Great stay! Rooms were big enough for my family of 6. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I especially loved the tall slim cleaning lady and the cooks. They were so accommodating and pleasant. Would have given 5 stars but my husband had a bad experience with one of the night time front desk women. He stated that he waited 20 minutes for her to get quarters and she acted as if she did not want to do her job. Bad attitude. Other than that one lady, we would definitely come back. Manager was also very nice.

This is by far the better of the choice hotels around the AC area. It's not close to the beach but I preferred it to the ones close to the beach. Plus the reception here is better. But find your own breakfast place to eat as there is not much of it here in this hotel. But overall decent with comfortable bed. It's clean.

Room was clean. Staff was polite and hard working. Pool was out of service. The breakfast hard boiled eggs were very hard and sitting in a puddle of slime. The omelettes are made prior and kept in the fridge for the breakfast time. The continental breakfast was good.

Great customer service but our can't suite was much smaller than we expected and they initially provided us with only a few towels. Not enough for 4

Had an excellent stay here. Nice price, decent rooms, free breakfast (more than I expected) and only about 10 minutes away from the casinos. No complaints.

Need to fix your map or sign… A lot of your guests are confused about Clarion or Comfort Inn (that digital sign under your large Comfort Inn sign is useless…) Please update Google maps so people can get here. The rooms are what you would expect of a comfort suites. Really please fix the sign or the map.

Clean and spacious rooms. Staff was very friendly. The indoor pool was okay, it really could use a good cleaning. I actually had to get out, because I was grossed out by all of the hair floating around. But that's just me! My older teenage sons did seem to notice or care! Very basic continental breakfast, the only hot item was the waffles. We enjoyed our stay and think we got a good value for the price we paid. We'd go back.

It was the worse ever we drove four and a half hours away to stay there and when we got there they cancelled are rooms we had a reservation for dinner at 7 but that didn't happen and then we had to drive home because all other place were sold out. I will never stay at one of there hotel motel or what ever they have. So stay away they are not nice.

One of the nicer hotels in the area. Seemed spacious, modern, and clean. Was quiet and the staff was friendly. Parking was sufficient. Would prefer to stay at this affordable hotel as opposed to staying in a casino hotel 10 minutes away at 4X the price.

During my overnight stay at Clarion Inn & Suites Atlantic City, I had a great getaway! I loved the hotel services and food of course! It was definitely an unforgettable one and only hotel. However sometimes the service is a little bit slow but that dosen't really matter! I still had a gret time.

We booked the room through Kayak. It didn't say the hotel was under construction and the pool and gym are unavailable. Nor did it say that you'd be able to hear the construction going on while you slept. The room, a king suite, was very nice. There was evidence of some need for repairs but we weren't looking for perfection.

The Best Hoyel in Atlantic city and the manager has always made us welcome. The rooms are very clean… and the staff is fantastic. Well done ladies.

I only planned on staying here one night and then travel to a friends area, but after sleeping here the first night, in their amazingly comfy bed I drove back to that area. The bed was so comfortable, that I asked where could I purchase one. Sadly, the manger told me, that they were all purchased on one large order from over seas. I just wish I could have that same bed at home. I know where I am staying, should I ever need to go back to NJ. Oh and an added plus is, that the employees here are so nice. I felt very safe staying here alone, as a single female. Thank you Clarion Employees.

I read all the other reviews prior to booking my reservation at this motel and noticed mixed reviews. I decided to take a chance and what a wonderful chance it was. My son and I are from Baltimore and this was our first time traveling to New Jersey. Sandra and her staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was nice and clean with lots of accommodations especially the microwave. The continental breakfast was very tasty and filling. Breakfast items included a variety of cold cereals, prepackaged oatmeal, an assortment of breads and bagels, fresh fruits, milk, juices, coffee and make it yourself waffle machine. Sandra made the waffles for us. Just want to salute Sandra and her staff for 5 star customer service. Keep up the good work and we hope to see you again when vacationing. O'Dette & Andre Jr.

I searched for a long time before deciding to go to this hotel while visiting Atlantic City. There are a lot options on this strip, but I think that the Clarion is one of the best choices! The room was clean and neat but had a slight smell to it (went away when the air was on). The service was fabulous and the manager on duty was very prompt and great at her job. I felt welcomed and safe staying here! The hotel is only about 15 minutes from the boardwalk with lots of food options and grocery stores close by. I would stay here again. My only complaint is that the walls are thin so you can here rowdy people in the hallway.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made reservations for this hotel a few weeks in advanced. The day of my trip and while on my way I checked my reservations and the manager canceled my reservations. I had gotten a great deal and she canceled my reservation in order to sell my rooms for more. I called to ask why and she was very rude to me. She tried to hang up on me a few times and when I asked to speak to the supervisor she placed me on hold and began to say ugly things about me. I do not recommend staying here. The manager and employees are very rude.

The front desk man was very helpful in getting me checked in fast. The room was beautiful, seems like it was newly renovated. Great place to stay for a very reasonable price.

The front desk staff was friendly and professional and the room was one of the nicest I've stayed in, particularly given its affordable price. My husband and I reserved a king-size room w/ Jacuzzi, and I was happy to note that a small refrigerator and a microwave were also standard in the room (unlike some other hotels I've patronized in the past few years). Most importantly, not only was the room clean, but it smelled nice! While all but a couple of hotel rooms I've stayed in were clean, the clean rooms were accompanied by a chemical-style clean smell or no scent at all. This room had a welcoming scent that was subtle, but still pleasantly noticeable to both my husband and myself as we entered the room. I enjoyed my stay and hope I'll have a need to stay there again.

We have stayed at this location several times on our way to the Jersey Shore. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel is immaculate. The General Manager, Sandra, is an exceptional host. She is warm and welcoming and treats you like a guest in her own home. She goes out of her way to accommodate your requests. We will not hesitate to stay here again!

We had 3 rooms for a family getaway. Rooms were nice, but each had a weird smell. Breakfast was good, but guests are not allowed to serve themselves. Sandra, or one of her employees, made your waffle, dispensed your syrup, toasted your bagel, etc. Sandra was attending to the breakfast and answering the front desk phone at the same time. No gloves or hair coverings were used. We felt like we were being talked down to by Sandra. The other staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The employees were reprimanded many times in front of the guests. Sandra is condescending to her employees and to the guests. Although, she smiles when she is condescending to the guests. When we were checked out and ready to leave, a linen truck pulled in as we were backing out of our parking spot. Even after being asked, he would not move his truck out of the way. I went in to the lobby and rang the bell (because Sandra was cleaning up the breakfast area). Sandra came out and I told her the problem and she acted like it was our fault that we couldn't wait until he finished his pick-up/delivery to leave.

The hostess was so personable! They handled all our needs!

We was harassed the whole time there. The manager came in our room twice without knocking and I was changing from coming out the shower so I was completely naked. I was embarrassed and shocked that she would even barge in our room like that and she did it twice! I felt we was targeted because we was black and the statement she made around breakfast hours about "she can't have this being a free for all" because my kids was at the table with me eating was highly offensive. We paid for our stay and to say that around other people made me feel like a low class welfare case. The only time we was at peace is when she was off the clock. The last thing that really disturbed me was I packing my vehicle and I noticed she came to the area I was at acting like she was on the phone just looking at me. I felt like I was stalked by Michael Meyers from Halloween. This was absolutely was the worst stay in my life! The manager has no business barging in our room like that. I never felt so humiliated! I find it real funny we was place in the 1st floor room near the service desk where she easy access to us. Never again! I gladly take my business elsewhere and I'm calling the better business Bureau to file this same complaint. We was there on May 14 — 15. I think her name was Sandra. I know we checked out at 10 am.

I loved staying at this hotel and I highly recommend it. The rooms are very clean and staff are very friendly and on point. The General Manager Sandra is a hard working friendly person who is on top of things. I will definitely be back!

Worst stay possible. Clean room but walls were so thin we could hear conversations from other rooms and the hall, didnt get to sleep until near 2 am. Cleaning started around 7:00am so couldn't sleep with noise in the hall, when I complained at check was told I should have call… what were they going to do, ask all the rooms to whisper or fill the walls with insulation?. Room had a musty odor. Room was too far from access point or signal was weak so no Wi-Fi in 104. Room was nothing like photos, bathroom was disgusting. Wish I could get my money back as I expected much more for the price.

I called this hotel and spoke with the manager in January 2015 to reserve a block of hotel rooms for our wedding that October. The manager was very friendly, and assured me that the block was all set up and that a contract was not necessary. We were happy to have found a hotel nearby that was only a couple of minutes away from our venue, clean, and provided a shuttle to transport our guests back and forth from the hotel to the venue. On 4th of July weekend, the hotel called and informed me that they have cancelled our entire block, that there is nothing else they can do for us, and that I was responsible for contacting everyone in our block who had already booked their rooms. This is only 3 months out from our wedding and I now need to spend hundreds of dollars to reprint our invitations because I already had them printed with The Clarion's information. We spent days scrambling to find a new hotel in the area that could host our block, which is now over 20 minutes away from our venue and will push back our ceremony start time and the timeline for the rest of the day. We are now also stuck with the cost of providing a $1500 shuttle to and from the new hotel for our guests because The Clarion was supposed to provide the shuttle for us originally. The Clarion had no remorse and no suggestions for helping to remediate the problem. Booking our wedding block with this hotel was a total and complete disaster.

I had a block of rooms booked for my wedding in September. The sole purpose I booked here was because they had a shuttle service. Well apparently Stockton decided to rent the entire hotel for several months so all of my reservations got cancelled, ya know 2 months from the wedding. All of my invites have already been sent out with the information for the Clarion. So THEY screw me and then I am now responsible for calling all of my guests. All they did was tell me about another hotel, didn't offer any compensation, another shuttle service, NOTHING. WITH TWO months until the wedding! And I'm not the only wedding they screwed. Terrible business practice.

Horrible service! The toilet wasn't working. Called the front desk. The toilet wasnt working. They said they would send someone. They never did. Had to get the manager involved. He was so rude and told me if I had to go that bad I could use lobby bathrooms. I only picked this hotel because of a wedding I was attending. It was so bad I had to write something.

Very nice, professional staff. Upon arriving we were treated very cordially and were impressed with the charm and cleanliness factors. Reasonable prices.

My morning at the clarion inn was ruined after going downstairs for complimentry breakfeast. I took my 3 siblings and we were simply making breakfeast when the manager sandra came and demanded me to take my hoodie off the counter, to make the kids breakfeast and told them to sit down. She constantly repeated it "it doesnt work that way" she was really rude. After we sat down, she noticed a plate of cereal on the counter and asked if we left it, after the kids said they didnt, she said " I guess ill throw it out since nobody owns up to it. " after my parents complained she said I was lying and that she asked me politely. She only acted that way towards me because im 16 and had no adult with me. She is very disrespectful and does not deserve to be manager of the clarion. I seen many reviews complaining about her. If she doesnt like her job she should just leave.

Disregard the negative reviews on this hotel because they are from years ago. Clearly, this place improved a lot since then because I have not one complaint other than the walls being paper thin. The staff was so nice, especially the woman at the front desk. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was a nice breakfast available the next morning. Avoid the high prices of the hotels on the boardwalk and book with Clarion. It was probably one of the nicer hotels in the area, the price wasn't too bad, and it was a close drive to the AC boardwalk too.

Everything was great — value, location, breakfast — with one exception. The internet was very very slow. I came on business and needed a fast and reliable internet service. This hotel did not meet my expectations in that regard.

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from AC. There is a shuttle for $10 per person each way but if you drive to one of the casinos may pay as little as $5 for parking. Otherwise a good hotel for a good price (via expedia).

My friend used this hotel for her wedding guests to book rooms at for the wedding night. Every single person that booked had a horror story of the experience just in booking the room. I requested twice to have the email confirmation sent to me that they said gets sent. Never got it. I needed to cancel the room, and had absolutely the worst experience ever! I wound up calling the 877# expecting to get better service and was wrong to make that assumption. I would sleep on the sidewalk before I ever gave this place my money. Absolutely a horrendous experience. Even the bride has called and complained and fought with these people to get better service, but obviously no one listened! Give your money to a company that actually cares about their guests.
