We love it there, always top notch service.

Charming and quaint. Rooms are small as you might expect from a historic hotel. Bar is moody and beautiful! Great orange cosmos! All the staff is extremely helpful especially concierge “George! ” Much to see in the area and within walking distance. If you need an aspirin, a new shirt, a bottle of vodka it is all within a short stroll. Yes, we’ll be back!

My husband and I love the Beekman hotel. What we especially love is the wonderful staff in the bar. Michelle, Jasmine and Elizabeth made our birthday celebration extra special. Their kindness will be remembered. And of course, the food was delicious, our room was cozy and the location cannot be equaled. Don’t forget to look up. The building itself has great stories to tell!

Beautiful hotel that’s in a nice part of the city. I had a room in the back and it was quiet. Would’ve been nice if the lounges were open earlier and had more seating but it was easy to stay entertained in the room with the awesome Google Chromecast set up built into the TV.

Gorgeous, atmospheric gathering places (bar, lounge, and restaurant. ). Our room was across the street from construction so it was noisy. It didn’t bother me but those of you who are bothered by noise of that kind will already take steps to get a room which is not near the construction.

We just spent 8 nights here with my wife and 3 kids! The place is really nice and the Up Scale work on the building restoration was fantastic! The rooms are very comfortable, the service from everyone was 5 Stars ⭐️, definitely we will try to return soon!

Probably one of the best hotels in downtown Manhattan/FiDi, impeccably restored to its former glory. The vibe is trendy without being obnoxious, while the design choices evoke the bygone area of the 1920’s, but with all the modern amenities you’d expect from a luxury 21st century hotel. The staff is uniformly nice, even the custom scent that permeates the hallways and foyer is divine. Get the largest room you can afford, as they cheapest ones are minuscule.

I had drinks at their Bar Room. Decorated in Victorian style, from the furnishings to the lights to the comfy chairs putting one into an era that only can be replicated in the movies. The drinks were extensive and fabulous. Service was super nice. My server was knowledgeable and efficient. The Beekman Bar Room is located blocks away from Wall Street. So expect this place to be crazy busy during lunch and dinner. Get there early and enjoy!

Loved my stay at The Beekman. Very attentive staff. Building renovation is gorgeous. Eclectic room design. I did not enjoy my experience at the restaurants or bar. Just really bad service and wait time for food.

One of the best hotels I have ever had the joy of staying at, great rooms in a outstanding location for tourists attractions in New York, such as the 9/11 memorial or the pier for Ellis Island and Liberty Island ferries. Very clean and mixed fashioned interior ranging from upscale old fashioned furniture to modern appliances and TVs. Staff were also very friendly to my brother and myself who are teens. And not to mention the quality of the room service was impressive, with however a very limited menu I may add. The two restaurants located on the hotels grounds are also extremely good, one being French and the other classical American offering a wide range of meals that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. This hotel has truely made other 5 star hotels I have stayed at in the past look pathetic and unprofessional. Highly recommend to those reading this review trying to choose hotels in New York.

Stunning building inside and out. Great cocktails and food. Excellent customer service. Got upgraded from a queen to king size room upon checkin. The lively bar can be a bit noisy at night esp on a weekend but not loud enough that you can't get a good night of sleep.

Oh my gosh this is such a lovely eclectic hotel! And the staff are way out of this, world friendly and helpful! The price is high for an out of towner… but if you catch a special go for It! High marks on all fronts!

We stayed at the hotel one night and had an amazing experience. Friendly and attentive staff, outstanding interior, exceptionally clean room. We enjoyed absolutely phenomenal handcrafted cocktails and light dinner at the bar room at Temple Court. Can't say enough!

I stayed a week ago on a Sunday night, and although the hotel was very well maintained w/ rooms on the small side, I would be rating it a 4.5 star had I not been woken up by construction booming / pounding noises that started at 7am and never stopped. If you get a room make sure you aren't adjacent to the concrete building they are constructing adjacent to this hotel, unless you don't mind being woken up by Jumanji style drum booms from 7am on… I feel like the hotel should alert you to this at check in, and given the option to not be on that side of the building, especially when rooms retail at $400+ a night for a small (but nice) boutique hotel. I had an important test at 930am and really could have used the extra 90 minutes of sleep.

Boutique hotel with a lot of potential in a great location downtown close to 9/11 memorial. Service tends to be slow and unpredictable (eg breakfast meal somehow served before my coffee, check took forever to arrive, in-room dining menu out of date with items unavailable). I have visited twice and unfortunately can no longer be put down to teething issues.

The downtown location was very nice. It's quieter than midtown and still has lots of nice cultural amenities. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms were large for NYC and in a beautiful building.

Yes the space is excellent, but an $18 cocktails should use decent liquor. Was very under impressed by drink selection, stopped by once. Won't again.

In Lower Manhattan, the Glamour of Classical Airs, contemporary art and literature are founded in the same building. The palatial the Beekman has 287 rooms and fantastic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as a restaurant with the popular Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally at the kitchen.

I am so impressed with the hotel. So far it's my favorite in the city. It's amazing how much it is giving life back into a part of the city that has been seemingly abandoned.

My husband and I wanted an overnight kid-free getaway & I stumbled upon The Beekman. I couldn’t be happier that I did! The hotel is breathtaking, and we immediately felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle of home (we live in NYC). The staff is so hospitable and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond for their guests. We did not dine in the restaurants as I wanted to try a little Italian place around the corner, but we did have breakfast delivered to our room from Temple Court; it was all delicious, but I strongly recommend the country omelette, fruit smoothie, & pastries. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with ample amenities. We had a late checkout and made the most of every second. It was a blissful stay and I can’t wait to go back!

A hotel of old times… charm, class is a bar that alone is worth the trip…

I stopped in for breakfast and the staff were very accommodating, even though I had no reservation and was not a guest. The hotel is very handsomely appointed and the staff are rock solid dependable and courteous. A superb establishment so far as I could see.

Great place. Extremely expensive tasty cocktails… expensive because you're paying a real estate tax. The place is gorgeous. Amazing hotel! My wife and I have enjoyed several stay-cations here. If you were to look up hospitality in the dictionary I'm certain you'd find reference to this hotel and their amazing staff. In addition, the hotel's ambiance and amenities are world class with an excellent bar and two fantastic restaurants on premise. I really can't say enough positive things about this hotel.

Service is really good and attentive. Nice bathrooms. Rooms are really small though. The public areas are really nice and the hotel is really beautiful and different inside.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at The Beekman. Everything about this hotel is excellent! The decor is stunning and we loved all the original features, in fact it was one of the main reasons we picked it. The staff are excellent from the doorman who welcomed us, to the concierge team and servers in the resturant and bar. The town car was the icing on the cake. Eddie the driver is a New Yorker who was able to drive us to a number of our activities. He gave us fantastic advice about what to do on our trip and a calm influence in crazy New York traffic!

I stayed here for 3 night. The first night I was waked up by the noise from construction next building. So I ask to change my room. Everything else is great. The decoration and high value furniture are truly delightful.

Absolutely beautiful and service is great but still a bit disappointing. We stayed 2 nights and could hear the lobby bar (and our neighbors) all night long. And the lobby bar is cold and drafty on this snowy December day, even all the way in the back away from the door. There are so many great hotels in NYC. I will stay elsewhere next time.

What a beautiful hotel, great bar. Warm and welcome staff that was a pleasure to be of help. My picky wife was impressed. The only downside seems to be, the location, not quite close to anything else. I would, and have recommended to stay again.

Tom and I were thrilled to book a weekend getaway at The Beekman; every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. Breakfast upon arrival at Temple Court impressed us so much that we had dinner there that evening as well. Both meals were superlative. The hotel itself has a calming ambiance with cheeky decorative details throughout. Warm and welcoming are the best descriptors of the space. We loved our room, it was a great little refuge.
The service was phenonmenol as well. We are very fond of Gordon, who met us at our arrival, who took care of us throughout our stay like we were family. We truly appreciated his kindness.
We will hopefully be back to visit in the near future.

A reawakened masterpiece from 1883. Top notch dining, event space and rooms, rooftop terrace and art galore. A distinctly glamorous and historic downtown haven, which also happens to be incredibly hospitable.

It’s all about location and staff! Cody at reception, the concierge, cleaning and the porters where all phenomenal. There is some construction goodness around the hotel but the staff are very accommodating. Wonderful gym facilities and location. Would highly recommend.

Amazing hotel with great history. The rooms are comfy with fantastic bedding, amenities, and large bathrooms with rain fall shower heads. The lobby, lounge, and bar areas are also elegant. All of the cast iron and stone work is original, from the 1800s. Apparently Edgar Allan Poe and Henry David Thoreau stayed here.

Great bar, beautiful setting, attentive service. It's relatively quiet for NYC even when it's full, which makes it a great place to meet if you want to be able to really talk.

The style of this gem is reminiscent of the gilded age. Incredibly ornate glass, tile and woodwork! A vestibule that is something out of a museum and service that's incredible. I don't like to give my dollars away and feel ripped off. With this stay, I felt privileged. The restaurants, the bars, the rooms were all outstanding. My view was not phenomenal for Manhattan standards and the lobby was a bit dark, but these things didn't take away from my experience, which was wonderful!

Service is excellent. Vibe is trendy and fun. Stayed for business. Every detail was attended to. Noisy on a Tuesday night till middle of night. Second floor room around lounge was a bit too close but it all went away when I hit the pillow and fell asleep. Will be back. Rooms were clean and perfect. Close to everything downtown. 3 block walk to 9/11 museum. Very quiet block.

Loved the coziness, architecture, friendly staff and restaurants as well as the grille work. The rooms are completely sound proof which makes for a great night's sleep! Would def recommend!

When asked about our room it was ready they never called. Offered 2 drink coupons. Went to use coupons and told try the bar it's a 1.5 hour wait for a table. Sat at bar, saw empty tables everywhere asked a different person and was seated right away. Not sure why they have poor communication here. Rooms are nice. Since writing this review I have found out that their system for keeping clients information was hacked. My information was one of the ones taken. Not only bad service, but poor security measures.

We are leaving The Beekman today after a fabulous 3 night stay… wow what a place, definitely my favourite hotel in NYC right now! The building itself is stunning, both the original architecture and the interior design are gorgeous. We stayed in a Studio Suite, a lovely large room with everything beautifully designed. We ate in both Fowler & Wells for dinner and Augustine for brunch and both were fantastic! The Bar Room is also a very cool after dinner spot. The hotel is in a great location especially for exploring downtown and as it was 5 mins away, for the first time we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge over to Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights which is a must do, such cool areas to walk around. I want to give a special mention to Jason on the Concierge desk who was so very helpful. He got us a table at a fabulous restaurant Lilia and took extra time to recommend bars nearby. He also gave us some great ideas for how to spend our Sunday in the city and we had an amazing day. Thanks! I would not hesitate to come back to The Beekman and to recommend it to others.

This review is for the restaurant downstairs. While visiting NYC, we came here because we heard the interior was beautiful — and it was. The venue has an old charm of a gentlemen's club (the rich kind, not the sleezy kind). Looking up you'll see incredible lines from the hotel floor railings. It truly is gorgeous. The service, however, was non-existent. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and there seemed to be plenty of staff around, but no one bothered with us. It took them almost 10 minutes to simply come over for a simple drink order. The food was great — very tasty, but the lack of service ruined the experience for us. I recommend you come to see the beauty and architecture, but I wouldn't have high expectations when it comes to their service.

Stopped by for drinks at the Bar Room located in Fowler & Wells I'm the Beekman Hotel. With the 9 story Victorian atrium right above the bar area, this is a really unique spot for a nice (and pricey) drink after work, before dinner, or during a night out on the town. There are lot of tables the fill up quickly but the hosts were great at accommodating everyone who stops by. Seats at the bar open regularly as well. If you're in the area, stop by just to see the beautiful and unique space!

Amazing food, gorgeous ambience, ask for Taksim he's a good host. Good drinks, reasonably priced food and absolute perfection! Try the Spicy fried rabbit! I'm definitely turning into a regular here!

Beautiful location! The decor is spectacular and the downstairs area for private events would make the perfect spot for a rehearsal dinner, company holiday party, or other social/professional event.

My first night staying at the Beekman. It's an amazing hotel with impeccable service and outstanding amenities. The history behind the building and its architecture is a big bonus. I had an exceptional meal at the restaurant and everything about it was perfect, including the service. Congratulations to the hotel management and staff.

Fantastic building, wonderful bar, great atmosphere, good food. Try some of the cocktails — really delicious. Bar has a good interesting menu and food is tasty. I will be back to the hotel and bar! It's pricey and definitely a treat.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in December. They upgraded our room on arrival and staff were really helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable but it's the building itself and the attention to detail which makes this hotel have the wow factor. It's beautiful and has wonderful character. The bar downstairs does lovely cocktails too.
