It's an average hotel. Coffee machine. Coffee. Alarm clock. Nice sized desk which I appreciated, but it's not well insulated so you can't sleep in in the morning because you will hear dozens of loud doors slamming shut from 8-11am. So it definitely a business type hotel for those who are doing work in town. It's located Ina. Prime spot for touring the city and walking distance from several deep dish pizza places that are famous. Overall it's OK. Free breakfast is nice too.

The rooms were nice and cozy but were nice and big. The beds were really comfortable. The staff were very nice and hospitable. The weather outside was over 90 degrees Fahrenheit so the staff gave us free water bottles. If I ever come back to Chicago I will stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites.

Economic yet classy restaurant in the middle of the financial district in Chicago. There street parking up front for a few hours and a Noodles & Company that is attached to the hotel. You have a nice view of Franklin Street with a nice vibrant Hotel The help is amazing and the bathrooms are really clean.

The room was nice. The bathroom mirror was fantastic. But the lady named Simone at the front desk does not give very accurate information. If you have a car, you do not want to stay here because there is NO PARKING for the hotel. You have to park in a parking garage and it is 45 bucks per night. You only have 24 hours before they charge you an extra night. The lady told us we had until 2 the next day, but when we went to pay for the ticket we got charged an 25 bucks. Also, if you want to eat breakfast make sure you have shoes on or you gotta go back to get them.

Excellent location in the Loop from where you can walk to either River North or the West Loop for a night out. Accommodation in Chicago is expensive, but we got an OK deal at La Quinta for what was Memorial Day week-end (which we did not know). Excellent stay and I would recommend.
However, just a real pity that all the utensils, etc… at breakfast are single usage only — EVERYTHING is for throwing out after using. Honestly, in this day and age, this is no longer acceptable. This is the reason why we give it four stars instead of five.

Lovely receptionist and service. Quick to check you in and make you feel at home. Very responsive and helpful with the stay. One call to the main desk for towels. It was received in about 3 mins. The team cares! Right in the middle of downtown core and great location for transits. The morning breakfast is great! Has everything! I would highly recommend coming here for your stay while in Chicago. And will most definitely return! Thanks again for your great hospitality, La Quinta Inn & Suites staffs! May business flourish.

Rooms were updated. Breakfast was great. Many employees were on hand at breakfast and front desk. Kept breakfast filled and clean. Front desk employees very helpful. Only suggestion is to offer some kind of breakfast option for guests leaving in the early morning before breakfast is available.

Well located hotel in the center of town.

This is the nicest La Quinta I've stayed in, and also not the first La Quinta I've stayed in this week. Recently renovated the entire building is great. Rooms are large and well appointed. The hotel is very convenient and you can't beat the price for the location. The only downside is parking in the attached garage is 46 dollars a night, but that is a competitive rate for the area. Had dinner and breakfast (included) at the 2nd floor restaurant and was very happy with the meals.

Pros: Hotel is clean & modern. Staff are very pleasant and friendly. Free breakfast is good! My kids loved the waffles. Cons: Walls are thin. Luckily only had neighbors 1 night because we could hear everything. When someone shuts a door the walls shake. Parking is convenient at the Poetry parking garage right next door, but it's expensive. Cost $100 to park from Friday 3p to Sunday 3p. No pool or hot tub. Found that businesses closed early or weren't even open on the wknd since this is the business district.

What do you look for when booking a hotel room? Comfort. Exactly what you get when staying here. Rooms may not be very spacious and there's not a lot of privacy since you can hear what others say in the room next to yours. Bed was amazing! No problems with the heater.

The staff was very personable, the free breakfast was much better than average, and the room was fine. The toilet made VERY loud noises all night and there were little lights all over the room that I couldn't avoid seeing when the toilet would wake me up. Otherwise, a good and affordable choice for downtown Chicago.

Surprisingly great affordable hotel in downtown near the Willis Tower. My room was nice with a good view of the street. Nice workout area, didn't try pool. Staff was friendly. Room was pretty spacious with good view of street. Breakfast was excellent with a great eating area with good views. Only 2 complaints: Wi-Fi struggled at times, outlets struggled to charge my phone. Would definitely stay again.

I had a great time here. It is close to the millennium Park and they include a really good breakfast with hot food. The rooms and building are clean and nice.

Great staff and location. Beautiful and comfortable rooms with nice views of the financial district. Walking distance from a lot of great venues and attractions. Love the staff — so friendly! Only downfall is the self parking garage. $46 for a Saturday thru Sunday. Yikes. But other than that, one of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while.

The stay at La Quinta was great! Loved the redesign and the room was perfect. It was clean and bed was so comfortable. Great location and everyone on the staff was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend and will be staying at future La Quinta hotels when traveling. Perfect staycation for me and my boyfriend.

Nice hotel, freshly remodeled and usually much less expensive than the other hotels in the area. It has attached restaurant in which the food is pretty good. Complimentary breakfast, and not that bagels and orange juice joke of a breakfast. Actual bacon, sausage and eggs. I stay here on most of my trips to Chicago.

Whether is absolutely not enough that I could say to anybody who is planning on coming in from out of town or just get away for the weekend, this isn't the central part of downtown Chicago access to all our public transportation, such as the buses and the trains. What we call. L. Trains are wonderful to ride within the city for cheap 2 dollars and 25 cents you can go around the whole loop and come right back to the same place you started out at. And all of this is easily accessed within a block of the hotel. I can't say enough about the cleanliness of this hotel. But the restaurant market creations inside exquisite for the price you get a free full breakfast buffet for lunch at 789 a pound you can use my name Casablanca, and they will give you a 10 percent discount even off of that price. On Thursday, they have free appetizers with any purchase of a cocktail. The most importantly, the service the service is out of this 1 to feel as though you're at home and not a hotel.

Quiet and pleasant.

The location was very Central to the city. It was easy to walk to attractions near by, I felt safe, and the room was clean. The staff was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

Location was great, rooms were well equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and Kuerig. Rooms were very clean except some dirty fingerprints on the bathroom door. When I arrived I found my door was not latching securely, I called the front desk and an engineer arrived within minutes and fixed it. I would definitely stay here again.

Terrific value & great location, especially if traveling by train. Ample choices for free hot breakfast. Very clean & attractive decor. Friendly, accommodating staff. Would highly recommend!

The rooms were very comfortable amd nice to sleep in overnight. I had the pleasure of going to the complementary breakfast which served a wide variety of food with a staff that was greeting me as I walked in. The hotel has close access to a train so traveling far is not a hassle. Great for a short trip in Chicago.

Great hotel, fully renovated and spacious rooms. The Poetry Garage is right next to it, so parking is easy. Breakfast is included which is very convenient.

We stayed one weekend night in the fall. The room appeared to be either new or it was recently renovated. Plenty of power outlets and charging ports in the room for our numeral mobil devices. The shower is hot and strong. Breakfast is included. I don't mind that they checked everyone against their list to make sure only registered guests get to enjoy the breakfast for free. The hotel does not own any parking facility, but there is a public parking garage next door. Due to the garage and hotel are on an one way street, you will need to drive around two blocks from hotel to the garage. Walking from hotel to garage however only takes a few steps.

Good rates for Chicago. They remodeled and there is no longer a hot tub or pool. This changed since I booked and was a surprise to me when I checked in. I booked here for the price and hot tub. Otherwise, remodeling does look good. Breakfast is smaller now, too. Very limited compared to before.

Location was great. 15 minute walk to millennium park. The rooms were in great shape very clean. Really appreciated the free Wi-Fi. Also had free breakfast, which was quite good. Staff was very friendly. Self parking was very close but pretty price. The great price we got on the room made up for it!

This was a great hotel to stay at for our weekend in Chicago. It was very nice, the street it is on was really quiet — something I wouldn't have expected in Chicago! The staff were great. Breakfast was really good. We would certainly stay here again!

Amazing experience. The room is was fantastic, modern fixtures and vibes. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, bringing bags to the room, giving directions, etc. Came here with our cats and had no issues. The price was amazing as well! Perfect location. I would come back in an instant!

It was awesome. Room was nice. Front desk was super helpful. My husband actually forgot his phone charger and they helped us out with getting it back to us. We the bright side breakfast was also quite enjoyable. We had a good time and a good stay.

Almost everything I was offered was available sans true air conditioning and a cold fridge. Only the illusion of temperature control was available with the thermostat as it reset to its default 72 several times and did not blow cold air beyond this point. The fridge was cool, but not cold, and the freezer would not freeze ice. There was no temperature control knob to adjust this. There were also no vending machines, and that upset me greatly as I wanted a late night snack but had no desire to interact with anyone. I heard mention of a store near the front desk, but again, I had no desire to interact with anyone, so chose instead to go without.

Fantastic! Feels super high-end, but reasonably priced, particularly for it's location. I can see Willis Tower from my room, and there are city buses so close that can take you directly to the other major tourist destinations. The Continental breakfast is huge, complete with bacon, sausage, and eggs. Nice security in that you need a hotel guest card to get to the upper levels. Rooms have Central air and the beds are like memory foam and very comfy. No pool, but large exercise room. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed we stayed on was hard. Upon arrival, we learned that the pool and hot tub were closed, though it was not advertised on their site upon booking. The heater kept putting out cold air then hot air, making the room feel uncomfortable.

For the most part, everything was great. It was very loud outside my window, which I am pretty sure the construction woke me at 6:30 am. Staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were quite nice and cozy, I can't complain much.

Its location is amazing. You can anywhere from there. It is a little expensive hotel and you need to pay for parking separetely. High price but good in general.

Hotel is central and well located, meets their objectives and is one and a half blocks from Willis Tower. Includes breakfast.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful as far as helping us find the best route to sites and info on attractions. The breakfast was A-MAZE-ING! Best by far of any hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was extremely clean and larger than I expected. There was even a small fruit basket cold waters in the room. The hotel was located within walking distance to many sites and stores which was very convenient for us. We parked in the garage next door and walked everywhere. The only down side for us was that we brought our dog and there was no grass for like 8 blocks being that the hotel is downtown. Overall it was a great stay and we will definitely be going back.

Clean. Nice size rooms. Walking distance to many places such as Millennium Park, Michigan Ave, Sears Tower. As of this review, reasonably priced compared to other hotels in downtown Chicago. One star off because beds were just "OK" on the comfort scale. I would definitely stay here again.

A decent downtown hotel, not fancy but not crappy either, its in a great location to see all the sights. The whirlpool is tiny and the pool is barely passable, though what the heck are you doing in the pools? Get out and explore Chicago!

I've recently stayed in a suite in a business trip. The room was spacious, quiet. Staffs were friendly. However the room cleanliness was not acceptable. There were two sunflower seeds in shells under the bathroom doors. Bobby pins, dust, hair under night tables, and most disgustingly, a used razor on the bathroom sink counter.

My husband and I had the opportunity to visit Chicago recently. This hotel was a very good choice. The price was right, the location great and the staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a very nice bonus. It would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night while visiting for a soccer match at Soldier Field. The room was clean, but small. Shedd Aquarium and Millennial Park were within walking distance. Breakfast was okay.

We were very pleased when we arrived at La Quinta. My co-worker and I planned our trip well in advance, and it was our first trip to Chicago. We were greeted with smiles and friendliness. When we go to our room, we were pleasantly surprised at the location and our view from our window. The space was wonderful as you could move about without knocking into furniture and such. The staff was extremely helpful with their knowledge of the city and its happenings. We just could not have been more pleased with our stay. We have already discussed that when we go back, we will be returning to La Quinta for our stay and will recommend it to our friends as well. Considering all factors this was a great place to stay. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to walk to area attractions and it worked well for us. Price was competitive, room clean, staff nice, comfortable beds, nice pool area, parking very close, felt secure and safe. My only complaint was breakfast. We stayed several days and each morning the hot breakfast tasted as if it were leftover from prior days and reheated. The waffles were good when the batter wasn't empty which was 2 of the 3 days. The bananas were dark brown — barely good enough for banana bread. We would stay again if given the opportunity.

The room is nice but if you have plans of doing something fun then this is not the place to stay. It is in the business district and there is absolutely nothing to do there. The few restaurants that are buy it are typical ones that you can get in your hometown and they are more expensive and close early. The staff was very friendly but because of the location. I would not stay there again.

So starting from the beginning to the end, there was only one semi-rude receptionist. He snatched my ID and credit card from my hand and acted as if we were a pest to him. The floor I stayed on was a bit smelly but the room was clean and neat. I had the king room on the sixth floor. Breakfast was good and check out was easy. Overall it was a good stay to just get away.

I really want to give this hotel 4.5 stars, as it's not absolutely perfect. Very nice hotel though. I have no idea how much it cost as I stayed only 2 nights, and used a friends rewards card. I was on the 4th floor, so I had a nice street view. Excellent location. Right next to the bus stop and near the station. Continental breakfast. 24hr gym. Buissines rooms. Pool. Free Internet. Cable too, but almost every channel was unwatchable because of the poor signal. Notes: You need to use your key card to go up the elevator. Do not have it near your phone, or it will wipe itself clean because of the magnet. I found a pill at the bottom of the fridge in my room. Cleaning lady missed that.

Rooms were very clean. Beds were stiff, so not as comfortable as I prefer. Hot tub water had a mildew-y smell and caused a little skin irritation. Breakfast consisted of a decent selection from yogurts, cereal, waffles and staff served eggs and meats. Hotel staff was beyond outstanding. Very kind and hospitable.

It was mostly as expected. Cozy room, but the shower leaked like crazy.

When we checked in Thursday night a little after 11 the clerk that was work was VERY rude. When I asked for better directions to the parking ramp I was told there is none. It took us over an hour to find the ramp and than find our way back to the hotel because everyone we asked to show us where the hotel was didn't know where it was. I have a bad back so when we FINALLY found the hotel I got a cart for our stuff because at this point I can barely walk. The rude clerk says to me I better bring it back as he is laying on the counter. I looked at him and said if I feel like it cuz at this point your lucky VERY poor service and I will NOT be staying at this location again. So glad I know that is isn't normal for this hotel chain and not how they normally treat their customers. I will be also putting a call into their corporate office.

Location is very nice. Walking distance from a lot of shops, restaurants, the train station and the Willis Tower. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room, but the electronics in our particular room had a few technical difficulties that needed fixing.

Outstanding front desk help. There advice on places to eat and drink were spot on. Very nice clean rooms. It was perfect.

Double charge for the wrong room for someone under same name. Billing incorrect and been trying to get corrected but was billed again in credit card. Rude front desk person who gave my reservation to the person with same last name. Never corrected error nor did he care to change credit card information so he gave the other parth my credit card number. No response from downtown Chicago hotel except for another charge on credit card. Really nothing special — tiny pool and hot tub for two. Unreal — will never use them for business trip again.

A modern hotel with one wall outlet in rooms, no USB ports, and very slow internet speeds (although complementary). No shampoo or lotion in rooms, but Showtime and a few other premium channels are available on the tv. Room service is outsourced to another restaurant with steep delivery fees.

Mediocre design. No view. A gym the size of a broom closet and all for a premium rate.

Clean, but no supply of bottled water and body lotion. Free breakfast. Lunch and dinner delivery in five minutes. Overall good stay.

This hotel is terrible! First off they gave us the wrong room when we checked in. Then they checked us out twice, "by mistake", so we had to reset our key. Also, they tried to over charge me for my stay by $100.00. They fixed it at the desk but, it looked funny like they were trying to pull a fast one. Stay at a real Hotel when you visit Chicago. Avoid this junk.

Attractive, comfortable room with nice TV and a great continental breakfast that goes until 10 (9 on Monday). The pool is tiny, however. High-speed internet is a plus.

Good service, time-consuming to give us the second room but compensated it excellent for giving us a suite. The only thing I'm like bad experience is breakfast which includes very little varied and disposable dishes. From there on out every chord.

Overall a great hotel experience. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast was a little crowded on the weekend but a good variety of food. Pool was a little chilly but the hot tub was fantastic. As a young couple with two kids under the age of 5, it was perfect for our first Chicago experience. Will definitely stay here again if we ever make it back.

It was my first time ever in Chicago and the staff was very helpful in directions and sharing valuable information on getting a taxi or public transportation. The suite I was in was tidy and very well spaces. The breakfast needed better selections but over all I had a wonderful stay! The restroom was very cleand and I was very grateful for that.

The room was fine. Adequate. But in the middle of the night, both nights, there was loud, banging, construction sound outside. Like miniature explosions. I spoke to the front desk on the second morning and was told this is a known problem and they would move me to another room. A known problem! Don't put anyone there in the first place. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to stay in downtown — very close to the Willis Tower. The rooms are brand new and very clean. Can't beat the free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Stayed there with my family over a weekend. Saw a lot of NFL fans staying here when their team was in town to play da Bears. Parking is extra at another lot, but that's at most downtown hotels in Chicago. Access to the parking lot is easy though.
