It only gets 4 stars bc they didnt have cookies and when they finally put them out they were hard and old. Blanket for pullout bed were not washed and daily upkeep of the room was lazy. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was a good selection and tasty. Nice coffee and iced coffee too. Located close to good food selections. Over all great hotel for a good price!

So far my stay has been great. The front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. The room is clean and well kept. The location is a pretty decent too. Just a short drive to downtown Charleston. There are lots of restaurants nearby if you do not want to make the drive into Charleston for a meal. If you are looking for a hotel outside the main part of Charleston then this is a great option.

Spent two wonderful nights here. Attentive staff at the front desk. Fixin’s for iced coffee out all day — a new treat just instituted. Breakfast of eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, grits bar, oatmeal, etc, etc, Laid out with meticulous care. Generous size suite. Handicap accessible was thoughtfully designed (except for a normal tub — extra grab bars didn’t really make getting in and out truly possible).

Rooms nice, very clean. Pool needed cleaning but not from dirt but parents who allowed kids to tear foam and leave it and glow bracelets in pool. Courteous staff. Nice continental breakfast. Close to everything.

Staff is very friendly,, room was very nice. Spacious, beds comfortable, kitchen, whirlpool in huge bathroom. But today not clean,,. Kitchen was dirty, bathroom had hairs, shower doors filthy, whirlpool had scum in it. Room dusty. Fingerprints all over glass/wood room divider in living room. And our room never got serviced. We were gone all day from7am until 2:15. Told manager, housekeeping was still working but,,, no one ever showed up. I had to go out and buy cleaning supplies. Then changed beds myself.

This hotel is Wonderfull and I would highly recommend it. The staff was so nice. The pool was clean and amazing. The rooms are so clean and spacious. And there briefest was wonderful. I would deftly go here and the prices are low.

This hotel stay was awesome and affordable. Our room was kept clean always! Everyone was very friendly and courteous. The free breakfast was great. Will definitely stay again when visiting Charleston.

They were very accommodating. We had toake last minute changes and the staff made it so easy. The room was clean and the facilities we're comfortable. The breakfast was great and they make very good coffee. Great staff!

I would definitely stay here again. The cleanest and courteous motel stay out of town that I booked blindly online and have never been happier.

For a 3 star hotel it met all expectations. Great breakfast buffet and the attendants worked hard to keep things stocked. The room was clean and everything worked well. Shower was even more than expected. The only drawback is there is only one way in and out as it is located off of a highway surrounded by three roads and no other business or buildings. But a great place to start otherwise.

Such a nice visit! Got up after a very cozy night's sleep and walked down stairs only to be greeted not once but twice by two super sweet ladies in the lobby and breakfast area. Enjoyed the free breakfast and a long dip in the indoor pool. Both days we were wonderfully surprised by how pleasant the staff is at this hotel. Encountered the cleaning ladies today with a quiet tap on the door and was greeted with a warm and kind smile. The supervisor check in on us in the pool area to make sure we had everything we needed. Nice to see in this day and age. Thanks for making our days here better ladies!

Very nice place. Awesome customer service. Very clean and spacious rooms. It's clean everywhere. Ample parking and shopping and dining close by. I recommend.

Stayed here during my stay in Charleston. Top floor was very quite. God central location to many various things. Over the cleanliness was. Very good. They also have an indoor pool which was nice because I have very active children. The pool is max 4 1/2 feet deep. Shallow end is 3 ft. They offer breakfast to guests. Standard hotel fair eggs, protein, oatmeal, waffles, muffins, fruit.

Well booked because of good ratings and location, but now am regretting it thoroughly. Got stuck in traffic coming down and was a few hours late and called twice to let front desk know we would be late and what our new arrival time would be. So it was a surprise when we see the charge appear on our card when we were planning on paying in cash. We arrive and are given the wrong room (reserved two beds and only got one) and had to go back down and get another room key. The new room was clean enough and big. That is until we got back to the room our second night when we come back to find that our beds were not made, no shampoo or conditioner was replenished, we got one new towel, and yet the lights were on when we got back. We call to ask why nothing was done and the excuse was that they were short staffed. If I pay for a hotel room I expect the very basics at the least done. And then I call for towels and shamoo/conditioner and am told I have to come down and get it myself. Absolutely horrible experience.

A very comfortable overnight stay. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Would recommend for any visitors.

I stayed overnight in a room that fit six with a hot tub in the bathroom. It was an amazing room. It was really huge and had 2 TVs, a fully stocked kitchen complete with utensils and pots and pans. My favorite part was the jacuuzi hot tub which was huge, clean, and luxurious experience. The entire bathroom was pretty big and has a nice shower and two sinks.

I would give this hotel a 5 star but issues with the mattress prevents me from doing so. The beds are worn out and mattress toppers have been added to conceal this. I ended up having to sleep on the small love seat in the room. If you have back issues, or can not tolerate an extremely soft mattress where you sink with your weight, this is not the hotel for you.

Generally, this is a great hotel where you can stay very comfortably for a reasonable price. Our room had a large, comfortable hot tub and a bathroom with ample counter space, both of which were shining when we arrived. Unfortunately, the sheets on our bed looked questionably clean, and the check-in process was a bit awkward (three employees up at the desk and not one acknowledged us standing there for a good few minutes? Hm). But, the desk staff was very kind for the rest of the stay, so I'm willing to wager that this sort of iffy moment isn't one everyone will experience. Still — when you're finding odd stains on the bed, some intervention is in order there. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was the very basic fare — scrambled eggs, sausage, DIY waffles/pancakes, plus all the bread/fruit/cereal/beverage options you'd think to expect. Tasty and easy enough! Overall, I'd recommend… but do be vigilant about your room.

The first night there lady at the front desk was very nice and was patient with us once we got the room and settle in was very nice. The very next day BREAKFAST OK NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY, I asked for my room to be cleaned she charged me a 150 fee for smoking because my room smelled like weed I asked to the manager she was very rude and wouldn't cooperate with my demands I had to call the police and they racist ass escorted me and my husband out leaving us stranded until the dispute was over don't come here to this hotel especially don't come to west trashley.

We booked a room for a friend's wedding. We requested a king sized bed and a two person hot tub. The service was great and we got the hot tub, but our room has two full size beds instead of a king. Would have been five stars if not for that. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Room was great, prices are fair and good location. Very clean and great amenities. We were in town for a Doctor's appointment and needed a place for one night. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we will return on future trips!

Fantastic location right off highway, beautiful room, very big. Beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast pretty good. Staff ok but not the friendliest we encountered sofar.

Our first night in Charleston was the Motel 6 next door so after staying at Motel 6, Comfort Suites was the height of luxury for not much more and what you get. Spacious rooms, clean linens, non smoking throughout, lemon water and great coffee 24 hours a day, good breakfast, iron and ironing board in room, one cup coffee pot in room, and shower tubs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, modern, spacious queen suite. Enjoyed the whirlpool. Nice amenities with Wi-Fi, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Room had a safe and an iron and ironing board in the closet. Good complimentary breakfast. Would've given a 5 star if not for a check-in issue.

What a bad experience and we have just arrived!   The receptionist is not pleasant. We get to the room and want to turn the television on. The remote is not functioning properly because it is taped together. We asked for another one and the new one was also taped together.   We go out to dinner and when we return the parking lot is full! There are not enough spaces for the number of people here. People are parking were there are no parking spots making it even more difficult to move around an already tight lot. The parking lot is too tight in spots for more than one car to comfortably drive. I called while in parking lot to ask where we should park and I was told to park across the street. Mind you, my family would have to walk across a 4 lane highway to get back to the hotel. I am also, not willing to leave my car in a vacant plaza parking lot for the night. After about 30 minutes we finally get a parking spot. We asked for a refund and were told we could not get one because we booked online. We then asked to speak to a manager and was told they would not be available until the morning.   We get to the room and my son needs to shower and the tub will not drain. He had to shower with water filling as he bathed. I can't imagine what the morning will be like. After writing this review, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. I used the room coffee pot to heat water for tea and there were black chunks in the bottom if the water.

Very nice place to stay. Just a coupla issues need to be addressed. Communication about linen/towel/replacement policy and the TV needs to be replaced in our room.

I was very impressed with how large my room was. It had a good feel and I slept great. Breakfast with tasty oatmeal and yogurt — which is what I ate, was delicious. If I ever go to Charleston for a doctor's appointment again I will stay here again.

2nd time staying here in the past year and still surprisingly pleased with them! Very clean and usually a very friendly staff, not so much the case with the desk clerk this evening. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is right next to a more depressed part of town and the beds are a bit like sleeping on rocks. The only good breakfast items were the waffles and yogurt. Other than that I had a quiet sleep, my only real need, so the hotel was decent.

This hotel was horrible I was lied to by the receptionist and no one came to help me for about an hr. I called first and asked if they had any jacuzzi rooms available and I was lied go in order for them to earn my business. I really wish it wasn't already 3 am or I would have definitely went to the Hampton Inn. I would love to pay extra for quality and great service.

Location about 15 minute drive from downtown Charleston. Room was huge (we got efficiency suite). Nice hot tub in room! Breakfast is nice also!

Rooms were nice and large, liked the queen beds instead of the traditional full size. Also appreciated the separate seating area, made the room more user friendly. Room was clean, as was the breakfast area, breakfast had a nice selection. Front desk was very personable and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

We paid for a king suite, the carpet was stained with bright pink and it was torn. There was a jacuzzi tub in the main room, near the tub was torn carpeting g with exposed and rusted carpet tackstrips, which my infant son was scratched and we went to urgent care today after informing the front desk. We had to have house keeping bring us 2 sets of fresh laundry because the comforter was stained with blood and the pillows. I took pictures of it all and will be writing corporate office. It was a nightmare staying there…

The hotel room looked just like the pictures online. The breakfast that was served every morning was pretty good, and the area was clean. The main thing that stood out to my wife and I was the desk clerk Charlene. Ms. Charlene was so warm hearted, and polite. She gave us great suggestions on places to eat and checked with us to make sure it turned out well. With all that being said we give Charlene 5 plus stars! She can really teach a thing or two to some of the other employees.

Staff was very friendly, room was very clean and comfortable. Pull out couch was even decent to sleep on, great for kids. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, pastries and bagels. Second stay at this hotels in the past month and would stay again.

The rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly with the exception of one check in attendant who refused to give us 4 towels for 2 people.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk rep, Charlene was the epitome of southern hospitality! She provided us with the most awesome room and recommended a wonderful restaurant to us! The breakfast was the best of all the choice hotels we had stayed in over the last week span. We really received our money's worth. We love this hotel! It was one of the few with an indoor pool also.

We booked this hotel for my brother's wedding this past June. From the initial telephone conversation to the day we checked out, our customer service was impeccable and the rooms were clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. We were there for a week, and for the entire stay, our experience was one to be rivaled. We had guests in from as far away as California and New Mexico and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit. Check in was a little hectic but that was mainly due to flight arrivals and even with that, housekeeping did an incredible job getting rooms prepared as quickly as they could. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quick get away. The location is accessible to everything you will need. Staff works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and excellent staff.

This hotel had very poor customer service. Front desk (at night) seemed to have an attitude as if they were bein g bothered when you asked for their help. To top it all off I made reservations for two nights and was billed for both prior to checking in. After the first night decided not to stay a second and go elewhere. Ichecked out the next morning and informed them of my decision and was still billed $118 for a night I did nort stay there without any notice from the front desk people. If this is their policy it would be really courteous to explain that to someone, not just assume everyone knows that. I have stayed at several hotels in SC includung Hilton Head and have never had such an experience. Rip off! I am currently trying to get in touch with a corporate representative, but was told by a Mrs Katie White that they are privately owned and the GM is my only resort. We'll see about that.

Visited in July 2013. Beautiful. Clean. Friendly staff. Small square pool. Exercise room. Decent breakfast. The usual "fake" eggs, sausage, yogurt, breads, fruit, etc. Large bathroom. Difficult to get into if coming from Savannah. Had to drive around the block to enter drive. Close to Citadel Mall and plenty of food options close by.
