I would really like to start this off with a 1/4 star. We checked into our room, unpacked and got comfortable. We met the rest of our team at the front desk only to be told we were being kicked out of the hotel. They contacted the police to have us removed with no explanation. Now mind you I just drove 8 hours, I was exhausted and needed to lay down. Instead I'm being put out on the street as if I had committed a crime. The manager, frustrated over the patrons attempts to rectify the situation, said "your kind is not welcome here. " I travel with a Bowling group of approximately 20 to 25 people. After speaking with police it was explained, there was an incident with one room out of 11 that were booked. (king bed vs. Double bed availability) that needed to be resolved. The hotel reserved and confirmed a room that was not available upon arrival. Homewood suites management was extremely unprofessional and refused service. This could’ve been easily corrected but instead they chose to escalate their voices, demean our team members and cause chaos. I had no issues with my check-in. I was called a piece of Sh#! By management and taunted until police arrived. They were unwilling to offer information or a refund. Police took our information and offered assistance to locate other local hotels. No one should be subjected to such treatment. This is racism at its finest and people are bold enough to do it, expecting you to just accept it.

Rooms were great and beds were comfortable. Water temperature fluctuated randomly but was the only complaint. The hotel was completely full, so it wasn't too surprising.

Wonderful hotel — super big room! Very clean, awesome bed & pillows. Very quiet — slept like a baby. Melinda at the front desk was so great! She arranged our rooms so my family could all be near each other & allowed us to check in early. She helped my aunt who needed Tylenol — she was just wonderful! I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back.

The very worst Homewood Suites I have ever stayed in. It was such a bad experience that it changed my view of the whole chain. They booked a birthday party & baby shower. So the lobby was loud & the pool was too packed to use. It was full of running, screaming 10 year old girls. The front desk attendent didn't stay at the front desk, so there was no one to complain too or anyone to provide help/service. The next morning I tried to tell the worker as we checked out, but she told me that she couldn't do anything because the manager isn't working on weekends. The gym & treadmills were covered in candy wrappers from young children running around unsupervised & the bathroom in lobby was trashed (probably for the same reason). I had to clean off sticky lollipop sticks, paper wrappers, etc to use treadmill. I'm really not sure why a birthday party of young children were given free reign of the amenities, but it ruined our experience.

This is by far the best hotel my family has stayed at in a very long time. For a family of 5, having all the amenities right there. Is a huge plus for us. Thank you for a great stay.

They is so much to say. All good that is! From checkin to checkout we have had a great experience. The room was great and want we need for our family of 5. The free breakfast and dinner with beer. Yes that is right, free dinner as well as beer/wine. We had a great time and we will be coming back 100%. Thank you for the great customer service from your cooking staff to the hotel staff. It made my life easier with 3 kids.

Definitely a reputable location! One of the better breakfast offerings that I have encountered. The room was great with lots of table and desk space. The entire place was decorated and laid out on an eye pleasing fashion. I'd definitely recommend.

The staff here is awesome, One of the top Homewoods I've stayed at. More child friendly than most of the Homewoods I've stayed at which seems to be a 50/50 split on if it's a good thing depending on who you are. (Not staff, they are awesome and very accomodating) I was a child once so it doesn't really bother me. I'm going on a job in Hawaii after this one and I'm actually kind of disappointed because I really love everyone here and they feel like a great big family. Some of the other reviews mentioned that it isn't the cleanest hotel but my experience has been vastly different. Everything is immaculate and the housekeeping staff does a great job! It's worth mentioning that I can be crotchety and picky and I haven't had any issues with the cleanliness of any area that wasn't caused directly by guests. It's always been addressed quickly and graciously by the staff. Special shout out to the guy with the black hair at the counter (really sorry I don't know your name) Jess at the counter, Melissa who is usually in the breakfast area in the morning, the curly haired and older woman at dinner. You guys are great! *I've been staying here since November and I've never seen there not be any towels in the pool area. It is kind of hot in there, but very welcome for me after spending all day in the cold. I'm really not seeing any of the maintenance issues other posters have talked about and I always have plenty of towels, wash cloths, etc.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. Very nice rooms. Staff is very nice. Breakfast is ok. The kitchen staff seem to always be running and can't keep up with re-filling the food trays. Never any towels by the pool.

It is very spacious inside your rooms and is a comfortable and cozy place is very beautiful.

Pool area is filthy and never has towels out. Room is comfy and spacious. We checked in with 2 adults & 3 children. Our room had 3 bath towels. So no pool towels and short towels in the room as well… this place needs to increase their linens budget yo! Breakfast was decent. Better quality and better staff then the last time we stayed here a year ago. We have tried 5 or 6 hotels in Rochester. Not a lot of quality in this city, so we'll prolly hit this spot up again next trip to the Strong Museum.

Nice suites provide all the amenities a business traveler could need. The hotel Wi-Fi is fairly slow unless you pay for the upgrade, $4.95/day, which in this day and age is unacceptable. The continental breakfast and community dinner was very nice and the staff supporting it was fantastic. Overall I was very happy with my stay and will return my next trip to the Rochester area.

We visited friends staying here. Nice facility. Fairly updated and very clean. No bar though? C'mon! Was easy to park and staff was helpful.

The house keeping manager Karen, was very rude. I had left behind 2 gold necklaces with 2 charms (italian horn and hand charm) and was told not by her, but that both charms were on my gold necklace that had much meaning to me. When opening my package, I noticed the horn was missing. She told me she taped the italian horn on the envelope her self and had two witnesses. I said there was only one charm on it and it wasnt the italian horn. She snapped and said well I dont know what a "fricken italian horn is" I stated that why did you tell me you personally taped the italian horn on the enevelope. She said "I'm not going to argue with you" yet I was just stating what she said. She then hung up on me! So un professional Homewood Suites. You need a manager that knows how to speak with people, ESPECIALLY not hang up on them.

Run for your life. They are racist. As soon as they saw my family & I who happens to be African American, they already had a preconceived notions. It was a very uninviting experience & I would not recommend no black ppl to come to this place.

Suite is roomy and clean. Full size frig, decent clean stove, pots are immaculate, all kitchen utensils thou can think of. Staff is friendly. Nice sugar oil and gym. Their breakfast is plentiful. We had a fabulous stay. We will definently return. (3 adults 3 kids ages 15-3 We were comfy in out suite)

Location is just off the highway, very convenient to go to any location or attraction in Rochester. Rooms are spacial, and my family love staying at this hotel. Highly recommend for tourists traveling with kids to stay at this hotel.

Overall good, clean rooms, housekeeping is done every day. But the elevator was always busy and slow. The strength of this hotel is complementary afternoon buffets.

Wow! Service… it's exceptional. Dinner is served during the week with Debbie, it was a treat. She's an absolute gem. Great room, clean, nice fragrance. I'm very impressed.

Very nice hotel. The they fed us dinner a small dinner the night before the night we got there. It was good and fulfilling. I did not stay for breakfast. Rooms were in very nice condition and excellent beds. All equipment worked very well TVs were large. Service was good.

My family comes into town for the annual family reunion, and always stays here. We often meet in the large atrium near the entry to visit over subs from Wegmans, coffee and sodas. The hotel is always accommodating and kind, and I would recommend it based on the generosity they have shown us.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past few years and we visit several times a year to see family. The past visit once again, our rooms were not cleaned. We booked two rooms for two days. We passed the cleaning staff on our floor on our way out at noon. When we came back at 8pm both rooms were not cleaned and when I called the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do because they left for the day but to give us towels. She was rude and wasn't too bothered that both rooms were not cleaned. It may not seem like a huge deal but when the trash can is extremely small and you have 3 people in a room then it is a big deal to come back and not have anywhere to put your trash because it wasn't dumped or towels on your floors bc there it's not like you're home with a hamper to put them in. Also, as your free breakfast was a very nice gesture, it is not inviting when your kitchen staff treats you like you are bothering them to be there and then talks about their guests in their kitchen area where everyone can hear them because someone asked to refill the milk as he wanted to have the cereal that you offer. I know everyone's job gets stressful at times and you need to vent to your co workers but it should not be where and when your other guests can hear. It was rude and unprofessional. The man only asked for the milk to be refilled, not for anyone to go out and milk a cow.

I loved it. The room was absolutely gorgeous and for such a low price. The bathroom sink was a bit short but thats my only complaint.

The staff was very disrespectful and rude as if I didn't pay my $251. The night manager herself after calling me ghetto turned around yelled at me swearing and talked to me using her hands. The staff accused me of having under aged kid's in my room smoking outside of my room in hallway which was not true at all but made no sense because I was in a SMOKING room. The way I was lied on and treated and handled was very unacceptable and if their camera's really work and they look back at them and are able to see and here how I was treated that night manager and her assistant should no longer be employed there.
