The rooms here are amazing and very beautiful. Lovely property and great location for getting away from the city. The only reason I'm giving them a 2 star rating is because the staff treated my family and myself INCREDIBLY BAD. We paid months in advance for our reservation and when we arrive the staff wouldn't let us check in unless we showed them our credit card! They were very rude when we asked why since we had already paid for our stay and they said it was "policy". They were being very RUDE to us the entire time. When we finally spoke to the property manager she checked our reservation and gave us our room keys without checking our credit card. No one ever apologized for the rude comments and total disrespect. Horrible customer service. As I said before we paid for 4 nights we left and went to the local bathhouse, when we returned we found our keys didn't work and we were locked out of our rooms! We went to the office to sort out what the problem might be and they all but refused to talk to us. We explained that our reservation was for a Monday check out and they have made a mistake but they kept demanding we pay for an extra day! Again the staff we very rude and would not listen to us, so again we had to contact the manager of the property who once again. Checked our reservation and confirmed they had make a terrible mistake and let us back into our rooms. Again NO ONE APOLOGIZED Or offered any kind of compinsation. Our children. Were stuck outside in 100 degree weather we were locked out of the rooms we had payed for. I would not recommend this resort but hopefully they have better trained staff at one of the many surrounding resort areas. Beautiful area, great lake view HORRIBLE STAFF, terrible customer service.
