Loved the food! Great prices and amazing service. Was so good we came back for breakfast the next day. Next time we are in town we probably will eat here every day. Nobody could make one complaint and we had some picky eaters in our group!

We had breakfast at the cafe and the staff was amazing and super friendly. The food was delicious and had huge portions for a reasonable price. We will stop here anytime.

We absolutely loved staying at Black Forest Inn! Ryan and Jodi are amazing hosts. It was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious! Perfect place to relax and take in the fresh air.

We had such a wonderful stay. The hosts are absolutely amazing. They were so thoughtful, kind and welcoming. The rooms were gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious every single morning! They really went above and beyond. They even gave us Mothers Day goodies! Can’t recommend them enough! Stay here!

Stayed there during the motorcycle rally in Sturgis. Property is a easy “on” and easy “off” directly on US route 90. There’s a gas station next to the property and a 24 hour Perkins pancake house contacted to this property. Both was a great convenience. Room was comfortable and clean for the most part. I’d definitely would return to stay and would recommend this property to others.

This is a Best Kept Secret! Staff is great! 24-hour Perkins right on the property. A lounge/bar also right on the property. There seems to be something always going on. There is a pool with a very long slide. Rooms are older but we'll maintained and spacious. Bathrooms are also nice and big. Beds are very comfortable and the pillows plentiful. I'd stay again.

Scott and Nick are great, stayed three days here on a 25 day motorcycle trip. Was the least expensive place I stayed, and was a reasonable motel. Everything just average but clean, quite place.

My little family and I recently came back from vacation in South Dakota and I can say staying in this hotel really helped us have a stress free trip. The hotel wasn't ready when we got into town, I believe we were an hour early, so the manager said to give the staff 2 hours. No problem! We went sight seeing at some nearby parks and we also went to the local fish hatchery to kill some time. We came back about 2 and a half hours later and were able to go to our room. The vibe was awesome!

A great motel-style option if you need a clean, affordable room for an extended stay. The only downside is that smoking is allowed on the campus, so you get to walk out every morning and smell people's nasty cigarettes as they sit outside their rooms in the provided lawn chairs. Still, you can't beat the price and the owners are very nice people. I'd definitely stay there again.

Can't say much bad. First room had giant wet spot under air conditioner. Just wanted to let the front desk know so I disn't get charged. Without asking they put me in a new room Good customer service.

Excellent accommodations! Fabulous breakfasts. A wealth of knowledge available from the hosts. Super clean. Easy access for day trips to Sturgess, Wall, Mount Rushmore, badlands National Park, and Crazy Horse monument. Highly Recommend!

Such an incredibly awesome stay, so clean, breakfast was excellent each morning cannot say enough wonderful things about our 3 day stay in the Attic Suite thank you again you helped make our anniversary trip even more memorable.

We recently stayed at this hotel to attend a family function. The hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. Staff was so helpful. We gathered in the lobby and enjoyed the coffee. The loft was a great addition as it allowed our son to separate from my husband and myself. Great hotel and so convenient. I would highly recommend staying here.

Found the inn to be really good and value for money. With a short distance from Rushmore and the custer state park and the badlands national park. Very clean. Really nice breakfast buffet. Loved the coffee they had. Most of all a really helpful staff.

I am satisfied with the quality inn we stayed at. It was during the Sturgis bike week and hotels were hard to find. There were so many bikers we we're afraid we would be kept awake all night with partying, but by 10 p. M. Everyone had quieted down and we got a great night's sleep. The breakfast was good, but there weren't nearly as many choices of items that I usually get at a quality inn. The bonus was they had two options for waffles.

Pros: Clean hotel and friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. Cons: The pool was small and made of plastic, rather than concrete. The breakfast was lacking, with old fruit and runny eggs.

What a great hotel in the heart of Lead! The rooms are spacious and unique, with comfy beds. Sue was so nice and helpful. She was accessible by text if we needed anything. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds in Deadwood or Sturgis. Highly recommend!

We stayed one night and loved it! The room was extremely clean, the bed was so very comfortable, and it was so quiet! Our cabin was number 2. We will definitely go back there and spend a few nights!

We give it an 8 out 10! Wonderful place mostly. Drawbacks were the couch where the only TV was in cabin 23 was very uncomfortable (also the extra bed for additional guests), the shower is odd with the drain plug in the shower is on the side in the middle and kept stepping on it. The regular mattresses are also really hard We bought temperpedic mattress pad and that helped with the bed. It was very clean and we love the location. Love having the kitchen area. So those were the only drawbacks.

Beautiful scenery. Friendly communities. Great coffee.
