An awesome historic hotel with many stories attached to it and maybe even some ghosts. I loved the whole experience and the staff are so friendly and helpful!

This was the best meal I have ever had in Red Lodge Montana maybe anywhere! Great atmosphere great food and service! 5 stars!

The Pollard overall was fantastic! Great server and the food was to die for, however, the restraunt management was over-the-top rude!

Ther service is amazing those guys busted there butts I felt bad for them be nice to ur servers they are trying! Don’t be dicks they are amazing.

The Pollard is our favorite choice in Red Lodge. The staff is so accommodating. The food is wonderful. Love the location downtown. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants.

We just stayed at the Pollard with our three kids and were blown away by the hospitality! The staff was great, gave the kids a stuffed animal and constantly engaged with them! We enjoyed dinner at the Pub while listening to the band and our kids danced the night away. Breakfast the following morning didn’t disappoint. Great place to bring the family!

I’ve never stayed at the Pollard Hotel but frequently dine at the Pub and enjoy live music there. The food is great and the drinks are generous and well made.

A little pricey. And unless you REALLY like rosemary, I would stay away from anything that has it as an ingredient. They don't seem to believe in just a little to flavor. It was overpowering in the biscuits and gravy I had. Also they don't seem to understand that the biscuits are usually broken in half before the gravy goes on. However the wait staff was extremely helpful and attentive.

Had a delightful stay at the Pollard while skiing on Beartooth Pass. It was so much fun to stay right in town in the wonderful, classy hotel which is situated right in the middle of Red Lodge's adorable main street. Lots of restaurants, shops, and cute neighborhoods to walk through and explore. The breakfast was ideal for hungry skiers, and the service was attentive and excellent throughout. Our room had a cool view of Red Lodge ski area, and was tidy and comfortable. The gym looked amazing but was not necessary since we were getting plenty tired from skiing! Can't wait to come back to ski more and enjoy another mini-vacation. Thanks to all at the Pollard and Red Lodge tourism in general. You guys are doing this right!

We had a wonderful dinner in The Pub with friends last night! Not only was the service spot on, our servers were friendly and hilarious, always a bonus when eating out! Excellent!

We dropped in for breakfast and were served quickly. The food was quite good. The server was super nice. The decor was old and well maintained, it was like eating in a museum. I would recommend this place to any and everyone.

Small room but large enough. Downtown where the action is Reasonable price. Comfortable bed, fluffy but firm pillows. Clean and modern enough for me. Good control of heat/ cool functions. Quiet. What else is there to say. 5 star in my book.

An historic hotel in a quaint mountain town. They've done a great job of restoring and modernizing a beautiful building. Our room was somewhat small but was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay. The restaurant was great. I've stayed at several hotels/motels in Red Lodge over the years, but never The Pollard. I'll probably never stay in another hotel again.

Great historic hotel with good food in the lobby. It also has a nice lounge with live music some nights. Central and an easy walk to everything. Take them up on the free breakfast — delicious. The rooms are 'quaint' meaning exactly what you should expect from a hotel of this age. I have not had dinner there yet, but I overheard the kitchen staff talking and they really do care about serving quality food and providing an enjoyable dining experience. I'd give it another star, but I did have a bad experience with a rather rude lady at the front desk a few years back. I have no idea if she's still there, but she was the owner or a manager. Never since. Call it 4.75 stars.

Neat hotel with an attached bar and restaurant. Room was fine and beds were comfortable too.

Had a great stay, wonderful staff (helped with reservation online mix up, not of their doing) went to the bar to listen to the High Country Cowboys sing & play (they are very talented, went to Red Lodge to stay at The Pollard to see & hear them), we had a great time, very memorable.

I am so disappointed and heart broken. We booked a suite thinking the balcony was outside. It feels like your in a enclosed box. I asked upon arrival for a different room or refund the young lady said she didn't have another room and her supervisor wouldn't be in until the next day. Here I sit in my car in tears. The jetted tub didn't function properly. I called the front desk no maintenance on stuff but he could move to a different room. We just went to bed. No water or coffee in the room. We are just so disappointed.

Room was nice. Closet & windows need updating. Very cozy beds & pillows. Close walk to shops & food.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the only thing was that our burgers weren't cooked the way we ordered and the lettuce was kind of old. Other than that we enjoyed everything else!

The rooms were comfortable and very well kept. The problem was the restaurant. Waited 5 minutes to see a hostrss, then no apology or reason for the wait. The food was average at best, no refills of coffee or water, waited 10 minutes after plates were cleared and couldn't get a check.

I wasn't a guest but spent a couple of hours in the empty bar chatting with an affable bartender and an occasional guest who dropped in. I enjoyed the evening.

The room was clean and comfortable. I loved that the windows opened allowing me to enjoy the fresh mountain air and cool breeze. The shower was nice and HOT. Parking was difficult in a pickup, but cars and smaller SUV's shouldn't have trouble.

My family loved our time at The Pollard. The breakfast, included with the room, was very good. You should stay here if you go to Red Lodge.

Love the Pollard great old building nice clean renovated rooms I stay in motels 25 days out of the month and this is my favorite place besides home.

Are you kidding? ) with crazy prices for tiny portions of alright food. All the employees seemed irritable/rude. Keeping in mind I never dined in the dining-room, just the pub. Will not be returning any time soon.

This was our second visit to the Pollard and let me just say that they never disappoint! The staff are all friendly and very service oriented in every sense of the word, the food is amazing and the rooms are very accommodating! We highly recommend this great hotel!

A classic, elegant hotel. The staff is friendly and helps create a warm and cozy atmosphere. In addition, the hotel is situated for easy walking and shopping around town.

Went here for drinks while staying in Red Lodge. Eager to relax and enjoy the ambiance that drew Hemingway and others to this place. Sad sad sad… Why would anyone gut an historical building and remodel it like a Holiday Inn Express? Nothing bad to say about the place, it's perfectly nice. I just had my expectations of a place like Sloppy Joe's. But sadly it was sterile and soleless as any other Holiday Inn Express. Did return for breakfast and that was wonderful.

I've been staying at the Pollard for over 20 years and it never disappoints. Shannon at the front desk is exceptional, and she makes me feel welcome at every visit. Even though the hotel has A/C it is not needed. I always have them cut it off so I can open the windows and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Great location, great breakfast, and the only place to stay in Red Lodge.

An excellent experience for those visiting Red Lodge. A fully restored, charming hotel with an excellent menu and intimate atmosphere. It is not cheap, but the great things in life never are.

I stayed here two nights with my wife, and we loved it. It's an old style hotel with updated rooms. A full menu breakfast in the restaurant is included with your room. Dinner at the restaurant is great. Excellent service and friendly. Free parking is across the street in a lot reserved for guests.

Our stay at the Pollard was fabulous! We had an inside room, so we had a balcony that overlooked the lobby, where we enjoyed morning coffee.
The room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated.
We were celebrating our anniversary and they accommodated us with a beautiful champagne bucket and glasses. We had our "happy hour " in the bar and the staff there was very friendly. Our Korean chicken wings were delicious.
The restaurant was closed so we enjoyed a lovely dinner at Carbon County Steakhouse, but our complimentary breakfast was fabulous! You had your chose of anything on the menu. The staff was very friendly, coffee and water always full.
I would highly recommend the Pollard when visiting Red Lodge.

The Pollard dining room has great service; unique, great tasting food (the bread! ) ; and can be as fancy or as casual as you want.

Sipped on a cocktail and had a bite to eat at the Pillars Hotel. The service was fast and friendly even with it being packed with other customers. There was live music which was great to listen to and watch a few people dance, although it was a bit too loud for my liking.

Stayed one night so far. Breakfast was great. Beds and pillows are okay, elevator is constantly shut down, but taking the stairs is fine. Basement area is a little weird. I can't imagine going down there again. Staff are quite friendly. Very quiet in our room. A/C works well.

Had drinks and lunch on back patio; nice, open seating with sun shade umbrellas at all tables. They were very busy inside yet the wait staff was still helpful and attentive to us. Would visit again.

Great Hotel. History of building explains decor. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Front Desk staff great. Hotel is old but remodeled. Rooms a bit small. Everything else is great.

Our experience could not have been more perfect! My husband and I were celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary! We were able to upgrade to a gorgeous suite (we even had luxurious bathrobes)! We had the most magnificent dinner in the Pollard Dining Room! Omg! The trout appetizer, beet salad and bison brisket was absolute perfection! But, there is more! A fabulous goat cheese cheese cake with berries for desert! Complimentary for our anniversary! Still more! Colter's Hell is on the cocktail menu. John Colter is my multiple times Grandfather. I asked for this cocktail for desert. They were missing an ingredient and went out to get it in order to make the cocktail perfect!
The ambiance is amazing… the service is beyond expection. The rooms, the dining the staff is amazing! Thank you for a lifetime memory!

I had made reservations for Saturday the 19th for the king hot tub room along with a reservation for the High Country Cowboy singers, when we got there the room was for reserved for Sunday not Saturday BUT they had us reservation for the singers on Sat. So I didn't get the hot tub king room, was pretty disappointed about that, after waiting 2 plus weeks for the room and come to find out you don't get it. Pretty disappointed! But other then that it was clean, great service, music was fantastic so I still give it a 4!

Jay makes the best Manhattan in Montana. No offense to the town of Manhattan.

This hotel was very quaint and cozy. A historic building with charm, and makes for a comfortable place to stay. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. Maybe a bit too small for some, but I think it's a perfect for for most.

King suite very comfortable, lots of natural light. Slightly disappointed in size of jacuzzi tub. Courteous staff at front desk and dining room.

I remember the spring of '85. I drifted through town on my way west. The weather got bad so I stayed a few days. Riding a bike in the cold and the snow wasn't fun, even in my 20s. I met a girl that was a waitress in a small diner in town, I can't even remember her name. She said she'd lived there all her life. She wanted to go to California with me on the back of that bike. I can't remember why she didn't, I would've obliged. Now, all the years combine and melt into a dream, I still remember that girl in that town in the Rocky Mountains. If I were a poet or song writer, I'd immortalise her and this town…

The pollard offers an amazing travel experience. The restoration is well appointed antiques, attentive staff, delightful dining, and overall just a little surprise in the rockies. Candy baldwin, copy wy.

Best place in red Lodge to catch a night sleep before a big day of skiing or hiking. The amenities are too long to list but the racquetball courts and grand lobby are definitely a highlight.

"Cozy" is the nice way to describe some of the room sizes, but overall a reasonably priced option with the inclusion of the dining options downstairs. The complementary breakfast in the onsite Vintage Bistro is almost worth it by itself.

This is the fourth time that my wife and I have stayed at the Pollard. As fly-fisherman, the hotel has become a regular part of our annual pilgrimage to the fabled streams and rivers just to the west of Red Lodge. The hotel is remarkable in so many ways. Not only is it well appointed and affordable, even the most affordable rooms are superior and comparably priced to discount chains. The staff is remarkably friendly and the hotel sports a sauna, racquetball courts, gym and many other amenities. The dining room is superb and a complimentary breakfast accompanies every night's stay. The food is top notch and the coffee is to die for in the morning. Of the very many places I have stayed in this country, from the most frugal to the most lavish, the Pollard is easily one of the top ten. When the reasonable pricing structure is included, it has to rank As an aside, the Wine Bar Kitchen two blocks west of the Pollard provides gourmet food for even the most demanding palate. The Pollard is a MUST for anybody passing through Red Lodge.
