This Montana hotel is 1.6 km from The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula and 2 golf courses. It features an outdoor pool and hot tub. All rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi.
The room had stains on the carpet, the shower was a bit interesting to use. Both the tub and the shower had to be going to user the shower head. The sink faucet handle took a firm grip with both hands to turn on and off. That said it had free Internet, beds were comfortable and the price was right!
The only positive was the nice front desk guy. But I have to wonder if the room I was in was the worst one because I had a dog or just all the rooms are crappy. I had to wear flip flops in the shower. The bed had stains. There was a gross wadded up tissue stuck in the peep hole of the door. It looked like the bathroom was never cleaned. Loud. Smelled musky. Also the pool and supposed hot tub was closed because it was too cold? It was kind of rainy, but there was no cover in the first place and a dip in a hot tub would have warmed anyone up. But after seeing the room, probably wouldn't trust its cleanliness either. Good luck!
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Made and paid an online reservation in full, just to be turned away and forced to get a refund. All because we didn't have that particular card on them even tho the room was paid in full. We were in an emergency situation after surgery and the payment was made by a family member 2000 miles away. What were we supposed to do? The staff was rude, I waited in like just to originally check in for 15 minutes. There was a line of already checked in guests complaining. Never again will we stay in a Howard Johnson hotel. Disgusting.
The place was centrally located and clean. Good hot tub. Decent breakfast, waffles, b&g, etc. Small room and no tub. The room wasn't ready when we got there at 9 on and we had to remind them 3 times to get a for that cost us $10 extra. Probably 2.5/5. That's generous.
I never leave in a hotel like this! Terrible enough! My mom leaved in this hotel for a night and the bedbug bited her about 30 areas in her body! 30 areas! We talked to the manager. He did not admit that and said you can tell anybody they do not care. We just need a sorry however he quarreled with us and asked we leave the lobby and called police! Finally they do not give me any solution! No sorry! No any apology! I am so pity for the hotel shows in America! So pity!
Functional. The room wasn't anything special at all. One of the electronic outlets had clearly caught fire at one point and never been fixed. Nothing special about this hotel, but if you need a place to sleep and only to sleep, it will serve.
I went into my bathroom to find bugs in the bathtub as well as the toliet clogged. When I went to let the staff know about my problem the manager said it had to of been me. I couldnt exchange rooms and they wouldnt give me a refund.
If I could give this Hotel 0 stars if I could. I was in billings for a work trip. We payed for 4 rooms. I entered my room and a very foul order was present in the room.
It was late so I figured open the windows deal with it. I was very tired from a 12 hr drive.
so I got in the bed. By my feet and back of my legs I felt a wet spot.
I pulled back the blankets only to see yellow wet spot.
smelled it it was urine.
I went to the front desk to let them know. They accused my of wetting the bed and told me to leave if I want they will not give me a new room cause I might piss that bed too.
They will not give me a new room. That I would half to deal with it.
One of the other rooms had dog poop smeared under the comforter.
Sketchy creatures (meth addicts) seem to be very prevelant.
Room 229 for $75 a night. Not cleaned at all and toilet was stuck running til I fixed it. The card keys never work the first time so you have to walk back to the office. I went to eat breakfast (waffles) at 9:15am and they already put them away.
Room 209 was OK. The sink in the bathroom is literally about fall off the wall and the light fixtures by the beds still have the plastic on them which is a huge fire hazard.
This hotel basically is aged and ran down. I feel they just make up a price for the room based on what you look like. I will never stay here again nor will any family members.
Beds were not bad, slept good. The room was dated and the toilet was stained. The towel rack in the bathroom was broke, only $10 would have fixed it. Paid $60 for the night. Not bad for the prices of surrounding it but was more like a $40 worth to us. Just waffles and cereal for breakfast. No yogurt or hard boild eggs like you would find at comp places. Hard to park a trailer at too. The staff was very nice however. The sheets were clean and pillows were not old.
Worst hotel management and staff. I was booking a reservation at this location prior to arriving in town about 4 hours ahead and mid reservation the rate went from $90 to $154 so I hit cancel and my end showed "reservation incomplete. "
Two days later I get charged the full $154 as a 'no show' fee! Are you kidding me? I call them immediately and get the run around from staff, the GM Irene and finally am told that only the owner Mr. Patel can approve a full refund for the mishap. I call and leave two messages with the GM and another desk attendant that both assure me Mr. Patel will call me since he doesn't have regular hours.
That night in Missoula I got into town at 11:30pm and spent a half hour calling 20 hotels for vacancy (none at all! ) before I finally gave up and my wife and 4 kids ended up sleeping in our car for 6 hours on the side of the road to get some sleep before finishing our 10 hour road trip. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! There are plenty of hotel options in Missoula, don't waste your time booking or staying here.
For only 50$ through hotwire, You get what you pay for, great for the price was skeptical due to bad reviews but was amazed by friendly staff, good biscuits and gravy, and room was clean with nothing broken, pool not busy, walking distance to strip club and other restaurants.
To give you an idea of how out-of-date our unit was, it still had a CRT TV. But there are actual problems too: the shower dripped all. Night. Long. When it was used, it sprayed water against the wall which flowed across the floor and out the door. The sink sprayed water everywhere. There was no fridge. The iron was missing from its wall holder. The door closed very poorly so outside noise, especially road noise, was very audible. The AC was unable to keep a single temperature, but waffled between too cold and too hot. Breakfast is going to be a disappointment, too, despite the hard-working staff.
And really, if the price was in the $50 range, all of these things would be expected and accepted. But for over $80 a night this was just sorry.
Sink didn't work. Room was VERY aged. People talking outside until past midnight. Staff not the warmest folks. One just stared at me after I said "Good morning. " Howard Johnson should have inspected this place before they allowed their name to be added. On the upside, the Internet worked.

Dirty, smelly rooms and we didn't have not water. Management didn't get us hot water or offer to move us. Never again.
