Thank you for a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were beyond what we could have expected. Prior to this trip, we had always stayed with family when we came home to visit. This time, we opted to have a place of our own for my husband and I and our two boys. The pool was great to have with the boys. The weather was a bit chilly so it was nice to have something physical for them to do to burn off some energy. My only suggestion for improvement with our entire stay is the noise in the pool area. I am not sure how you would improve the acoustics but it was very loud in the pool room. It would have been nice to visit with other adults while the kids played but it was very difficult to converse. Instead the adults took turns. Otherwise, our stay was near perfect. The 2 queen bed suite was very spacious. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us, our luggage, groceries and bikes. The sitting area had ample space to sit and the half wall allowed the kids (and sometimes the grown ups) to watch cartoons or play games while the rest visited in the sitting area. The lobby lounge was ideal for visiting with a large group and it made it easy for my grandparents (91, 87 and 84) to visit. They did not have to walk down the hall to our room, just the short distance in to the lobby. It easily accommodated our large groups. The dining room and patio grill could not have worked out better. One of our biggest problems with traveling is eating out all the time. The grill, along with the refrigerator and microwave in the room, allowed us to cook for ourselves. The large space in the dining room meant we could easily entertain a crowd. We had about 20 family members one evening! The continental breakfast and Wednesday evening meal were another bonus. Not only did we not have to go out but the food was good and there was plenty of it. The boys loved the fresh baked cookies daily! The staff was fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about them. Gina went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The front desk staff and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. They let my mom stop by before we arrived to drop off some groceries and decorate our room. They changed channels on the T. V. In the lobby or dining room so the kids did not have to watch the news while the adults visited. They provided tools for the grill so we could cook out and loaned us serving utensils when we had large groups. During the Wednesday evening meal, Gina and the owner both stopped by our group to invite everyone to join in the dinner though most of the group was not even staying at the hotel. The owner took my uncle back to the kitchen to show him the packages the brats came in when my uncle commented on how good they were. The trip home can be a bit stressful at times but having a place of our own made a huge difference. I cannot say thank you enough for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming.
