Just stayed one night for a cubs game! All staff encountered were friendly and professional! We got a bonus of an upgraded king suite which was amazing! Within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and Wrigley Field. The room was clean and comfortable for our overnight stay! Will stay again if ever in Chicago again!

The ambiance inside and out wins me each time! I love the room layouts & amenities, the shower and products such as soap, shampoo etc.

The staff here needs to listen more and at least pretend to care about customers concerns. Stayed 8 days ago, they did the usual auth hold for room and incidental. They never closed the transaction. Cost of room, extras, nothing. I had to literally argue with staff to tell them they havent closed out the sale to claim their money. Ive talked to someone different on day 4, day 5,, day 6, and day 7. After convincing them to look it up to see what I was saying… they agreed to correct. Its day 8… 4 staff up 4 staff down… authorization still pending. Now I'm getting emails that they do not see mutiple charges on my card and everything is fine. ***i promise you they don't even see one charge on my card*** now its whatever. Ill wait till the 30th day and just thank them for the free stay. As much as I'd like my 50 for the incidentals back… a couple more weeks for the full 179 is a better outcome. Makes me wonder tho… how nobody has questioned their accounting books not balanced by at least 129.71.

In the busy city of Chicago was the most quaint hotel I have ever seen. You walk off the busy street just a few steps down into a garden area that is beautiful. They had it decorated for fall. The inside was very nice and the rooms were very spacious with a beautiful glass walk-in shower. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I plan on returning to this hotel next time I am in town. I recommend this place to anyone and it is in walking distance to Wrigley Field.

This was my first stay here, and I would highly recommend it! The gentleman who checked us in I wish I caught his name, he was super friendly and very personable and I wish he could get proper credit for being awesome! The room was so clean and comfortable and it was very quiet too, didn't hear alot going on outside my room. Although on this trip I did not bring my dogs, I found out they are pet friendly and would allow my pitbulls! All in all a very pleasant experience!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked a month ago, confirmed today, drove over three hours to find that the reservation cannot be found. We were told that they didn't know who we talked to and continued to be unhelpful.

This place is amazing! Such a great location; walking distance within so many great little places worth trying! Yes you have to pay for the parking garage nearby, but it's right next door. The outside is rather pretty, and the room was comfy and fit our family of four perfectly. If/When we come thru Chicago again, we'll definitely be back!

The staff couldn't have been any nicer. Every single employee was just so nice and welcoming. The breakfast was awesome and the location was perfect for attending an event at Wrigley.

I stayed here a few years ago for the Ween shows at the nearby Aragon Ballroom, on St. Patty's day weekend. I must say I loved this hotel in it's entirety. Our room felt amazingly lavish, the staff were beyond helpful and friendly, and the general feel of everything was upscale. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable and yet still very classy hotel on the northside.

This place is great! Right by Wrigley and we are going to the game. Very clean, spacious and updated room. Beds are comfortable and staff was very welcoming. Stayed with my family and felt very safe. I'll definitely be booking here again when I come to Chicago!

The staff here are great. They were very friendly and super helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The free breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast spread. And all in a great location!

The place was nice and clean. Located not far from anything you need or might forget when on your trip. Breakfast was great in morning. Full workout area, sauna room and Jacuzzi. Beds were very comfy. Parking next door safe and okay. Everything of course is within walking distance. Definitely stay again rebook. DePaul parents!

The hotel is perfectly placed for a walk to Wrigley Field. It was about 10-15 minutes away by foot. There are lots of restaurants nearby, too, so that a short baseball-centered trip can be done without any driving. As for the hotel itself, the exterior is very charming, and our room was large and clean. The TV did not work well and the air conditioner was very loud, but it wasn't too hard to overlook those negatives and consider the overall experience quite pleasant!

Great hotel in Uptown/Lake View. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with everything you need. The decor is marvellous, breakfast was OK and the staff always friendly (including housekeeping).
Ideal hotel location to see Chicago: not far to the lake, Addison Station is very close too. Many excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Clear recommendation!

This was our second time staying here for a cubs game. We stayed for 1 night in the 2 bedroom suite in the new annex of the hotel in the building next door. Everything was very nice, new and clean. I do have a few complaints however. Upon checking in, our room was not ready. It was not until almost an hour after check-in that it was ready. You would think the room should have been ready at check-in if they knew there were guests arriving! It was rather frustrating sitting in the lobby for an hour when we could have been resting in our room. Also, the beds were a little firm for my liking, and there was still a small strip of blue painters tape along the wall of one of the bedrooms.

Customer service could have been better, recognition (rewards and loyalty status). Breakfast meats could have improved by offering more than 1 choice. Accommodations were above average (decor was not my style but I'm sure it is for others). Over priced for accomodations, but reasonably priced based on location (City Market rates). Overall my stay was satisfactory.

Lovely building! Outside looks old but everything has been updated. Rooms very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating! Hotel location was convenient to the sites of the City. Staff very helpful to get a cab or Uber to get you on your way quickly.

I stayed for work but had to bring my dog with me, and this hotel worked perfectly for that. The hotel lobby staff was welcoming and friendly, the room was exactly what I needed (it wasn't plush but it had all the items I needed, frig, microwave, coffee maker, shower, internet, …). The breakfast was a treat for the choices in a small area. In fact, I liked the size because other guests were considerate in not clamoring over one another. Parking was $40/night — — that was the only down side, and that parking could be difficult if a game is on at Wrigley field. Easy to get around from here as well!

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and well lit. Hotel is in an older building which ain't a bad thing. Inside of the rooms where fresh and newer looking. If I ever visit the windy city again. I'll stay here.

Very nice hotel with adjacent parking facilities. Within walking distance from the lakefront park and lots of restaurants. The single room was nicely furnished with a tall shower and great lighting. I've stayed a few times now and will continue to do so.

Staff was excellent, location great for our needs, and parking garage practically attached to the hotel. Hotel was well kept and breakfast offerings were tasty and had a good variety. (Location of the 'buffet' is a bit cramped, but do-able. ) Pets were clearly welcome which I was glad to see/know (although we didn't use this amenity during this visit. ) All in all, a great experience and I will only stay at this hotel from here on out! :)

Great location in the heart of the city blocks away from Wrigley Field. Nice facilities, spa, workout room, sauna, great neighborhood, what more could you want. They also have a nice little gas fireplace in the lobby. I'm sitting in front of it now writing this review.

We stay in Chicago quite frequently. And we have yet to have found a hotel that accommodated me and my entire family the way that this hotel did. I truly admit that the staff at this hotel and all of the items that a hotel is rated by where more than Superior. The value of our stay was unsurpassed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Location, cleanliness, management staff Mauricio and his entire staff treated us like family. During our entire stay we felt very comfortable and every request that we made was met with total satisfaction. By all means this is our go to hotel when we return to Chicago for whatever reason. Mauricio, we thank you and your staff for a very comfortable, very warm and welcoming staff of people that made our stay one that we truly appreciate and thank you for.

Affordable stay, surprisingly comfortable rooms (though soft bed) and great accommodations. Close to easy public transit and beautiful neighborhood. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

Pleasant place for an in-city getaway. All the amenities you could want, including fitness room with whirlpool and sauna, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, jetted tub (NOT "hot tub" as advertised). Good restaurants nearby. Really incredible breakfast choices — — not just rolls and coffee — — three kinds of juice, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, waffles, bagels, muffins, and MORE. (Fairly easy walk or bus to Wrigley Field, if that's what you're looking for. )

Books up so fast but this was my first time to get in. I have been to other places nearby and this place is far better. Every staff member was pleasant. Rooms spacious and clean. I have no intention of staying anywhere else when in Boystown.

Good place to rest. Unfortunately it does not have a parking lot and one must use the street and stay. So it makes me a little uncomfortable if there was a car space would be great. Otherwise the service and the rooms are great and nice.

Best Western Hawthorne Terrace is a hidden gem in Chicago. It doesn't feel like a big chain hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. The parking, although an extra cost, is close to the hotel and convenient to access.

Such a friendly, competent staff. Everyone was extremely customer-service oriented and the hotel was extremely well apparently. It had an Echo Dot in every room! Beds were very comfortable and water pressure was extremely good. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent accommodations! Great location. Stayed in a lovely, 2 bed, suite! Wish there was a bathtub, but the shower was fine. Full breakfast, served daily. Starbucks is directly across the street. Street parking as well as a garage (not free). My only issue is with the heat. It doesn't get warm enough. Jordan, At the front desk was friendly and professional. I will be back.

We have been to Chicago many times for pleasure, this time we were coming for a family funeral. The hotel was near the church and we were very happy with the accommodations. Parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. Rooms are large and updated. Staff was all very pleasant.

We enjoy staying at the Best Western Plus Hawthorne Terrace in Chicago. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and a great value. The suites are roomy and comfortable. We have stayed there twice and both visits were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. Kp.

Description sounds much nicer than the actual hotel. Suites are in a separate building so you have to walk outside to get to the main building. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Shower was fantastic and hot, but the shower room was very cold. Lobby very small. Suite was very nice with kitchenette and modern sink area. Room was very cold in some places, but fine in others. Nice, friendly staff.

We had a very nice king room with Jacuzzi. Well maintained & clean. Staff was professional and helpful. The free breakfast is great with awesome cinnamon rolls & coffee.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Lovely, diverse residential neighborhood. We walked to local restaurants and to Wrigley field. Quick Lyft rides to Navy Pier and all museums. Enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was also very quiet, never heard noise from anyone.

Location, location, location! If you're going to a Cubs game and staying in Chicago, this is the place to stay. While it seems a little over-priced for what you are getting, the location makes up for it. It is under a 10 minute walk to Wrigley Field. When we weren't at the Cubs game, we were a 10 minute walk to the water. Spectacular water front and park system. We were also just a 30 minute bus ride into Chicago and the Navy Pier. There are local bike rentals and an excellent bike trail that goes for miles. The room was clean, but nothing exceptional. They have a nice patio out front to eat breakfast or have a morning coffee. The hot breakfast was really good and varied but the area where you get breakfast is small. If you pick a popular time to eat breakfast, you might be disappointed, as the room can only hold 4 people max. Bed was comfortable, the Internet was fast and overall it was a pleasant experience.

I'm so glad we found this hotel for going to the Cubs games! It's within walking distance to Wrigley and in a safe neighborhood with restaurants and a Starbucks nearby! The hotel itself is charming. It's considered a boutique hotel. It was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, there was bottled water, a microwave and mini fridge in the room and it was a pretty room. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asked about places to eat and directions. The terrace out front with tables is a fun feature. The only complaint I have is the hand held shower head and the low water pressure in the shower. I would highly recommend this hotel for Cubs fans and everyone! It's a hidden gem!

Our party of nine stayed in two suites. Rooms were both roomy and fairly clean. Breakfast was great. We went to two Cubs games and were able to walk to both games. Neighborhood seemed very safe. Parking was extra but right next to the hotel and was inside/covered. Staff was friendly. Location was the big draw to stay at this hotel.

I can't say enough good things about this property. Located in perfect proximity to any of the major attractions. The professionalism of the staff, modern and fresh esthetics and cleanliness of the room, and the sauna/hot tub amenities were way above par. Unbelievable breakfast, quaint terrace to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail with beautiful, mature trees and flowers. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will for sure be staying here again on our next trip to Chicago.

We found this hotel to be a great value. We stayed in a suite that had two King beds, a kitchenette, and a modern and spacious bathroom. It worked perfectly for my husband and I and our daughter. The second King was behind a partial wall, so there was some privacy, and each bed area had its own TV. This is an old hotel, and the decor was a bit worn (for example, the couch), but the beds were very comfortable. For the money, we were very happy with it. We chose this hotel, because our daughter lives in the area, and we wanted to be able to walk to places close by and not have to travel up from the city each day.

What a wonderful place! Starting from the friendly, warm welcome at the front desk. Our room is awesome! And the continental breakfast is delicious! We will definitely be back :)

Stayed in the newer half of the hotel numerous times. I love the feel of a private apartment and the cinnamon buns from Ann Sather's in the morning.

This a perfect hotel for families or friends. The suites have a full kitchen with cookware, stove top, microwave and a mini fridge. I saved so much money since I didn't have to eat out every meal, the hotel paid for itself over and over. It also has a cute courtyard with a fountain which is perfect to sit down and have a cup of coffee. There was also a couch in front of the bed, both facing the tv. Perfect for movie night!

At first we had issues with the air and the toilet. After the GM and the engineer decided that they would have to get into the room and repair the AC. They moved us to an Apartment suite that was much better for the 4 adults in our room. They took care of our issues and made everything right. Very please with this nice little property! Also the breakfast was great! The breakfast room is small but has a lot of great breakfast items to choose from! We all highly recommend this property!

Stayed here for a night over thanksgiving weekend. LOVE the W hotel chain and this location did not disappoint! My bf and I arrived to a beautiful corner room that felt more like a home than a hotel room. They even held our bags, after we had already checked out, while we walked around the city all day. Great location, beautiful rooms, friendly staff… Win win win in my book.

My parents were visiting me in Chicago and my dad ended up having a heart attack. After his open heart surgery they stayed here for about three weeks because of the proximity to the hospital. The room was was nice and spacious and the rate was reasonable. The entire staff went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable during this trying time for my family. Anything they needed was promptly attended to and it was always done with a smile.

Cute hotel in a great location, but the staff isn't very welcoming. A member of the cleaning staff was the only person who would actually greet or acknowledge you at all when you walk through the hotel. One young lady at the front desk always seemed like she didn't care to be there at all. Very nice courtyard out front though, and the breakfast choices were surprisingly diverse.

Nicely remodeled hotel in a great neighborhood.

Got the last room the other night. Was the jacuzzi sweet. $160 per night. Had no choice to take it. Check in lady dropped rate to $150, the internet router was not working and then dropped my rate another $50 to $100. Which is the going rate of a regular room. Very accommodating place but still over priced for a 2 star hotel.

THe location is the best part of this hotel. You are in walking distance to many restaurants, shops or bus and train lines. The rooms are also nice but can be a bit pricey, especially during busy times, but sometimes it is worth it for the location.

Nice hotel with valet parking right next door. Close to Wrigley Field and a short drive to downtown. Rooms are clean and nicely kept. Free hot breakfast which is not common these days and free Wi-Fi. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Right in the middle of boystown. This gem is knee deep in a great neighborhood full of great food and nightlife.! /2 mile walk to Wrigley.

Like people said. A well-located, beautiful hotel near grocery stores and a really awesome little pizza place called Pie Hole. The night manager is okay, he is kind of charm free but the poor guy does deal with drunk Cubs fans all year. There is no pool but in theory there is a sauna and hot tub in the exercise room. Vending machines stock Pepsi as well as apple juice. The free breakfast is unremarkable but who cares, since you can walk to Ann Sather or several new waffle places. Is it worth the money? Maybe.
