Reviews of Park Hyatt New York 5*
Fantastic hotel great location and very clean and beautiful rooms.
Great costumer service. Amazing room. Cant say no more. I love hyatt.
Excellent, classy, beautiful.
Cannot sleep in the night because of traffic — despite being on the 9th floor suite and paying $1, 400 per nite! Also when they say you get the Central Park view, it’s actually a couple of trees 🌲 between 2 big concrete blocks.
Impeccable service. Fantastic location. Large, elegant suites. Highly recommend!
I have no word's to say just amazing. Outstanding service Friendly environment Well coming and charming staff Highley recommended to all my friends.
Outstanding place to stay. It's in walking distance to everything. Service is fantastic.
Great service but the hotel is way too OLD. Wasnt worth it.
It’s a beautiful hotel and big rooms. Very clean!
It's been two years since I went to Park Hyatt Hotel for dinner but their service is very good and their cooking and food is very good and standard is also very good.
We had a wonderful and very awesome stay at the Park Hyatt. Everybody went above and beyond to be friendly. Food was absolutely delicious and the rooms state of the art. Highly recommended.
The staff (management included) are very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Great views and spacious rooms with incredible bathrooms.
Great room & friendly service.
Amazing hotel. Hands down. Great experience.
The Park Hyatt always makes our New York experience! With a perfect location, wonderful concierge service, and top notch staff.
The staff is so welcoming. They all have smiles for us at our arrivals & departures. The interior is elegant. The rooms are small but very nice. My only complaint is that there are not enough drawers for clothing, & it took us awhile to figure out how to turn lights on.
Very high tech rooms. Spa baths. Friendly staff. Park view rooms do NOT have a park view but have two walls of windows.
Was very disappointed in our recent stay. The hotel was pretty, but the room was only okay. We were given a handicapped room (said that was all they had), and it felt like we were in a hospital room with all the railings in the bathroom. Several little glitches during our stay. Couldn't reach room service on the phone, heard loud music late at night, TV in bathroom didn't work, courtesy car not available after 7pm, ordered food in the bar that took an unreasonable amount of time… nothing major but had high expectations based on advertisements and reviews. Front desk staff was not friendly at all. We usually stay at the Hyattcentric Times Square, and will go back there for our annual NYC trip.
Have been frequenting the Living Room at the Park Hyatt for years! They've always made me feel like this is my second home. Excellent service and superb hospitality.
Love this hotel and the surrounding area! Culture, great food and great shopping all within steps of the front door!
Not too close but not too far from everything. Beautifully hotel. Killer rainfall shower! Views are great. Quiet. Private.
Fabulous hotel and everything are so fancy and cozy and excellent service!
Fabulous Hotel, really well located in Manhatten. Our room is spacious and has everything you want, even done to complimentary hairbrush, toiletries for every need. Superb!
This place is absolutely amazing. The concierge and best room service. I will be enjoying another night at this beautiful, elegant, and wonderful atmosphere hotel. Thank you for the wonderful place.
We come into city every few months to visit our daughters. We will be back. Very convenient location, upscale, spacious rooms and very friendly staff.
It's a 5 star hotel with 5 star service and accommodations, and the hospitality was second to none!
Outstanding, the property itself is small but the rooms and the overall service makes up for it, the rooms are large, beds are extremely comfortable most importantly the service is exceptional, a special note and thank you to the concierge team probably the best I have encountered in the whole world and I travel half the year, they handled my numerous requests without any hesitation and with speed and genuine interest, the bell service staff and restaurant staff were extremely attentive as well. Great location right next to Central Park the only improvement required is from the housekeeping staff as any request took more than 25 mins. I love this property and I will be back.
Beautiful and modernized designed hotel in perfect location in Manhattan. There are many details designed to make the accommodation feeling very well like welcome message with my names on screen of TV and iPad, floor warmer inside the bath room and very good shower facilities as well as iPhone charger prepared inside the drawer. Comfortable bed and quilt with appropriate hardness of mattress. In addition, there are big spa
Pool and nice swimming pool. Next time I hope I can get a higher floor room with a good view instead of concrete building outside of the windows. Would like to visit it in the future.
Agree the room/amenities, facility, hotel location are all nice, brand-new featured. However this is not the five stars hotel. Because they are missing the pretty basics for hotel service. It was 4:20PM! when my room got available. Although their official check-in time is 3PM! They are not following their commitment for the customer. It is not acceptable. Their management has a big issue. I'm the elite membership but experienced same issue with another location before. Escalated it to hotel. But I had same issue again. I won't come back to Park Hyatt NY but also consider to move away from Hyatt.
This place is tremendous. From the second you walk in you are greeted by a very warm welcoming staff. We were checked in by Denise who is a true treasure to this hotel. She made sure we wanted for nothing, and even provided my 5 year old daughter with a bath robe her size which made her trip. The room was beautiful and the amenities were amazing. Such a great weekend trip!
They charge $75 for roll away beds, $500 more for a room with a couch, and courtesy tip is expected every time you ask for something. You can not just have the items you need handed to you at the front desk. Their is no business center but they have a computer available for personal use. There is no breakfast included at this property either. On the flip side, the room was impressively clean, they provided dishes that we used, the bed was heavenly, the staff is very professional and kind as well.
Great location. Extremely friendly service with no issues. Beautiful room and upgraded. Obviously they charge an obscene price for everything ($8 for a can of coke?! $32 for an omelette?! ) so we decided not to do room service or complete a spa visit. Was surprised and disappointed of lack of nice lounge while we waited for check-in.
The hotel itself was very well kept and nice. The employees were very helpful when I got lost, multiple times. And they also treated and talked to you good, like friends. The door man was nice and gave me a bottle of water as I was leaving the building because it was a scorcher outside.
One of the best hotels in New York. The lobby and all public areas of the hotel are filled with art work, some of it commissioned for the hotel. The bedrooms are luxe without being over-the-top. Incredibly comfortable beds, deep baths and curtains that open and close at the touch of a button. Service is excellent — unobtrusive but attentive. I'd gladly go back the next time I need to be in mid-town. The one thing that could use some work: the menu in the restaurant is a bit bland and ordinary. Nice.
One of the best luxury hotel I've stayed at. The staff are attentive but not intrusive, very helpful. Hotel room is clean and comfortable.
The deluxe double was great. Best room I've stayed in with nice beds and bathroom. The reason for 3 stars is for the house keeping service. We had to make multiple requests just to get extra towels and pillows. Being the category 7 hotel, I would have expected speedier services and not having to make 3-4 calls each time for an item.
The best hotel I’ve ever stay! Stunning building, amazing location, decoration is beautiful, excellent service, the best part is the spa and pool with jacuzzi, steam room, locker room, amazing showers and a beautiful swimming pool, you can hear music under water. The rooms are big, heated floors, good bed, impecable, really impressive service that make you feel good and important. This is place is not for everyone, sometimes rooms are over $800/night but the place is worth it! Cant tell you how much we enjoy it!
When we're back in NYC then definitely Park Hyatt again!
The room was very beautiful with Street view. Luxury everything, one feels well taken care of. Visit the pool and the bar!
Fantastic facility. Courteous and attentive staff. Room was awesome. Very well appointed and extremely quiet; not what I was expecting in NYC. Also, TV built into the bathroom mirror was a first for me. Location near Central Park worked well for us.
Stayed here using a free night reward from Hyatt, and had a great experience! Although it looks quite unassuming from the outside, the interior is very elegant. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is super nice! Conveniently located to two different subway lines so really easy to get around Manhattan. Also walking distance from Central Park and Times Square, but unfortunately there aren't many views since the neighboring buildings get in the way… Also, there's an indoor pool located on the top floor that looked beautiful!
Me and my boyfriend spent this past weekend in NYC for our Anniversary and he booked us this hotel, up on arrival we got upgraded into the suite and the staff was amazing! We loved our room, how attentive and friendly everyone was, great room service and bar and the bartender even have up complimentary drinks after overhearing us say it was our anniversary. Truly an amazing hotel so happy we chose this place to celebrate such a special occasion.
You have to stay at the incredibly swanky 5 star Park Hyatt and if given the chance, do upgrade to the West Side Suite overlooking Carnegie Hall and the Russian Tea Room… The Park Hyatt New York property is the flagship location of the Hyatt brand, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. You'll be completely blown away… it is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in NYC thus far… have a marvelous stay you all!
Such a great hotel with an amazing spa. Their rooms are spacious and large. The service is impeccable and the location is absolutely perfect for shopping. The hotel is also steps away from Central Park. Don't miss the Spa Nalai at the hotel… one of the best I have experienced in the city!
This was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, in my life. The customer service was excellent, the shower was heavenly (rain shower coming from the ceiling and a separate shower head that could be moved around), beautiful dosing tub in the room, TV embedded in the bathroom mirror, and complimentary Nespresso… not to mention, the midtown location was so convenient! While we didn't swim, we checked out the pool, which was also beautiful. Definitely a splurge, but if you have the money, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.
One of the best hotels in New York. The lobby and all public areas of the hotel are filled with art work, some of it commissioned for the hotel. The bedrooms are luxe without being over-the-top. This was our second time staying at Park Hyatt and it was wonderful as usual. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We also used the gum, pool, whirlpool, and steam room. The lockers rooms are fully equipped so, you can forget everything except your swimsuit and still enjoy. They gym could use a few more free weights and leg machines, but was overall clean with good entertainment options while you workout. They also have bottled water readily available throughout the gym and pool area.
Just recently had my fourth stay here at Park Hyatt New York for a friend's birthday. While we had some issues with confirming my reservation (rude associate on telephone while confirming reservation, unreceptive/unfriendly manager), the stay itself as always was exceptional. Upgrade was offered upon arrival in agreement with Hotel Loyalty Program (s), amenities were offered as well in celebration of friend's birthday. We stayed in the double studio suite this time around. It had amazing views of 58th and Carnegie Hall, beautiful appointments and all the expected amenities of a 5 star hotel. Turn down service is thorough and discreet. One downside is that the hotel's restaurant, Bevy, recently closed. Apparently, it's being turned into a banquet and meeting space for events. This showed in the food for there was an utter lack of direction and focus. While not terrible, it was less memorable and more bland then my previous stays. I really hope they find another chef to head up a new restaurant as a five star hotel without a flagship restaurant is simply incomplete. All in all, still worth it for location, quality of stay, service and amenities. Just make sure you email Guest Relations directly to ensure a smooth stay!
Perfect location a couple blocks from Central Park. Gorgeous rooms, but a little short of drawers for clothes. A fantastic grocery store across the street with fresh sandwiches and sweets as well as regular basics. Russian Tea Room and Carnegie Hall also across the street. Staff is excellent and service quick. They offer a free car service for nearby (about 5 blocks) spots.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The service was incredible. The staff was dedicated to ensure our every need was met. We asked for a fridge and a crib and they were brought up to us within 10 minutes. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower and soaking tub were so relaxing at the end of the day. I highly recommend.
I was here with a client shooting interviews for 2 days in a conference room. The hotel is beautiful and kept up very well. The staff was very accommodating and provided us both breakfast and lunch. They provided staff to move furniture and made sure we had fresh coffee and we were stocked with water and sodas. I didn't spend the night, but I'm sure the rooms are nice. The rates are very expensive but it's a Hyatt in NYC so that is pretty much expected.
Disclaimer: I don't usually stay at $1K+ hotels. I used Chase points for 2 free nights. It was great to have so much space and comfort in the middle of NYC. Staff were all great and this hotel helped make for a great weekend in NYC. We took advantage of the free bikes and biked central park. Did not eat or drink in the hotel. We took advantage of the gym and pool, both of which are very nice.
The staff were all incredibly friendly, even though we were staying on points. The location absolutely can NOT be beat for a quick city break. Our room was amazing (especially the tub) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room service was the only area where they dropped the ball (our dinner was over 30 minutes late and they never came to pick up the cart after we called Guest Services for removal). All in all we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Fantastic stay here. Great location right in the heart of midtown and only 2 blocks from Central Park. The room was immaculate and comfortable and the staff were incredibly responsive in getting us anything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again.
Friendly staff, good location.
Upscale holiday in Midtown Manhattan. Was here for a wedding celebration. Very pretty venue. Only negatives are its location means too much traffic, too few parking locations nearby which are way too expensive.
Minimalist luxury in what I would consider French post modern industrial. The artistic expression in the interior design is of modern museum decor. The staff is very attentive and will go out of their way to assist.
A great night made perfect… upgraded to a suite with a bottle of Pinot Noir waiting… steak and lobster for breakfast, amazing pool, wonderful view
… nothing more can we ask for!. Thanks to Amy and all the staff for making our short stay a lifetime of memories…
Beautiful hotel. Best shower I've ever had. Nice and attentive staff. Beautiful breakfast as well. Worth a stay!
We had a lovely time away celebrating my birthday here and the location was a great launching point to enjoy Central Park, Broadway Shows, and shopping. The doorman, Chris, was super friendly and personable and we enjoyed chatting with him on a few occasions. The bathroom was spacious, and the soaking tub was fabulous — only downside, it was incredibley noisy draining so I only opted to use it once. Hope to have a return stay.
This hotel was fantastic in all respects! I wasn't sure what to expect, but from the time I pulled up to the curb to the time I left, everything was great. They are helpful in many ways I had not imagined. They even walked us to the room! I am not used to a 5 star hotel, but as such I had high expectations and they were all exceeded. If you stay here, definitely try the breakfast. The food and service at the restaurant were top notch as well.
Worth every penny! Loved the room. Very spacious and exactly as advertised. The service was impeccable and the room luxurious. I will definitely stay here again.
This Hotel was Amazing. Not only is everything about the hotel beautiful, but the people are superb. I had the absolute best massage I've ever had in the spa and received excellent advise from the Concierge every time we asked. The reason I am writing this review, though, is because I'm stupid and left my engagement ring in the room as we headed for the airport. I realized it about 5 min from the airport and there was just no turning back. I spoke with security who quickly ran up to the room and found the ring. They had it FedExed to me before my flight even took off and I had it on my hand by 10am the next day. I truly feel like they went out of their way and really didn't have to. We didn't have the Penthouse suite. We were just regular customers, and they understood my crisis and made it their job to get me back my most prized possession. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will ABSOLUTLEY be booking with them again.
The best and responsible priced hotel on the island! Always ask for La-Toya she is truly and amazing person and always takes care of us. She always puts in a special felling that makes you feel like your right at home or at your very rich Uncles place. Anyway do try it its amazing.
It's the Park Hyatt, so naturally it's amazing. Went to the city for the weekend and stayed here. Modern feel with all the best amenities: heated floors, rainfall shower head, stocked mini bar. Very spacious for an NYC hotel.
Everything about this hotel is luxurious. I love the chandelier in the restaurant, it's beautiful. The service is on point, with some bartenders making custom drinks based in my taste. The concierge desk here can work magic.
I stayed at Park Hyatt for 4 days during a vacation at NYC. It was a beautiful hotel at a very convenient location. The staff was helpful and courteous. My wife and I loved the experience. Thanks Hyatt for giving us a wonderful memory.
Great Staff. Great Location. Great Rooms. Loved our 2 days there. No complaints of any sort. A gem and a very convenient location.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Excellent Hotel. I've never had such a nice hotel experience, from the time we we arrived to the time we left we were treated like the top priority of the staff. The common areas were extremely impressive and luxurious and the room was amazing. We arrived several hours prior to our check-in time, we were told to leave our bags and they would call when a room was available. I received a call less than an hour after, when we returned we found our bags lined neatly in the front hallway of our room. The room was about two times the size of a typical New York guest room and the bathroom was the best I've seen. There were two vanities, a tub, shower, separate water closet and even a TV in the mirror. The shower was the best I've ever taken, there was a traditional showerhead along with a rainfall head in the ceiling, additionally the floors of the bathroom were heated which was very nice. The whole room could be controlled from one of the several wall switches where you simply press a button to control lights and the privacy mode for the door. The curtains were fully electric and the furniture was extremely nice quality. The pictures do not do it justice, you'll just have to go see for yourself.
Staying here now. Nice sized rooms/suites. Very modern. Nice staff. Had one meal and it was really good. Today, I had lunch. They need to retrain the chefs. Tongue is burning from the lowed salt bath I just ate. You cant be 5-star and serve food like this. Looks like a one shot visit for me. Back to Ritz next trip.

Elegant, stylish hotel, that is marvelously quiet everywhere — — in the rooms, in the lobby, in the restaurant. Wonderful deep bathtubs with bath salts, large fitness center, phenomenal pool, spa, and sauna. The restaurant serves excellent food and a cappuccino equal to the kind you can get in Italy (which is to say it's much better than what you get in most American coffee shops). The staff are friendly and efficient. I would go again and again.
The hotel was nice. Rooms were clean. Loved the waterfall shower. Concierge was helpful in making reservations and finding things to do. Great experience over all.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… Excellent hotel location, gorgeous room with comfortable bed. The suite is exquisite but lacking drawers in bathrooms and bedroom. Several staff members were excellent. Cost of number of points and cash plus taxes were not good value when compared to other Park Hyatt Hotels around the world. The indoor swimming pool is a very nice feature, especially during summer months in NYC.
We just spent a magnificent weekend at the Park Hyatt while attending my granddaughter's wedding. Everything was impeccably wonderful. The service, the rooms, the food, the courtesy of all the employees, and their immediate response to all of your needs. The utmost in luxury. That being said may I be a bit picayune and make a small suggestion? Perhaps the showers should have a safety bar installed to accommodate the needs of your more senior visitors.
Stayed on the 19th floor. Beautiful room and highest level amenities. When we arrived back to our room after an evening out there were my slippers placed on the side of the bed waiting for me. For my husband's birthday they gave us a lovely dessert along with a bottle of Prosecco and a handwritten card. I ordered the omelette for breakfast at the restaurant. Honestly, I didn't see any cheese which I ordered but I did see chopped up turkey bacon. Not great. Try the French toast instead. We used the Jacuzzi and swam in the pool on the 25th floor, very very nice. The only thing missing is an outdoor deck to sunbathe on. The gym looked wonderful.
Stayed overnight for our anniversary celebration. Overall a wonderful stay — great ambiance, modern room (upgraded to a higher floor for us), awesome spa bathroom with heated floors. Also, impeccable attention from the staff from the moment we arrived, including complimentary prosecco and strawberries with a lovely note from the manager. The only con was upon arrival in our room, there were FedEx packages on our desk for another guest, and there was a dry cleaning hanger and tag in the closet presumably left by a prior guest. While the room seemed clean otherwise, it definitely made us pause to wonder exactly how thorough the cleaning was. If not for this, definitely would have been a 5-star experience.
The place is nice well arranged good home design.
The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the concierge is top notch and the room are fantastic. As simple as all that may sound the hotel does a great job at providing you with the very best of the best. Luxury sheets that are so soft you don't want to get out of bed, the 5 fixture bathroom is very spacious and can be very relaxing. The pool and gym are are top notch with a view over central park. Thank you for a great stay. The next time I'm in new York I'll be back.
The bar is very nice. Not crowded, very comfortable, and affluent atmosphere. Drinks are a little pricey but that's what you should expect in a place like this.
The Ultimate Place to book a few nights. Great views and Luxury unparalleled… A bit pricey, but worth it if you can afford it…
It is a wonderful place! The staff are lovely and the amenities are amazing! I would come back.
To start I received the room complimentary. The check in area is small with two computers in a tight space. If you get stuck behind a group you will wait some time. The hallway was very dark from the elevator to the room. The room was very nice with its main feature the bathroom. With heated floors, shower and bathtub. The rest of the room was nice and on the small side. The mini bar was fully stocked.
Super service beautiful top the pool to 25 th floor facing the central park.
Was amazing to stay great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Would gladly go back anytime. Location was wonderful. Central Park close by.
The hotel was absolutely luxurious. Free waters and Nespresso were available in the room. The bathing products were of excellent quality. Hotel concierge sent me a free bottle of wine for my birthday. The gym and pool were very well maintained.
Super hotel, location, service, room comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff. When I pulled out my phone to Google a menu item, the bartender immediately took note and asked if I had questions about the menu and subsequently recommended a house made cheese dish that was delicious beyond description.
It was nice. Heated floors aren't adjustable. Light under the mini bar was too bright. TV in bathroom was too small and the remote didn't work well. No TV in watering closet. The HDMI port didn't work. Several outlets didn't work. You need to take two elevators to get to your room. The TV interface is terrible. The TV pivoted but didn't rotate towards the bed. Overall not fantastic but very affordable at 900 a night.
Wonderful treatment for Hyatt Diamond status members. Though I'm sure every guest is treated just as well. The best part of the hotel is the beautiful spa-quality swimming pool. Can't beat that.
Classy lounge, and wonderful food at The Back Room. Great dining when celebrating special occasions.
(Warning: no Christmas here at all, so this is your warning — as the Chinese guy that owns the 100 million penthouse and Muslims not from the USA crack a smile and say "yep" New York is our town now/friend! ). This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in NYC (but had I been Steve Wynn I would have fired everyone, closed, re-hired and re-opened with 5-star service). This wasn't the best of the best — there was a problem I'm not going to omit until I go here a couple more times and see it 100% fixed (I stay at Hyatt 75 nights per year, 75 at Hilton). The basic room here for around $800 was spacious for one person compared to the match boxes in other NYC hotels for $300-400+. The bell/door men/women are the best, and the concierge staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the front desk was real nice (these are the easiest jobs), the 25th floor pool/hot tub ok (hot tub too cold for adults), but the restaurant fell short (the hardest and easiest to bring the whole hotel down) and did not meet the basic hospitality standards of even a 4-star hotel (I've had better service at Denny's). I'm on Pacific/Mountain time so I came in the restaurant around 11-11:30 am Eastern time and was practically ignored the first morning and wondered how long I would wait for the check (the last thing I really wanted and waited 25 minutes until I finally asked) in addition to nothing friendly.
Amazing hotel, exceeded all expectations. Wish they would have informed us that breakfast was included for Diamond Members.
Great service and lovely room. The swimming pool was phenomenal. Definitely going back.
Fabulous service, definitely an experience. Room was perfectly laid out and everything was taken care of.
Had a wonderful experience here! Stayed two nights and will definitely be staying again on my next trip to NYC. Location is great. Of course, there's way to many things to do in the city for a hotel to be convenient to everything, but Park Hyatt is fairly close to just about everything in Manhattan. Standard room was gorgeous. Marble for days and the bed was very comfortable. Our room had a great view of the city and Carnegie hall. Chris, the doorman, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcome, and made some fantastic recommendations on dining. The hotel car driver was very friendly as well. Extremely courteous and even gave us a fun pop quiz of the city during one of our rides! Johan at the bar was great too. Fun to watch as he is a very talented bar keeper, and very nice to talk to. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay. Location is hard to beat, the rooms are a great example of modern luxury, and the service was impeccable. Once you stay here, a normal hotel simply wont do!
The staff were simply beyond anything I've seen in NY… Everyone was helpful especially the gents at the main entrance. They set the tone even though we lost a bag in an interesting cab ride one specific gentleman made my experience superb. He greeted me each day by asking how my family and I were. Thank you so much Gentelmen. You made my stay truly special… To the "powers that be"… Take care of those superior front door young men. Excellent!
Had breakfast here this morning. Everything was delicious. Staff 100% on point. Location and vibe amazing. Truly one of the best.
Just before a special-event weekend in New York, I found out that my reservation at Park Hyatt hadn't been properly booked with my Gold Passport awards—and no rooms were available. After speaking with Gold Passport customer service (and a day spent fretting about the missed chance to stay at this new property), PH's rooms manager, Andrew, called to let me know that the reservation had been fixed and my room was properly booked. The service I received from Andrew and the Hyatt team were really remarkable and kept a very special trip intact. I'm very grateful to them and hope the general manager at PH knows what an asset Andrew is for ensuring their visitors have a fantastic experience. Thank you, Andrew.
Stayed at the PH 3 nights. Wow. Will be back as soon as possible. Great service, great environment, great food and rooms are amazing with a great view.
Awesome drinks — April is the best bartender there.
Top place to stay, our new favorite in NYC. The deluxe king room was absolutely stunning, cpmpletely high tech! The bed was ever so comfortable! STAFF IS FANTASTIC. Special thanks to a most professional employee, Jihad from the bar/restaurant, who didn't even blink when my husband blundered and told him "his name was unfortunate". Chris the doorman, a pleasure to meet.
This place redefines class. While the check-in / concierge area is a bit awkward to find, the rooms in this brand new property are state of the art, and exceptionally well appointed. From the heated marble floors to the rain/forest / wall shower to the efficiently laid out closet, this is luxurious enough for a short weekend visit but functional enough for a long-term stay. The penthouse level pool, sauna, and steam room define luxury with glorious views over Central Park and NYC. Located just behind the Ritz Carlton and across the street from Carnegie Hall, the Park Hyatt is an unbeatable destination.
This hotel is elegant with a modern contemporary design. The restrooms are the type where each toilet has it's own sink and vanity. The event space on the second floor is comprised of several small rooms with connecting doorways. I would have preferred a wide open space where I could see everything instead constantly maneuvering between rooms, furniture and people.
We went to stay there for our honeymoon after they have officially opened. Our expectations were heightened when the assistant guest relations manager emailed us prior to our arrival to assure us that they would make our trip "memorable" since we would be celebrating our honeymoon there. But after the fancy and nice welcome we have received from the moment we checked in to the moment we settled in our room, everything else went downhill from there. Overall, we did not have a good honeymoon. Our sleep was ruined, our romantic plans in the rooms were ruined, and the management was sarcastic about ruining everything. I hope this is only a glitch stay because they just opened, because this was not what I've expected after all that I've heard about Park Hyatt New York. PROS: Nice Hotel. Everything from the designs to the lighting created a really elegant feel to the hotel. The Check-In process was flawless. From the dramatically grand front doors to the personalized escort all the way to your room, it was amazing. The staff remembered our names and continued to address us by our name throughout the entire stay. CONS: There were tons of construction going on. When we first arrived, there weren't any soap in the room, so we requested some soap through the room ipad. No soap was delivered after an hour, so we requested for it again through the phone.
