The location was convenient for the purpose of my visit. The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were very supportive and the staff was very friendly. I would stay here again for future visits to the area.

Do not stay here. There are bugs, bathroom had hair in it and the mini fridge still had food in it from. I'm assuming from a previous guest. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned. I killed four bugs and when the fifth one got on me, I got my stuff and went to a different hotel in the middle of the night. The trouble was, the only one open was 2 HOURS AWAY in Lake Charles. That happen to be another La Quinta ame that one was super nice. I had to pay $140 for it so it was basically like I paid for this hotel for 3 nights. I tried to tell the lady at the front desk when I checked out but she clearly didn't care. She was polite, but just said oh… sorry. I'm going to need my money back or something because this was ridiculous! I had to spend triple what I thought PLUS gas for driving two hours to get another room. Not to mention I was tired because I drove all the way from South Georgia to Baton Rouge. Do not stay here.

The bed was comfortable but to be honest, I don't think they changed the sheets nor comforter.

This is not the first time I have stayed here I've never had issues with noise and since I don't concern myself with other people I can't speak on that whatever the other guest have going on the walls are thick so that's no problem my room is always clean good towels soft bed BUT it's 3 hours and 22 minutes BEFORE checkout WHY is housekeeping BEATING on my door like the police like wow frightened me out of my sleep there is no do not disturb sign but the hotel is EMPTY what could she possibly want so early why are you bothering me how rude is that I'm not giving you my towels I still have to get ready to leave in just under 3 1/2 hrs then it's the beginning of the season I choose here for the pool but it's closed for the next few weeks for repair did you know the season was coming up and I've been here 3 days right outside the pool never seen anyone working on it smh.

Low quality, very careless rooms.

Do not make the beds or the toilets when you stay two nights, swimming pool does not work, not to recommend!

The room wasn't cleaned properly from the last persons stay. There were empty yoohoo bottles, candy rappers, plastic utensils etc left in drawers. One bed, had hair particles all over it & there were some damp towels in the bathroom.

Check in lasy was extremely helpful. Our room was cleaned by Valarie, and it was spotless! The room even smelled good. Breakfast hit the spot. Good coffee!

Gross motel. The smell of the room made me nauseous and everything stunk. We decided against showering as the tub seemed like we would get dirtier. We skipped breakfast since the conditions of the rooms were so bad and I doubt the kitchen is better. Will never stay here again and will always tell people to run the other way. Such a better La Quinta down the road.

It was cheap and the rooms were clean enough. What more could you want out of a motel?

Absolutely horrendous! Not clean at all, bad air conditioning unit, and pubes everywhere. The sheets had clearly not been changed. The towels were disgusting and there was garbage on the floor. Absolutely do not stay here.

For $58 (Expedia) it was what I expected. Good service, good continental breakfast at a great price. Everything was clean. The hotel is located close to Perkins Road and easy to get to from the interstate.

Carpet was sloppy and filthy. Room smelled musty, paint falling off the walls in the bathroom. This place was VERY disappointing for a La Quinta and to have to pay for it was even more disappointing. I am a Rewards member and this is by far the worse I have ever experienced Chef Gene.

If you’re looking for a safe, clean, quiet hotel, do NOT stay here: drugs, prostitutes, people partying with loud music. Twice people tried to get into my room — once at 9:30 pm and once at 3 am. For some reason this location attracts scary people, and I did not feel safe. Do not stay here if you’re a female traveling alone or if you have children. I believe the management has no problem selling rooms to people using those rooms for illegal activities. I stayed just long enough to sleep a few hours and saw prostitutes at 5:30 a. M. This is more like a $40 a night hotel not an $80 a night hotel. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life: roaches, litter everywhere, badly in need of renovation and attracts a bad crowd.

Very friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Outside entrances to rooms with young adults running knocking on doors was noisy, That evening.

Booked a deluxe double but was given a standard and room service never came and had to go to office for towel. Breakfast was good though thanks to being able to make your own waffles.

We checked in late last night ready for bed. I'm The middle of the night I felt like a bug was crawling on me, but I through the blankets off and brushed it off, not even getting up to look. We got up this morning getting ready to go and I noticed to go cup from the restaurant had a bug on it. It was a strange looking but I had never seen before so I began looking around. I noticed down at the foot of the bed under the covers were SEVERAL black looking bugs. My brain immediately went to bed bugs, I grabbed my stuff off that bed as far as I could and told my husband too come look and let's get out of here. As we left he went and told the very nice lady inside that we thought we found bed bugs. She didn't act surprised at all, just advised us to call and get our points back. It was as if she knew. I can't be positive it was bed bugs, but it has thrown a big time delay in our vacation. We're now at a laundry mat putting everything in the hottest dryer they have. Spending money and time we have no desire to spend. What a mess! I will also add, the owner should take some time to come look at the property if they haven't. It needs repairs in the room we were in and a good deep cleaning. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps the fact there were not many cars in the parking area should have been something that I should have paid attention to.

Friendly staff, clean basic accommodations, good price, and convenient location.

The only good thing was the pillows were comfortable. The room was nasty and the price was way more than advertised. There were spider webs in the shower, and the shower would not drain. It's the worst la Quinta we have ever stayed in.

Its a decent spot for the price. Clean beds and bathroom. Quiet location. Helpful staff. A solid hotel.

I travelled from Florida with my family to evacuate hurricane Irma only to arrive to no rooms. I reserved my room, got my confirmation before we left. Emily the front desk clerk thought it would be a good idea to give my room away. My family including my children and 92 year old grandmother had to sleep in the car while I scambled at 3am to find another room! You have not heard the end of this!

Dirty, even the sheets in a closed bed looked dirty with stains. Dirty floors in and out. People standing around the hotel looked doing certain business … I reserved because it was a LaQuinta, but once there I went to see the place and bedrooms and cancelled and left. Staff wasn't helpful ether.

Oh my gosh this place was easy to check in and right off I 10 But it was full of Hookers no joke as we were getting our room the police came and put 3 hookers in jail ran 2 men off but as soon as police left they were all back walking around the place. I felt very un safe the whole night. I felt like there were some locals that lived on property in room or just had been there a few weeks. La Quinta usally is a nice place to stay but this place was really ran down and reminded me of the slums. I never ever write a bad reviews but with 2 babies I thought I might want to give everyone a heads up. Receptionist were really nice and friendly at check in.

Due for some renovations, but not the "crystal palace", if you know what I mean. Nice BBQ joint across the street. Cable and Internet didn't work during our stay, but I was told before paying. The front desk staff asked if I enjoyed my stay when I checked out and I said "sure" and she was like, "leave us a Google review online" and it felt a little pushy, or maybe she hates having to make these requests, but here I am doing it because her odd way of requesting an online review stuck in my head. I've been battling internally for nearly 2 months about giving this review, but dang lady, you win. Too bad I couldn't honestly give more than 3 stars. That lady gets 5 stars, she will be featured prominently in my autobiography. Oh, and the pool seemed kinda gross. Didn't swim.

We stayed here in hopes our room would be decent like many other La Quinta hotels we have stayed at. It wasn't. Sketchy looking people watched us taking our baby's bed out of out truck. Also when we walked in the room it smelled like smoke extremely bad. Also our room had a huge hole where the toilet paper holder goes. Rather than fixing it the put in next to the sink. Our room had lots of dirt and dust built up in the corners. If you like breakfast don't stay here unless you like to fight for it.

Overall service was friendly room was clean in the bed was comfortable. It seems the building it's getting a little aged. The Styling has not changed in decades. However, for the price the quality was good.

Overall a nice place to stay, rooms are a little small, bathroom is really small. Room serves purpose, came for Crossfire IYC, did not need a big spacious room, just place to sleep. Planning on staying here Thanksgiving too. Has been quiet, appears out of town workers stay here. Haven't seen what some have post of shady people or questionable activities. Staff is very friendly, appear to take pride in their work.

It was located bear the Interstate. Really good rooms. Clean and well kept. Aside from not changing linens every day, the service was excellent, despite the limited breakfast options.

Room was decently clean and furnished with the bare minimums — — including toiletries, ironing board and iron, coffee maker, TV with basic cable and HDMI ports. Carpet was stained, but not disgusting. Free Wi-Fi. A/C blew cold. Breakfast was very minimal. Staff was informally courteous, though not particularly professional. Get what ya pay for.

Just fine. They will clean your room when you ask, serve very simple breakfast, and at least give answers to your questions.

Room had cigarette odor, plus when I requested another room they told me they didn't have, plus I booked this hotel using priceline and they charged me at the hotel reception as well. Look for another place to stay!

It is a decent hotel with decent people. The location is okay if you can maneuver through traffic well enough. You must be specific on what you want in your room (ex. Refrigerator or microwave) or they will pretty much put you anywhere else. If Wi-fi is a requirement for you, get a room on the front side or back side. The rooms in between had a very very poor signal.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other reason than Mardigras. Their lobby didn't look like somewhere I'd want to eat, not even a free breakfast. They had painted recently but was definitely not professional, and the room was really hot with a crappy AC.

Rooms were relatively nice. Service was really customer friendly. Overall a very decent experience.

The staff was nice and considerate. It was quite in the port of the hotel I was in, but that was the end of the good things to say. The bathroom floor was not clean, and there was mold/mildew stains on the wall, floor, and ceiling. The building was older, granted, but you can make am older building seem like new. This one was horrible. The ac didn't work correctly. The bathtub faucet leaked. Then the so called breakfast… the boiled eggs were like rubber, the "fresh" waffles were the frozen eggo type that you pop in a toaster. I think the staff were doing what they could with what they had, but this is not the quality that I am used to in a LA Quinta. Yes, it is a lower price, but I have stayed La Quinta before and it was never this disappointing. I don't put it on the staff, this falls completely on the owner/management. How unfortunate.

This would be the place to stay if you was working out of town on those long hours, just to get a warm shower and sleep. It's cheap and clean and the staff is very, very nice people! If I was the owner and had some money to upgrade something on the property, I would upgrade the showers. Replace the bathtub showers. I've stayed here 4 different times in four different rooms and if you wanted good Wi-Fi, ask for a room on the very end, the router is in room 154. The closer you get toward the office, you will not have Wi-Fi or you do and it's really, really, slow. I'm staying in room 154 and it's ok now but still a little slow. The rates as far as LA Quinta is the cheapest in Baton Rouge!

The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. The A/C doesn't get very cold, but it was ok. The pool is supposed to close at 10:00 but it doesn't, if you want any sleep, don't get a room near the pool. People yelled and screamed by the pool until 10:30. I called the front desk twice, then had to walk down and ask them to move us. The lady at the front desk walked down with me and told the people to get out of the pool. The next night the pool quieted down around 10:30, but at midnight I woke up with kids screaming to top of their voice and jumping in the pool. I called the front desk and the desk clerk said she was sending security down. The noise stopped about 15 minutes later. Obviously the pool does not lock, so children could be drowning at midnight and that would be ok. I got little sleep, but they did comp the second night. Most likely wouldn't stay at this location again.

Horrible customer service. Took them more than 20minutes just to check me in. Understaffed and terribly managed.

Good stay. People were very nice and continental breakfast was ok. For the prices and comfort It was worth It.

Came in from out of town. La Quinta is a usual stay. Booked a room here, walked in AND directly walked back out. Dirty tubs, bad toilet, the vanity was nice but that was the only upside. Choose elsewhere if you are able.

Room okay but not good housekeeping my room need dusting, floor vacuum, the sink, tub n toilet was dirty n the room have n bad odor.

This place is DIRY, the room had a horrible odor, they quoted one rate and when we arrived it was higher, was supposed to have refrigerator and microwave did not. Plumbing was horrible the stool backed up we went for plunger and the front desk attendant was annoyed that we asked, then proceeded to say make sure you return the plunger, my response is were is your maintence crew. The floor felt so disgusting I dare not walk barefoot. Will never stay at another La Quinta again. The cleaning lady was AWESOME, VERY NICE LADY.

Stayed with our 2 dogs on a trip back to Florida last month. Decent overall for the price, and on our return trip through, we will stay again. We looked at the Red Roof Inn in Baton Rouge, but the reviews were much WORSE, so we figured, for the little difference in price, it would be worth it. At least we know what we're getting.

I made reservations and was given a price I got there and the room I had was not ready so I took another room was supposed to have been cheaper but was not, but the room stayed clean and housekeeping was friendly, although I did not have a fridge or microwave, I did sleep very well. Next time I will make sure to reserve a room a little more in advanced this way maybe it will be a better rate. The water has so much conditioner in it it made your skin feel to soft like slime.

I stay at La Quinta 80% of the time when I travel. I know they have a small range when it comes to the hotels' quality due to age of each property. I have always been satisfied. I can't say I was not satisfied with this hotel, but the smell in the room was OVERWHELMING. I had to purchase Lysol and spray down the room in order to be comfortable. I think the neighboring restaurant fries all of their food and over the years the smell has infested the rooms. However, for what I paid, this property was clean and in a great location. Plus, the staff made up for the stinky room.
