Excellent service from bellmen to cleaning staff, all very friendly. Especially appreciated Anna’s service and helpfulness from the front desk.

Market Pavillion exceeded our expectations. Customer service was excellent and I can't say enough about the comfort of the bed and pillows, heavenly! the concierge was knowledgeable. We will definitely return.

It's clear that their main goal is to provide outstanding customer service. They go above and beyond to make you feel as though they know you and you matter. A lot of thought has been given to Covid safety measures. Grill 225 is my favorite place to dine. The rooftop bar around the pool has heaters to keep it enjoyable even the winter.

Market Pavilion has made a wonderful addition with its easy access cafe and gelato bar. The kids and I had a wonderful afternoon strolling down market street and then topped it off with some authentic gelato. So good!

This hotel is our go to place when visiting Charleston. A beautifully appointed well and staffed location in the heart of this historic City. The rooftop bar is a wonderful place to enjoy a cocktail and bite to eat while enjoying the view of the harbour. A friendly and professional staff makes staying here effortless. The restaurant is an excellent place to have a great steak with impeccable service and lovely decor.

We had a lovely anniversary here. The staff is incredibly helpful and courteous and we loved all of the little touches. The location is prime and the rooftop pool is beautiful and great for cooling off after a hot day.

We were on search of a rooftop bar & stumbled upon this establishment. Enjoyed he view & cocktails.

This hotel was amazing, my husband and I went down for our honeymoon. The food was fantastic. Also they were very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous hotel and views. We could see our carnival ship pulling into the bay.

The rooftop bar is fabulous, the cocktails amazing, the pool and decor wonderful. And the views fantasticI live in Charleston part time and always take my visitors there for the wow factor they are never disappointed. The staff up there are aways helpful and friendly even when busy.
Just an aside one rainy afternoon four of us went to the first floor bar for a cocktail or two. The waiter was arrogant, aloof and behaved as if he was doint the riffraff a favour by serving us. Apart from that little blip the bar is stunning with it's wood panneling and chandeliers and the Nitrotinis absolutely fantastic. Let us hope the next time we go this particular waiter has left (he is the only one in Charleston and Islands that I have come across with this attitude). We will certainly be coming again when I come back to Charleston.

Had drinks at the bar and listened to Saturday night jazz. The band was fantastic and the bar is beautiful. Can't vouch for the food or the hotel, but we had a great time here.

Great place to stay! Good location, roof top bar and pool. Great bed linen and towels, tea and coffee available outside your room from morning into the evening. Staff was friendly.

I'm sorry but I dont see the hype in this hotel. Location might be good as far as I see. The hotel doesn't have enough parking in their valet area for pickup trucks. They have 3 spots and once they're gone your screwed even if your a guest at this hotel. Not only that but if they did have a spot for you its $50.00 a day because trucks take up two of their spots. That's not on their web site. Their website should tell you to bring a car. Needless to say it worked out because I really didn't want the valet to drive my $80 grand truck anyway. It's the point of it all. So parking is down the block around the corner to the left or right in a city parking garage. Glad I have insurance. We will see what the day brings but as far as the first impression of this hotel. I've stayed at many others that are far better for less with much more pleasant personnel. Hope the atmosphere improves. I sure hope Charlston, as a place, has more to offer then what I've seen thus far with this hotel. The experience is mediocre at best to this point.

Great hotel, very clean, very courteous staff. The most valuable asset… MIKE THE BARTENDER. Would recommend 10/10 of the time; he made my mother and I feel like VIP our entire stay.

We stayed in a junior suite. The bed was a great size and the view was great. My only complaint is there was no mini fridge and you had to have a valet walk you to your car anytime you needed something. The room was clean as well as the bathroom.

I came to the roof top bar for a drink, and was delighted by the charm. Spacious, and looks down on King Street. There's a pool, and chaises surrounding it that are reserved for overnight guests only. The service was about average, but it's a nice place for a drink after dinner.

Staff and room were top notch. Mike, the bartender downstairs is as good as it gets. We'll definitely miss chatting with him. Suzanne, the concierge was great and helped us with numerous reservations, including the gospel brunch at Halls Chophouse. Viva, the manager was always smiling and super friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Had approximately 35 people in from all over the country to have drinks at the bar before our cruise where my daughter is getting married. It was a special occasion and I have never met more rude people at the front. Honestly, one person infuriated me to the point if I didn't leave and it wasn't going to be good. I live in the Columbia area and come to Charleston all the time with family and to see clients and I will let everyone know just how rude people are there. I've never been more pissed with a restaurant/bar experience in my entire life.

Stayed there many, many times. Best hotel in Charleston. Favorite restaurant. Fantastic staff, beautiful hotel. Great food at Grille with wonderful service, (shout out to Greg). Look for ward to our next visit.

Beautiful hotel and rooms… Great restaurant on premises and really nice rooftop pool and bar. Won't stay anywhere else in Charleston.

Been to Charleston many times and this is arguably the best hotel. Our family loved the location, the building, and the added services like fresh coffee constantly brewing right outside our room. The restaurant is also outstanding, if not the best we've ever been to.

Here are the issues we had with this hotel… 1. Housekeeping woke us up at 9am, check out is at 12pm 2. Lukewarm showers for myself and my wife… Not fun. 3. Overcharged! Quoted one price, they tried to charge me $100 more. Absolutely unacceptable! And the worse part… No management on duty. What?

Lovely hotel in down town area, in an old colonial ‘Charleston style’. The location is perfect and all main sights are well within walking distance. One small side note: The breakfast wasn’t anything special.

Baby friendly and impeccable service. Great housekeeping and breakfast/snacks. We loved our stay.

We had a decadent lunch here the day we were married. This is a dressy restaurant, and it is expensive. Easily the best steak I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Beats that famous chain nearby by a mile!

The roof top has one of the best views in downtown Charleston. Great vantage point to enjoy sunsets. Priced accordingly.

We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Grill 225. The food was delicious and great service as well. I recommend to try one of the Nitrotinis.

The best luxury hotel in Charleston period. Perfect location on the corner of East Bay and Market — walking distance to fabulous downtown dining, shopping and historic sites. Rooms are perfection from the fluffy beds to the amenities, gorgeous bathrooms and views. Owned by a local family with deep ties to hospitality, the commitment to genuine service is evident throughout interactions with all staff. Oh! And the rooftop pool where you can enjoy a nightcap and city views! The crown jewel of downtown Charleston.

Rooftop pool is amazing. The rooms are beautiful. Stayed on the top floor, the concierge level and the service was incredible. Great breakfast with everything you could want. Wine and snacks served at 4PM is a nice touch and a great way to relax before the nights events! The entry way is very beautiful and inviting.

Not a bad place. Like the view. Service was ok. Ordered a few round of drinks and was asked later on to put a credit card on file because people have been walking out on them all night. Not mad about that but why weren't we asked earlier for the card. And no one else who's table she served were asked the same thing. Just felt uncomfortable and don't plan to return.

Very nice atmosphere, live jazz, decor was classy. Drinks were way over priced! Their signature drinks involve liquid nitrogen being added for a cool smokey effect and they are super cold. While I understand paying extra for this, don't charge $19 for a well liquor martini… It wasn't that cool. The bartenders were nice but I felt like what I said to them was going in one ear and out the other. Overall, I would not recommend it to friends.

The people were nice, and, while the drinks were good, they're crazy expensive for what you get. If a bar serves $17 — $19 cocktails, I should not have to request a better base liquor than what they offer. And no drink should be made with Smirnoff. That said, the atmosphere is great, and the jazz band did a good job.

Had dinner, service was excellent the food was also fantastic a great deal during restaurant week. Especially enjoyed the chocolate mousse dessert. One of the top ten restaurants in Charleston.

Didn't stay at hotel, only went to bar on rooftop, which is amazing. Beautiful view from several stories up. They have a pool, but am unsure if it can be used by non-residents. Cocktail prices were about normal to cheaper for the area. Place appears to be a popular hangout, so tables will be hard to find. Well worth a stop for the view alone.

Had my birthday luncheon at their Grill 225 which is an elegant dining experience with the wood paneled walls and classic interior. Good selections and food were excellent. Next is to enjoy their rooftop terrace!

Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful from start to finish. The room was absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had a gorgeous vanity, spacious step in shower, and my absolute favorite part of the whole trip — the jacuzzi. Complimentary adult beverages and horderves from 6-8. Great location right beside some fantastic restaurants, the market, battery park, and some beautiful homes. We highly enjoyed our stay.

Stop looking around and just book this hotel now. My wife and I booked this fairly last minute for a one night getaway and just couldn't get over how amazing the hotel was. It's a 50 room boutique hotel that just wows you at every turn. From the champagne at check-in, to the free city bikes, to the wine and cheese service to the dessert and port, only to be topped off by an impressive breakfast. The amenities are unlike anywhere we've stayed and our room was massive. We booked the basic room, but it had to be over 400 sq ft with 10-12 foot ceilings that made it feel every bigger.

Stayed here for just under a week and have zero bad things to say! The staff were friendly and the service was tremendous. Pair all that with some exceptional food and location and you have the state of the art establishment we know as the Market Pavilion.

Gorgeous hotel. The rooftop bar alone is a reason to stay great service, delicious food and a beautiful view of Charleston! The room has cute southern charm with a little Juliet balcony.

It's a beautiful hotel in a great location, but the staff is less than friendly. This includes the bellmen, the front desk, the cleaning crew, and especially the bartenders on the rooftop bar. Would search out somewhere where I knew I was going to be treated well if I had to do this again.

Every time I come to Charleston the Rooftop Bar at the Pavilion is a "Have to Go" and this time was no exception. The view is extraordinary, the drinks are cold and the two bartenders are always a pleasure. Can't really decide which keeps me coming back but I do know that as long as Dave and Jr. Are there I will be back.

We've stayed at the Market Pavilion 3 times now, and every time is a true pleasure. The location can't be beat, the accommodations are beautiful, staff is very pleasant and helpful, and the food at the downstairs restaurant is out of this world. About a week after our first stay, we found ourselves stranded in Charleston for a night because the flights after our cruise were cancelled. We called the hotel at 6:30a while getting back into port and asked if they could help us — they set us up with a room within 30 minutes and there was no charge for our — very — early check in. We found ourselves eating dinner at Grille 225 downstairs almost every night we were in town and have a new favorite side dish at home — the tomatoes with spinach from the menu is one of our go-to's. Our next stay was over Thanksgiving 2012 and the food was PHENOMENAL. We didn't know what to expect with a holiday buffet, but it did not disappoint. The food was every bit as good as when you're there with regular table service. We came back for dinner the next night and as thanks for coming back our sweet waitress presented us with a bottle of champagne. It was a gesture that wasn't expected or needed — we were already hooked on the service at that point — but it was appreciated regardless.

This is an excellent luxury hotel. The 225 grill, located in the lobby, is top of the line in service and the food is the best I've had in Charleston. If you are looking to be treated like royalty, look no further. This is it.
