A great value for your money! Located in nice area of town that felt safe. Friendly & attentive staff. Spacious and well laid out rooms. Clean sheets and comfortable beds. Nice work space/ table for eating. Bathroom had good lighting and a large countertop space for the complimentary toiletries provided, as well as additional necessary space. Room included a nice comfy chair with a reading lamp for reading or watching TV, as well as a mini fridge, microwave and in room safe, and other necessities like iron & ironing board.

Checked in and ask front desk staff what time breakfast was served. The gentleman said 6am — 9am. Walking down the hall to our room there were stains on the hallway carpet looking like spilled milk or puke! Our room had a king bed and a double bed. The King mattress was broken down and had a huge low spot in one area. It belonged in the dump. The TV would not connect to anything. Just a no input message. The shower head was at least 10 years old and didn’t work well. And there was no breakfast. When I talked to the manager the next morning, she was very rude and kept interrupting me as I made my complaints. She would not refund our money since we booked through Booking. Com Traveler beware! There are way better hotels in the area.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in. Comfortable bed and cold A/C. Also, check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. Would have loved to use the Whirlpool, but I understand it being closed due to COVID-19.

A single Mom asked to leave because her newborn was crying. During the day not like it was in middle of the night and the lady Andrea was SO rude.

The guy at the desk was more than accommodating. He had us all set up I’mpn a room and in conversation he found out that we had been walking all day and I was in a lot of pain (I’m disabled) and without hesitation he quickly changed our room to one right at the door for less walking on me. There was what looked like a child’s hand print of blood on the bathroom door and we went tell him… he was right behind my husband and came clean it himself and even offered us another room. Other than that, our room was spotless and very spacious and comfortable and also extremely quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Location and staff are exceptional! I stay here every time I come to Lafayette. The rooms are nice and large. You’re close to everything you could think of… airport, restaurants, gas stations, banks, Walmart, car wash, and so much more. One of the most important things… they serve hot breakfast. Sausage, eggs, grits, oatmeal, cereal they have it. I just love myself some Wingate as well as the entire staff they’re always trying to do whatever they need in order to accommodate their guests. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I looked online to compare all of the Lafayette hotels while planning a 5-night stay. We chose Wingate by Wyndham due to its price point and amenities, particularly the breakfast selection and laundry facilities. Now that our stay is coming to an end, we realize what a tremendous value we have received. Our expectations have been exceeded in so many ways; including the hot breakfast, the friendly service, and the cleanliness of our room. Thank you Wingate by Wyndham for helping to make our first visit to Louisiana such an enjoyable one!

Room was nice and clean. King size bed was comfortable. We were given a handicap room, which was fine. Only complaints were that the shower floor was slick and we were right next to the laundry room and every time the washer was spinning it knocked and echoed in our room, especially the bathroom. We weren't in there much during the day so it wasn't a big deal. The free breakfast was good but the second morning they were out of OJ and fruit and when they brought out more sausage it was cold and the "cook" said it would warn up in the warmer.

The staff was nice. He waited until after the 2 a. M. Check in time because my flight got delayed. The accommodations were nice. Overall it was adequate hotel room for the price I paid.

Disgusting! Mud on the wall, room was filthy. Don’t look at pictures because that isn’t the actual tiny room you’ll get. Stains, just nasty. Needs a deep clean and remodel. Manager refused to refund and let us leave after walking in and looking at our room. Manager was on the phone arguing with a customer while I was checking in, that should’ve given me my red flag. It was honestly disgusting!

Noisy, noisy, noisy. The people above me have been pacing, heavy footed, back and forth ALL NIGHT LONG. The floor/ceiling squeaks. Someone nearby has been blasting a TV throughout the night. 4 calls to the front desk, they politely told me issues would be fixed, but absolutely nothing happened. Worst place ever. I have no idea how these reviews are not fake. The walls must be made of paper.

Clean and very friendly service. It was a new Motel, good restaurants near by. Nice place.

Had bugs in my bed. Would compensate me since I booked through Expedia. But was offered a free candy bar and water … this was from the manager. 5/6/2018

Pros: Hotel staff is courteous Cons: Woman showing physical and behavioral indicators of meth addiction living in hotel… Possibly a prostitute working of hotel? A large pitbull, a dangerous breed, has been loose in the hallways. Watch your kids! People preforming sex acts in public in the back parking lot. Whole place smells bad. Door doesn't shut correctly on some rooms. Stained carpet. Barking dogs Awful awful awful breakfast even by hotel standards.

The hotel is in a convenient location. Service is excellent. Staying is comfortable, staffs are very courteous. Needs some improvement by supplying more bathroom supply. Wish to be here again.

Mr. Andrea is one of the best managers I have ever met. From the front desk to the house keepers, everyone is very friendly. This is my 4th stay in Lafayette and I will always stay with Andrea and her team.

It's 3 am and people are being loud, dogs barking in the room next to me. Yes, pet friendly hotel … Where animals can poop & pee on the carpet that does not get cleaned. Disgusting! If I could get my money back I would and next time I'll pay for a hotel people can not afford so I can get good service and good REST! Found dried dog Pooh and 2 ticks. Very nasty, loud and uncomfortable.

I'm so disappointed. I stayed here off and on pretty often about 5-6 years ago and it was at that time one of my favorite hotels. When I walked in it was dark humid and musty smelling as if housekeeping were cleaning with dirty towels. The hallways were even worse but more like old sweat. Then I got to the room it was so hot the wall ac component no longer worked so I had to turn it on manually. And when I went to use the bathroom there was one tenth of a roll of toilet paper left on a two roll fixture and Not one bar of soap or shampoo, nothing. I haven't been in the bed yet but 5 years ago that was one of the only reasons why I loved this place so much. But after all that I'm not expecting much.

We enjoyed our stay in Lafayette. The manager & staff were very helpful and friendly. It was Super Bowl Sunday and we had fun watching the game and eating snacks. It was clean and had an easy access to everything. We would stay there again. Great Louisiana coffee.

Upstairs people were very noisy. Had to tell the front desk that I would make it stop if they ddidnt. That was on the second call.

I stayed at the hotel due to business, and it was a last minute reservation. The hotel staff was friendly and willing to accommodate all our obscure needs for billing. Great stay, will return when I'm in Lafayette!

I stayed here for a week from Lake Charles and I couldn't have been more pleased. The beds were soft, the breakfast phenomenal, and the showers actually had strong water pressure. Also, while I was staying in the cold weather, my car wouldn't start. I asked Spencer from the front desk if he could possibly help me. He said, "My pleasure", stopped what he was doing and helped jump my car. Fantastic hotel. Fantastic staff. 10/10 would stay again!

Overall my stay was nice. The people were very hospitable and accommodating, hotel staff and other guests as well. The breakfast was one of the better ones. However, I have one complaint and that is that the walls are too thin. I could hear all the goings on of the room next to ours, which does not make for a good nights sleep.

Service was excellent It's conveniently located and super clean. The free breakfast was also much better than expected. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Thank you for the excellent stay.

Very new and nice. Close to airport but not far from I-10. Close to lots of food, including t-Coons. Very nice management and staff. They had lots of good recommendations. Tried hard to make sure we had a good stay.

I just got to this hotel from New York and I felt like I had to rate this hotel. It is a great stay I don't have one complaint about this hotel. I thought when I got here it wasn't going to look anything like what I have seen on the website, but it is everything as advertised. I'm in a one king size bed room and the room is a great size and I would definitely stay again. The breakfast is compamentry and and the food was great. It's a great stay for the price.

Great manager along with the staff they were very friendly, my room was very clean, comfortable bed, nice full breakfast that was Delicious can't forget the amazing hot tub was very relaxing, I would definitely stay here again.

We had a very good experience. The lobby and rooms were very clean and in very good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a mini fridge and microwave, which was nice. The hotel itself had nice amenities, such as a pool, hot tub, and gym room. It also offered a nice hot breakfast that was complimentary. The location was not bad. It's only 5 minutes from the University of Lafayette, which is the reason why we were there. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

We only needed one night so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room this hotel, Was very clean. Didn't have a problem. I would recommend.

Very convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was kind and helpful. I have a dietry restriction so they allowed me to look at the breakfast item ingredients to make sure what I ate was safe. Perfect spot for a overnight business trip.

The room was nice the Wi-Fi was less to be desired I kept going in and out. Service could be a little better.

The staff was friendly except for one woman because my phone didn't work in my room. They took care of it. The place is a bit pricy but the rooms are great. Also I would highly recommend not eating in the area as most places operate on this annoying automated system that takes all day to use and it's very expensive. I'd recommend it if you're moving or passing through otherwise I'd go to Texas or NOLA. Not much around.

Hotel is ok. Front desk is helpful. Breakfast is adequate, have had better at most places. Annoying loud radio playing. Had to call and ask front desk to turn it off 2 nights in a row. Housekeeping was awful. Came to the room at 5 p. M. To see if we needed anything. Never cleaned the room nor made beds. Brought clean towels after we asked them to at least do that. Carpet in room was very stained. Won't stay here again.

This is my go to hotel when I have to go to Lafayette once a month. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean.

For the price I'd stay elsewhere hell I've stayed in cheaper places yeah maybe not so clean but the beds we're comfortable. The beds here suck so bad it would be better to sleep in your vehicle or outside on a concrete curb. We got a room with a king 1st floor there was no possible way to get any sleep on the broken piece of garbage so we asked to be moved to another room not a problem but still uncomfortable but not as bad as the first room overall if you're looking to stay here I wouldn't do it.

Housekeeping has a thief! I have stayed at this hotel previously in the past several times and only had a problem once which the owner of the hotel just happened to be there and promptly moved me to another room. My last stay was in October and I left a much loved robe at the hotel. I am 100% sure that I left it there and I called to only found out that no one had turned it in. I called three times after that hoping that someone would acknowledge this. Yes I realize ultimately it is my fault I left it there but it is sad to know that housekeeping has a thief! I never leave a mess behind because I know that housekeeping would have to deal with it and this is how I am repaid.

I was a guest at this hotel the last of August and was delighted with my stay. I travel a lot both nationally and internationally and I am a bit picky when it comes to my hotels. This was very nice, quiet and more importantly clean! The breakfast was nice with many choices, the beds were great and the location perfect for my plans. More importantly the employees were absolutely delightful from the young lady that checked me in, to the lady in the breakfast room, to the two ladies that checked me out. If their behavior is any indication then yes, Lafayette is indeed the friendliest city in the U. S.

This is the second time wingate did this to me. I make a reservation for king size bed. I pre pay. I show up for room. Go to my room, and guess what I now have 2 small beds. When I ask to be put into what I pre paid for, I am told how sorry they are, that I originally had queen size and that they over booked. I pull out my paper work, which clearly says king size. Oh well nothing we can do. 2 times within 2 weeks. Only wingate does this. I travel alot and use other hotels, seems wingate is a bad choice. Its late in day, I travel many cities, not time to go looking elsewhere. Very bad customer service. I ask where I can lodge a complaint, and am told go online. At wingate website, no tab for complaints. Just avoid. Noisy, workers drinking beer, no restaurant, plane noise. It only gets worse. Should just give what they sell, my king size bed for the night.

We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Lafayette, LA the night of July 10, 2010. All night long someone above us was walking across the floor making loud, almost stomping noises. It made it almost impossible for my husband to get any sleep. I managed to get to sleep before the loud, continual steps began, but they woke me later in the night. Also, the doors in this place shut with a bang. When people in neighboring rooms talk, you can hear them plainly. It is just a really noisy place. If you want to get some sleep, do not stay here! On the plus side, the spa is nice. There is no swimming pool. The whirlpool is in a room with a few lounge chairs. It was really quite nice, and was what I enjoyed most about our stay here. Breakfast was adequate. The eggs did not taste real. Perhaps they are reconstituted, I'm not sure, but I didn't care for them. The bacon was good. My slice of French toast was too tough to cut with a knife! You can make your own waffles, and there is a selection of cereals, yogurt, and a few pastries. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel. There must be better choices in a city as large as Lafayette. I almost forgot to mention that beside the parking lot there is a body of water with a fountain. I think it is part of the sewer system. My husband called it an oxidation pond. It doesn't smell very pleasant either.
