Staff friendly, rooms very clean, back patio, pool and hot tub were clean! And open!

So far great hotel, would recommend!

We have stayed here twice a year for over a decade. We have never had a bad experience. It is our stop on our way to and from Sturgis. They have a very helpful staff. See you in August.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite: it was awesome. Too bad we didn't get a chance to utilize the Jacuzzi in the bedroom. Next time! Definitely recommend and we WILL be coming back!

The Niobrara Lodge is always accomadating and clean. We at Dr Scrubs And More would like to thank all the staff for everything they do to insure that our stay is comfortable and that we have everything we need. They always go above and beyond for every guest that stays here.

So grateful for this hotel. Truly a shelter-in-the-time-of — storm as we were flooded out of our community for extended days. Very grateful for the lodging and support of the manager during this time.

Nice people. Ok room. Dated but clean room. Breakfast was poor to terrible and the younger lady on our last day was not very polite to a couple. Outside seating patio did not adequate seating. Need to vacuum the stairway. It was just plain dirty.

It was really nice place and I would definitely use it again. The rooms were clean and very well kept, room service did a good job cleaning up and overall it was a very quiet. I did notice a smoky smell in the hallway but you couldn't smell it in the room at all.

Very nice little hotel. Good for short stays near the Niabrara. Good place to retire to after tubing down the river. I enjoyed my stay.

This place was amazingly kept. Everything was clean and tidy for our visit. Breakfast was well-stocked and tables were kept clean. We had no trouble finding our way to this hotel on one of the main roads in Valentine.

Making the reservation was easy and efficient. Check in went well. Staff attitudes were not the best, and laundry and room service were abysmal. The bed was barely made. Sorry towels were left in the bathroom and the coffee pot was not cleaned. Nice hotel overall. Clean pool and exercise room.

Probably the best you can get in the area. Rooms were clean enough, beds not great but above econo-hotels, rooms have mini fridges. Staff was mediocre (kicked out the pool when rain was on the horizon — an indoor pool), and when I asked the front desk for a towel was met with a "why? " before getting one.

While the facility itself is nice, that cannot make up for the poor customer service that some of the staff provide. The night staff gives the impression that guests are unwelcome and the attendant at the complimentary breakfast was complaining about how she was too busy to assist anyone and would get to things when she found time to. (The request was additional eggs on the breakfast bar by another party) while I would like to say that it was a nice experience at the hotel, the front desk staff provided an uninviting atmosphere for the guests.

While there were issues during our stay, everything was promptly taken care of by the very friendly and helpful staff. We h were even given a discount for the inconvenience the issues caused. In spite of the issues, we enjoyed our stay and do recommend the Niobrara Lodge. We will return!

If you are in this part of town, this will be the hotel you want to stay. Clean, good bedding. It was better than I anticipated. Better reception. Overall very impressed comparing to most of the other hotels.

We had a great experience here. Place was super nice, clean, fresh new carpet, room size was awesome, mattress was very comfortable. Check in/out staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Pool area was clean. If we are back in this area again this will be where we stay.

The place was very welcoming when we arived late at night and made sure we were comfortable for the night. The breakfast was wonderful every morning. The kids loved the pool and the facted that they could reach the bottom on both ends.

We've stayed here a few times over the years and always enjoy our stay. The staff is always super nice and friendly, the rooms are nice, and the breakfast is the usual hotel breakfast. If you're staying in Valentine I definitely recommend the Lodge.

Hotel was decent. The service was excellent as we had a couple issues, such as the light not working in the bathroom, and they cane and fixed it right away and apologized about it. Good location on the outskirts of town.

First of all, this is a clean hotel and the staff was nice. But here was my problem. We get there and had ordered a king room, we got checked in and went to the room and it had not been cleaned. So we went back down and they asked if we would accept two queens? Well I did order king but whatever. Well the manager said just put em in a king suite. Well that seemed nice. We go in and it was not cleaned either. Finally after a third try the front desk lady accompanied us up to another king suite. This one was at least cleaned and ready. So more just frustration. Then I go to sit in the office chair by the desk and lean back and almost fall to the ground because it's broke. My biggest complaint is I paid a little more for a nicer hotel and a better experience and feel like I could have just stayed at a super 8 and saved 20-30 dollars.

The room was great, traveling with an infant can have its challenges, especially when you need room for a pack-and-play. The double queen suite had plenty of room and was perfect for the 5 of us. The staff was great as well! I needed dish soap to wash bottles and the lady at the front desk ran to the kitchen and got me some. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Great aesthetics, pool, free breakfast. Was a really nice stay but the only downsides were that the beds weren't very comfy and the TV was a little confusing.

Staff is friendly, the room was clean, but the bed linens are in need of upgrade as the bottom sheet came off the corners of the bed during the night. The breakfast was good with a decent variety. I didn't have time to take advantage of other amenities as we left early the next morning for our trip activity.

I stayed at the Niobrara Lodge for an extended stay due to a work assignment. All staff personal made my stay very pleasant. Very clean rooms that satisfied all of my expectation I highly recommend this hotel for a short or long time stay you wont be disappointed.

We were traveling with our daughter and 3 young grandchildren in June from Minnesota to take them back to Colorado. I called to make a reservation we were given a suite at no additional charge so we would have more room. Very friendly staff. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. We would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Niobrara Lodge with my family June14th thur 16th, 2013 It was very clean the people are friendly and the breakfast was great. Fresh real eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, french toast, also the usual type breakfast foods. I highly recommend you stay there if your in Valentine.

We chose this location (Valentine) because we wanted a different route back to MN. — — the Niobrara lodge was a terrific choice! The drive here was scenic, NOT the Interstate, and had little traffic. The lodge was immaculate, and the personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area was also immaculate and well-lit for grand-parents who wanted to READ while kids swam. Breakfast was good, too. We would definitely stay here again if we were in thie area.
