difference. 10 minutes from Downtown Charleston and within easy reach of rural South Carolina. The suite are very comfortable, light and well serviced. Would highly recommend and would like to go back tomorrow.

The room was great, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning was perfect and quick to grab and go on my way to classes. My only complaint was the size of the pool. I was looking forward to enjoying the pool after long days in class but to my dismay the pool was extremely small. Put 3-4 kids in there (which there was every evening I returned home from class) and it was already crowded. I've been in hot tubs larger than this pool. If you are looking for a nice room with updated decor and friendly staff you are in the right place however if the pool is at all important to you in the hot Charleston weather, you may want to keep looking.

Great Hotel in a Great Location! I love that I've found my go-to hotel for the Mount Pleasant/Charleston area now, and I won't have to search any further. New, clean, fresh, no negatives whatsoever! Great staff as well!

Great hotel! Clean rooms that are above average in size. Easy access to Patriots point, and a short walk to Whole Foods. No need to rent a car either as you can walk or Uber around easily.

This is a fairly new SpringHill Suites. It uses the layout with the sliding bathroom door. The room was comfortable, and the staff seemed friendly. The hotel is located minutes from Patriots Point.

Beautiful suites, very cozy and quiet! Easy in and out due to being off of the beaten path in Mount Pleasant. Close enough to enjoy downtown Charleston, Isle of Palms, or Sullivan's Island.

Great hotel, very comfortable stay! The bathroom was spacious enough for 3 adults to comfortably use the sink and counter space. The beds and pillows we perfect. It's definitely the best 3 or 4 star hotel we've stayed at in a long time. If you're looking for somewhere comfortable to stay while you're in the Charleston area, then this is the place! Even the staff was great! The hot breakfast was good and the staff did their best to keep the area tidy. The outdoor pool is really small but the beach is so close it doesn't really matter. The laundry room is one washer & dryer but they only cost $1/each which is cheaper than the laundromat & much safer. You have to have a hotel room key to access floors above the lobby & the laundry room. I felt very safe on the premises and the nearby area is family friendly. My family, which includes 3 teenages, will definitely stay here again. Checkout Page's Okra Grill during your stay for a casual country dinner that's filling and nearby.

I thought it was a good place to stay. Convient to all of the Charleston area. Killer breakfast bar. Don't have to fight traffic to get in or out. Clean and friendly plus some covered parking. Overall I thought it was great and price wise wasn't out of line considering the area. We will probably be staying there again.
