AWESOME service! The room was just lovely! Although $200/ night was a bit steep. I enjoyed myself. The pool need shape! It was extremely hot in every area including the the area by the door. Breakfast was freaking AWESOME!! $15/ per adult and free refills on juice :) The room was PERFECT! SO cozy! Everything was simply nice. I didn't feel so bad about the price once I got to see just how nice everything was!

Room service was great. Friendly and quick. WAY WAY too expensive though. Menu says $4 for soda and when it came is was A CAN!!!! A CAN? Seriously? At the very least, if you’re going to charge 4 bucks, make it a bottled drink. Outrageous! Staff acted very quickly to my request for a new room due to loud construction outside of my room. That was amazing and I was impressed with the speed in which it was handled. Now on to something I experienced that I’ve read others have mentioned as well. The hallways are neglected by the cleaning staff. I saw the same unkept carpet on 2 floors so I can only assume it’s like that on the others too. Trash all down the hallway floors 10 AND 12.. actually saw a big chunk of weave hair and wanted to barf. The only floor that is kept clean is the lobby floor. It should be absolutely unacceptable to whomever manages the cleanliness of the hotel. On to a complaint that isn’t their fault but should have been handled though. At least 4 rooms of disrespectful guests yelled and slammed doors both nights I was there starting at midnight and went on for hours and when I called the front desk my second night over and over again I got no answer. 2 different people other than myself complained, one even changed floors from the amount of noise(smart) Extremely frustrating and for that reason I won’t be staying there again. It was an absolute miserable weekend and I wont ever spend money on this hotel again because of the noise in both rooms.

The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Ours had a large window with a great view, plenty of seating, and a television equipped with the top channels, HBO Go, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The parking lot was massive, clean, roomy, safe, and free. Downsides - breakfast buffet is $14, water is a little soft, toilet paper sucks, coffee was mediocre at best, some of the front desk personnel could be better. We requested extra pillows from the front desk and never got them. We then requested them on the mobile app a few hours later and received them very quickly. The welcome we received was not up to Marriott standards. This hotel is head and shoulders above the downtown hotels at the same or better price. Great proximity to restaurants and shopping. If I return to Baton Rouge, I will definitely stay here.

Attended a work meeting here. The food was fabulous - breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Definitely a high quality of food and diverse options. The temperature in meeting rooms was comfortable. The hallway outside the rooms was noisy, which was my only complaint. There were employees coming amd going from their shifts and guests going to the concierge suite and fitness room. Meeting rooms are typically in a remote area for quiet.

Nice location, respectful friendly employees, small cute and doable gym it serves its purpose. The rooms are clean the ac works very well. However, there's no microwave, room service and everything else closes way too early. They should at least have exception for when there are major events in town, also room service left our room open, exposing our things to get stolen. When notifying front desk their response was horrible..... they act as if it was not an issue, and that was very alarming!.

This hotel lacks for the cost. The cost if you are lucky is $143 per night plus tax. Internet is an additional $10 per day. And breakfast is an additional charge. Why does it seem that the more a hotel room costs, the less the guest receives? Ever noticed that? At this rate, I could have stayed in a LaQuinta where I would have received free Internet, a free Continental breakfast, and would have saved $60 per night (taking breakfast into the equation). The only reason that I am awarding two stars is because staff were friendly and the room was average for hotel room cleanliness. Not my favorite hotel.

Very nice place. Clean and very spacious, I wish we could take the shower home lol. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is because they dont offer a complimentary breakfast and they don't inform the guest until it's time to pay. I wish we would have been able to get into the pool but they always had a ton of people swimming this weekend. But overall a great experience!

I'll stay again. Great customer service as well as a lovely place. Just need to fix their computer system. Lot of problems with people (myself included) making reservation via phone and the Internet and it getting royally muffed up. Seriously though you all have all that money tied up in this beautiful place can't you get decent software to run your company?

Really beautiful hotel! The bed was so comfortable. I loved the breakfast buffet in the morning, with the egg / omelette bar which was delicious! And the hotel bar had a very nice and reasonably priced wine list.

Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious with a great view. Staff was friendly and inviting. Air flow from the AC seemed a bit weak, but the larger room would explain this. TV was modern, with netflix, youtube, etc built in, which was a welcome surprise, although I didn't use these features.

If you like a place with attention to aesthetics, this is the place for you—ARTSY and exhilarating, no space undecorated. It was my first time in a room, bath, and hotel styled this nicely. Pillows were awesome and bed so comfy. Loved my walks through this grand hotel my entire weekend stay for conference… always daydreaming of going back!

3/5.0

Location was about 15 minutes from downtown and LSU. Conveniently close to a nice mall and some good eats. The walls in the room were thin so we could hear conversations throughout the night and obnoxiously inconsiderate guests speaking loudly in the hallway. The bathroom uses barn sliding doors which is cool in concept but lacks privacy if sharing a room. Bathroom also needs a handle or rack for hand/face towels and doesn't have an air vent.

Came in town to visit family. This place was very nice n Beautiful as well as the outside view from my room. The pool water was warm since it's a lil chilly this time of year. The bed was comfortable I slept like a baby. The dine in food was awesome. Fenton and the Bell men who waited on me for services did a excellent job including their good attitude n smile in I love there shuttle access to n from within 3 miles so I hit the mall up I will be back at this hotel the next time I visit Baton Rouge

The Renaissance Baton Rouge is quite simply the best hotel I've ever stayed in. And that's saying a lot because in the past 5 years I have stayed over a Thousand Nights in hotels around the country and all over the world. The difference? The people. The people here are totally committed to amaze their guests. About 6 months ago I became ill on staying here and not only if they calling to check on me every morning and every night, they delivered a complimentary bowl of gumbo to my room. Gumbo is the Louisiana equivalent of chicken noodle soup! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Rooms are beautiful and spacious food is delicious and the staff is second to none. If you're ever in Louisiana do yourself a favor and book the Renaissance Baton Rouge.

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! I came into town for a friend’s wedding and fell in love with this hotel. My room had enough space and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE, I did not even want to get out of it. The bathroom was nice and had a makeup lights/ mirror which I used often. The staff was nice and courteous and always greeted you with a smile and asked if there was anything that they could do for us. I am staying there again when I go back to visit and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing I did not like is no free Wi-Fi, but I can deal with that because everything else was so nice. Also, Anthony assisted my friend and I and he was so nice and sweet. I will be looking for him during my next stay to help me.

Just checked out of this hotel, and it did not disappoint! The hotel is clean, the check in process was super quick and smooth, the room was well appointed (had a king bed room). I have to commend their service. The room service experience was quite literally the best I have ever had in the US. From the friendliness upon calling, to the call back when delivery was on its way, to the hot and fresh food, and the friendliness of the girl who delivered the food, it could not have been a better experience. Check out was a breeze. As an added bonus, the all natural toiletries are a personal favorite. Usually, I cannot utilize hotel toiletries due to my sensitive skin but the avena products were awesome! I will definitely choose to stay here again, especially since the other Baton Rouge hotels have left something to be desired.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Over the last two years of regularly visiting this hotel, have only had an issue on a few visits, and all bit one was resolved. The one that wasn't required a new room and all rooms were booked. But they offered me breakfast and concierge access for my stay.

Nice looking, good beds. Little pricey especially if you have a room on pool side playing loud music into the night for a party. The rooms amplify the sound coming from pool party late into the night. Towels and hand towels are stiff/hard, good for the wash clothes but no for drying. Rooms lack plug spots to easily charge phones etc. My personal room had one side of bed lights not working but does not bother me much, but for price they should work. There is a working mini fridge in the room which is good for drinks or some small items. I feel I could get a similar or better room for less in the area like their courtyard Marriott or their competitors.

This is a great hotel, but be careful how much you pay for it as their rates seem to vary widely. I stayed here a second time recently and got a nice room on the top floor. The rooms are beautiful and well-decorated. The continental breakfast (not included unless you have required Marriott status) left something to be desired. The food was plentiful and pretty good, but the service was very spotty and the servers seemed more interested in hanging out and talking to each other. This is a very popular event venue on weekends, so don't be surprised if it's very lively.

We were passing through and had a reservation. We unpacked and then noticed it was a handicap room. The two phones did not work. A light bulb was out. The hair dryer had lint caked on the screen. Most hotels have a little store. They had a shelf or two of some snacks. They was a coke machine but no other vending machine on my floor. It's a nice hotel, but little attention to details. It should have a small store or a much wider selection of snacks and drinks.

This place is over rated. The name is big, the hotel is big, fancy and very elegant but when I got into the room it was disappointing to see that the decor& bed is very much like the Comfort Inn. The cost was $189. 00 a night, totally not worth it. Stay at the Comfort Inn, at least you get a free breakfast. Breakfast at this place is $10 and above.

My room floor including my bathroom was sticky when I walked in. When I checked in I agreed to the $10 breakfast. Went in for the breakfast and was told I needed a coupon. Went to front desk (second time now) and they did not see where it was added after standing for 3 minutes and 1000 key punched later. Was told "I'm sorry I don't see it" with an long awarded silence awarded. I was hoping they would correct the issue but it didn't happen. The food was worse than a McDonald's breakfast left in the truck for a few hours. Paid $15 for it. Also I was put by the vending machines and they have a door separating it from the hall. Might as well have somebody pounding a hammer outside the door. I am usually easily pleases and not picky but started off bad and got worse.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure of HAVING an experience at this hotel because we got SCREWED by the fine print. So, that means no wonderful, affordable, relaxing weekend in BR for the LSU game we wanted to attend. Nope. Instead, we will be home, at our walk-in closet sized house, bursting at the seams, unable to watch most or all of the game while we follow around 3 kids with diapers, wet wipes, pooper scoopers and bath towels. Thank you, Renaissance. Thank you for politely suggesting that we pay $520 for the PRIVILEGE of staying in your hotel because you cannot afford to allow a couple to redeem a gift cert purchased at a benefit auction on a football weekend in BR. Seriously? Losing that $520 is going to hurt that much? I can promise you one thing, losing that $520 will not hurt you more than paying it will cripple our pay-check to pay-check asses. We attempt to remain responsible people, and try to win a gift cert at a charity auction for a price we can actually afford without taking a 2nd mortgage for use on a budget getaway weekend and sure enough. Screwed by the fine print (which is not always printed in small font, but still). I'm bringing my magnifying glass to every event we attend from now till eternity.

My husband came to Baton Rouge on business so our boys and I decided to tag along. This is a very nice hotel with a great pool. We had room service and the food was very good. But our family part of this hotel was the people that worked there and the service we received. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Thank you we had a great stay.
