I want to Highly recommend Fulton Lane Inn in Charleston, SC. Our room is amazing with a living room, hall way, bathroom and bedroom. It’s absolutely quaint and beautiful. When I registered for the hotel room, it asked if there was a celebration. Of course I mentioned it is our 44th anniversary. Today we walked in from touring to a bottle of champagne in our room. They have a Continental breakfast they bring to your room, have wine and cheese from 5 to 6pm, and Sherry later that night. The staff is friendly, helpful and absolutely delightful! I highly recommend the Fulton Lane Inn. Therese.

What a lovely little hotel, perfectly located!

Love this place! Very quant. We received an upgrade when we checked in due to a cancellation. Super friendly staff. Room had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, king’s street view, complementary continental room service breakfast that you choose, wine reception and cherry in the evening and complimentary bottled water in the lobby every time you walk through the door. We will be back.

My husband and I recently stayed at Fulton Lane Inn for our honeymoon. We were highly impressed with the location and feel of the property. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. Everything was so clean and well kept. I would highly recommend Fulton Lane Inn for anyone wanting to fully experience fine southern hospitality.

Complimentary breakfast delivered to room, VERY CLEAN, very nice. Way bigger than it first seems once you get on your floor. Beds are amazing and comfortable and its right downtown close to everything. Will stay here again.

OMG — this is the best place we have ever stayed. The room with the canopy bed and fireplace is beautiful but these young people handling the front desk are phenomenal! Thank you Ivan and Alexis — you two made our visit so much more enjoyable with your knowledge of the city and your lovely friendliness to two visitors celebrating their 40 Anniversary!

The inn is an excellent place to stay! Stayed here as a part of our honeymoon in Charleston and the inn made our trip just that much more special. Beautiful room, great charm, and everyone was very friendly!

Cute little Boutique Hotel in the middle of Old Town Charleston. Walking distance to all kinds of shops and restaurants. Hotel staff has been very friendly and helpful to figure out what type of day trips we would like to take.

What a wonderful stay we had right in the heart of Downtown Charleston! We encountered the lovely staff and were greeted so graciously. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese at 5:00 and then the next morning had our continental breakfast in our room. The room was beautifully appointed and the king sized bed was so comfortable I hardly wanted to get out of it! I would recommend this wonderful Inn to everyone.

This is our second stay at the Fulton Lane Inn. It's a quaint inn with a good location, nestled just below N Kings which keeps it a bit quieter. The hotel staff are very accommodating and pleasant, they offer free bottles of ice cold water, and a wine and cheese reception with sherry available at night. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but that goes with the old southern charm, if that's what you're into. The windows are very thin so expect to be awake by 7:30 every morning.

Great Great few days there. The location is great, the fare was reasonable for the area and the room was charming. The bathroom had been redone and everything was super clean. The complementary breakfast was great call him tonight before you pick everything you want for the next day with the quantities and they bring it to you at no charge. It was delightful to start the day like this. And at night you can walk next-door for a complimentary wine taste around the charming fountain. Will definitely come back.

Nice place at a good central downtown location. The staff was very helpful. On the negative side the Wi-Fi was kind of weak and some sounds would travel well through the building. Somewhere there was a piano someone kept playing with.

We stay here every time we visit Charleston, which is at least 3 times a year. We have yet to have a bad experience. The rooms are spacious, and the suites with pullout sofas are perfect for our toddler to have his own space. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful for dining suggestions. Wine and cheese hour is a great touch and one of the staff members even went (unasked) and brought our 2 year old orange slices to snack on while we enjoyed the wine. The location couldn't be more convenient — surrounded by dining and shopping — allowing us to walk everywhere! We recommend the inn to everyone considering a visit to this beautiful city.

For an expensive stay, I was not impressed at all by the run down threadbare room, barely big enough for a tiny table to eat breakfast on. We also left something in the room when we checked out. I called less than 3 hours later to tell them we had forgotten it and would be back to get it. When we got there, she told me housekeeping "must have" thrown it out! We didn't even get a call to tell us we had left something behind. I've hotels ship me back my pillow for goodness sake! I also was not impressed at the confusion when checking in and out and, while they did their jobs I guess, the people at the check in desk were really rather snooty. : (I would not choose to stay here again.

Very nice clean rooms. The staff friendly, disappointing morning room service. If you stay there go out to their sister hotel next door for the free breakfast, don't order to the room as they suggest. At King George they make it right, warmed pastries, HOT coffee, nice atmosphere. By the way, you do pay $14 per day for parking. That was a gotcha we didn't know about at checkout.

Nice change from large hotel chains. Loved how it's tucked away but still right on the main strip. Friendly, informative staff. Clean and spacious. Continental breakfast brought to your room. Exudes the historic charm that is the heart of Charleston!

By far the best place ive stayed downtown. This bed and breakfast is on the top of my list. Fireplace in the room and a hot breakfast delivered to our room at your desired time. A must stay.

We had no idea how much we would love this place until we were there. The inn is basically the upper level of several buildings combined into an "Inn" but the only place you really feel like it is a "faux" in is in the hallways otherwise if you are in the lobby or in your room you feel the character it is meant to give you. We loved our room and could not have been more pleased. The price was very fair compared to other inns in the area. The location was perfect for walking to all of the historic downtown areas Charleston has to offer. Parking is right behind the building. The room service of morning breakfast was such a great added element and worth having. We loved it and would recommend Fulton Lane Inn to anyone wanting to experience Charleston in a historic way.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Not all have canopies. Friendly staff, free alcohol in evenings, complimentary bottled water in lobby. Nice continental breakfast delivered to your room. Close to everything, good parking.

My fiancé and I visited the Fulton Lane Inn for his birthday getaway, and it was everything we wanted and more in a hotel room. We had a petite suite on the second floor overlooking King Street, with beautiful, high ceilings and comfortable furniture. This room came equipped with a large jacuzzi which was clean and easy to use, as well, which was a great luxury to have. On top of a beautiful room central to the downtown area, the Fulton Lane Inn offered small breakfast options to have delivered to the room, each morning, and this was carried out smoothly and professionally — they even call ahead of time to give a couple-minute warning on the delivery. In general, the staff was kind and so accommodating, and worked like a well-oiled machine. I would stay here again and again for the beautiful charm and excellent customer service.

We enjoyed everything about Fulton Lane Inn. The room was very nice, clean, and spacious and very friendly staff. They had free happy hour and breakfast. Breakfast wasnt anything special though. Great location near shopping and restaurants on market and King st. All for a great price compared to other near by places.

We stayed for our 10th Anniversary. We absolutely loved the Inn, it is such a hidden gem in Charleston! The staff was great, very professional and knowledgeable! Thanks for a wonderful downtown experience!

The most charming and wonderful Inn in Charleston! The room was spectacular — that perfect mix of modern and beautiful bathroom with the historic feeling canopy over the most comfortable bed! The wine and cheese hour was so much fun, and the staff and service are amazing! Carolyn, the manager, Miss Susu and Alexis, the concierges, were all so kind, wonderful and helpful during our stay! And the location cannot be beat, right downtown and a walk to the best food, shopping and attractions the city has to offer! A must stay if you're visiting Charleston!

I found Fulton Lane Inn through Charleston's city website. My fiancé and I visited for Memorial Day weekend. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The Inn has a wonderful location in walking distance to a number of great bars, restaurants and attractions. Additionally they serve wine and cheese and sherry nightly. You can take breakfast in your room every morning which was our favorite part, and we were given a gift certificate to Circa 1886 restaurant as part of our package. I would recommend this place to any couples visiting Charleston!

Excellent service, perfect "Charleston feel" room. Large updated bathroom and everything was spotless.

This was my second time staying at the Fulton Lane Inn and I was pleased to see that it was consistent with my first visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with excellent bedding. The high ceilings and large windows really add to the ambience. This is definitely a great choice for a romantic getaway. The location is on lower King and is conveniently within walking distance to anywhere in the heart of downtown.

Great location however better lodging experiences nearby. Rm 225 the worst — bed squeaks just touching it and read other complaints as such. Arrived too late after being out otherwise would have demanded another room. Make sure to see your room first and check the bed prior. Very discomfort and toss turn all night no sleep before long flight. The springs were So worn u sink in bed lol. I really feel bad for other guest nearby having to deal with it as well. I will add the manager the next morning did a great job coming to the room so I can show her and getting me another room to get some last min rest before long travel back to nyc. I realize I have prior back issues but no one stays at a hotel for the mattress to be DONE. This hotel MUST spend money on mattresses throughout Bc the next room was better and I was not about to continue to complain. I really enjoyed the wine/cheese/salsa informal reception. That staff at this event was nice and had a nice selection of wine. That's about it. After reading prior reviews then experience myself would fairly not recommend just based off value. — come on people deserve a night sleep staying in a hotel (that's basic necessity). Once new mattresses then I can fairly recommend.

Bed bugs do bite. Don't stay here. I came back to my room and a nice cockroach looking bug was crawling on the wall near the head board. I call the front desk but only a sweet old lady was there so not a lot she could do. So I just went with it and slept in the room. I woke up with a nasty bug bite on my arm. After I paid for my stay, I informed the guy at the front desk there was a bug in my room and that I woke up with a bug bite. He was incredibly rude and just an all around terrible human being. He was making an asinine that its a tropical climate and there are going to be bugs. Bugs are in many climates and much better hotels don't have cockroach looking bugs crawling on the walls. Then when I told him how rude he was being to a paying customer, he threatened to call the police. Again terrible human being. Bottom line, don't stay at the Fulton Lane Inn.

I guess you are mostly paying for the location, which is great. But for the price I expected a little more quality. They didn't look at our reservation requests and see that it was our honeymoon until we were checking in. So they brought the champagne after we were already in the room, a little awkward for us and the maid. They really needed to paint, but I think they might have been starting to work on that. Looked like the base boards hadn't been painted in many years. The jacuzzi tub was nice, but when I wiped it with a bleach wipe (something I do before I take a bubble bath even in my own home) it was fairly soiled. So they had not cleaned it between guests. There was also a splattered blood stain in the carpet in front of our door. (I'm an RN I know blood when I see it). The breakfast was great, they bring it to your room at a time you choose. Also the wine and cheese hour and sherry at nighttime were nice. It's a very pretty location and parking was easy, but its an extra fee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was nice, high ceilings and pretty furnishings. Overall I enjoyed our stay, but felt like I should have payed a lot less for what I got. Not necessarily disappointed with stay, but probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend or go back. Just so you know the type of person reviewing. I usually stay in modest hotels, nothing too fancy. The only other super nice place I've stayed is Sandals one time.

The location is great. Nice amenities in the room (jacuzzi tub and fireplace). But for the price id like to see nicer furniture and a better bed. Ours was an old spring mattress that didn't have much padding or support. I'd only recommend this for the location, other than that we'll find somewhere else to stay next time.

We stayed two nights. It has a great location. It has great parking (spots are a little small). The staff was warm, welcoming and informative. The evening wine, cheese, and sherry were very nice touches. The delivery of breakfast was also a bonus. We can't wait to go back.
