Beautiful property and fantastic hosts. Breakfast was AMAZING! Highly recommend this B&B… Will be staying again.

We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and we tried it for the first time with The Roost in Appleton. De Ann was such a kind and prepared host. The room was beautiful and everything was so nice and quiet — we never heard any other guests. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful!

Great experience overall! The rooms were very clean and spacious. The host greeted us at the door with wine and beer. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing!

The owner DeAnn was amazing and handled all our needs! She even had freshly baked cookies for us on arrival! The room was absolutely gorgeous and romantic! Also breakfast was phenomenal! I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to stay here!

It was a pleasure for my wife and I to stay at The Roost B&B as we celebrated our 24th Anniversary. We were greeted with warm hospitality by DeAnn. The home is beautiful and classy, and we loved staying in the "Sage Room. ” Just as you see in the photos, it's spacious and lovely. In the morning, DeAnn provided a delicious breakfast just for the two of us, and she made our stay at the Roost outstanding. We would definitely visit again! I can't say enough positive things about this B&B! We stayed in the Belle Suite and it was gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the sheets. The sitting area is a nice place to relax and listen to the surround sound music. The bathroom is beautiful. Big shower, wonderful bathtub, and perfect water pressure.
The breakfast is delicious, better than most restaurants. The street is quiet and beautiful. The host of the B&B is wonderful and had chocolate chip cookies for us when we arrived.

We stayed there almost a month ago and the owner is fantastic. She made us this delicious breakfast. The home if off the charts beauitful yet cozy. Id highly recommend this place to anyone and I cant wait to go back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Roost B&B! It was such a beautiful home, the rooms were quiet, I loved the tub, and the breakfast service was to DIE for! De Ann was very hospitable and accommodating; we felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend The Roost to anyone!

Received a gift certificate and decided to use it to celebrate my husband's retirement after 30 years working for the USDA! LOVED the fireplace, two-person jet spa, the rooster decor will wow our daughter (who has a thing for chickens)! will definitely be going there again!

My husband and I were the lucky reciepents of a gift certificate to stay at The Roost. I booked the Sage Suite. We had never stayed at a B&B prior to this, but we will definitely consider a B&B in the future due to our positive experience at The Roost. We were greeted with delicious sweet treats in our suite. There was a binder full of helpful information which helped us select a restaurant to dine at for the evening. Breakfast in the morning, at 9:00, was delicous and plentiful. (Baked french toast, bacon, fruit, scrambled eggs and juice and/or coffee) We didn't need to eat again until about 3:00. My only regret is that we had such a late arrival and didn't get to enjoy The Roost as much as I would have liked. We would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely loved the place! I had surprised my husband with a night here and it was our first time ever at a B&B and we will never look at overnights somewhere the same way again! The place was gorgeous, owner/hostess was very friendly, they had a fun little selection of movies to choose from, everything was super clean, the bed was super comfy, and the breakfast-in-room was beautifully put together! Also, I have a gluten allergy and the hostess went out of her way to provide gluten-free cookies; it was a pleasant surprise!

My husband and I stayed here for a Packer game. It's a lovely place, secluded and cozy. De Ann is a great host who greets you with fresh baked cookies! If you're looking for an vastly alternative to a cold, inattentive hotel I highly suggest the Roost for a mini getaway!

After reading all the great reviews we decided to book a weekend in a jacuzzi room. However when we got there we decided to check out and stay elsewhere due to it being freezing cold in the room — how can we enjoy ourselves or even get in a jacuzzi if we’re freezing. Also the TV was a small old box TV set. Sorry but for $200 a night I don’t think an updated TV or temperature controls in your room is too much to ask! At least put a space heater or something in there. No the little fake fireplace did not help. We booked elsewhere and left within 10 min of being there even though we still had to pay for the room full price. The house is really pretty on the outside and yes the owner seemed nice but she really should update the TVs and do something about the cold.

My husband surprised me with a stay at this bed and breakfast. We have been to a couple other bed and breakfasts, and this tops the list. De Ann is a wonderfully gracious host and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and welcoming. The room was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. There were so many lovely touches added, such as the bubble bath, candles, dvd selection, beverages, and more. We look forward to another stay!

Even though we only live 5 minutes away from The Roost, my husband and I stayed here for a much overdue date night, and our stay was INCREDIBLE! We were greeted at the door with cookies and wine, what more could you ask for?! Haha. De Ann was a delight. I wanted to make sure all the details for our night were perfect and she was more than accommodating. We were even able to purchase a bottle of wine right at the house to make our night perfect. The hot tub and fireplace in each room sealed the deal. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone, whether you are looking for a quiet escape, a romantic getaway, or a place to host a group event or family gathering! Check this spot out, it will not disappoint :)

My bucket list experience of a life time. De Ann was a wonderful host. This B&B is so gorgeous, welcoming, etc. I search for a room on ground floor and two beds for my sister in-law and I. This was wonderful. Great wine and homemade cookies were a treat. The breakfasts were awesome, I have never had breakfast that amazing. De was very helpful with places to go and restaurants for dinner. Will go back for another stay.

We needed a night away. We wanted something different, quiet, and relaxing. The Roost more than exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful. You can see the care that is put into it. We stayed in the Sage room which I highly recommend. The room was gorgeous and spacious. When we arrived, De Ann welcomed us and gave us a quick tour of the home and showed us to our room. She was very accommodating and sweet. She was available to us if we needed anything or if we had any questions. Breakfast was amazing. We are already planning our next trip to The Roost and will be booking The Sage Room once again. I can't wait until we can go back!

De Ann was an incredible host. The place was extremely clean and her communication was great. I was traveling for work and got in after my concert. She made it easy for me to check in and get settled. She prepared an incredible breakfast and I ate it in a room playing peaceful classical music while birds chirped outside. Unreal!

We stayed in the Bella Suite the night of our wedding. They accommodated the girls coming in early to get ready and provided drinks for everyone (alcohol or regular) and even provided cupcakes to the bride & groom! The room is absolutely gorgeous; very spacious, perfect place for 3-4 girls to get ready. We weren't over the moon about the breakfast but it was good. Maybe 2 options could be provided: gluten free or full gluten :)

We weren't exactly sure what to expect as we have never stayed at a b&b before … but were very pleasantly suprised! From the time we got there to the time we left, we left so welcomed by De Ann. Variety of drinks offered upon arrival, tour up to our room, and when we left for dinner, there were freshly baked cookies waiting at our door. The breakfast was phenomenal and couldn't have asked for more. We will return and tell everyone to check it out! What a great hidden gem!

We just enjoyed our third stay here! This is by far our all time fave bed and breakfast! The entire property is peaceful and relaxing. The Bella is out of this world and the breakfast never disappoints! Don't wait for a special occasion… you need to stay here soon!

The owner, De Ann, is the nicest lady and her b&b is BEAUTIFUL. Nice, quiet, safe location and beautiful interior. Just a place you want to curl up in with a blanket and a hot cocoa!

There are not enough words to describe how awesome this place is! I never want to leave when my fiancé and I are there. De Ann is awesome and has the right amount of everything one would want in a hostess of a B&B. Seriously, if you're looking for a romantic place that has some of the best accommodations I've ever seen, please, please come here. The Bella Suite is our favorite.

Everything is great so far. Breakfast was delicious this morning and so were the chocolate chip cookies last night. The bathroom is spacious and well laid out. The bedroom was a good size with a sitting area between the fireplace and the bed. The bed itself was very comfortable and everything in the suite was very neat and clean. We would definitely stay there again!

This absolutely gorgeous home was the perfect retreat for our daughter's wedding weekend. We gathered with the bride & bridesmaids for 2 nights before the wedding and enjoyed the fine amenities and amazing food in this lovely setting. The location was close to downtown and the venue along the river, but in a quiet neighborhood that allowed us to relax and enjoy time together. De Ann welcomed us warmly with home-baked treats and provided delicious breakfasts during our 3 night stay. The gardens and fountains are a delight. We'll have many treasured memories of our stay. The Roost is exceptional in every way! We'll be back again soon. Stayed June 2016, traveled with family.
