The hotel needed updating, for instance there were pink stains on the carpet, HOWEVER that was not the main problem with this stay… at midnight the person in the room next to me started slamming her door… when I and the other guests on the floor came out of our rooms to see what was going on, she continued this behavior, now with a rampage against me that included threatening my life… the night manager had to call the cops and they had to forcefully remove her from the property… when I called today to get a refund, since I believe that if you rent rooms that includes implies that the lodging will be safe within the premises, I was told by the manager Jessica Morey that they are not responsible for anyone's actions and that she would not be refunding my money… when I asked for the name and number of the property owner she gave me false information… I will be making a complaint to the better business bureau as well…

They offered rates for a wedding that had reserved a block of rooms rooms and had to call corporate to book it, didn't give me there rates they offered. Not happy : (

If you want a location for shopping that isnt right in the heart of Syracuse, this Is a good location. The hotel Quiet, clean and friendly. Located conveniently across from a gas station and tim hortons, you are seconds from the highway and about 12 minutes from Destiny mall. Our only complaint was the gym. It was very small and not alot of selection but we would stay here again. Too bad there is not a pool either.

This place is like a slave ship … the workers here are treated like garbage day in n day out … timed to clean the rooms n written up if we take a minute longer … no holidays off or holiday pay. I was severely hurt on the job n my workers comp was never paid. Im living in debt now. Ooo and fyi the comforters on the beds are only ever changed if there was a pet in the room. Sometimes the comforters aren't changed for months … only the sheets. This place should be bought out by new management or demolished.

The room looked clean but there was dust on the top of the headboard. There was no microwave or fridge in the room but there was a single cup coffee pot. The shower had hot water and the water pressure was nice. The breakfast was ok. It wasn't anything special. The pancake maker was nice though. Overall it wasn't bad and would stay again.

Look at the lower reviews, they are spot on. Was greeted by an absolutely rude front desk lady who was irritated she had to repeat where my room was, seriously? I've never been to your dump of a hotel. Room had the aroma of mold and sweaty feet. Spot for a fride, no fridge. Wallpaper was peeling. Flickering bathroom light. Hair and clumps of who knows what on the floor. Continental breakfast included a fridge with fake eggs and a microwave to heat them up. Had a "fitness room" should have been called the treadmill room. For $80+ bucks a night they need to seriously improve.

They wouldn't accept our company credit card. Treated me and my 4 other co-workers like criminals and would not offer any help. Receptionists were very unfriendly and rude. Avoide this location if you want a easy check-in after a hard days work away from home. Not veteran friendly.

Very accommodating. Was able to change my room when the air conditioning wasn't working even though the hotel was full.

We took a halt in the middle of the night when traveling to Nigara from New york. Thought the town was small and the place will be just OK. To our surprise the rooms were great and super clean. Restrooms were spotless too. Good place to stay.

Overall a decent stay. The clerk was super nice and even went out of her way to look up a cheaper rate online and price match that site for us. The room was clean and updated. We got the "updated" room for another $10 and that comes with a fridge and microwave which definitely was a great idea. Unfortunately the fridge was broken, it worked just fine but the knob to turn it down was broken and most of our food froze. Also the heat lamp and fan in the bathroom was not working. The hotel is right across from a large convenient store and is pretty quiet at night. We were woken up abruptly at 8am to the fire alarm going off and we threw on some clothes and headed outside. The alarm stopped and we never got a knock or a call to explain that everything was ok. A courtesy call would of been nice. The breakfast was good for what we paid. The basics and a pancake machine that makes fresh pancakes for you. I didn't see the pre cooked eggs and sausage at first cause they were stored away in the milk/yogurt fridge on the end. You have to cook them yourself. Besides those things the stay was nice and checkout was swift. If I feel like getting out again to a quiet place I most likely will return.

OK I used to stay here all the time and had good results… But this time was horrible… Ants in the bathroom, I called but they never took care of it. Then the beds were so hard I had to leave a day early because my back and hips hurt so bad. The shower had almost zero water pressure, the carpet was disgusting, the wall paper in the bathroom was disgusting, the table wobbled so bad I was unable to use it for anything. The lamp on the table didn't work and the outlets on the wall are so old the plugs all fall out. This is a fire hazard. The breakfast is a total joke. I have no idea what the heck happened from the last time until this time but I will never go back. Room 112

Outdated place carpet stained breakfast included but no choice bread and muffin I would not stay there again.

Extremely clean. Check in and out a breeze… the staff were all extremely friendly and nice… The room was clean. The property clean. Nice breakfast offered and clean eating area… Food and gas close by and it's right off of I-81. If I could get the same rate I happen to find everytime, I would stay here for all my trips to the Syracuse area… a very pleasant stay and the Otisville Spunkmeyer cookies at the front desk were a yummy bonus…

Horrible management had ants crawling around had to bring are own garbage out dead ants on the towels just a nasty hotel ended up leaving a night early because it was so gross and you might get a 300 surprise charge on your card too! would not recommend at all.

Room 200. Was there 3 night slept in bed close to window, 3rd night moved to bed closest to door. Bed bugs I got chewed up… just in that bed. Woke up and they were crawling on the bed 4 walking under the sheets. When checking I asked they said no bedbugs. My allergies to the bites are extreme. I got up at 400 when I found them and got the hell out of the room. The beds have false bottom frames so the is were they are … just odd that most wyndam properties have some issue. Holiday inns never. Why is that! I guess you get what you pay for.

No hot water! Breakfast was not good. Eggs and sausage were in cooler from frozen and you had to microwave. Good o. J. And yogurt though. Room seemed clean.

Nicest hotel in town. Well, it's the only hotel in town. But really, it isn't bad and the staff are very nice.

Stayed there many nights in November of 2017 for work. Staff are very nice and always helpful. The best breakfast you'll get for Budget Motel. On pair with a high dollar place. Clean rooms, and bathrooms. I have always had king executives with king bed, fridge, microwave, and a couch that pulls out into a bed. Would definitely stay again…

Clean, reasonable rate, free Wi-Fi and breakfast. What else do you need for a short stay. Ans its just beside the highway.

Well located hotel has a perch near the Lake Oneida Shore. Thin walls means the neighbors heard me snore. I don't like my flimsy bathroom door. The heavy thick pillows I cannot now adore. Price is right. A deal for us to score. Right across from a perfect, all night store. Great carpet adorns the spacious floor. Coffee in lobby hot, ready to pour. Well located hotel has a perch near the Lake Oneida shore. I'm staying right here one room night more.

Ok value, clean and comfy room. The free breakfast was pretty awful. Sausage links and eggs in a mini fridge with a microwave for the guests. They also charged us an extra $27 without our knowledge for a pet fee.

Bad taste in our mouths… Stayed for a family weekend trip. With 5 kids 4 younger boys, sat in the lobby playing board games trying to keep them occupied. Apparently our laughing and family fun was an inconvience for the young girl working the desk. At 7pm she yelled acrossed the lobby "IF I HAVE TO TELL YOU ONE MORE TIME TO BE QUIET. I will make you go back to your rooms". Mind you there was 4 adults at the table as well. Never have we been treated so terribly by hotel staff. We will never stay at a Days Inn again… which stinks since we are always traveling for sports and family vacations. We were not the only families that she was rude and unprofessional to either! This was hard to write considering our stay up til this incident was fabulous. Every other member of the staff was wonderful to us and our children.

My family stayed here for a fishing trip. The front desk staff was friendly when we arrived. We had to request additional towels because there weren't enough. The door on the side entrance was not secure. No key card needed to get in, it just opened right up. The room looked clean but smelled of fast food when we got there. It did pass the bed but inspection though. The air conditioner was set at 60 the whole time and the room was still very warm. The toilet seat was falling off and the cupboard door to the fridge wouldn't close. Breakfast was lame-link sausages and eggs to heat up in the microwave. We asked to check out 2 hours later than normal and we were told that we would be charged for another day if we weren't out by noon. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel was outdated for the price which I thought was very expensive. Easy access to 81.

Bad hotel. WE stayed there for fishing 5 years ago and it was fine, this time, not good. First checked in and was told we would have a fridge delivered, which I paid for. Fridge did not come. The doors are in such bad shape, ours did not work, couldnt get in room. They moved us the second day to a room that worked, also told us they bring a fridge. Came back from fishing, no fridge, lady forgot about it, they were all now in use. They cancelled the fee for me at least. Breakfast was bad, microwave didnt work right. One of the lights in our room if you touched the wire for plug light would go out. Never will stray here again. The one star is for the light poles outside that work to plug in batteries for my boat.

It was ok… requested 1st floor… put us on 2nd floor at end of hall… disabled. … spiders in room… 1 above bed. … breakfast out of most food both days and was down early 2nd day and almost out of food… toast and pan cakes.

After working here for my two short days, STAY AWAY! Staff cleans with a metal polish spray, no disinfectant. The blanket on the bed is reused, not taken off like the sheets after they are slept in. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep with other's germs all over, head to another hotel. Some staff is friendly, however one girl told me to take my check (that had the wrong name printed) to an "Arab" gas station in Parish. Seemed kinda rude when I called for two days looking for a check that I was supposed to have weeks ago. Rooms get limited time, make sure you check for gross spots before you sleep… Beware.

Hairs in bed, bathroom was dingy, limited breakfast (eggs and sausage were in the fridge and had to be microwaved). Terrible soundproofing, we kept thinking our door was open when people walked by. No fridge in double rooms, just an empty space where fridge usually should be. There seem to be better options in the area at comparable prices. Booked on Hotwire, should not be 2.5 star.

It's a nice, cheap place to sleep but after working here personally and staying as a guest, I can say it does need some major updating in areas. The build is getting aged and it lacks some basic ammenities. The rugs need a serious deep cleaning to get rid of some of the musty oder. New bedding would also be nice.

Great hotel for price! Stayed there for the weekend. Rooms were very clean and the hotel was very quiet. Not a far drive from the entertainment in Syracuse, but just enough way that it made for a quiet and peaceful night after a long day. Would definitely stay there again!

MAINTENANCE NEEDS BETTER INSPECTION PROCEDURES… We were greeted very friendly at the front desk and a few moments later we were in our room. The room looked amazing and the bathroom was sparkling clean, even in the corners under the vanity. The beds were very comfortable, and even though the pillows had GREAT presentation, they were too thick for my liking. I requested a room near a door as I smoke but don't smoke indoors (turns out the entire motel is smoke free), I got a room "RIGHT NEXT" to the back outside smoking area. The television remote had dead batteries, but the front desk clerk exchanged them promptly. The vending machine in the hallway was seriously off level, it made the vending a gamble as I had to shake it a little to get a microwave popcorn bag out of it after putting my money in. Because it was leaning so obviously, it could be a potential hazard to children if it fell on one (this is NOT a good thing). Out back about 20 feet up above the door was a pretty large bees nest, I didn't see any bees (could have been too cold or they were exterminated) but the hive was never-the-less present. Our shower curtain rod was also bent and improperly re-adjusted so the shower curtain kept slipping open while showering. This was not a big deal but a maintenance issue regardless. The shower was very hot and had AMAZING pressure and GPM flow.

June 2015 — Jessica at front desk was very friendly. Rooms are good for the price. $90 king room. Would recommend staying here especially if fishing on the Lake.

Don't be put off by the older negative reviews. This hotel is under new ownership and newly remodelled. Room was sparkling clean and quiet. Comfy beds. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Rate was a tad high for a Days Inn, but its graduation week at Syracuse University. Breakfast was good and fresh and dining area nice. Convenient to I-81. Not much around it to eat, but plenty of places to eat just one exit South.

We arrived late on the 27th, tired, and glad to finally get a room. The girl at the desk was friendly and soon had us headed towards our room. We'd asked for a non-smoking room so you can imagine our surprise when we opened the door to find the bathroom light on, the bedding all over the floor and the room filled with fresh cigarette smoke. Back to the front desk. We were given an apology and an explanation that the room had an adjoining room that was a smoking room. Hmm. The second room had a toilet that wouldn't stop running so we returned to the front desk again. This time she said she would check the room personally and returned a couple of minutes later to change the room again because 'the magnet lock on the door wasn't working. ' While we were waiting we noticed ants climbing the wall next to the juice dispenser where breakfast is served. Not good. Are they in the cereal too? She issued another key and this room looked good, for a minute. The floor hadn't been vacuumed, there was pubic hair in the tub, and hair on the 'clean' sheets. ENOUGH! While I was getting a refund she apologized again. We left and went down an exit to the Holiday Inn Express where we got a suite with a pool for the same price! Finally a good nights sleep. I would never recommend this Days Inn to anyone. Apparently this hotel is privately owned and not part of corporate. The owners need to get it together and stop being so cheap if they want to succeed.

Where do I begin?. Lets see! I checked in on June 12, 2011 @ shortly after 7pm and was greeted by a lovely young lady who was sitting at a make shift front desk and all though she was gracious and very friendly I was informed that the room key maker was not working and that her manager was on her way in to fix the problem. Moving forward to 11pm I contacted the front desk and spoke with "Heather" who told me the key problem was still not fixed and that she would call me when it was. I reminded her that it was 11pm and that I was going to bed. She told me she would slip the key under the door. It never happened! At 1:30pm on the 14th problem is still not fixed and I still have to ask permission like a 3 year old to get into my room which, by the way had no TV remote or privacy room sign. The girls at the front desk can be gracious if you get the right one who is wearing shoes at least. Value reflects service or should so for the money I don't think your getting customer service. Im sure I wont be compensated for the room key issue either. If I don't add to this later its because I wasn't compensated for the inconvenience.

This hotel was terrible! Lets start with the front desk. The lady at the desk jen wit glasses was terrible she took a very long time to check me in and when I was checking in I was given a different rate then I was quoted over the phone when I made the reservation the rate I was quoted was 65.99 AAA rate when I arrived the rate on the paper said 80.99 I told jen I wasnt going to sign the paper because that wasnt the rate I was given after arguing with her for about an hour she changed the rate and I finally checked in. When I went to my room it looked pretty good however there was hair in my bathroom I immediatly called to the front desk no apology or anthing the girl at the desk said she would change my room she didnt hesitate so I am only to assume this happens all of the time. When I went to the desk to get my new room keys (because they wouldnt bring me the keys for the new room) I went to my new room, it looked completly different then the other room I was in it looked newer like it had been redone the blue was a good touch much better then the last room so I got settled into my room and we went out for awhile with my family for some dinner (we didnt bother asking the jen at the desk where to eat we didnt want to burden her she was very busy doing nothing) the parking lot was not plowed my son fell! we didnt bring it to the attention of the hotel because really what would they have done?
