We stay at comfort inn suites most times when we travel. By far this is the worst room we have ever stayed in with this chain. The staff was very pleasant except when I called. And said the curtains were ripped and the inside of the fridge was broken. There was black. Mold all over the mirror in the bathroom hair in the sink and wallpaper peeling off. There was a funky mildew smell in the hallways but not in our room. When I called the front desk they said they would. Document our complaints. O offer of a another room. Nothing. Wth! after my husband and I talked we didnt ask to be moved fearing g the next room. Would be worse.! I am glad I bring our own bedding as. Well as. Cleaning supplies. As the comforter and sheets were damp unsure from being washed or someone spilled. Something on it. I strip the beds all down cause I check anywhere we go for. Bed bugs. No bugs thank God! the pool was very pretty and looked. Clean. Pool deck needed a good cleaning g so we wore flip flops. The food area was nice and clean. The bartender and kitchen staff were awesome and food good! the breakfast was really good so. Many options! very upset with our room and lack of staff being willing to make things right! I am shocked they are able to have the comfort inn brand as it does not meet the standard! looks like a turn over run down. Hotel that management doesnt care about.

Awesome customer service at the front desk. Although they were short staffed, waiting to check on took about a 20 min wait, but once it was our turn, the staff was super nice and helpful. I asked for handicap accessible (for my mother) and he upgraded me to a suite! See pics. Well worth the price. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with most breakfast type items. One small gripe. Only ham, no sausage?. Overall great hotel and great staff.

Nothing but problems during our stay. Housekeeping repeatedly cleaned half our room, Leaving cleaning supplies behind but failing to leave clean towels. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 was the maintenance guy who went out of his way to fix the safe. There are better places to stay.

You get what you pay for. For the price it was a good value. They have a nice pool and a decent breakfast. The shower was hot. The hot tub was broken so it kept getting COLD water in it. The beds we're so hard it was like sleeping on the floor! Be careful if you have any sort of back issues. Our one bed almost folded up on the girls it was like all the springs were missing from it.

Well, let's start with age. It's old. Looks like you are walking in a bomb shelter walking down the hallway. The rooms are small but pretty clean. I always judge a room by whether or not I'll walk on the carpet in shoes, socks, or bare feet. This is a tough one. Definitely socks and probably bare feet or if the shower. To understand the size of the room you can't sit on the toilet with the door open, there's just not enough room. Don't expect quick service. The hotel is booked and there was 1 girl (new) at the front desk answering the phone and checking people in (phone take precedence). Also, check-in is at 3, no problem right? We got in at 1 and we were going to the state fair so we wouldn't be here at 3. Their solution? Leave the fair, come back, check-in, go back to fair. Not a very good solution (finally argued that that was idiodic and we would pay in advance for room so we could keep our reservation. You have to understand that we had already reserved the room with a card but that didn't seem to matter. It was the most backwards conversation I have ever had at a hotel. If you are going to swim, make sure to bring goggles or a mask because I'm pretty sure the chlorine to water ratio is 50:50. The nice thing is all bacteria and viruses are killed instantly. It's not a very big pool for the size of the hotel so more than 10 people makes it crowded (there's about 200 rooms or more in the hotel). It is in a good location for us.

Not brand new, but clean and well managed. Many good amenities on site. Good breakfast! Personnel friendly and accommodating. Good place to stay.

This is a very nice place to stay. However the beds were very firm, so you have to like a firm mattress. Great pool and very good breakfast. They have q nice fitness center also.

Air conditioner didn't work. My room had just one window which faced into the internal courtyard of the building (housing the pool & bar) and was quite noisy until around 1AM. I had to keep the curtains closed, otherwise you're in a fish bowl. The place really needs some freshening up, there were holes in the wall where mirrors and pictures were replaced. Very dingy 70s look.

Ok last minute place to stay at. Good breakfast. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. I recommend this place.

My family stayed here for 1 night. We had 3 rooms. In room 1 the sheets were disgusting and needed to be changed when we checked in. The guests of the room wanted to play their Xbox but were told they would need the "master remote" which they were told the front desk would bring to them. It took over an hour to receive the master remote. In room 2 the furnace was broken and making an obnoxious knocking sound. The guest of that room was moved to another room, in between a group of loud, obnoxious college aged boys that kept her up all night. In the 3 room, we called the desk for a mini fridge to keep our baby's milk cold. We were told that mini fridges were not available for rooms with 2 beds but that we could keep our milk in the lobby. So if we needed a 2am bottle we'd need to walk to the lobby? No thanks. Our toddler later found an empty beer bottle on the floor, which was not ours. Gross. All 3 rooms were freezing when we arrived, they do not keep the heat on at all when guests are not in them. As a family we went to the pool which was very crowded. There were many older kids there who were splashing and horsing around, knocking into my 3 small children and splashing all of us without any parents monitoring them. The hot tub was also overcrowded with adults drinking and children in the hot tub despite a sign stating that there should be no alcohol in the pool area and occupants of the hot tub must be 18. Later that night my husband and I went to the hotel bar.

My wife and I spent the period 04/10/18 to 04/04/18 here. We were assigned room 284 which we found rather comfortable and clean in spite of our first apprehension upon smelling dust in the hallway when we arrived. Breakfast was fabulous. It was like a buffet and well garnished too. On our last day we regretted skipping breakfast since we had to leave early to catch up with our midday flight at EWR. It was a good experience and I would without hesitation recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The staff is extremely nice. Very helpful and caring. I've lived in Syracuse NY for many years and I had no idea how large this hotel was. There is a beautiful clean pool and hot tub. When arriving you are greated by the best front desk staff Thomas, Casey, the overnight lovey lady and day time Taylor The restaurant is outstanding! Every meal ordered was delicious. The Bar tenders Jon excellent. He remembered my beverage order the next day! Thank you for helping me have two relaxing weekends with friends.

Really wish I could give this place a 5! When we come to Syracuse, we usually check your availability 1st. The price for rooms are great, free breakfast is yummy, location is a plus, restaurant and bar prices are great, the pool and hot tub area is very nice, and the staff is very helpful and kind. They even have a couple arcade games for the kids and a couple dart boards for the adults. But this last stay wasn't so comfy and pleasing. Don't get me wrong, the bed and pullout couch was. The room was decent size for 2 children's and 2 adults. The bathroom was extremely small, on the other hand. My fiance took a small tumble due to the door being pinned up to the shower, fell onto the toilet and took off a piece of plastic to the toilet, which we reported. They asked us if we wanted to switch rooms, which was very nice of them, but the toilet wasn't unbearable and it was the afternoon of our last night with them. I do regret taking them up on that offer though. We stayed for 2 nights and delt with ants crawling all over our room floor. I watched one crawl up my leg and found one on my daughter's shirt. There were stains all around the mini frig/microwave area and old food under the desk, which I guess explains the ants. I had all of us keep our socks on at all times, food kept away and we stayed off the floors as much as possible. We will be back because we do enjoy our time at this hotel. We will just be more picky when it comes to which room we stay in.

My stay here was fine. The staff were friendly. The room seemed big, and there was a fridge and a microwave. The heating/air conditioning unit seemed quite old and it was very noisy. I'm not sure adjusting the settings really did anything. However, it was useful to drown out noise from the hotel. During the night I woke up and could hear a very loud argument and a TV and some other strange noises. Breakfast was good. There was fruit, bagels, yogurt, cereal, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, and make your own waffles. There is no elevator if that is a concern for anyone.

Everyone of the staff were super helpful starting from the receptionist staff Amanda who booked our stay, she was super accommodating to my family's needs. Checking in was fast and easy, the check in staff were very informative and helpful. I thank the entire staff for their hospitality. The amenities are great. Their is something to do for the entire family. The staff at restaurant/ bar are awesome. The pool and hot tub is great, clean, and fun. The rooms were clean and spacious. To top it off their rates are great. The breakfast buffet here is the best. The staff at the breakfast buffet are super nice. Our stay in this Comfort inn was awesome very relaxing. Hotel is decent all in all. Staff are very helpful and kind. However, my room was a hot mess. AC unit looks like someone pounded on it with a hammer and it sounded like it as well. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the tub and sink do not drain fast enough and leaves still water sitting. My bathroom had both…

Rooms were nice. Hotel was very quiet. My daughter did think the pool water was way too cold. Breakfast at the hotel was adequate with waffels and hash browns however this day they only had ham out as a meat choice. The oy real negative thing I noticed was that even though the outside walk ways we're clear of snow they were very slippery. Whatever coating or paint was used on the rust color walkway was very slippery if it was the least bit wet. It was quite dangerous due to it being slick and also having a slight decline.

Larger rooms with updated bathrooms. Standard rooms do not have refrigerator or microwave. Heat/AC units need to be set somewhat above (for heat) desired set point temperature to function properly. We had our heat set at 77 and woke up a few times at night freezing. Hotel bar/lounge reports being open for evening food service on Christmas Day. Pool and hot tub look to be well maintained. Vending accepts credit cards. Wi-Fi is free and was more than adequate for upload of a large group of holiday photos and videos to file share site (drop box; ~1 Gb). Front desk staff were pleasant/friendly.

I travelled here from Flemington NJ because my mom was hospitalized. When I booked online I put that I would check in between 10-11pm but by the time I got it of the hospital and went to eat at Denny's I was not going to get there on time. I called and spoke to a very nice young lady Courtney. She assured me that she would notify the oncoming person. When I got there she was about to leave. She asked me how my food was at Denny's. She remembered me! The room was clean and neat. Everything worked as they said it would. Free Wi-Fi. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. The young man that replaced Courtney was pleasant and explained everything to me. Her told me where to park and was able to check me in quickly. I will definitely stay here again when I come to see my Mom and or Aunt! I can't say enough about this place!

The girls that work at the front desk are really nice and pretty. The price is always decent. Rooms are relatively clean. The food and beer at the bar is great! Indoor pool if you want to go swimming. Breakfast is pretty good too!

It's nice, no problems, you get what you pay for, but definately clean rooms. The breakfast is typical, and if your a seasoned traveler you know what it means. Front desk is a young group, testy, bit good. They know how to do their job.

The hotel is a bit old. Free breakfast and very welcoming employees. The pool was unfortunately in renovation.

We booked this hotel as a basic hotel to stay over before our flight early in the morning for our honeymoon. We were not expecting much, just a basic room with the ability to leave our vehicle and a shuttle to the Airport. We confirmed with them when we checked in that there would be a shuttle at 4:30AM for us, to which they said they had marked us down for the shuttle. We woke up early headed to the business center to print our boarding passes (the printer was broke, we had to email it to the front desk). Come to find out the shuttle was set to take other guests to work, and they were calling a cab for us (and 5 other people). At 4:45AM we finally just called a Uber to come get us because we were going to miss our flight. We were not all that impressed with the room, but did not expect to be, it was basic and you get what you pay for, but the poor planning with the shuttle made us start our honeymoon off stressed, which is the reason for the two stars. If you are just looking for a bed and nothing more this will work just fine. If you would like any amenities look elsewhere.

Super clean rooms and hallways. Bed very comfortable with extra pillows. Staff was friendly and attentive entire time. Breakfast was above average in my opinion. I would definitely stay again at this while traveling again.

Stayed back in June 2017. I like the renovation and enclosed pool. Seems all things were great and food was fair. I did have a major concern about safety during my stay. The fire extinguisher system in the ceiling had been painted over in the room I stayed in. So, I'm guessing it wouldn't have worked in an emergency. This is a serious concern and highly recommend management staff to do a courtesy walk through on every room and document the needed Safety repairs.

Was a great place. Very clean. Pool area was amazing. Staff very friendly. Restaurant was awesome. Great food decent cost. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices and always stocked up. Will return.

The room smelled like an AC unit that was moldy, the whirlpool water was tan in color, the pool was murky and had used towels everywhere but no clean ones. When I informed the front desk the pool had no towels I received a curt "we are aware". Drunken guest smoking outside the side door near my window woke me up at around 2am. However the complimentary breakfast was good for being free and overall the hotel was clean, the atrium area is nice. I'd stay again if it was just a bed for the night but not for a family outing or if I was going to spend anymore time than sleeping. Would not stay on the first floor again.

Definitely not convenient for airport travel. They are not efficient at securing shuttle reservations. Hotel was average, room smelled of old potpourri, security was sub-par. I would gladly stay elsewhere next time. I do like other Comfort Inn & Suites — I just had issues with the Syracuse location. I was running late in the morning because my reservation for a shuttle was "missed" and although there was a driver behind the desk when I asked, and a shuttle in the parking lot — he stated he couldn't drive me to the airport because they did not see my reservation. That said — they did order a taxi to take me for which I did not have to take however I waited a total of 45 minutes and got to the airport late.

Rooms were nice. Would have been 5 stars if they had a fridge and microwave. The food at the cafe was fantastic. We had a wonderful dinner (there were 7 of us) and the bartender/waiter (he was doing both) was awesome. Took all of our orders and never wrote a thing down! Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the free breakfast was good too!

The banquet room was a nice size. The was the 3rd year this event was hosted here. The staff was great as was the food.

Dirty, coffee (I hope) stained, sheets. A heater that leaves the bathroom ice cold. Barking dogs all night long. Holes in the wall. Towels smelling way too strong of bleach. Wi-Fi with speeds from the 1990s. There just isn't much effort put into this hotel. I travel 42 out of 52 weeks a year, and I normally stay at competitor hotels, and this reminded me why… just rookie JV level hospitality… needs a ton of work to even be considered normal.

This place has become a home-away-from-home for my New Jersey husband & me. My family lives in the area, including my precious niece & nephew. I love being the saviour of their parents & them, as I whisk the kids out from under their parents' feet, who are busy preparing for either holidays or big celebrations, bringing the kids to the pool and letting them expend some energy, especially in the winter months. Yes, the rooms are not perfect, but they're perfect for me because they are a means of making my family happy. The staff is absolutely exceptional, with an occasional lapse here & there; we've been frequenting this hotel for over five years — no body's perfect. The bartenders & wait staff are cheerful & funny, and it always warms my heart to share my breakfast in my pjs with other sleepy-eyed, pj-wearing families. Ultimately, my husband and I always look forward to staying at this family-friendly refuge every time we're in Syracuse. Thanks for the open arms!

Excellent Staff and Accommodations for those traveling to Syracuse NY. Has an inside Pool, Jacuzzi, and a Bar/Lounge. Very nice rooms. A hige thank you to Vinnie and Keana for their excellent service. Very enjoyable stay.

I can't say enough good about the Country Inn & Suites on Buckley Rd. in N. Syracuse. The Staff was wonderful, helpful and pleasant, they welcomed me as a Choice privilege member, handed me a goody bag and gave me great instructions to where the room was where to park and everything, the rooms were spaces and clean, everything I could have asked for, the Hotel was great all around and just a very friendly atmosphere, I definitely will stay there again and I will highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you for doing such a good job Annamarie Gehm.

Great place to stay! Very convenient to i90 and i81. Very friendly and proffesional greeting in the morning by Amanda. Great way to start your day. The manager doesn't take any run around by his employees. Housekeeping is spot on. Breakfast is a plus. The indoor pool is always nice way to relax. Decent truck parking sometimes it gets tight. ANYTIME YOUR IN THE AREA MAKE IT A POINT TO STAY HERE! It's a great deal for the price. Keep up the great work.

Really nice pool and the hot tub had a lot of bubbles. The breakfast in the morning was good as far as hotel breakfast goes. When making waffles leave them in longer than the timer so they cook all the way.

The Comfort Inn & Suites Airport In Syracuse was a very convenient and relaxing experience, yet the atmosphere that it had as a very simplistic and bland hotel was a little bit of a discomforting detail, but I would definitely still come back if needed.

Gorgeous pool, I could go on about all the nice things, but all this is ruined when you can't sleep because the room is to hot! The AC units in both our rooms were at least 20 years old, working as high as they could go our room never got cooler than 77 degrees. That's not acceptable sleeping temperature for most people! Room 257 real bummer. Maintenence says there are only 20 of these units left, don't risk being the unlucky person like us to get one! Not to mention pay the same price for it!

Very friendly staff and very clean facilities and immediate response to complain. We checked in late and did not complain until breakfast time. Their jesture was well appreciated.

I attended a professional training at this location. The facility was clean and staff was friendly. I was greeted by the front desk associate and given directions to the meeting room as soon as I walked through the door.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Great filling breakfast which is included was a great way to start the day. Pool has plenty of seating around it and the rooms are large and spacious. This was a pleasant surprise of quality from a comfort inn. Mattress is a bit soft, but that's just me being picky.

We stayed here for a couple days during the week (Tuesday — Wednesday) to get away. It is a great place to stay. Staff was SUPER friendly and awesome! Very clean, and comfortable. Very close to Destiny USA and easy to get to. Water pressure was the best we have ever had in a hotel. The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is that the traffic from the road is a little loud, but we managed to sleep just fine. We didn't have time to check out the heated pool, bar/lounge, or restaurant that this hotel has, but we intend to on the next visit!

TV didn't work, but overall clean and decent experience. Very quiet at night, no disturbances. Would definitely stay again.

Lies! We tried for a joint room, called in advance for this and got the "ok" from a staff member. We go to our room, which was not a joint room with our relative. We call the front desk and question this… We were told that there are "renovations" being done or something odd about a pipe burst!?! And the smell of cigarete smoke in the hallways is gross! Pool policy — lifeguard can not control guests and swimmers! They try to enforce unreal rules, ie. Two adulta per child need to be at the pool area (one in pool and one out) seems a little excessive. It is like they are trying to keep guests from using their "highly advertised" amentity. Where is the fine print!? You pay for the room you should be able to use the pool from check in time to check out time, with the exception of overnight time. Following morning they had a BS note on the pool fence door stating that "the pool would be close till 11am for renovations" Its obviously just to keep checking out guests from using the pool in the morning Kitchen — staff was nice! Food medioker Usually am a huge fan of Comfort Inn, will not stay at this Syracuse Location again. And to top it all off one of our cars got hit in the parking lot and hotel has zero cameras outside for security!

Warm pool clean rooms, pet friendly, friendly bar tender. What else could you ask for? I live 25 min away and stay here when I just want to get away and go swimming. Very relaxing place.

Look elsewhere, I wouldn't stay here again. Old rooms, no updates they just "patched" things up. I had room 113 king size suite, the AC in the bedroom didn't work, the AC in the living room was very loud and sounded like it would blow up. The room was hot so I didn't sleep well. The sheets made me itch. There were stains on a couple of the pillow cases and what appeared to be a few pubic hairs on the comforter. We were visiting for an induction ceremony at Syracuse university, so we literally checked in, got dressed and left. After the ceremony and dinner it was approximately 10:30pm when we got back to the room and noticed all of the issues. By that point it was late and I didn't want to move my children. The toilet is extremely loud when flushing and makes the running noise for a lengthy time after its flushed. The best part was the food area, it was clean and the food was good for hotel breakfast. When I informed the guy about my problems at checkout and played the video I recorded of the loud AC, his reply "oh, man we have to take that room out of service, it sounds like the motor gonna blow up. I'll get maintence on it. Should I take the payment off the card of file? " I'll definitely look for a different hotel next time I'm visiting.

Horrible! We are from Texas and visiting New York with family and This hotel was booked through my choice rewards (mistake) I always read reviews on hotels and after reading the positives ones I went ahead with the booking, we arrived after a 2 day drive to trash in the parking lot and all through the hotel lobby, trash cans looked like they weren't emptied yes the staff was friendly but that doesn't excuse what I found next when we arrived to our rooms! I have 4 children ranging in age between 7-15 who all have asthma. Yes they all have asthma! The rooms were musty smelling like there had been water damage at some point. We were hungry so we left for dinner and too tired to say anything so we went to dinner and we came back we found ants in one of the rooms crawling all over the table and floor, yes we called front seat right away in which their response was to give us a 20% discount or switch rooms… We just drove 2 days its midnight we aren't switching rooms right now, so the next morning they came in to spray for the ants and change the sheets so my kids asthma didn't flare from the inhalants … We went down to have breakfast in their breakfast area where there was another family eating who had child get sick and throw up right there at their table next to the pancake bar and then throw away the mess after telling the staff right there at the trash can by the food! Who does this!?
