Really clean rooms that have been recently updated. Everything looked new. Beds are comfortable and staff was friendly. Hotel was pretty full and I didn't hear anything from the other rooms. The only thing we found odd was the way the rooms were numbered. You would expect to find room 462 between 461 and 463 or across the hall, but it was down the hall past a bunch of other rooms.

Nice big hotel & stay was good. I was visiting for U Montana weekend course! Only thing is in May 2018 they have some renovations work going on therefore it was a little mess. They have lunge area and a casino on lower level. Beautiful side walks next to hotel and a river / water stream. Nice restaurants on walking distance! Hotel has nice gym and swimming pool on Lower Level.

This Holiday Inn Express definitely lived down to my expectations. Sad to say I have never had a good, much less outstanding experience at one. This one started when I made my reservation, in person, assisted by Stephanie. I requested a balcony room at that time, and she told me I would have to make that request when I checked in. Fast forward about 5 months to Memorial Day weekend and the convention I was attending. I went to check in with the very same Stephanie. First, I could not check in because there wasn't a room ready and they would not check anyone in until the rooms were ready. Second, about that balcony room I wanted — she now told me I should have made that request when I made my reservation and no, there was no way to guarantee one now. I kept checking back and got the same response. Finally, I was checked in by another clerk who ignored my request for a balcony room. My friend, who checked in about 15 minutes later was OFFERED a balcony room and another friend who checked in the next morning got the same offer and the couple who checked after were automatically given one. At least the front desk staff seemed to be hired specifically because they lacked customer service skills. This was not my first negative experience at a Holiday Inn Express; I only stay at one if it is the site of a conference I attend. They do not seem to understand customer service — only corporate policy.

Room was great with a river view! Comfy bed, large room with mini fridge and micro. Construction in the front so a little congested. Inside looks beautiful!

Staff was always friendly, even in the midst of a convention. Beautiful open atrium. Clean and bright. Although the is some construction, it was easy to move around.

Nice rooms and amenities. Pool could be warmer. Under construction when I was here but there was no disturbance.

They're in process of renovating the hotel. The room I was in was nice. Hot tub and pool were super clean.

This is the worst hotel. I give it 1 star to start they are price gouging people. There's a big event going on in town and I have stayed in Missoula quite a few times now this hotel has never cost $199 before taxes. And now they're doing construction which is fine if they're upgrading the hotel but they upped their prices $299 and night and they're make you pay for breakfast. The least they could do is offer breakfast free or at least discounted because of all the construction. The front desk lady was rude as heck. The shower smells like it molding. Im going to contact corporate in the morning.

Good people great rooms not a big fan of it's food prices.

I was so excited to stay somewhere nice to relax but we did not experience that. We were in town for a funeral. We asked for an early check in so we could drop our stuff off. After being told yes while booking, we called to confirm and told no early check ins. The woman at the front desk was horrible. She was very rude. She needs to be fired! Upon arrival we found there was no parking and the building was under construction. We had to leave park about 3 blocks away and make 3 trips back and forth to haul our stuff. When I mentioned the parking I was told that the construction workers needed to park close and I was a guest. Not to mention I had to work but internet was down. The room was ok but paper thin walls. I could hear the people next to us all night! I would never stay here again!

This specific establishmentis typically our favorite and first choice when staying in Missoula. Which we do often for hockey, concerts, etc. The past 3 stays have been awful. The noise has been horrendous. The cleanliness concerning. The staff less than impressive. The construction is very inconvenient and not even a discount to make up for that. This hotel isn't cheap. We stay here because we typically enjoy the comfort, cleanliness, and great amenities it used to offer. After years of staying here, we most likely will be taking our business elsewhere.

I is being remolded at the time I was there. Bit I have been there before, it's a medium to upper medium class hotel. It has a great location, river view of the clarkfork river and the lower end of hell gate canyon.

I've stayed in this hotel a number of times over the years and have even worked with various managers in setting up events at this location. Each time has been a great experience, the location is perfect to get downtown for shopping, and the night life. There's also direct access to the trail system that follows the river. The building could use an update which is currently underway and I'm interested to see how it turns out. In the basement there's a bar with food.

Mackenzie at the front desk was very nice and she put us in their newly renovated 4th floor. The rooms were clean and brand new. The view of the river and the park outside was spectacular, especially with the falling snow. They were still renovating the second floor during our stay but even then I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. From pick up at MSO to drop off, the services were great, the staff was friendly, and that made our stay in Missoula that much better.

The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful. The only thing I didn't notice was a switch for a fan in the bathroom. Other than that it was nice!

I hosted a friend here recently for a business meeting. We met for breakfast, on a Thursday morning. The girls that helped us were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The food came out quickly and was top notch. The dining room could use some updating, but was clean and comfortable. Overall, I would definitely come back again.

We had an updated room. Very modern looking. Lots of plugins to charge phones without having to unplug something else. Wi-Fi is speedy. With the update, the bathroom is very bright with a nice light around the mirror. The bed was very comfortable. Staff are very friendly.

Loved the fact they let your dog stay. Even if he was scared great place. Comfortable beds too.

Cannot say enough nice things about my boy jeff! jeff was so prepared. He was very kind when he greeted us, and gave me several different recommendations for all the things I asked for! I was surprised by how welcoming and helpful he was, such a positive attitude and great customer service. Also Adam is such a homie.

My girlfriends and I visited Missoula for a "Girls Weekend". We had no idea where we were going when we left and we just ended up in Missoula. Choosing to stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown was the BEST decision we made. The staff from Jeff at the front desk to the Bartenders in their lounge were INCREDIBLE. They were so helpful and kind and the Hotel is in the BEST LOCATION. Close to everything for walking.

Great staff. Loved the resturant/bar, good food and nice patio area. Bad thing was the construction that routes you around to the hotel. Other than that… good experience.

The hotel was great. Everyone so friendly and willing to accommodate our needs. The espresso coffee shop downstairs across from the front desk not so much. The "barista" if you will. Well she didn't even acknowledge us in her Espresso shop. We hung around for a few minutes waiting for her to get off the phone to which she never did. And then we walked out she didn't even act like she cared that we left. So I would stay away from the coffee shop Espresso Bar or whatever you want to call it. The free coffee privided by the hotel downstairs by the front desk was amazing and they were willing to get us more creamer right away excellent help from the hotel staff.

Arrived at 7:50PM. Were 3 tables occupied out of 15 tables. 4 people at bar, or in other words empty. Waited until 8:00PM and finally gave up waiting for table service and went to bar to order a drink. Finished drink at 8:09. Quickly in know (long day:) Needing another drink I waited for the table waitress for 10 more minutes but no sign of one. Waitress stood by checkout kiosk looking at phone then went and picked up some empty dishes for older gals in white sitting on west side. Waitress disappeared must of been on break. Although I was upset, the table of 6 next to me with no service for 15-20 minutes was very unhappy. Finally waitress came helped table of six after 20 minutes to fill up water as I was standing at bar order another beer. This was at 8:20PM. Here we are. It is 8:36PM, waiting on another drink, waiting to order food (it is 46 min and counting) even put menu at end of table to make obvious, still no service. At 8:30 a large group showed up and went outside dining so I am sure this service well completely disappear at this point. Not once after 46 minutes have I even been approached by any staff of facility. This place is absolutely a dumpster fire on all levels. FYI the male checking in guests in the front was fantastic, a small bright light in other words dismal experience, also bartender seemed solid, but rest of staff was disaster.

Good location for walking around downtown. Friendly staff. Good fitness center and pool. Not real fancy just nice, not gross.

Never stayed here but I have friends that have and my company puts on events once a year in the ballroom. Great staff and location. Their restaurant has wonderful food and beverage selections. I recommend it if you need a place to stay. Prices are a bit high but for the quality, location and friendliness you get from there it's well worth it.

This hotel is located in beautiful downtown Missoula, close to everything. It is a very clean hotel with a very nice restaurant and bar located in the first floor. Highly recommend this hotel, especial when settling your kid into the University of Montana from out of state.

Everyone here has made our stay great. Staff is very friendly and helpful, asking for our room to be serviced after the maids had made their rounds. Was not a problem and it was promptly cleaned, we really appreciate the awesome service! They even tucked my daughter's Dinosaur into bed after making it; which made her so happy. I am part of a group that holds a convention every year. This will be our second year working with the Holiday Inn Downtown in Missoula, MT. The facilities are beautiful and the staff is friendly and accomodating. Their rooms are kept clean and are very homey and comfortable. The restaurant on site has a variety of dishes and what I have tried has all been excellent, especially the fried fish. I would recommend this hotel for both overnight stays and events. Update: They have changed their breakfast menu and I was underwhelmed by the cost to value ratio. The food was good, but the selection was much more limited and had slightly smaller portions.

The Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The rooms were very clean, sheets were soft and comfortable, and the bathrooms well-appointed. I had friends staying in a few other rooms, and it looks like they're in the process of remodeling them. The new rooms are well appointed and modern, though the rooms that have not been updated are far from out of date. The most impressive part of the hotel is the customer service I received from the front desk staff. Their level of professionalism is second to none and would exceed the standards of a high-end hotel in a metropolitan city. Every request was fulfilled to a T, and any concerns were addressed immediately and with the utmost concern for their guests comfort. The restaurant in the hotel is good. The menu covers a good array of pub grub, and their beer selection is wide. Our group's experience at this hotel was outstanding, we can't wait to return next year.

Stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend. Great location in the middle of downtown Missoula within walking distance to plenty of local restaurants and shops. The beds are comfortable and even the pull out sofa received a positive review. Service was attentive and they have a very convenient shuttle to and from the airport available. Would definitely stay here again if we make a return trip to Missoula.

Went to Miscon to see Patrick Rothfuss. What a lovely venue. Everyone was hospitable and the place was well-kept and gorgeous.

Staff was friendly and in the background during Miscon, which was great. However, their $13 breakfast 'buffet'… save the money and go to McDonalds. Everything was cold and your choices were few. The pancakes were generally hard and cold. The scrambled eggs… well, be there when they put them out. Only breakfast meat — sausage. For $13 I expected more variety than pastries from Costco and cold food. Not a good recommendation for any other meals.

Attended for Miscon. Hotel was nice enough. Most of the convention rooms, when packed to capacity, could not keep up with the heat gain. Rooms got toasty. Restaurant is decent enough. Fish and chips is mediocre at best.

STAY AWAY! Had a horrible experience at this location and when I went in to write a review on their rewards site, they disabled my account. WOW! They are not part of the BBB in Montana (red flag to everyone! ) and are privately owned. Day 1 no housekeeping service. When I called housekeeping to let them know I could barely have a conversation with them because the phone cord was frayed. Housekeeper stopped by after that to ask "do you want your room cleaned" with the look of "please say no". We settled for clean towels. No hot water in the sink Shower water was just barely warm enough to take a shower. Day 3 Sunday morning they decide 8 am is a GREAT time time use a motorized blower to blow off the patio right above our room — waking up that entire side of the hotel. It was so loud the guy doing it had hearing protection! We felt they should have comped one night of our 3 night stay for all the issues we had. They felt (smugly) the right thing to do was discount us $50 total. I believe the reason they only gave a token discount is because they need all the money they can squeeze out of people to pay for the renovations. We will NEVER come back to this hotel. Double Tree down the road is a better bet.

I booked 24 hours in advance, and when I arrived at check-in time of 4pm my room was not ready. I was compensated with a free drink and app at the resteraunt while I waited (which were excellent). This was a nice gesture, and while I did appreciate it, I really just wanted to go up to my room and relax. The rooms were decent and the staff was nice enough. Service at the resteraunt was very slow, but the food was good. Overall it was ok, but I'll probably seek other options next time I am passing through Missoula.

The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very kind and attentive. My only disappointment was that the pool area didn't have handicapped access doors.

Nice rooms! The restaurant in the hotel was not good, served cold food then the manager was going to comp something but when we got our check nothing was. But hotel it's self was nice.

Main areas are very nice and open. Rooms have relatively low ceilings and when we stayed there they were doing construction which messed up my reservation — though they did bend over backwards to make up for it. Good place for a night or two or to hold a small convention.

We stayed overnight at the hotel, had drinks in the bar and breakfast at the restaurant. My husband booked a suite, but when we got there to check in, they didn't have it available. We ended up in a small room, but were given a better rate and a credit for breakfast. The room was fine, with a nice view of the river. Would stay there again, it would be nice to try the room we wanted in the first place.

Room was clean when we arrived. Only stayed one night so room service wasn't a factor. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were all pretty soft which I disliked a little. It's in a great location to go drinking downtown or to go to events at the park nearby.

I had to report that I went looking for a better place to eat out as lately I am consigned to eating out and some establishments, perhaps to cut corners seem to use products that are not agreeing with my stomach. From having stayed at Holiday Inn I knew that the restaurant served the very best food, so I went there today to have breakfast, and as usual, they delivered. Holiday Inn is perhaps the best hotel available on all counts, but the restaurant is really healthy food.
