We loved our stay here. Front desk are so welcoming and helpful. Our room had amazing floor to ceiling windows looking out at the Empire State building. The roof top bar is beautiful. Can't fault anything. Perfect location! Thank you! We'll definitely be back!

What a great place to stay! The room view was fabulous and the bed was super cozy. The interior of the entry is amazing. So trendy. And did I mention the rooftop bar? Great terrace with delicious drinks!

My room was extremely small. Photos on the website are extremely misleading. Also, front desk people were not very nice. Maybe it's just a NY thing. Rooftop lounge is pretty nice and fun. Overall, it wasn't terrible but I wouldn't stay here again. Hope this was helpful. Thanks.

This was my 2nd time in New York and this time I decided to stay at the Arlo nomad! I will most certainly staying there again in the not so distant future. The staff were incredibly helpful going above and beyond to help us out. The roof top bar is just spectacular with Brant & Chris being such gracious hosts and helping us around the city. We had a little mishap with our flight times not realising it was sooner than we thought! The hotel immediately arranged their own car service to drive us to JFK and in record time. I cannot wait to go back. The hotel is located just off 5th Avenue In a prime spot, 2 min walk from 33rd St Station or Penn Station. The roof top bar is amazing with gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline and up close to the Empire State Building.

Absolutely love this hotel. I stayed for one night and I truly did not want to leave. The views are spectacular in the rooms and the roof top, and you definitely get what you pay for. The service, quality and staff are amazing. I couldn’t say one bad thing about this hotel. If you are coming to visit NYC definitely stay here for a night at least to experience spectacular views from your room! Will be back very soon.

King sky room with a beautiful view. The elevator takes a little getting used to. You have to use your keycard every time. Staff was friendly & greeted you every time you passed through the hotel entrance. Roof top bar has impeccable views, day or night.

Stayed here a few times and love this hotel! Centrally located and the staff are always so nice. I also recommend to try their restaurant's pizza — it's delicious! If the weather is good, visit the rooftop bar too! The rooms itself are small so definitely stay here if you're by yourself or if you're traveling with one other person. But the view makes up for the size! Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city is very pretty especially in one of their corner rooms. The only downside is that the elevators can be slow when a lot of people are using it. Overall, I love staying here because of the service and will book here again!

What a fantastic hotel to use as a hub in the middle of Manhattan. Even before we arrived it was a very positive experience. We had some date changes forced upon us by our airline and the hotel was excellent dealing with the problem. It really was very slick customer service. On arrival, we were too early to get in our room but it was no problem checking in, leaving our bags safely at reception and wandering off into the city. It's a simple thing that often seems to be a prob…lem for hotels, reasons for which I never understand, but here, it was just 'no problem Sir, go have fun and come back when you're ready'. They even offered to contact us when the room was ready. There was no need but the offer was appreciated. We were only on a short 3 night stay which was totally uneventful in regards to issues with the hotel. The two things that seem to get mentioned on reviews are the size of the rooms and the elevators. Firstly, the rooms are small, but the layout works very well and it does add a certain quirkiness to the experience. It's not like it feels claustrophobic with the floor to ceiling glass on two sides and it is possible that coming from the UK, the smaller room sizes are less of a shock. Secondly, the elevators, and to be honest we never really had an problem with wait times but we were there mid week and I assume it is possibly worse on weekends.

Really amazing staff. They were all genuinely nice and they have a nice little shop in the lobby for a quick food or drink grab, and the rooms are comfortable. They are a bit small but if you’re traveling without much luggage, it’s totally doable. I found mine to be great. They have a rooftop bar with a lovely view and I can’t say it enough, the staff is really good. They are super genuine, really nice and willing to help out in any way they can. I found the location to be perfect. One block away from the Empire State building and there are some really good places to eat nearby. It’s not too crowded either so if you’re looking for a little peace but still want to remain close to all the NY action, this is the place. It does get a tiny bit crowded during the night but it’s because other people also like to enjoy the rooftop bar (called The Heights). Not too crowded, though. The guests still respect the people that are staying in the hotel. You won’t see groups of people hanging out in the lobby nor do they make noise in the hallways. Seriously, check them out. Wonderful experience and I loved their location.

This is a great hotel, very central location, rooms are compact but comfortable, well worth paying the extra for room with skyline view amazing… night or day… rooftop has a glass floor & an amazing close up view of the Empire State Building on one side & the Chrysler Building can be seen from the other, there is a 24 hr shop in reception serving food, drinks & treats (great idea) on site bar & restaurant (pizza to die for) I just loved it… hope to return there.

Great view of the Empire State building at the rooftop bar. Modern common areas to lounge, work, or meet friends. There are community bikes that are first come first serve. Stay on a lower floor to cut down on elevator wait time. You'll be glad you did because there are not very many elevators to service the whole hotel.

I was moderately satisfied with the hotel. The room I stayed (bunk bed room) was exactly as expected: simple but extremely comfortable. The bar in the hotel is super cool and the staff is nice. I just wasn't really satisfied with the service provided by the hotel, specially considering the price. The elevators were super cluttered sometimes with staff moving around on them to clean rooms. Also, one day in the morning an employee went into the room in the morning to clean without realizing we were still sleeping. Also, the lobby of the hotel felt super full sometimes, making it a little bit uncomfortable to go through. All in all, if the hotel was cheaper I would have probably given 4 stars. But at that price range, some problems are not ignorable.

Very modern, sleek hotel in Nomad. The rooms are tiny but in a chic, Apartment Therapy way. Bonus points for 24 hour dining! We stayed during the winter so the rooftop bar wasn't an option but the heated terrace was super cozy. Would definitely spend a few more nights here sometime!

A pleasant hotel. The rooms were small and clean, great shower. Walls and doors are thin so you can hear everyone in the corridors especially if they are talking. A good breakfast and some delicious pizza. Tip: We had a room at the front on the 27th floor and I must say the views were great. You could happily fall asleep looking out of the window and getting woken up from the sun rising.

It's a very cool hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly. There is a mini store in the lobby that's 24 hours, which is awesome, and there was live music in the evening. The upstairs bar was a neat place to hang out, and our bartender was A+. I had wanted the sky view but could only book the city view and was still happy with the room. My only complaint is with the speed of the elevator, as it seemed to take forever.

Nice, funky hotel with friendly staff. A lot of funny details in the room interiors. Great location for exploring the city walking. Tiny rooms for high prices — but this is Manhattan, after all. We did not like the construction noise outside the window at 2-3am. If we had not been so jet-lagged and were awake anyway, that would have been a real downturn.

Small rooms but clean and modern spot in a great location. Stayed here for 5 nights and had 0 complaints. One issue with our door when it stopped working but quickly found out it was cause the battery in the door lock had stopped working… and it had nothing to do with our keys. An engineer was sent up to fix it quickly (maybe within 10 mins). Also tried the downstairs bar for a quick drinks and had no complaints!

Nice, clean and modern hotel in a great location. Just around the corner from the Empire State Building. Rooms are small but we'll thought out. One word of warning is that the bathrooms are integrated in to the room with only a frosted glass sliding door to seperate you from the room so privacy in the bathroom is limited if there are 2 of you staying and the lifts can be very slow. Drinks are quite pricey in the bar and food menu was innovative but slightly limited. Overall a great stay, great location, great views and clean and modern. Really enjoyed our stay :-)

I am staying here for my DIY New York Yoga retreat (40th Bday gift) One of the best gift one can ask for. Morden, trendy, practical space but with million dollar view of the amazing city and Empire State Building! Sky view queen/king is highly recommended! Trust me the money is worth it! The front staff was so amazing in making sure my room was satisfactory! They even surprised me with some treats! Inside the room! They also provide yoga and Pilate lessons which is awesome for people like me. Roof top bar seems pretty brilliant! Oh, by the way, the location is also priceless: If you are a foodies like me, Korean town is mins walking distance away. A friendly reminder about the elevators, give yourself some time to wait for it because at times it can take a little bit longer if you are in a hurry to be somewhere!
Just stay here if you are visiting NYC, because you only live once, live it like you mean it!

Dear Arlo NoMad, I love you! You made my birthday stay wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful view from our room, everything was functional and the scented lobby is amazing. The front desk staff was friendly and courtes. We can't wait to go back again!

A nice comfortable hotel, perfect base camp to explore New York's strengths! The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small (it's New York! ), but super functional. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The rain shower was very nice after a long day of walking. The full size window added a lot of appeal to the room with a view of illuminated buildings in the evening. The window of the room opens, so possibility to have a breath of outdoor air and to close the air conditioner which is one more according to me. Besides, there is a rooftop terrace with a nice view of the Empire State Building and the surrounding buildings. There is a bar, but no one is pushing to consume. The décor is really nice in the common areas. In short, we liked our stay and did not hesitate to go back.

Great hotel with an excellent view (was on 22nd floor). Perfectly located easy access to all parts of the city. Only issues would be the extremely long wait for the elevators, the rather small size of the rooms and the bathroom that have basically virtually no separation with the rest of the room.

Nice hotel with the modern design I loved so much. Room is compact but has everything you need. Noisy level is super low. Bar and band on Second floor is definitely a reason to visit. Nice breakfast with reasonable price.

While the rooms are ridiculously tiny for anyone not expecting Manhattan size, they are well appointed. The rooftop bar has awesome views, but a poor beer selection. Everyone seems friendly and the hotel location is great great for exploring the city but foot.

We spent two weeks at Arlo Nomad and absolutely loved it! The rooms are on the small side but are so well designed and modern that they accommodate all the necessary features. We had a great view of the Empire state building and the staff were so friendly. Especially loved the food at Massoni and the views from the rooftop bar. Plus the free bikes were an awesme bonus. Would definitely stay here again and again and again!

I stayed here for 4 nights. Great location, was able to walk to a lot of things nearby. The rooms are small, but that is the concept. The queen city view was spacious enough for 2 people to stay in. The design is modern and there are thoughtful touches throughout — lighting, storage, shelving, etc. Yes, there are sometime elevator traffic jams, but the hotel is new and the staff is aware — they acknowledged this many times. I will definitely stay here again! I have also recommended to friends.

Beautiful hotel. The entrance is very modern and chic. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are gorgeous with amazing views of the city. On the 2nd floor there's a beautiful bar and on the opposite side there's a lounge area to enjoy your cocktail and have a quiet conversation with a friend or small group.

Roof top bar was amazing! Great view. Can see the Empire State Building and even parts of the East River. Modern contemporary feel. The area is not too large and relaxed which is great when you just want to hang out casually with friends and chat without screaming at each other. There's also a section where the floor is glass, and see the world below your feet!

What a value! Money is saved by having very compact rooms but all expected amenities are present including shower with supplies, steamer instead of iron, fridge, all in efficient space. Great when needing somewhere nice and clean to stay when visiting the city and not looking for a large space to just hang out. Excellent rooftop views.

The rooftop bar was awesome. View was great. There's a section that has a glass floor that lets you look down to the the street below — it's both really cool and terrifying for some. The drinks were good, but maybe a little on the pricey side. Worth a visit if you're coming from out of town.

Great price for it's location within a block of Empire State building. Beautiful rooftop bar very diverse trendy crowd. Room layout is well put together and stylish. All of the staff are professional and polite. A full bar and good restaurant I will definitely be making a return visit.

Stayed here for a night with my guy. Space is small, but was perfect for our trip. Wish the rooftop bar was open, but we will definitely be back to check it out. Close to a lot. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Got on the elevator with a gay couple and the one said, "How do you like your micro-mini room? " The other said, "Aren't the views spectacular!? " And I'm left wondering what their relationship is like. The room was really small but the appointments in the room were great. There was a clothes steamer instead of an iron, didn't need a board and worked wonderfully. Many space saving gadgets, the lighting was really cool. Bed very comfortable. We found the staff extremely helpful. Go to the desk for health club pass for really nice club right around the corner. It has bottom story of weights, main story of machines like ellipticals, top story of mats for yoga and stretching. Hotel has a cafe down in main lobby which brews fresh coffee and snacks, and although the rooms are small the public areas are spacious and delightfully decorated. It is NY.

Small, but nice, clean and modern rooms. Got a nice room facing Empire State because I was staying for a week. Very central location. Very good service! Good prices for what you get. Would definitely consider staying here again if I'm traveling alone or with my wife. Not suitable as a family hotel probably.

I booked this hotel December last year (2016) when it was brand new as a surprise for my husband, and I am so glad I did! The staff were all excellent, particularly Samson who was great at making the trip all the more special. We had a corner room with incredible views to wake up to of the city and the Empire State Building to our right! The room was compact but perfect for a city break, nicely decorated and good quality linens. Would definitely stay here again. Oh the pizza and coffee were great too!

Really nice modern and chic hotel. Rooms are fairly small but this is Manhattan so not such a shock! Staff are really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately while we stayed there was construction going on just across the road which started early (6am) and made quite a noise!
