Love staying here when seeing my mother, it’s a short ride to go where we need to go with a trusted brand, and the staff here are incredible! The overnight auditor was very friendly, and talked to me for a long time and it was a nice change of pace compared to your typical overnight staff. The staff at this hotel all deserve a pat on the back! To disclose, I currently work for a Franchise company that also uses Marriott as their brand.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! We checked in went to our room to discover that the shower door was broken! Took a picture went right back down to the front desk. The next afternoon they tell us we have to leave! Said we broke the shower room and we have to leave! Mind you 3 teams from our organization are staying there so that roughly 45 rooms! Informed him our organization will never stay there again! And he just didn’t care! Now have a 9 year old who is very upset that she can’t stay with her teammates! Awful awful awful! Corporate is being called!

Horrible customer service and lying/planting roaches staff to collect a cleaning fee.

They planted roach clips in my room because the lady at the front desk got mad that I set the fire alarm off with the steam from the shower. Staff is very rude, they called the cops on it cops called me laughing about it would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! for starters, they made us go down and get our own bedding, elevator broken, pool was cold, our room had missing light and soap dispenser was broken. Stayed almost 2 weeks ago, card was charged a couple days later for over $150. Called many times, left voicemail, sent emails DIRECTLY to the supposed manager Megan. When we finally got ahold of her, she was completely rude and tried to send us to voicemail because she didn't want to deal with it. She said that she had to call the bank to verify the overcharge. We sent her the screenshots of the bank statement directly to her email. Corporate has been called, 2 separate complaints have been made to different Corporate departments.

Price was okay only because they offer a discount for certain medical patients in the area. Proximity to Destiny USA is nice. Airport shuttle is somewhat convenient but poorly maintained. It doesn’t have a safe running board along the side and there was no option except for me to practically jump out. They should offer a step stool. It also doesn’t run late enough for people who are arriving from the airport. I saw several other hotel shuttles running and picking up passengers/guests well after midnight. Their shuttle stops at 11:00. They had said “we can call a cab for you” but what that meant was they’ll give you a phone number to call a cab yourself. Breakfast options are convenient, but more a la carte options or a self-ordering system that allowed customizable ordering would be better. Not a huge selection for people with limited dietary needs. The biggest issue I had was the lack of cleanliness in our room. It smelled horrible when we arrived but since it was so late at check in we didn’t switch rooms. The shower had brown soap scum in several places that easily wiped off so I know it wasn’t a stain. It just hasn’t been cleaned. The toilet had black mildew in it. The shower vent also was so covered in lint and dust that it looked like it could come off in clumps.

Great hotel, loved everything. The only thing I didn’t like so much was the pool and that was because the water was cold, it needed to be at least at 80 degrees other then that it was great!

Stayed 2 nights and everyone was amazing! Thank you to the great staff! U r much appreciated.

Great facility. Poorly run. 10.50pm and beyond 12am we cannot even sleep. One person making noise from the other side of the building at 3rd floor, and the other person makes a cry call back! Sort of like ingenious communication from the wild in the savanna. The corridor is full of marijuana smoke. On the right side of our room, seems like some teenagers rented the place and their music if full blast, and they are singing a long.
Aloft are special places especially is west coast, but this one, tonight, was a mistake for a silent weekend away with family. And the receptionist is pretty overwhelmed because he is alone, handling just third floor complaints made him stretched and argumentative. Apparently complaints were not just from us.
An in-depth Yelp review to follow, but overall, a good place for marijuana smokers and teenagers who need not sleep on their young mitochondria.

Horrible experience. First remote never worked couldn’t watch tv. Booked a harbor view room and they stuck me on the opposite side and say there full when there were two cars in the lot. Then I get a $250 charge for what they tell me is marijuana ashes when I never smoked cigarettes or marijuana in my life. Manager was very rude telling me basically its to bad there charging me no matter what this is my rent money they took during a time of covid they have dogs all thru the hotel I wonder what cleaning fee they charge people for that.

My husband and I stayed there this past weekend and we felt welcomed as soon as we walked thru the front door. Everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious… I told the chef I might want to stay another night just to eat more of his delicious food. We will definitely stay at the Aloft in the future.

Went here for a night trip away and instead of being able to get a full night sleep we were woken up not once but twice within 4 hours due to the fire alarm going off. No fire anywhere. Was never offered a refund or anything.

Very nicely appointed rooms of a good size. They accept dogs which is great for respectful dog owners.

If you have pets this place is amazing! No extra charge and they have treats waiting for them. Beautiful hotel.

Descent place, but not walking distance to anything and the girl at the bar plays silly music loud blasting from a cheap Bluetooth speaker … makes the entire sitting area not enjoyable … just when you think it can’t any worse, she starts playing crap from the Wizard or Oz. Very strange layouts and small windows, even harbour view is mostly concrete wall, bad design for windows and view. I wouldn’t pay premium for this place, but it is clean and fresh and the lass at the front desk was very friendly. Should have picked the old Mariott that is right downtown.

Great pet friendly hotels while traveling. The price was very good especially when compared to lower rated hotels who charged pet fees making their price higher than Aloft. It was located in a safe area. They are always nice with modern atmosphere.

Room good, clean, modern echoey, gray, quiet. Staff friendly. Parking is a dark lot down the block. Bar food pitifullu sad. Beer in a small plastic cup, wine in a tiny non-wine glass. If you stay here and are hungry call for pizza. Best part, friendly pitbull in the bar. Will not return.

It was quite hectic at check I. It seems they are pet friendly, there was also lots of children too. Our room was on the top floor and very quiet and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Myself and work friends came here for happy hour. What a bust! A glass of wine and a vodka on the rocks cost $25. Get out of here! In order food for our table. 10 chicken wings, a basket of fries and Mac and cheese which ended up being a Kraft Easy Mac cup, for $31. I can’t even. The service was poor. The food was worse. Thumbs way down.

Pros: Location was great for a trip to the amphitheater and state fair. Easily walked to Centro shuttle at Destiny Mall. Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. Cons: Staff was not very friendly. They seemed irritated when we asked for assistance with directions and gave us incorrect information about shuttle service available. Would likely try a different hotel for next visit.

Wow, what a change of scenery. Great location — Centrally located 3 minutes from the shopping mall. Well within walking distance. 5 minute uber ride to downtown Syracuse. The rooms were very quiet and clean. The beds were soo soft, fell asleep within minutes of putting my head on the pillow. The decor in the hotel was stylish and very modern. I really was pleasantly surprised! Bravo!

Pretty good overall. Rooms are small but comfortable. Customer service seems to be an issue. Checking in was quick and easy. Checking out the next morning was a bit more difficult because there was nobody at the front desk. I had to wait for a shuttle driver to come in and get somebody from the back.

Cool, funky, modern and reasonable! Beds are comfortable and I love the Bliss product toiletries. Friendly staff and I will definitely stay at an Aloft hotel again.

Very disappointing! Specifically requested room with view of harbor and we were assured we had room with view of harbor. Upon arrival we were told our room did not have view but after much posturing manager said he would give us a room with a view of the harbor from those he held in reserve. Our room was a large handicap accessible room with a view of a parking lot full of buses. We were able to see the buses all night because our shades would not close (closing one resul…ted in the other opening all the way). Called twice for help — no one ever showed up. Lights were shining into our room all night. We had no privacy. To make matters worse the electronically controlled shades would randomly turn on/off causing one side to close while fully opening the other throughout the night. The “restaurant” was a very limited bar food menu run through the bartender. There were no other servers
and the bartender seemed more concerned about talking to his friend than getting our drink order right. Like most hotel menus, food was overpriced. The two main reasons we chose this place were the harbor view (we would not have stayed if we had not been told we would be in a room with this view) and pet friendly policies. When we arrived we received one small water bowl (we were told we would receive a welcome package for each of our dogs including bowl, dog toy/treats, blanket).

Let's start with the smell immediately when you walk into the lobby: mix of rank mildew/mold and chlorine. Sometimes with a hint of old beer. Assuming it's from the pool, but I didn't dare get any closer to that smell. The elevators smell like port a potties. There is no hair conditioner offered as a free amenity fyi, as everyone knows "2 in 1" shampoo/conditioner that they supply in pumps attached to the shower isn't really a 2 in 1 deal; just a way for the hotel to save money I guess. Getting my room cleaned was a struggle. The housekeeper was confused that I wanted my room cleaned, although I was told multiple times that daily housekeeping was included (and they only supplied 2 towels so I at least needed those changed). Walls are thin, I could hear the person on the other side of the bathroom going. Also the parking lot is quite a haul and you have to cross a moderately busy street with all of your bags. The women who checked me out were nice and helpful, but for the rest of my stay the employees looked like they didn't want to be bothered. Would not choose to stay here again.

Up and coming location. Lobby is bright and modern, nice bar that gets busy on weekend nights, it appears. Stayed in a King room, bed was comfy, bathroom was nice, lots of ports for charging all your electronics. Rooms are small, but well designed and I didn't feel like we lacked space at any time. Pool is small but nice.

Fun and funky, this was our first experience with the Aloft chain. Check in was easy, you pay for each item in an Ala carte breakfast, and the whole hotel was clean. The shuttle driver was awesome. This particular hotel is a mile or so away from the ginormous Destiny mall. Rates were reasonable and competitive.

Amazing customer service! We were walking our dog around the inner harbor and stopped in to ask for a cup of water for him. An employee gave us a collapsible bowl full of water, waste bags, and a small frisbee toy. Such generosity! Would highly recommend. Thank you again.

Very modern and cool feel! Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff! Good environment and fun feel! Rooms are not the largest but are very well appointed and have a high quality feel. Great views of the canal, and the sunset from your room. They had a great little machine that made delicious lattes at your command! This was incredible in the morning! :) The only complaint I can think of is that the parking could be better… the main parking (which is small) is across the street. Although they do offer a convenient shuttle service!

This is a modern interpretation of a hotel. They have dedicated charging ports throughout the facility and the decor is very unique and new. The rooms are nice and well designed. I like how they have the clothes closet incorporated into the bathroom to make it a changing room as well. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Staff was very friendly. Interior is modern and clean. Free shuttle to anywhere is a nice bonus. Guests below us and in the courtyard were a bit loud during the night. It would have been nice if the room we a bit more soundproof given the noise level we heard. Parking lot across the street is a little less than ideal, but parking is free.

It was better than we expected for the price we paid. Heated pool, very hipster/classy vibe, and free shuttle service was provided to anywhere within 3 mile radius which included destiny is a and armory square. I would recommend this place and would stay again. No complimentary breakfast though but that's fine by us.

We stayed here one night when in town for a show. Love the concrete floors and lobby. It all looks very fresh and new. It was snowy and cold so the parking being across the street was a bit of a bummer but really not bad at all. I liked that there was at least a crosswalk to it. When we got to the room it was nice and looked new. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn’t great. There’s a pocket door to the toilet and shower area. The inside of the door looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned since they opened. The sweat from the showers had left drip marks all up and down it. The vent in the shower was black with dirt. The water pressure wasn’t even enough to wash the shampoo out of my hair. During the night our heater/air conditioner sounded like it had stones rolling around in it (just a description as I know that wasn’t the case). I was staying with another person that was a very heavy sleeper so I didnt want to address the issue at midnight so decided to wait until morning. Every time it would kick on it would wake me from a sound sleep. It was awful. Front desk was sympathetic and I was satisfied. Breakfast is a joke though. A regular size chobani yogurt was $3 and a banana was $2! You have to pay for toast, English muffins and bagels too. Very expensive but hey if you don’t want it you don’t have to buy it. Except there’s no sign saying that you have to pay for any of it and there’s no prices on anything! Making you assume that the toaster items are complimentary. NOPE!

My wife and I stayed one night. Very happy overall. Spent a good amount of time at the Bar with Tony and he was fantastic. Taylor was also very helpful when checking in. Will go back.

Funky and fresh atmosphere. The refuel station is like vending machines on steroids and the live performances are out of this world. They have Wednesday night trivia night and a bar (WXYZ)! From cleanliness of rooms to the super outgoing staff, its a hotel you must check out!

Very clean. All Aloft hotels are pet friendly, which made this the perfect place for us. The location is perfect. We could see destiny mall from out window and there were tree lined walkways next to the harbor. The rooms are lovely and modern and the sheets were very crisp and clean.

Modern. Clean. Dog-friendly. Nice atmosphere with live music on check-in and fireplace. Horrible, stale “food” at bar… Extremely loud hvac in room. Could not be turned off.

Beautiful place in the summer time. I generally walk by. But really nice. I like to ride my bike through there.

Had family staying there — they had a blast, and when we stopped by to pick them up everything was clean and well cared for. Loved all the extras for pets as well (water and milkbones at check in — great idea) — very pet friendly hotel!

A really nice newer hotel. Funky decor and true to its name — loft like rooms. We checked I inat night and was greeted by live entertainment in the lobby by the hotel bar. The hotel is right by the water and there's not much within walking distance. Destiny mall is a short drive away.

Great use of space in the rooms. Very comfortable beds. There's a good tail that goes right past the hotel and up the inner harbor if you need to stretch your legs.

We originally recommended other people to this hotel as it was located close to an event we were hosting. Little disappointed with their service. Most hotels offer a 24 hour notice of reservation cancellation without a penalty fee or surcharge. The Loft wants a 1 week notice. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

I thought the rooms were up to date and modern… but breakfast was weird. You go to a little window and put in an order — if I had to do it again I would not have paid in advance for breakfast when I booked the room… it is definitely not worth the price. Also, it is a fairly loud hotel, I could hear everyone in the halls, definitely more sound proofing needed… Air conditioner was very loud in the room and the thermostat was very finicky to set at the right temp. But lovely pool and lots of places to sit & chat outside. Short walk to Destiny USA mall.

Very nice and modern hotel on the Inner Harbor in Syracuse — really nice to see this beautiful area finally being developed. There's a great indoor pool here, wonderful outdoor areas to sit — and a bar and basic deli/store to buy prepared foods and supplies you may need when staying here. The rooms are modern and unique!

Hotel has Bliss bath products, some nice views of the inner harbor, and is pet friendly. We had a few drinks at the bar, and got snacks at the Refuel shop. The bed was cozy, and I liked the Bluetooth alarm clock. Nicole, the woman at the front desk, is a miracle worker! When we first arrived, our room had some maintenance problems. She did her best to get someone to repair them since maintenance had left for the day. When they weren't able to be repaired, she made sure we were moved, and gave us a free drink for the hotel bar, for our trouble.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Beautiful rooms and amazing staff! The bartender Tony was the BEST bartender ever. I live an hour and a half away and came here for a little getaway. But I can tell you im coming back very soon just to hang with the bartender and relax in a nice room again!

Super modern and clean. Rooms are spacious. Easy access from the highway, and into downtown. Close to the Carrousel Mall, and a short drive to "downtown". They even have Dog Waste stations for your pets. I would recommend going. Con: nothing really to do around the immediate neighborhood.

My wife and I loved it. We took our honeymoon here. The hosts where very nice and always greeted us with a smile. They even brought complimentary wine and cheesecake to our room!

Really cool hotel! Rooms are set up almost dorm style. No free breakfast. Microwave in lobby, fridge in room. Cool outside walking area. Mall within walking distance.

Accommodating in ever Yb possible way. Charlene at the bar is perhaps an actual superhero. Unconfirmed but heavily suspected. Place is gorgeous, clean, and fresh. Unreal view of the sunset over the water. Now… what you did for my B-Day Charlene, is so far beyond what is expected on the greatest of days… meant a lot to me and my family. Thanks so much.

Great stay at a great, new, spotless, upscale place! A modern touch done right with very friendly staff! The location was central to everything. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful! Staff was so very nice and loved the room, the pool and the breakfast. I did feel bad for the cleaners that some people trashed the pool area by leaving their dishes out (with leftover food on) there and cups and towels thrown. People should treat it as to how they'd be at their own place. Next time we stay we're staying two days instead of one.

Super nice hotel! It's beautiful, and it's so clean and organized too. Pool and pool area is great. Lounge and lobby is fun, stylish, and welcoming. They've got fresh flowers everywhere and their Blueberry Highball at the bar is fantastic.

My favorite hotel in Syracuse. It's modern, clean, and chic. Bar and family area downstairs is great, complete with snacks, board games, and even live music on weekends. Gym is adequate, pool is nice too. I always put my family here when they come visit, and steer clear of old hotels like Crowne Plaza and Genesee Grand. Also, Aloft is close to the harbor and the Destiny USA mall, two great places to hang out.

Thoughtful, supportive staff, meeting our every need. European vibe. Smart design throughout. (Electronic window shades and alarm clock needed tutorials… slightly too loud lobby music, but I'm probably showing my age if I say that). Overall hip, welcoming, clean.

Very modern and stylish hotel for a very good price. Hot showers, very comfortable beds. Under 5 minutes away from Destiny USA. Very nice pool and excercise room. The view from my room was that of a school bus parking lot, but it IS downtown Syracuse, after all. Food is a bit on the pricey side when ordering from the in house restaurant, but other than that, I would most definitely stay again! Awesome place to rest your head.

We usually stay at the Sheraton but this time we stayed here for our x-mas shopping weekend getaway because the price was really good. The location is on the harbor and is close to Destiny Mall; free parking in a lot adjacent to the hotel. Friendly reception staff who were very helpful. Smaller room but comfortable bed with great bathroom. Breakfast was available however costly so we decided to venture out instead and we went a very good highly recommend local dinner.

I did not and visiting inside but outside is beautiful with tremendous view.
