Review of Cajun Country Inn 2*

Staff was nice! Owner is a liar! Our room had bugs! (Filth Roaches and a couple large spiders. ) We slept on top of the cigarette burned comforters, using our own covers from home to cover up. Our home was a total loss due to the flood, and the owner refused us any further stay after 2 weeks because of our animals. But come to find out,,,, he allowed another couple to rent a room with two large dogs the night before our time ran out, for $100 pet fee. We were only asked to pay $75 a week earlier. Hmmmmm! We were paying $45 a night for "Weekly Rental Rates". The other couple were paying $75 a night for the same stay. (I found out this info chit chatting with the other couple while washing a load of clothing. ) They too lost their home. How can a owner of a hotel, kick out a couple with a 14yr old son, knowing they have nowhere to go, and have lost everything? We had money to pay! Our dogs were being behaved, and using the restroom outside. Not bothering a soul! They were inside dogs at our home. We even washed our own towels, and bought a mop, broom, and cleaning wipes to clean our own room, since they were afraid of any and all dogs. I will tell you how he could kick us out! MORE MONEY! He charged us the "Normal" price. The new people coming in were being charged the "Lost My Home,,, Desperate! " price. So he could make more money off of our room with a new tenant then he could with us. (Or I would have reported him for price gouging, and he knew it! ) The owner lied twice, with three different stories of why he could no longer rent the room to us. But in the end,,,, it was all about MORE MONEY! Thanks Cajun Country Inn for kicking a family to the curb with nothing but what could fit in their cars left to their name. You rock! Not!
