I stayed in a suite here for the fall semester and it was excellent. The owners are very friendly and attentive. The entire place is very clean and quiet as well. The suites are the perfect size for one person. The Wi-Fi works great. It is only a short walk to campus as well, closer to the academic buildings than some of the dorms are. I was very comfortable here and I would absolutely recommend it to any college students looking for a place to stay while they are in school.

I took advantage of the large efficiency with fridge, gas cooktop and an OVEN. I'm a medical traveler who loves to cook. 7 Valley suited me well. Amiable and available staff whenever needed. It was home for 8 months.

Great Retro look, clean and cozy!

The room were very clean. Simple but good place to spend a night with affordable rate. In the middle of the city. Walk distance to nice place to eat.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great location. I went in with fairly low expectations and was pleasantly surprised!

It is exactly what you would expect for the price. Only complaint was a crappy wireless connection.

Extremely clean and very friendly! Fresh paint, rather new carpet and appeared to be a remodeled bathroom. Fridge and microwave in the room. Ironing board and nice toiletries. I don't think they had a continental breakfast, but no hotels at that price have a decent one anyway. Don't let the outside fool you. And most small motels have older buildings anyway.

Rooms are clean and simple. The motel is right in town and within walking distance of most of the town's food and gas.

The Imperial Motel was quiet, comfortable, clean and nicely renovated. Great value. Courteous staff. Slept well in the king-sized bed.

High speed internet, but it barely works. Didn't even manage a full episode of Stranger Things. Clean rooms, but hard beds. Warm shower with good water pressure, but no tub and the curtain doesn't keep the water in. Took a shower and flooded the bathroom. Like most hotels, the walls are thin. Our next door neighbor was extremely loud & had a huge truck he would rev up at 6am. We could see outside through the gaps in our doorway. Cellotape was holding the screen in the window. Duct tape was sealing the edges of the air conditioner. I'm glad no one tried to break into our room. It would have been easy. At least the cable worked and there was a fridge & microwave.

The experience was alright, no complaints but nothing extraordinary. The price was very good, the cheapest we could find in the area. For the price, I would say that the quality of the room was pretty good. But the reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the honesty of the people who work here. I had accidentally left a silver necklace that has a lot of sentimental value, and only realized this a week later, when I was already back in Canada (that's where I live). I gave them a call, and it turned out that they had found the necklace and kept it with them. They shipped it back to Canada for me, and I was so happy to get it back. I am very grateful for their honesty.

A small court in the center of Cortland, this place is basic at best. Very noisy with it's share of undesirable hanging around.

I have never had a bad experience there.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, and we had an excellent night's sleep. We were very pleased with this motel.

Amazing experience. Great service, clean rooms, nice television with lots of channels. Far better than hotel we stayed at earlier on in this trip and much more reasonable price. Highly recommend this place.

Clean bed and room — the odor is a little off putting. Best rates in the area.

It was Roach infested… infested with spiders and bed bugs… nasty ass Motel.

I loved this hotel I stay there because it is under new management high speed Internet, free breakfast and clean rooms, and the managers are nice.

We stayed a couple of nights and the manager did not speak English and my credit card number was swiped and then he wrote it down… and yes I had to cancel my credit card because it began to be used for online purchases… I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

The only really good thing about this motel was the price and the location. I had to schedule a last minute trip to Ithaca, unfortunately on Ithaca College graduation weekend (May 19, 2012) and on a very tight budget. What we ended up with was Imperial 88 Motel, the only place within 20 miles that was under $150 a night. We paid $65 for a Saturday night, which was great, until we got a room — room 109. The door didn't shut properly and the lock on the handle didn't even work. They did have a working deadbolt on the door, but had anyone put any real pressure on the door they could have broken the door and the deadbolt would be worthless. We put a disgusting large chair that was in the room in front of the door for some added false security. The sheets looked clean, and the A/C worked, so overall the room would have been somewhat okay for the price, if the hotel would simply replace the door and the handle/lock. It might cost them $100, but at least people would be safe! If you don't have a choice and you need to stay there, please ask to see the room first before handing over your money — make sure you can shut and lock the door! People were wandering outside all night and all morning so it's not like you're in a quiet area and the door can be left open or anything like that. Also, these reviews all advertise free internet and breakfast — we were not informed of a free breakfast at check-in and didn't see anywhere there could be one the next morning.
