At first I was upset that we couldn't stay on boardwalk, due to it being 4th July weekend! We really liked this Hotel, family run, so they really care about their customers. Our room was really nice, king size bed, great mattress! Clean! Bathroom was nice with big hot tub bath, shower had great pressure. The best part for me was in the lobby 2 feet from my room, they have an automatic coffee machine! Fresh cup anytime I want! Trust me, I am a Hampton Inn kind of person, I was not happy that we had to go to a no name motel, but I was pleasantly surprised! Oh yeah and smoking room was a plus! Most places today are all non-smoking?

I understand it's a low budget hotel even on that though I would not recommend it. To begin with their free quote expanded breakfast. Your room does not get serviced by the maids every day they do not tell you this upon checkout unless you complain when you find out this doesn't happen. The free Wi-Fi doesn't work. And as we were there over holiday weekend the rates were no longer low budget but Jackef sky high.

I liked the location being close around the city I was visiting and it felt safe. The room was a bit disappointing; dried blood on one of the sheets we asked the manager for another sheet and that didn't happen. The other sheet and blanket on bed smelled like bug spray. They advertise a pool, which looked like it had never been used and not working. Our room was supposed to have a jacuzzi, that as well was not working. Bulbs in bathroom needed to be changed. I would only stay if I was doing a overnight possibly and other motels were booked. I do not think things should be advertised just to appeal customers into believing they are getting something when they are not going to have the opportunity once they arrive. It is completely unfair and absolute false advertisement.

If you need a quick stay in a moderate budget and not too far from the AC boardwalk then this is your place. They have amazing jacuzzi and a pool the beds are huge. The breakfast is not a big deal but its better than coming out to buy it.

Very good and clean Motel where you like to stay a few Days longer and not hope the next one is better.

Motel is so good for a small budget, for a night full of ok, but room service only every other day! We have never experienced this before and had to take care of new towels and tuilette paper after the 2nd day when we came back, very weak performance. Breakfast ok. Don't belong to Best Western anymore!

Place is basic, but very clean. Staff was nice and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Great for the price.

Not as nice as it seemed online but ok place to stay when all your really doing is sleeping after a long day on The boardwalk and exploring the sites outlets and casinos.

Complimentary breakfast includes cereal, juice and waffles. Pretty good rooms and free parking. This is my second time staying at the hotel and I was not disappointed.

First time staying in New Jersey and we chose this place for the price, knowing that it wouldn’t be a Holiday Inn. Turns out it’s probably one of the best hotels that I’ve stayed in. Just don’t go to New Jersey in the winter. Nothing to do. In summer I bet it’s much better. Hotel gets 5 stars and I will be back in summer and I’ll stay here.

Came here with my sister for her birthday. We asked the guy if we could check out the room before we bought it because she's afraid of bed bugs. We looked and FOUND bed bugs (room 209) we told the guy and he yelled at us for messing up the room (we didn't mess up the room and anything we did move we put back), picked up the bed bug in his hand and told us that this live bed bug that was crawling on his hand was not a bed bug, just a bug. He said because it did not bite him right away that it was a safe bug. He made us stand there while he flattened the sheets on the bed while yelling at us again for "messing up the room". When he was done he made us leave the room before he gave my sister back her ID in which he said "Here. Take your stuff. Don't come back. " Don't worry, bro. We most definitely are not coming back. Have fun with your "safe" bugs. Do not stay here. Don't let your family stay here. You will be sharing your room with bugs. I would give negative stars if I could.

Good value for price… room was clean. We left at 10ish and returned at 3 with our room not being cleaned or restocked little disappointing. Front desk person this morning was extremely personable and pleasant.

This place is better than other places on white horse Pike. It used to be a franchise branch of Best Western so they do have decent service. The rooms are always cleaned well and they have just put down new rugs in all of the rooms. Staff is friendly and the manager is accommodating once you can get a hold of him.

Only giving one star due to poor policy. The rooms are nice and clean; don't, however, plan to stay here if there is a blizzard pending. They said they aren't plowing the parking lot, until after 5:00 p. M. Leaving us all unable to depart. Still they want to charge us all for another night because we can't leave. We don't WANT to stay, we have no choice. The roads are plowed and people are out driving on them. The trick is getting out of the parking lot that they REFUSE to plow. Not fair, guys!

Large clean room at a very good price. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Wrote down all the things I didn't like about the hotel on a pice of paper. I wanted to write down how I felt. Didn't intend on house keeping being nosey. They kept it and threw the pice of paper in my husband's face at checkout. He had no idea what it was, but my complaints were legitimate. My first complain was the huge gap around the door. We took a picture because you could see the hallway threw this huge gap around the door. The front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. Secondly, the phone don't work. They said, they don't work when it's cold. House keeping comes every other day, and they don't give you enough towels. I had to walk down to the counter and request them. The toilet in my room, and my mother's room in the other building didn't work. They ran out of excuses at this point. This isn't even the whole list. My mother's room was far worse!

Cheap crappy hotel. Had to switch rooms and very thing was still broken. No working phone, had to fix the toilet to even get it to flush. And can see around the whole door frame. It lets in tons of cold air and road NOISE! So noisy! My parents room isn't any better. Broken tv, heater and toilet. No maid service. Screw this dump, stay some where else.

SPOTLESS! Super Clean! The beds were comfortable, the pillows were lovely! The staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful. Free breakfast offered: waffle maker! yay! For a quick stay close to the casinos, this is the place.

Great room darkening curtains! It was 8:00am in the morning when I woke up and I thought it was still night time when I got up because the room was so dark. Clean and comfy beds. The TV was outdated and the shampoo, body wash products were very scare, they should also tidy their window sills. However for the price you can't complain too much, it's great for a quick weekend getaway on a budget.

Clean and cozy but I needed bedding and my wife went down to get them from the office and she came back in tears. The desk guy was apparently very ignorant and insisted he already brought them to us. I pay close to $300 for the room, I'm not very happy with the customer service.

The hotel is clean and affordable with a decent breakfast, and the staff is friendly. The location is very convenient to Atlantic City, and also to Ocean City if you're willing to drive approximately half an hour (could be a little more in highest peak times of summer). It includes a pool but we haven't visited it. A great budget option.

First off the Garden State Inn is more of motel style than hotel style which I wasn't aware of and don't really prefer. However, the front desk staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean. Nothing is really special about the rooms and other than having a flat panel tv, I would say they could use some renovation. There are the standard items including a microwave, small refrigerator, wall unit ac, iron and ironing board 1 dresser and a table and coffee maker. There is a place to hang clothes but no closet. The shower worked very well and we had no problem with hot water. The rooms were cleaned everyday and clean towels, wash clothes, cups amd coffee were restocked. Overall, this is not a bad super budget hotel.

Within 15 minutes of leaving we realized we left 2 liquor bottles and called immediately. The person at the frobt desk told us he would call us back and never did. We continued to try to contact them to retrieve our items for the next 7 hours. Our calls were blatantly ignored and they fail to use an answering service. As far as I am concerned they stole our left items. There was no reason for our calls to go ignored unless they had all intentions of stealing it. The staff was generally very rude as well. The only nice thing I can say about this place is that their custodian was a very nice guy.

This is an older hotel but the rooms are very clean. I feel comfortable here and do not have to worry about bed bugs. They price was very reasonable work the few amenities I wanted. Free upgrade to a king size room at no additional charge.

First time staying at this hotel, great place. Very easy and convenient to Atlantic City. The beds were very comfortable and the price I paid was unbelievable. Was thinking the low price might be a cheap hotel. But it wasn't. Can't comment on staff, and they serve breakfast early in the morning for an even better stay experience. The room was very clean and kept in good condition. Highly recommended to anyone looking not to spend a lot on a hotel room but still want something decent. Will stay here again if I'm in Atlantic City in the future.

Great hotel for the price! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent. They offered scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to the waffles that you can make to order. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We even received a "welcome bag" with some snacks. Also, they upgraded us to a room with a king size bed and a Jacuzzi. We will definitely go back in the future.

Very solid hotel, clean and well maintained. Good place to bring a family. I saw someone post about bedbugs here: she is a nitwit with an axe to grind. No bedbugs.

Awesome hotel for their pricings. We absolutely loved our stay. Is very close to Atlantic city so traveling between hotel and Atlantic city is not a problem at all. I would definitely revisit.

The room was nice and very clean. The only problem was that the air conditioning was weak and took hours to cool the room down, probably because it was a very hot weekend.

Room was cheap and clean. Jacuzzi bathtub was nice too. Good location, close to AC.

Overall, a great stay. There's a very small parking lot, almost not enough for all the rooms. The walls are paper thin. We heard someone unzip a sleeping bag or suitcase in the next room. Comfortable beef and pillows.

Friday and Saturday charged $55.00. Sunday night wanted to get the room for another night the guy said it's going to be more 69.99 when he Sunday was going to be cheaper on Friday. I was going to pay for it on my credit card. He would not allow me to pay by credit card. He said cash only something really shady was going on. I do not trust the guy at best western.

Do not waste your money on one of the popular hotels if you're not staying in AC for too long. Trust me this hotel was just what I needed. Did a girls trip to AC for the weekend; from here its one straight 15 minute or less drive to Atlantic city. The room was spacio, two queen beds and very very clean. Shower clean, microwave, fridge. Omg I was so impressed. Huge tub, an the sink is out the bathroom which made it easy for 4 women to share and get ready. Truat me, dont hestiatte you wont regret. Oh! so checkout is 11am and It's $10 every hour late you check out, I walked in to check out at 11:30 and he simply said have a great day, no questions even asked about the time. No annoying calls at 11am to check out. I will definitely be back and recommend!

I stayed in the honeymoon suite with my wife. The suite looked nice and included a jacuzzi. Was a little put off at first because of the cockroach in the tub when we checked in. Also the sound of showers running in surrounding rooms is amazingly loud.

Good and clean smoking rooms are defiantly for smokers. Smelled like cigarettes as soon as I opened the door. Small bathroom jacuzzi and other then that it was nice. Found some fake rose pedals behind the bed and dresser (someone is a romantic) but nice and clean.

OK hotel. Very good price for a Friday night in the summer. Location was great for accessing AC casinos and nightlife. There was a large Jacuzzi tub, which we didn't use. Overall, the room looked clean.

Just walked in and was sent away. Asked the guy at front desk to see the room and he said we can just go to another hotel. What a moron. Excellent way to lose business. Good job best western.

Two very nice, very clean rooms we stayed in. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great location. The free breakfast was not luxurious but certainly adequate. All in all a very good value. Not a 5-star hotel but fine for what we were looking for and what we wanted to spend. I would stay there again. The only thing: we had an unexpected extra guest, and so I asked for a rollaway bed. They only had one for the hotel and it was already booked. I have a lightweight fold up army cot that I brought and they provided sheets etc so it worked out but I thought it was odd that they only had one.

I booked this place for one night stay, however after reading some reviews on other websites, I called in like 5 minutes of booking and told them I want to cancel this booking as your reviews are not that good. Front desk said it is cancelled and your CC WILL NOT get charged. So I never visited their hotel or stayed in there hotel. However when I checked my CC statement I saw a full charge of $103 and change. When I called the front desk he was trying to find a window out of the conversation and was extremely RUDE, UN-PROFESSIONAL, did not know how to speak in ENGLISH, started cursing including calling me stupid, m***** F*****, F*** Y**, We charged your CC now do whatever you want to do. We are not gona give you your money back, call your F**** CC company I could barely understand what he was trying to say. There was only one good thing he knew. How to curse in English. I guess too may customer teach him this. Avoid avoid avoid.

In this suite they had a jacuzzi in the room but it was so small one person barley fit into it.

I booked the Best Western through hot-wire and was told it was a 3 star hotel. Well if an unclean room with fresh chewed gum on the table is 3 star, then so be it. Also how in the heck does someone get their butt up to the hair dryer to get human feces on it? The carpet had not been cleaned in God knows how long and the stench was almost unbearable! The undesirables that walked around with their pants hanging below the butt crack finished off my stay and gave the hotel a rather ghetto ambiance! Those are the cons. The pros are from looking at the hotel it looks cute and charming and the hotel man at the lobby was nice.

This is a really nice off the road hotel and its nice for the price I like it.

Stayed with a friend after a Saturday night in Atlantic City. The room was clean, the bathroom was spic n' span. The air conditioning worked fine, but there was a smell from the AC unit. Otherwise, no complaints. I didn't swim in it, but the pool looked nice. Not sure about the breakfast. I don't think they actually had it. Looked like just a coffee machine.
