Always a great stay! The staff is so kind and accommodating!

People were being loud in the halls until after 2am. Police were called and the hotel owner still didn’t do anything. Multiple guest complained but again the owners didn’t care. These people where playing hockey in the hallway and hitting my door with their sticks and pucks. I then heard one dad start a game of hide and seek with boys who looked to be about 7-8yrs. They were hiding all over the floor 2 and the lobby running and screaming. Owners still didn’t do anything. Very disrespectful!

At 9pm a bunch of hockey player parents were in the lobby drinking and being extremely loud. They were allowing their children to run up and down the halls until 2 am. I was kept awake the entire time because of their party. They were asked by staff multiple times to quieten down. At 11:30 I called for the 3rd time to complain as I had to be up by 5 am. They said if they get another complaint they’ll send them to their room. I called the cops they showed up laughed with them and then left. This was around 12. In the mean time the children are still running up and down the halls yelling. A grown man was playing hockey in the hall hitting the puck against the walls and doors. They were also asked by guest to include myself to quieten down and the parents just rolled their eyes. The hotel owner should have taken control and kicked these people out. Many people complained and yet these people were allowed to be disrespectful to everyone in that hotel. This is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had. I will never ever stay here again. For $157 I could’ve stayed somewhere a lot nicer and they would’ve cared about their customers.
The place was nice but not as clean as I’d like. I’m just totally disgusted by this experience and the disregard the owner had for other paying customers.

This Best Western is probably the best hotel in Cortland, NY. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms, clean and inviting pool, impressive lobby, breakfast, solid internet, and easy access to rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, excellent service, rooms are spacious and everything looks clean. Breakfast is reasonable and internet connection was stable. The downside are only the fact that there's no bar at the hotel (not sure if it's no allowed in NY) and there are no walking distance restaurants or diners.

I decor is very nice. The rooms are modern and the lobby is nice. The staff was extremely friendly and talkative. There was plenty of parking but the entrance to the main road only allows you to turn right and is inconvenient. Breakfast was good but not great.

Avoid! Avoid! AVOID! Avoid making reservations at this hotel. I made the unfortunate mistake of making a reservation at this hotel unknowingly during a "No-cancellation" weekend. Who would've know? I've made reservations many times all over the country and never did I come across this kind of unreasonable cancellation policy. My daughter attends one of the local colleges and I was making arrangements to pick her up. She had then made different arrangements and it was no longer needed that I pick her up. I explained this to the manager at the hotel and he was completely unsympathetic and immovable with cancelling my reservation — even though it was days before the date I made! Also, he made a lot of threats to sue me if I gave this review. This is not the kind of business I would support and I can't in any sense of a good conscience recommend that anyone would use this hotel. They are completely CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY! I will certainly be letting all of the alumni, and other families friendly with my daughter at college know about how this hotel treats their customers.

A great place to stay! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Care was not taken in making sure that the room was tidy. The sheets were pilling which made them uncomfortable. There were a number of little things that added up to make it more obvious. Had it been one issue, it would have been easily overlooked.

Friendly people, very comfortable bed and pillow. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Free breakfast was fine. Pool was clean, but a little cold:)

Excellant hotel at a great price. Stayed there while at greek peek ski resort with the family.

Very last minute a crowd of us stayed for one night. A big thank you to William Leuty at the front desk who was so helpful. He was very patience and went above and beyond to get us booked in. Very nice hotel!

Stayed here with a large group about a month ago and was overall disappointed with the cleanliness… bed sheets were obviously not changed and they was hair all over. The showers did not drain properly and we found items from previous guest in our rooms. There was also an unpleasant odor, would not recommend!

My son goes to Cornell and during times of the year when a lot of parents visit, most hotels closer to Cornell book up completely. This hotel is about 30 minutes away but I always stay here because the rooms are comfortable and clean and it's reasonably priced. Check in process also very fast.

I was at this facility a year ago on business and when I went to get in to bed I found dried blood on the sheets. Not attempted washed out blood, dried blood. I had to call the front desk and have new sheets brought up. This time I was sent back up on business and the first thing I did was peel up the sheets and I found a bunch of human hair all over the sheets. This wasn't a few hairs that may have made it through the wash, they were sitting on top and could be brushed off. This place has a horrendous housekeeping issue. I don't care how nice the lobby is or the exterior of the building, I want a clean bed. They clearly do not change the sheets. They truly deserve 0 stars but that is not the option. Book elsewhere!

Did not enjoy our experience. We found a fairly large amount of fecal material in the toilet bowl in our room upon arrival. Either housekeeping did not clean the toilet OR someone from housekeeping relieved themselves for our "surprise" and disgusting displeasure.

Carpet stains. Smell in hotel, especially the room. Dirty stairwells with cobwebs. Mirror was never clean, greaselike streaks. No hot water for shower one morning. Extremely disappointing for $175 a night which I understand what's a discounted rate. Will definitely never stay in that hotel again.

For only being 2 years old, the hotel looked much older considering the lack of up keep and cleanliness of the rooms. The carpet had tears and stains all over the place. The sheets were dirty and stained. There was hair everywhere. And it was greatly overpriced! We even had to change our own sheets the first night upon arrival. Very disappointing. And we were charged $50 more after being told we had a discounted price!

BW Plus Finger Lakes is definetly the place to stay. It is very clean, the staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is good. Jim who works at the desk and the breakfast area is very helpful and knows the area!

The problem was with management (not the regular clerks) and the cleaning crew. My room was not cleaned properly on any of the 3 days I stayed. One day not at all and the next the bed was made and towels left. No vacuum and not even all trash was emptied. When I checked in my toilet seat was broken (you have to wonder how well it was cleaned if staff had not noted that) and the remote did not work. Both were fixed by the lone clerk working the front desk. When I finally talked with mgmt. Upon checkout, the male and female were very rude accusing me of looking for a free ride and told me when I tried to explain that they would call the police. Trust me I am not an unreasonable "guest" and I certainly was not treated as a guest. In addition, the ice machine was broke and leaking water all over the floor by the elevator on my floor. No sign or attempt was made to fix until after I pointed it out in my discussion with "mgmt. " and they put up a wet floor sign. The facility could be a decent place with different mgmt.

This may be a very nice hotel. I don't know. I thought I made a reservation, but I never received a confirmation. Then, after staying somewhere else, I received a confirmation — — the next day! — — and my bank account was charged. I am still trying to resolve this with Best Western. Not very happy with them right now.

I am usually a horrible sleeper, but I slept like a baby here because the bed was so comfortable. Love that you still have a real bathtub that's clean. Staff had a positive attitude.

Internet quality is very dependent on which room your in. Rooms are clean, king beds are more comfortable than queens, not sure why… but it's a fact. Towels in the rooms are thick, which is great. Poolside are much much thinner, when they have the towel rack stocked, which isn't often. Breakfast choices are better than most hotels that I've stayed at. On demand channels don't always work, which was disappointing. But overall, not a bad place to stay.

Everything was so clean, the staff were amazing. I had the best sleep in the most comfortable bed. We had been travelling for days and we got the washing done, and had a great pub meal nearby. The swimming pool looked so inviting but we ran out of time. We will be calling in there again on the way back. There was also free breakfast and hot tea or coffee whenever you wanted it in the downstairs breakfast area. Great value for money!

I am putting this out there for everyone, especially to HOG, Harley owners, and motorcyclists, very nice, clean, accommodating, and helpful. Clean, spacious rooms, well lit parking, nice pool, friendly staff. We will be happy to spread the word about this Best Western and it's staff.

The Best Western Plus Finger Lakes Inn & Suites was a very nice place to stay for us visiting Cornell University and exploring the surrounding area. The room was nice and quite big. The furnishings in the hotel were very updated so I'm guessing that it's a newer building.

Good accommodations, decent breakfast, fitness room. I would recommend this Best Western to pass-through travellers.

Everything nice, clean, and new. The owner seems to really care about how your stay is going. He will ask you how everything is and if you need anything whenever he sees you. Beds are comfy and rooms are well kept. Fun looking minigolf next door. The only problem is lack of places to eat in the surrounding area.

We were a thousand miles from home and stayed at this hotel while my wife was recovering from a heart attack. The owner was extremely concerned and helpful and went out of his way to make things easy for us. The hotel itself is new, clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a room in the Cortland area.

Like the 1st review I also spoke with the owner and he was really pleasant. The hotel its brand new and very pretty. Beds were really comfortable and rooms are very espacious. I'll come back here any given time! Love this place.

I stopped in here just to look at the new hotel. I talked with the owner and found him to be very friendly and pleasant. The facility is awesome. Being brand new you know the accommodations will be outstanding so the only concern would be the staff. Well based on my experience talking with the owner I don't think that will be an issue. The hotel is located close within 2 miles of the SUNY Cortland campus. It also a close drive to the Finger Lakes wineries. Right next door is a nice outdoor and indoor mini-golf course that is really fun! I've not stayed here, but I feel that if you do you will have a very good experience.
