Review of Mirbeau Inn & Spa - Skaneateles 4*

Never received the compensation voucher after dream weekend turned into an agony! _____________ My husband took me and our 11 months old son to Mirabeau Resort for a post Mother’s day sweet surprise. It was for July 4th weakened this year. I am sure we all remember how scorching hot it was in East Coast during that time. After driving 6+ hours we arrived at the resort and I was instantly impressed by the place. But that excitement ended as soon as we walked in to our room (suite#522). The room was like sauna due to a malfunctioning air-conditioner. We were surprised that they didn’t have daily maintenance check for each suite. They sent someone to take look at it after we informed front desk. We had to feed and take care of the baby in the heat while they were working on it. Not to mention how tired we all were after a long drive and baby needed a nap. But we were supportive and patient. Then they told us it might take lot longer than they thought. So we decided to go out eat so they could continue to work on it. Room temperature was still reading 95 when we came back. So we called again and found out that air-condition would not be fixed, and need more time. Also, they could not move us to different room either. They suggested that we check in a hotel nearby. So, we made an agreement that we would leave and they would send us a voucher and we would come back later date. By then it was already 9 pm. We drove another 6 hours and arrived at our destination around 3 am. Imagine doing all that driving with an infant in same day! Our consolation was that at least they had offered us some compensation for all those inconveniences. It’s been over a month we haven’t received neither the voucher, nor a phone call return. We gave up and also our friends who had some interest to visit this place initially. Any resort with 4 or 5 star rating should have more dignity and keep their words. Should not tell customer a lie or promise something they never intend to deliver! Also need to improve facility and equipment maintenance for sure.
