If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and shower you’ll be just fine here. Maui Beach Hotel does have a swimming pool but no beach to swim at by the hotel. The hotel personnel are all welcoming and friendly. Centrally located makes driving the RTH easier and it’s very accessible to south, west Maui with a short 30-45 min drive.

Way good little hotel for the price. Room's are fine, pool is good, restaurant is good with lots of other choices all around the hotel. There's a Starbucks that opens at 5am within walking distance and Whole Foods is also right there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect for the "budget vacation".

Though they list restaurants as an option, nothing is currently available, and vending is minimal. No water in the room either. Beautiful location but food and beverage options are very lacking.

Rooms have a nasty smell and are infested with cock roaches. Told the front desk and they gave me mosquito/knat spray! Had no choice but to stay here. Rooms are very outdated.

Very thankful for our time in Hawaii and being welcomed. Going to Maui beach hotel did not meet our hopes of a fun trip to Hawaii, Other than the staff being super nice throughout our stay. The room online was beautiful, clean and appeared very new and updated. We booked online 2 queen beds and upon arrival they said they only had rooms with double beds or one queen. The room was very small and not as clean and beautiful as we thought (especially compared to their website pictures) when we got back from our day out at 1am, there was a cockroach in our room and a tick on the wall. We are in a tropical environment and understand this can happen, it was the way we were treated when solving our situation. We were asked to haul all of our things to the front desk to get a new room with no assistance or compassion, where we are from these insects are very large and not common, we associate them with non cleanliness. We were laughed at when we asked for a new cot bed. We were given a larger room, same cleanliness. Very thankful for the accommodation.
I don’t think we would stay here on our next trip to Maui.

Best location closer to the airport and seaport.

I was just there for the Craft Fair but everyone was so nice to me. We even sat and talked story for a while They bend over backwards for locals ❣️

Very disappointed and dissatisfied with this hotel. Purchased as a business trip but when checked into the hotel I had to pay an EXTRA $144 in my OWN money for use of amenities that IM NOT EVEN USING! No complimentary breakfast and the rooms are NOT what was purchased for us. As a couple of 2… we ended up with 2-Twin beds instead of 1 queen. Will never stay here again.

It's not a terrible place to stay. Has beach access with is nice the grounds are well kept. Rooms are niceish and clean. Beds are surprisingly comfy not a big fan of the open air feel of the place. Also seamed to have quite a bit of issues with the key cards the week we spent here. Main reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is they advertise one price on line and its double that at check in. They didnt even try to honor it. It's a nice area near the airport with lots of good food places near bye. Not bad for the price though.

My husband, our 4-year-old and I ended up here at midnight after spending all day at the airport and being unable to get on a standby flight. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way so much that they actually made us forget the horrible day we'd had! I really can't say enough about how amazing they all were! The rooms were clean, prices reasonable. And the hotel is on the water! A perfect place to stay! Highly recommend!

It's a bit dated but the staff and guest service are very friendly. Let's just say, "It's Old School. " The rooms were well kept. The restaurant buffet was okay but it a little overpriced in my opinion. Whole foods a block away has an incredible breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet, and you can load up on groceries for your day trips. Huge mall across the street if that's what you are into. The rooftop pool sits alongside the restaurant. Go somewhere else if you are looking for that perfect ocean resort view, but your wallet is going to take a beating. There is a small beach here. I didn't come here to stay in a fancy resort room and sit by the pool, I came to see the island.

Front desk accommodated us with free upgrade to larger on the 1st floor on our early check-in. Great for my 89 yo Mom with convenient access to parking area. Hotel restaurant had great breakfast choices of fresh fruit and pancake with Portuguese sausage. Waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Good Location, Friendly service but sure has some issues. Let me explain: 1. We made reservation for three people, two adults and one 14 year old child. We were giving 200 Sq ft room with absolutely no space for third person to sleep. They quickly resolved it but they need to pay extra attention to it. 2. Room was with Garden View but window was dirty and frosty from salt and rain. It was definitely not washed for many days. Absolutely no benefit of having room with garden view. 3. Good green grass in garden but very plain with not a lot of trees or scrubs. There is also someone living by the beach end of the resort. Not sure who it is but stopped us going to beach. 4. Rooms are clean but looks very plain and old. Good economical and clean hotel.

First off its my birthday and flew into town because a family member is having open heart surgery. Had a budget rental reservation but the line was insane so booked elsewhere. We ended up taking an Uber here for a Hertz reservation and somehow I ended up on no rent list. They can’t tell me why and give me a number to call that is closed it’s 12:00 noon. I ask if they have a shuttle that goes back to the airport to the other companies and they ask “Are you staying at the hotel? ” Of course not they know that. I leave the Hertz desk and get a friend on the phone to come pick up and when I ask a hotel employee where we are, I get a the “Maui beach hotel” in the complete opposite response you would expect from someone in the hospitality industry. I haven’t seen one hotel guest and we’ve know been here an hour and a half figuring this out. Maybe the word is already out these people will not take care of you.

Not a bad stay. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms a little run down but everything was clean and staff was nice and helpful.

This place was disappointing. Shower smelled like mildew. Bedding and towels were washed with so much detergent they felt stiff and seemed like the "fresh linen " smell was intentional to cover up carpet smell. Sketchy people in the parking lot. Ac is extremely loud and old. Nit a very inviting and welcoming hotel. Very run down. I've stayed at run down hotels where the hospitality is excellent. But not here. I had to stay here for 5 days for work. Terrible place.

From the minute we entered the lobby we were greeted with a smile and information of where to go without hesitation. The buffet was a variety of a salad & fruit bar a breakfast and lunch table plus a carving station. Of course you can't forget the desserts and beverage bar. Great food great staff and my Family what a beautiful way to start Mother's day.

Our first trip to Maui and we booked with Maui Beach Hotel for five days. They picked us up from the airport and we had a very nice conversation on the way to the hotel. Check in was a breeze and they have a Hertz rental car office at their lobby. Basic clean room, fridge but no microwave, comfy bed with a stand up shower in the bathroom. We had breakfast at their in house restaurant, delicious food. Room service was done every day when we got back in. Their dinner buffet was just ok. Coin laundry and found out on the last day there is a microwave at the laundry room. They have a shuttle van that takes you with in three miles radius, every hour on the hour! Will be coming back here next time we visit Maui again. Thanks.

The room was clean and the hotel area was well kept. It is an older hotel, but that is the beauty of it. The shuttle service is amazing. The drivers are friendly and very helpful. Beautiful view from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

The facility is quite antiquated BUT that is the CHARM of this place. The staff has abundance of aloha, and the rooms are nicely decorated. The beds feel good and you have plenty pillows (if you need them). Amenities are sufficient — more than expected. It is a lovely place to stay with good rates if you're on a budget. Aloha!

Super super honest review! It’s not clean. The walls are breaking apart and almost everything is rusted. You can tell management has just painted over all the rust and mold. You are out in Maui alll day getting some sun, hiking, zip lining, or just relaxing on the beach. Your hotel room should be where you go back to relax. I can’t really relax because it’s not clean… especially the bathroom. 2 stars because the staff is really nice and the view is awesome. I really hope they upgrade this place because the location is to die for.

The hotel restaurant is bad.
It's buffet, all Oriental food. In the letter says it comes out 23 USD per person but in the end you charge 16% tip. They didn't let us take the dessert to the room.

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the Maui Beach hotel at the end of January. This hotel was very easy to find and in a perfect spot for us to have a new adventure everyday. The rooms were a bit small, but very clean, and the staff was very helpful. Our room had a balcony with a mountain view. I must add a nice perk of this hotel was the restaurant. We only dined for breakfast a few times, but was always good… and the banana pancakes are a must! I would definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Maui.

Small rooms, not very cozy. The wall is fully washable. Not a nice climate. Outdoor area quite OK pool icy.

My wife and I found this place on Travelocity, and they made it seem so much more beautiful and resort like in the pictures. (We were coming here for our honeymoon, and we're sorely disappointed on how it actually looked) But the hard truth is that is only a place you'd want to stop for the night on a budget, and not to care about what it looks like. This place is in sore need of a renovation and remodel in our opinions. There is cracks and chipped paint all over, and our room that we came in on the first night had a blood drop on the comforter and pimple blood squirt all over the vanity mirror. The rooms are very small and we felt it had a more dirty and old place feel to it. We also didn't like that the hotel charged you a $15 Resort fee daily for your car and for their amenities (Which didn't seem like anything). We were "upgraded" to another room with an ocean view, which was the exact same style and size of room, just a different view, in compensation. Overall, my wife and I were not impressed at all with this hotel. My wife and I cancelled the rest of our reservation, and transferred to the Courtyard Marriott (And comically enough, 3 other families did the same thing that day from the Maui Beach Hotel) Don't come here expecting anything fancy. This place is just a overpriced regular place to stay.

Locally owned and operated. An older building but it has been maintained beautifully. Very clean rooms nice views from the common area and the bed was super comfy. Staff was really friendly. If you want to support a local ohana this is the place to do it!

We stayed here 2 years ago. A shuttle picked us up from the airport, they allowed us an extremely early check-in. They gave us an oceanfront suite with a killer view! The room was adequately updated and very clean. There were complimentary beverages in the lobby and an amazing staff that helped us with everything we wanted. It was an incredible stay and we would definitely stay here again!

Average at best. When we checked in, they didn't even give us a heads up that they were doing parking lot construction literally right outside out our room (which was our "balcony" view). They switched our room for us, but charged us extra for "ocean view" and is quite possibly the most disappointing ocean view room I could imagine. I wasn't expecting anything super luxurious, but thought it was bad enough to leave a review. Our "ocean view balcony room" also has little to no privacy, as anyone in the parking lot, such as all the hotel staff and visitors can easily look up and see right into your room when you have the blinds open during the day. There were no open outlets in the room to charge your phone or anything… had to start unplugging things. The only good things I can really say was that the bed is comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast restaurant in the hotel was pretty bad too. Their $6 "fresh fruit" tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for days next to other food. Oh and we found a hair in it which was just the cherry on top. This is why I say average at best. Not a bad place if you are just looking for a small room with a comfy bed.

A very nice place serca the sea.

They charge a resort fee of $15 per night on top of the advertised rate. It took forever to check in, for no reason. Window air conditioning doesn't keep room cool in afternoon. Rooms are small. Bed is comfortable with clean linens and there is a functional desk to get work done. Almost enough plugs to charge all my gear. Not bad.

Loved this place. All about the staff, and their Aloha Spirit. If you want a $17 Mai Tai at the Pool Bar. This is not that place. But quiet, Serene views and a warm friendly attitude from my first day to my last. The Maintenance Man was painting a small portion of the roof when I arrived. When I was done thanking my driver, I turned around to find my new friend the painter walking my bags to the front desk. Aloha and Thanks… Rob.

The worst motel we have ever stayed in! I travel with a group of about 50 people, none of us liked it here. We stay in a different motel every week. They have this nice big property that's a waste. No employee smiles and their favorite word is no. (except the young that drives the shuttle, she's the best thing this place has to offer) Construction going on in the room next door for 3 days starting Sunday morning at 7a. M. Who does that? Smoking area? Yeah, on the sand. Then why do you have a bench and ashtray on the grass? Even threatened with the cops and tickets if they caught us smoking on the grass. Then being watched on cameras and security, lurking in the shadows. Maybe they should use those cameras to catch their peeping tom Andreas. 2 of my Co workers caught him looking in windows, reported it but he's still working here. We informed the guests about it. The buffet they offer most definitely is not worth the price. Don't ask for a second bag of coffee for your room, it's 2 dollars. And you also have to pay for parking, and don't expect a continental breakfast, 20 dollar buffet! This place nickel and dimes you to death! Never again.

Friendly staffs, especially the caterer/server, maintenance personnel who helped us with the air conditioner in our room and most importantly the housekeeper who constantly cleaning our room. Very clean environment. Peaceful and a good place for our retreat. We'll definitely recommend it to our family and friends who would like to visit here on Maui.

This hotel sucks. The Maui seaside Hotel is right next door and a far better choice. There was a used tampon left on the floor in my room at Maui Beach Hotel, thats so gross! So I told the front desk clerks (2 different clerks) on my way out and asked them to please clean my room while I was out for the day. They assured me it would be taken care of. When I came back six hours later, the tampon was still there on the floor in my room, they didn't even bother to clean it. I wouldn't pay a dime to have my dog stay here, don't do it. Go next door to the Seaside, it's far better than Maui Beach.

Located near the city you have access to all you need. Great restaurants are lots than a 5 min drive. The hotel also offers a shuttle service as well! The room size was perfect for myself.

Friendly staff, nice place and good location. The only negative I have was the cable TV connection was terrible. Very pixelated. Didn't spend much time in the room but when we did tried to watch TV and wasn't happy. Although they have free movie rentals in the lobby which helped out. Other than that our stay was great.

The price was very reasonable. I was not expecting what we got for the price. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable! Also got unlimited movie rental from a little red box like kiosk. The ocean view and outdoor area was very nice and enjoyable! The building was a bit older but, that did not affect the cleanliness of the rooms! Only thing I did not like was the roof too pool area! Not very inviting!

We had a flight that arrived in the afternoon so the first night in Maui I wanted a hotel on the water and close to the airport since we were heading to Hana the next morning. This hotel was perfect. Clean and reasonably priced. Not a luxurious resort but a great place to spend the night. They have a great dinner buffet as well.

Just stayed one night but very pleased. Wonderful service, convenient location for a short stay. Looks like a great place to have a wedding. Room was comfortable, bed great. Not as fancy as the big resorts but value much better. Enjoyed being in the local community.

Reasonable price. Located in the industrial part of Maui. Rooms are adequate with the exception of electrical outlets. There were no outlets except the ones already used by the lights, television, and clock. Beds are good and the housekeeping was excellent. Resorts are on the other side of the island, about a half hour drive when there is normal traffic. With traffic, 45 — 60 minutes. Would stay there again.

The ballroom was clean and spacious with adequate seating and tables. Catered coffee tea and lemon water. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spaces. Tables and chairs were good quality. Overall a good space for a seminar.

Excellent Hotel! Nicely located close to the airport, the mall and other points of interest. Rooms are very clean and up to date. Well insulated walls to the point that you don't know you have neighbors. Would recommend this Hotel to everyone coming to Maui.

This is not a 5 star resort hotel, but my husband and I felt the need to balance out some of these reviews. We had to make a last minute reservation due to flight delays and we were nervous based on what the reviews said. For the price this place was great. It did have a slight musky smell but it is an old building so that is expected. Very clean and comfortable beds. The staff is very welcoming, even at midnight! And the shuttle was accommodating (although it does stop at 9pm. Taxi cost $11.30 from the airport). Don't listen to all the snobbish reviews, unless you're a snob.

Maui Beach Hotel is in a very convenient location for anyone going to the airport. It's not the most scenic, but it's clean, has refrigerators in the rooms, a pool, and very friendly staff. They also offer free (one at a time) DVD rentals on-site.

Housekeeping is very good about restocking our room and tidying it up even though it was horribly messy! They have a pool that's open til 10 pm which is nice (but cold that late) and a smaller shower but with a really nice showerhead. I'm liking this hotel. It doesn't have to be a resort for me to enjoy it! They also have some free movies to borrow from the lobby which is nice!

My go to hotel when staying in Kahului on business. Clean rooms, secure and convenient without breaking the bank. Wish the air conditioners were quieter though, seem to have two speeds; F15 fighter jet fast or Concord jet fast.

We arrived around 1:30PM and asked if we could check-in early. We were told that the room wasn't ready — on asking when we could expect the room to be available, Tessie at the front desk told us that it wasn't possible to provide an estimate. We were also discouraged from hanging out in the lounge until the room was ready. Their official check-in time is 3PM, so we offered to come back then at which point we were told that the check-in is at 3 'if the room is ready'. This has to be our worst check-in experience at any hotel. The hotel has well maintained exteriors and gardens, but the interiors need a lot of work. The floor boards have cracks, the elevator stinks and the rooms are small. The room cleaning service comes in around 3-4 PM — God forbid if you care for an afternoon nap to beat the sun. In general, the staff is not willing to extend simple courtesies to make their guest's stay more pleasant. Would NOT recommend this place.

Great place in central kahului. The only thing is its a bit dirty with lots of homeless in the area.

EDIT**** I JUST FOUND A HUGE COCKROACH IN MY ROOM! GET ME OUT OF HERE! This is definitely not the fanciest or most luxurious hotel but it gets the job done. The hotel has a very little beach that is not the best it is littered from being in the bay of the shipping harbor. There is no view from the hotel rooms but outside is a very nice view of the mountains. The pool is small but clean. The hotel is in the center of the city with shops in walking distance in both directions but if you stay here you must rent a car to enjoy the island to its fullest. The best thing about this hotel is there is a Whole Foods within walking distance. The hotel also provides a shuttle service for free which is very nice. Overall plan on just sleeping in the hotel room and doing more exploring during the day.

Rooms were clean, staff were pleasant. Hotel is dated but well kept. Problem we had is that the sewer backed up'd into our bathroom sink, it was very unpleasant.

Nice hotel very friendly staff and you just can't beat the price… Sure its not in the tourist area but an all day bus pass is 4 bucks I enjoyed taking the bus and talking to locals and they go shuttles… Make sure you take at least one ride with scottie great guy with a great personality.

This hotel has come a long way in the last few months the rooms have been re-done. This is not the Ritz I stay here once a month on business its clean and comfortable. The fees are a bit much since I don't use the pool or anything. The staff are always pleasant and the maids always ask me if I need anything when they see me. This is a 3 star hotel that is improving every time I visit. I inspect buildings for a living I have seen much better and I have seen much worse. This is a good clean place to stay but don't expect a 5 star hotel.

I found multiple cockroaches in my room AND in MY BED! I know its an island and things are different. But again. Cockroaches in the bed : (The internet did not work my entire stay and it was something I had to pay extra for. I asked repeatedly about getting it fixed and no one helped me. The hotel was dirty. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend it. I would tell people if they want a cheaper hotel here to stay at Maui Seaside… much much better.

I found this hotel similar to a Super 6 motel. Basically depressing. I agree with one of the reviewers, if going to vacation in Maui go somewhere else. Our flight on United Airlines was cancelled so they put us up here. Major failure on United.

This is a great hotel to stay at IF you are performing business in Kahului or Wailuku. Basically if you are there to just sleep, it is fine. Location is convenient for the main hub of Maui, but if you are here for a vacation, I implore you to consider spending a little more and not staying here. You will do your whole vacation a disservice by staying here over some place in Kihei or Lahaina. Don't have to break the bank, but this is a hotel that supports locals and their business more than tourists.

This place is awesome. Been here for 3 months. There is a bellman named Rexi who is awesome. Employees are great. Ben Rafter is the ceo of aqua hotels. Great guy and runs a great ship. Family atmosphere.

I travel to Maui every other week for business. At a great price you will get from the Maui Beach Hotel: friendly service, convenient location, clean facilities. In comparison to other hotels on Maui, the quality of the hotel at the price offered is a great deal.

I checked out and paid the bill in full (given receipt) of $823.00. OVER 10 DAYS LATER THEY ROBBED ME! they decided "hmmm I want more money" and they switched the amount to $941.00! which over drafted my account! THIEVES-LIARS-SWINDLERS-DESPARATE-LOW CLASS.

At first it looked good but they din't have microwave, the fridge was small and on our last night I found a cockroach on the floor in the middle of the night while going to the restroom. I really freaked out.
