Our visit was perfect. The nightlight & magnifying mirror in the bathroom were thoughtful touches. The welcome treats plus the superb service throughout our stay made a wonderful memory.

Lovely, charming old-style hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Complimentary breakfast was the bomb!

Charming Inn, great staff all around. The property is well maintained and clean. Rooms are small but very cozy. The resturant is good as well as the service. This place is a gem.

We had a lovely stay at Inn of the Governor's. The rooms were spacious and clean and the complementary biscochitos and sherry were icing on the cake. Del Charro is a favorite of ours but we were disappointed to not see the stuffed poblano on the menu anymore. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend stay and look forward to the next time.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Inn of the Governors in Santa Fe. We had the most wonderful time at this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by James (who went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home), we just knew we made the right choice. We were immediately made to feel welcome and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are comfortable and clean, parking was a breeze, and the location is in the heart of everything. We were able to walk to most things on our to do list. Lots of included extras (welcome gift, made to order breakfast, credit at on-site restaurant and free parking) added to the many special touches we experienced during our stay. Every employee we came in contact with was friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. So looking forward to a return visit to Santa Fe and the Inn of the Governors will be our go to hotel for all future visits.

The breakfast was outstanding with lots of choices, beverages and service. I would strongly recommend anyone who are considering a stay in Santa Fe. The hotel is very centrally located near the main plaza.

Everything about our stay was great. The location is close to anything in central Santa Fe. Free parking, delicious breakfast included in the rate as well as a sherry and biscochito welcome tray. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We took the train down to Albuquerque and it was a 10 minute easy walk to the depot, even with luggage. We will be back!

Lovely, well-maintained property with classic southwest decor, beautiful gardens and very friendly, very compentent staff. Great location with easy walking to all the attractions. I highly recommend the Inn at the Governors!

We were there to celebrate my sisters birthday! We had a beautiful suite complete with a wood burning fire place! The entire staff was fantastic and the food at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Rates reasonable, all same features they had on last visit here 3 years ago. Big breakfast made to order and $15.00 off happy hours goodies.

Great little place with adorable courtyard and pool. It wasn't open in October, maybe due to covid, but other guests mentioned they heat in winter and serve hot cocoa if you come skiing. We got fabulous cookies and glass of wine upon arrival. Great location. Our suite was very nice, walkable to town Square shops and restaurants. Nice toiletries provided. In the lobby they have a repurposed cigarette machine filled with miniature local art for $5. My daughter got the cute little woodland baby doll which was super cute. Minor items: Bed a bit hard for my taste and sheets not as soft as I like, but nice pillows and comforter. No usb plugs or robes.

They are always so accommodating. We are a big group that gather there every year and they always treat us like they had just seen us yesterday-Could not ask for a nicer bunch of people to stay with-almost like visiting family-Thanks to the staff of Inn of the Governors for always welcoming us with open arms.

This is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Santa Fe! Walking distance to the plaza and to the capital. The rooms are comfortable. Bedding is great! The biscochitos and brandy make the afternoon!

The best thing about the Inn of The Governors is the pleasant helpful and patient staff. Next is the great location… an easy walk to old town Santa Fe and the plaza. It is an old historical building that has been upgraded and remodeled over the years. There is an elevator in the hotel and a pool just outside the lobby. Afternoon sherry (generous pours) and tea tasting in the comfortable lobby. Free parking and the usual hotel amenities and the in room coffee is Wolfgang Puck and good. We stayed in the unattached 3 story unit with its own separate entrance and stairs to climb to our second floor room facing west. We fell asleep and woke up (very early) to birds singing. The bedding was wonderful and mattress comfortable. We had a traditional room, average size but had everything basic we needed including mini refrigerator and small freezer compartment for our blue ice. Reasonable price for area and especially free parking. Less than a mile to the Railyard. Complimentary breakfast above average with real eggs, plain scrambled and with some with New Mexican flare served buffet style so quick and convenient. Buffet filled regularly, so even when we ate near closing, eggs and bacon and sausage were being freshly replenished. We were very impressed and cannot compliment cooks and attendants enough. Certainly a step above most chain hotels. Even the pastries were delicious. I even saw a piece of discarded burnt toast.

Great First Experience. Clean Hotel and Friendly Staff.

Such a wonderful Hotel! We stay there every time we go to Santa Fe for business or pleasure! They always take such extra special care to make sure we have a perfect stay! I left my favorite pillow in the hotel room and called and left a message for Iris in housekeeping. Within a week I received my pillow in the mail! Nowhere else can you find such caring thoughtful people! We will never stay anywhere else in Santa Fe!

Everyone was soooo friendly and helpful. We are on a bus with 53 people and they are accommodating. They even ran the afternoon tea and Sherry late for us because we did not make it back in time from our tour. The restaurant had good food at great prices.

Friendly staff. Regular rooms are small, like most of downtown Santa Fe, but an upgrades are roomy and comfortable. Sherry and tea at 4:00 PM. Best breakfast buffet in Santa Fe is included. Location is excellent, easy walking distance from the town center and shops.

Cozy spot right by the Santa Fe plaza. My experience here today was good, but not spectacular. The service was attentive but could have been better, which may have been affected by the busy breakfast crowd. The food was also so so, which surprised me because they're affiliated with del Charro restaurant next for where I've had many fantastic experiences. Definitely worth another visit though!

Room was beautiful and clean. The daily goings on at the hotel such as a sherry hour and breakfast were amazing. The lobby had lots of seating and was a great place to hang out.

With its excellent location in the center of historic Santa Fe, and superb staff, the Inn of Governors has everything to recommended it. The only factors that dissuaded me from giving the venue full marks: 1) Menu items are not thrilling. They're fine and all, but this a city with truly amazing dining. 2) Said items are overpriced.

Liked it OK. Breakfast and bar were to our liking. Somewhat pricy for the size and quality of the room. Easy walk to the plaza.

Always a delight to be at Inn of the Governors. Incredible breakfast buffet every morning, manicured balconies with lush flowers growing in the mountain air, private pool, and convenient walking distances to unique shops and galleries make I of the G unsurpassed for trekking the city different. Many of the staff are long-term employees working hard to make sure your stay is memorable. Serene. Quietly elegant without being stuffy.

Excellent experience. Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Santa Fe. Breakfast buffet was included, and was excellent. Kilimanjaro coffee, eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit — wonderful. Nice little pool area with calming fountains. Rooms were clean and well stocked with plenty of outlets and linens. It’s the little things that make the difference. Would highly recommend.

Really unique hotel right in the heart of Old Sante Fe. Fireplace and southwest decorations in the room. Incredible free breakfast. Close to the Plaza and tons of museums and shopping. Have stayed twice and love it.

This is one of my most treasured little places in santa fe! del charro is absolutely the best place on the plaza to eat I recommend this place to all of you vacationers! you will not be disappointed tell'em dallas sent you! :)

Beautiful place to stay. The staff is very helpful. It's close to everything. The rooms are large. There are many things to do at the plaza, lots of shopping, and lots of restaurants. They do have a bar in the hotel.

Educational museum. Interesting historical house. Love the experience. Worth coming to see the Native American arts and interact with the artists out in front of the palace.

Great hotel… awful food poisoning experience! We loved the Inn of the Governors and stayed there for several days with extended family during our road trip. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and the rooms wonderful. On our last night we ate once again at Del Charro and I had severe food poisoning from the Caesar salad. A terrible way to end a great vacation and then we had to travel for 14 hours the next day. I did inform the front desk the next morning as we left (she said I looked awful) and a few days later, after no communication from the hotel, I send an email regarding the food poisoning through their website. I am amazed that once again there was no response! Thus my review….

Quite cozy, with free breakfast & tea, cookies & Sherry in the afternoon. Fireplaces in the rooms that are very quiet. Within walking distance of the plaza & great shops & restaurants.

We had a great experience here. All the staff were very friendly. The rooms were impecable and well decorated. The breakfast was fantastic, with wonderful southwest eggs. We missed the Sherry happy hour. They have a restaraunt/bar attached and if you book directly through them you get a $15 credit to use there.

Del charros best nachos in town.

We have enjoyed staying at the Inn of the Governors for about eight years. The staff is always so courteous and helpful and the rooms are always very quiet and clean. We stay in January and love having fresh wood available to get a cozy fire going in our room’s adobe fireplace. The full breakfast that is included is wonderful as are the sherry, hot tea and cookies offered daily at four o’clock. The location is great, being able to walk to the Plaza. We would highly recommend the Inn of the Governors!

Decent room, good prices, clean. Hosted sherry happy hour. Hot breakfast buffet was included and good. Allowed us to extend checkout from noon to 1pm at no extra cost. Note: they may tell you at check-in that guests get 15% off at the restaurant. Then at checkout they'll tell you that they meant guests that book directly through them, not a third party. That was a little obnoxious.

A great home base for our recent girls' trip to Santa Fe. Friendly, accommodating staff were eager to make recommendations that would show off the best of their city. We took advantage of the happy hour each evening and plenty of water available to counteract the altitude adjustment. We opted for a fireplace room and really should have understood that fireplace meant "fireplace smell. " While quaint, it took some getting used to since our clothes and other items took on the smell. Think we'll try a different style room on our next visit.

Beautiful place to stay. An Adobe style inn in the heart of old Santa Fe, with great amenities like free parking, buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and a year-round heated outdoor pool. Super friendly and helpful staff. Oh, and they are connected to Del Charro… the place with fireplaces and delicious margaritas! Thank you!

Very friendly staff and atmosphere, and a great place for comfort bar food. Has the requisite amount of New Mexican dishes but also plenty of classics that would be home on any bars menu. Worth repeat visits!

Room was charming, and the pillows were quite comfy. We were on the bottom floor, and had cute little outdoor patios that I would have loved in the summer. It was a bit nippy, so I didn't use them this time. The location is great — very convenient and safe. And oh my goodness. The breakfast buffet. Wow. Two types of eggs, four types of meat, fruit, a million bread options — and everything was delicious. My favorite touch was the bottle of Hershey's syrup and the can of whipped cream next to the packets of cocoa. A perfect sugar rush on a cold October morning!

The bar and restaurant, Del Charro, is always an enjoyable experience. The food is good, service is strong and drinks are drinkable. The menu is kinda sparse but there is variety and everything is good. The atrium is the best eating room, but the bar is comfortable and we'll appointed.

We have stayed at Inn of the Governors several times over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The service and food are great. It's within walking distance to the Plaza, so we leave our car parked most of the time. Highly recommend!

Room was fairly basic but perfectly comfortable and clean — stayed that way through some pretty spectacular downpours as well! Staff were helpful and friendly and the bar downstairs had a great atmosphere. Well located with a good amount of parking tucked away under the hotel, although larger vehicles may struggle with some of the spaces! Would stay here again.

We have stayed here three times in an ADA room. Facilities, staff, service, and ambience are top. The bathroom is more than adequate for a disabled person in a mobility scooter. The shower needed a longer hand-held head,, but it was adequate. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in exquisite Santa Fe.

What a lovely hotel, rooms very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great and the afternoon sherry and tea are a really nice touch. Best thing though is the staff, very friendly, professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very enjoyable. A nice atmosphere with attentive service, good food and good drinks. The servings are ample and the pricing is very fair. Show up for dinner early on a weekend or you'll have to wait a bit.

This is a great place, rooms are nice and comfortable and reasonably priced. Landscaping is neat and pretty, staff if pleasant and friendly. Walking distance to everything. We ate both evenings at the Del Charro, good food. We had our granddaughter with us and she enjoyed it as well, she used the pool and loved the cookies during "sherry" hour.
Only complaint I have is internet is spotty. I would definitely recommend this to others, we will be back.

Stayed here for the 4th of July 2016. Enjoyed myself at this hotel. Everyone is friendly and they get to know their guest. Looking forward to my next visit.

The room was clean and decorated in local native American art. The hotel is located downtown for easy access to local shops and restaurants. My only complaints would be limited parking and limited/poor quality TV channels. It's Santa Fe so you want to be outside most of the time anyway.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Perfectly centrally located! Enjoyed being able to walk to museums, shops and restaurants. The inn is older with New Mexico charm. Our room was a basic room with king size bed. It was very clean and comfortable. Good shower head and water pressure, good choice of soap and shampoos and "extras" The AC worked great! We had a corner room that faced a busy street. We personally didn't feel that the street noise was an issue as I had seen on a review posted here. Most importantly is the fact that we checked out on Tuesday morning and that night when I returned home, and realized I had left my IPad at the hotel! I called and they had found it and locked it in safe keeping. They helped me arrange for Fed Ex to send it to me. Was beyond grateful for the honesty of staff in finding and safe keeping of my IPAD! I can't say I would have had the same honesty somewhere else, especially in "this day and age" The only negatives I have to say is: 1) the Wifi in the room was very weak-may have been because we were in a corner room. 2) if you are a tea drinker, no tea bags in the room, but we asked and got to hand pick variety of tea bags from the restaurant in the hotel. 3) I had a taco salad in the hotel restaurant. It was good but the service was very slow — wonderfully nice waiter but clearly overworked. We would definitely stay here again! and comfortable room. AC worked well!

I get the chance to come here a couple times every year and I've always had good experiences until now. Showed up with a group of about 9 and were put off in the side room where they do the breakfast buffet. We ordered drinks and were not seen again by the waiter for 20 minutes. Waiter seemed surprised when we told him we wanted to order food. He got several of our orders completely wrong, never brought refills, and also never asked us if we wanted another beer, margarita, or anything else. My wife managed to get a second beer which was completely different in color from the first one and was obviously an IPA by the taste. He argued with my wife and said it was the same here, I tried it again in front of him and told him it was not. He then begrudgingly took the beer back complaining it was the exact same beer and Brenna back the correct one that was a completely different color and taste. We then waited for 30 minutes to get our checks, being ignored the rest of the time by him and his rude cohorts. I've also never been disappointed with the food until this time. The Texas chili fries were fantastic as usual but everything else was mediocre and the lukewarm at best. Don't know if I'll be coming back.

Great room, great staff, great restaurant/bar downstairs. Nothing to complain about, everything was fabulous.

She, the host, didn't like that l wos sitting there for too long, waiting for a freand, and she ask me to leave.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel is just a couple blocks away from The Plaza, and is close to many good restaurants and bars. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and if you book directly with the hotel they will give you a $15 daily credit at Del Charro which has great food and drinks. All in all, I will definitely be back as the overall value was well worth it.

Location was great — just a few blocks from the Plaza. Walking distance to lots of great places. The rooms were very clean, and the price was great for the value. However, the AC stopped working the first and third night of the stay (in June). Our room was also the next to Alameda Ave. And traffic noise was prominent regardless of the time of day.

Wonderful hotel. Breakfast was the best part.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn from April 12th thru the 15th. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. All the staff were very nice, friendly and down to earth! It was great to be in walking distance of most of the sights that we had planned to visit. I will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico.

A great location, not to big, breakfast is awsome.

Stayed for five nights and wish it could have been longer. Lobby area was very welcoming and was styled in keeping with the rooms. Room decor was south west style and immaculate. Staff were very helpful. On site restaurant had great breakfast with ample seating both indoor and outdoor. Rooms were very quiet and hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the plaza. Would definately stay again if we were ever in Santa fe.

Nice place. Hot breakfast actually had crisp bacon. Bed was comfy. We were in town for a wedding. I had a buddy that stayed at La Posada and paid 450 a night. His TV didn't work none of the outlets worked and something else. We paid half that with no problems. I still thought that was a bit much but that seems to be the going rate in Santa Fe.

Fantastic, reasonably priced hotel in downtown Santa Fe. Close to everything. Try out Thomasito's Southwestern restaurant a few blocks from the hotel. The real deal.

Great place to stay. The bar is full of locals and the prices are fair. The food is really good, although the menu is limited, and probably the best deal in the Santa Fe Area. The rooms are in need of updating, bu really comfortable, and the free breakfast is awesome. Great Green Chile Stew.

We went there for our honeymoon. WOW! These people were all over us, and I mean great. They had dinner sent to our room, compliments of the house, plus champagne. We were ther for 4 days and tgey could not do enough for us. We cannot wait to go back.
