Very nice staff, they actually have smoking rooms still! pet friendly, actual couples size hot tub rooms. I really enjoy staying here.

They don't even deserve one star. Drove over an hour after booking a room with two full beds for my 4 young children (1, 7, 9 & 12) and I. I was told there was an extra 10$ charge due to it being more then 4 people. Also a 50$ refundable fee to make sure my children didn't damage the room. Ok. Fine. No biggy. I get there and the general manager refuses to give me my room that was already paid for and taken out of my checking account. He said he wasn't allowed to give me a room with that many kids. Didn't give me the chance to talk and ultimately… we ended up having to leave, and go home since I'm a single mom who just happened to have a little bit of extra money for the week. Since they refused my refund… we ended up going home with no money… no memories made. Just 4 really upset kids. Thanks for nothing! I would stay clear from this place. The pool looked filthy. The decor is outdated. And the customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE.

Dirty, drug filled, dangerous, terrible staff, all rooms smell of cigarettes and ours had bed bugs. Disgusting!

Good price good customer service decent breakfast convenient location only thing needs work is blankets. Take your own or your stuck using a sheet basically but over all decent for the cheaper rates.

Booked a room a month in advance. Got to motel to be told we could not pay cash for 2 night stay. The gentleman at the desk told us if we paid cash we could only have the room for one night but room was booked for the second night. We drove 8 hours to come for the weekend festival in Kent. We sent a message on the way stating what time we were to arrive. We recieved a message as we were pulling into the parking lot we saying we could not use cash for the room and a credit card for any incidental charges. Only room available has 1 king bed in it for 3 people at the Days Inn next door at a higher price. If they are going to honor advance bookings then they should not be on booking sites and it should be clearly stated that American money is not accepted. Diappointed my daughter and granddaughter.

Called and ask if they had a pool, was told yes, when me and my girlfriend arrived it was closed because of mantaince. Why wouldn't they have said that when I called? I would have never stayed! room was very uncomfortable, the Indian guy at the front desk was very rude to my girlfriend and we ended up getting a refund because of the horrible customer service. Parking lot was very difficult to get out of, All around bad vibes. I suggest days inn, the pool is very clean.

Very clean. Superb, friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights. The manager discounted our rate by $20 just to be nice I assume. It's a very nice Econo Lodge that gave us a good night's sleep and hot showers.

Not too bad for an overnight stay, but don't expect too much. Window air conditioner pretty noisy. Breakfast very basic. Power in breakfast room needs upgrading. Using toaster and waffle iron while the TV is on blew the circuit breaker.

Terrible place the whole building smells awful, the guy at the desk is a disrespectful miserable little man with zero people skills. The rooms are unsanitary, the towels and linen are all stained. I hope no one waste there hard earn money only to give to a rude ungrateful business owner. Also the breakfast is garbage. Hope this review helps.

This was a horrible experience first of all I do not believe this terrible exscuse for a Indian human by the name of Kabal has zero respect for women or children as he disrespected the mother in front of me also with children. This miserable man was extremely rude and disrespectful talked to me as a small child in a aggressive tone like I am not a women who deserves the same amount of courtesy and kindness I bestowed upon him. I am a adult with severe asthma who can not be in a room that all you can smell is a ashtray also I have a newborn I would not subject to this situation. I went to 3 other rooms that he kept saying was non smoking which I didn’t believe since they were all on the same floor the3rd. Finally it came down to him telling me either stay in the finally room shown to me or leave the premises with no refund. Completely shocked we left with no refund and stayed in a days inn behind there facility. I strongly suggest no one stay here it’s a rude and very unwelcoming environment. I hope all that see positive reviews do understand it is management posting fake reviews about great place and great place. The rooms I seen were terrible looked dirty and still had trash on the dresser.

This was a very nice hotel and the price was really quite good. There is a gas station right across the street which is very convenient. There is a fridge in the room and a microwave, as well. Love that! The workers were very helpful and nice.

This was a very nice location with updated rooms. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, trying to work with me to get me a better rate. I would gladly stay there again.

I will say the staff was pleasant but the rooms and common areas are very tired and in need of an update. You get what you pay for and this was barely worth the $54 we paid. There are other options within walking distance that would be a better bet.

Horrible! Dirty, smelly, fridge leaked, bathroom door wouldn't close, one washcloth and 2 towels for 4 people… Asked for more and was told they don't have any to give… Pool? Lol! That was a joke. Cold and kid size. The microwave… OMG! The smell that emitted from it when we opened it… yuck! I will NEVER stay here again! Only gave it one star because you have to in order to leave a review! So really… ZERO Star Hotel!

Nice and quiet. Staff was great. The only ice and vending machines were on the first floor by the office. There was not a very big selection for breakfast. Even though they have an all year indoor pool, it wasn't heated, so we didn't swim.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was OK, but no carpeting on floor so the people above sounded like elephants all night.

Good service… Clean room, everything worked, swimming pool, and free coffee with breakfast.! For $58.00! Loved it! A little bit of noise … people walking around, someone watching TV with the volume up. It wasn't real loud… could easily give it a 5… it was close by the freeway, Gas station across the street, and you can order pizza! I'm changing it to 5!

This lodge is under new ownership and management. The staff was friendly and helpful. The new hardwood flooring is beautiful and fresh paint has been applied. Everything was clean with fresh linen and towels. Walking barefoot on the new flooring was a pleasure. There was no particles of dirt stuck to my feet after a nice hot shower. There is still more to be done to complete the renovation, but by far I was impressed with the rooms. BC from Florida.

Just checked, but no complaints, really. Very close to the highway. The room was nice, large and clean. Noise tonight might be an issue, but everything is very close by. Good service so far.

Good experience clean room and updated. The customer service was great. More sweeping of staircase floors is needed but comfortable stay and price. I would definitely return.

This place doesn't even rate a star. They charged my card for a room that I CANCELLED WEEKS prior to the booking night, then refused to call me back, or make things right. I ended up contacting my bank to start a fraud alert, which shut down my card immediately. I'm on vacation in another state that doesn't have my bank, so I'm financially screwed up due to this place. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy, much less anyone I actually like. Christine.

It's an average hotel. Pool is small, breakfast missing cereal/hot option. Bottom floor not yet renovated. But staff is friendly, and hotel is clean. Would stay again.

My fiancé and I stay here often since I love the kent area so much, but the last time we were here was the worst and we will NEVER stay here again. We were in town for a concert and booked a room using the choice hotels app nearly a half hour before arriving. When we got there, the manager that lacked customer service skills told us that it was a smoking room even though we had booked a non smoking room. For nonsmokers, this is a huge deal breaker. He argued with us that he could not cancel the room and told us that we "were lucky enough to even get this room. " We stood in the lobby after trying to be polite and levelheaded on the phone with choice customer service as they called the manager to tell him to go ahead and cancel the room. He told us multiple times that we would also have to pay a cancellation fee (for their mistake). Customer service told him to waive the fee and he even argued with them and then threatened us that if we said anything else then he would charge us for the room whether we stayed there or not. We immediately left and refuse to go back there after being threatened with such ridiculous charges!

We stayed for the weekend and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff was exceptionally nice, the rooms were updated, the kids were able to swim and we were able to wash clothes for cheap! Refrigerator and microwave made it very nice. And the price is the best around! We were able to order great food for delivery that made it very nice. We had a small issue upon arrival but the man at the desk was so exceptional he made everything right without hesitation. The ONLY suggestion that could have made the stay better is serving/offering unlimited water by the ice machine. Thank you staff at econo lodge for making our weekend great!

You get what you pay for with the room but the great free breakfast, friendly staff, and pool put it above. I would absolutely stay again, which is good because the wife booked it for 2 nights :)

The worst ever! In 25years of being an over the road driver I have never experienced such disrespect and rudeness, We asked for a comforter for our bed as it was missing, we had one in the same room the night before, Maurice wouldn't give us one or change our rooms, he called the manager and said what's in the room is all your allowed, we had a comforter on the bed the night before, we asked for a refund we would go some where else, his attitude was violent and threatening! he used profanity, I began video recording him, he refused to give us the managers phone number,,, we left and went to the days inn in Kent Ohio, and got a much nicer room at a better rate, we called corporate and made a formal complaint… this hotel smelled of MARIJUANA in the lobby where only Maurice was present! This place is horrible and we spoke to the manager the next day who was also rude and argumentative, she did refund our money but only after a call fro corporate office,, RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Perfect room for much less. Very helpful front desk staff. Morning breakfast snack to start your day. Clean room. They even let me park my 26 feet box truck. Can't ask for more.

I would rate this less than 1 star if I could. Horrible experience. We stopped to get some rest for a few hours, while driving from NY to Chicago. We checked in at 3am. The fire alarms went off at 4am. After we were let back into our room we noticed bed bugs on the sheets. Immediately checked out and requested a refund. We got more rest sleeping in the car at a rest stop.

Nice smallish hotel. Clean. Very nice and helpful staff. If ur expecting a 5 star hotel u need to pay for a 5 star hotel. For the price this is an excellent choice. No bugs, I checked. Breakfast is 6pm till 9am we were late, came down at about 9:30am and the young lady still let us in the room and we ate, made waffles and had coffee and juice. They did not have to do that. Thank you very much! Also, we arrived here about 10am check in is at 2pm. They had no problem checking us in early. Which was great because we were touring KSU and had a long day ahead of us!
Pool looked nice we didn't use it, open till 10pm.
We had a great stay!

We were here checking out KSU for our 17 yr old. This is a smallish hotel some doors are outside and some inside. Clean enough, bathrooms are very small. Our heat didn't work in 211 so they did move us across the hall to 210 with no problems. The service was good and for 40 a nite I have no major complaints. No bugs, I checked. Bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked. We had lunch at Bob evans and ordered Pizza from papa Johns for dinner, great service.

This Econo Lodge is one of the better ones with very reasonable prices compared to other nearby hotels. The rooms are basic but clean. Still had tube type TV, no coffee in room, but did have a mini refrigerator and microwave. Free breakfast is a bit skimping than the Comfort Inn across the street, but for $40 less per night, I accept that our use the savings to eat at a restaurant. Staff was hemlock and friendly. They do jab an I room safe, and will automatically charge you $1/day for its use unless you tell them you didn't use it. Is you must need the basics of a bed and bathroom for the night, it's a good choice at the economical price.

This place is awful. The stench in the room was unbearable, there was garbage behind every piece of furniture. Several outlets were broken and looked potentially dangerous. Both of the bed frames in our room were over sized, leaving sharp steel exposed right at ankle level. Every surface in the room was stained and sticky. Very low water pressure in the shower, and the toilet didn't flush properly. Everything in the pool room is slimy, the pool itself is cloudy and smells foul.

Staff friendly, housekeeping works hard to keep you happy. Room clean. I have a PTSD service dog, we both felt comfortable with clean rooms.

RUN RUN RUN… AWAY from this dump. Filthy, stinking, full of fleas that came away on my two spotlessly clean dogs after two nights here. They actually had the nerve to call me and ask me to leave the reunion and come and get my dogs because they were barking and someone was complaining… the smoking floor stinks like a filthy ashtray, the room was so permeated with old smoke that the pillows, mattresses, curtains and bed clothes made me sick to my stomach. We slept with window open and racket from the street rather than be closed in with the stench. Everything is dirty — — bathrooms, hallways, The breakfast consists of stale pastries and a toaster that smells like it is going to burn up, bad coffee and worse waffles. And to top it off, the morning we left, the swat team came to attend to something or someone in the room across from us… anywhere, anywhere is better than this; the first night was 50$, the second was 60 and the last night we got dinged for 100 dollars for this mess. Kent Econo Lodge and Choice Hotels — — you should be ashamed!

I have been to two star hotels before and this is not a two star hotel. I'm not even sure if it was a one star. My only expectation was to have a place to sleep. I had very low expectations for this place after all what you pay for is what you get, or so I thought. I got in late around midnight and just wanted to sleep. I went to bed at 2am expecting to wake up around 8am in order to make the long drive ahead of me. The bed must have either been infested or cleaned with WAY too much soap that was never rinsed off (sure smelled like it). I kept waking up in the middle of the night due to severe itching. It was ridiculous, from my head to my feet. I couldn't sleep till about 3am and I woke up for good at 6am. I kept trying to go to sleep but the itching continued, bad enough to keep me awake. I eventually put on layers of clothes to sleep but by that time the damage had been done. If I had known how bad this place was I would have just driven through the night or slept in my car. The appearance of this place wasn't great either but I didn't care, after all I just wanted a place to rest. Unfortunately I did the opposite.

Zero stars this hotel is so nasty we found bedbugs in two different rooms after begging to be move to a new room after finding them in the first room (room311) and the second room (213) on a different floor was even worse and had them crawling everywhere the lady/manger was really rude and told us they where aloud to have bed bugs after telling her it nasty and we wanted are money back she told us we where lying when we had a cup full of them. Very nasty… the lady Jamie the manger was completely rude and told us if we didnt like the room we where in to just check out and leave remind you this was the room we caught about 40 bed bugs in… and took pictures ive never been so disgusted with a place in my life will never recommend this place to anyone this place needs shut down and torn down. And you cant forget about the meth labs brimfield cops have found there that have been in the paper nasty place and nasty manger.
